2Black phosphorus-based photothermal therapy with aCD47-mediated immune checkpoint blockade for enhanced cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Here,we describe a combination strategy of black phosphorus(BP)-based photothermal therapy together with anti-CD47 antibody(aCD47)-based immunotherapy to synergistically enhance cancer treatment.Tumour resistance to immune checkpoint blockades in most cancers due to immune escape from host surveillance,along with the initiation of metastasis through immunosuppressive cells in the tumour microenvironment,remains a significant challenge for cancer immunotherapy.aCD47,an agent for CD47/SIRPαaxis blockade,induces modest phagocytic activity and a low response rate for monotherapy,resulting in failures in clinical trials.We showed that BP-mediated ablation of tumours through photothermal effects could serve as an effective strategy for specific immunological stimulation,improving the inherently poor immunogenicity of tumours,which is particularly useful for enhancing cancer immunotherapy.BP in combination with aCD47 blockade activates both innate and adaptive immunities and promotes local and systemic anticancer immune responses,thus offering a synergistically enhanced effect in suppression of tumour progression and in inducing abscopal effects for inhibition of metastatic cancers.Our combination strategy provides a promising platform in which photothermal agents could help to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of immunotherapy.Zhongjian Xie Minhua Peng Ruitao Lu Xiangying Meng Weiyuan Liang Zhongjun Li Meng Qiu Bin Zhang Guohui Nie Ni Xie Han Zhang Paras N.Prasad 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3
3Noise-induced bistable switching dynamics through a potential energy landscape显示文摘Interlinked positive feedback loops,an important building block of biochemical systems,can induce bistable switching,leading to long-lasting state changes by brief stimuli.In this work,prevalent mutual activation between two species as another positive feedback is added to a generic interlinked positive-feedback-loop model originating from many realistic biological circuits.A stochastic fluctuation of the positive feedback strength is introduced in a bistable interval of the feedback strength,and bistability appears for the moderate feedback strength at a certain noise level.Stability analysis based on the potential energy landscape is further utilized to explore the noise-induced switching behavior of two stable steady states.Yuanhong Bi Zhuoqin Yang Xiangying Meng Qishao Lu 2015Acta Mechanica Sinica2015,31,2:2

7Anomalous crystal structure of γ' phase in the Mg-RE-Zn(Ag) series alloys:Causality clarified by ab initio study显示文摘The crystal structure of the single-unit-cell thickness γ ' phase,as a key strengthening phase in Mg-REZn(Ag) series alloys,has been extensively studied,and several structural models have been proposed in the past two decades.However,these reported models,and even the lattice constants at the same proposed structure,are scattered severely,which has led to considerable confusion and not available for further mechanical property simulation and prediction of Mg alloys containing this phase.In this study,by using first-principles calculations,the crystal structure of y' phase is clarified,resolving the discrepancies among different experiments,and its intrinsic mechanical properties have also been studied for the first time.It is verified that the γ ' phase contains quasi-five atomic layers,instead of the previously reported tri-layer,and surprisingly,its crystal structure has many variants,which would change with the alloy composition.Besides,with the help of the simulated selected area electron diffraction(SAED) patterns,it is found that the atoms in the central layer remain partially ordered distribution,and this ordered extent primarily depends on the atomic ratio of RE:Zn(Ag) and the solute content in an alloy.That is,the ordered extent increases with decreasing the atomic ratio of RE:Zn(Ag) and/or increasing solute content of alloy,and vice versa.Ag and Zn dissolved in the γ' phase would produce almost opposed mechanical anisotropy for the γ ' phase under the identical crystal structure,and the addition of Ag shows more efficient on increasing the shear modulus of γ' phase.Junyuan Bai Xueyong Pang Xiangying Meng Hongbo Xie Hucheng Pan Yuping Ren Min Jiang Gaowu Qin 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,36,1:1

10Border collision bifurcations in 3D piecewise smooth chaotic circuit显示文摘A variety of border collision bifurcations in a three-dimensional(3D) piecewise smooth chaotic electrical circuit are investigated. The existence and stability of the equilibrium points are analyzed. It is found that there are two kinds of non-smooth fold bifurcations. The existence of periodic orbits is also proved to show the occurrence of non-smooth Hopf bifurcations. As a composite of non-smooth fold and Hopf bifurcations,the multiple crossing bifurcation is studied by the generalized Jacobian matrix. 14Stability and boundary equilibrium bifurcations of modified Chua's circuit with smooth degree of 3显示文摘Chua's circuit is a well-known nonlinear electronic model, having complicated nonsmooth dynamic behaviors. The stability and boundary equilibrium bifurcations for a modified Chua's circuit system with the smooth degree of 3 are studied. The parametric areas of stability are specified in detail. It is found that the bifurcation graphs of the supercritical and irregular pitchfork bifurcations are similar to those of the piecewise-smooth continuous(PWSC) systems caused by piecewise smoothness. However, the bifurcation graph of the supercritical Hopf bifurcation is similar to those of smooth systems. 15Treatment of Microalgae in Ballast Water Using Hydroxyl Radical in Accordance with the D-2 Ballast Water Discharge Standard显示文摘The effect of hydroxyl radical(·OH) on microalgae in ballast water is experimentally investigated. An ?OH plasma generator, which has a thin plate discharge Ag electrode covered by two α-Al2 O3 dielectric layers, is built. The plasma generator is filled with O2 and gaseous H2 O and is powered by a homemade power supply. ?OH radicals are generated by a series of plasma reactions and then dissolved into ballast water to kill microalgae. The maximum density of the killed microalgae is about 11 000 cells per milliliter. At this density, the microalgae are not reactivated at the 48th hour and the 120th hour in the treated ballast waters, and the content of chlorophyll in these microalgae decreases by 100%. The water quality returns to a normal level after 120 hours without secondary pollution of aquatic organisms and environment. These results show that the requirements of the D-2 ballast water discharge standard defined by the International Maritime Organization(IMO) are satisfied with the proposed treatment, and that ·OH is an ideal substance for killing microalgae during ballast water replacement of ships.MENG Xiangying CHEN Cao BAI Mindong SUN Jian MENG Fanpeng 2014高电压技术2014,40,1:0
16A New Method for In-Situ Measurement of Internal Solitary Waves Based on the Stimulated Raman Scattering in Optical Fibers显示文摘In-situ measurement of internal solitary waves(ISWs)is complicated in the ocean due to their randomness.At present,the ISWs are mainly detected by the chain structure of conductivity-temperature-depth systems(CTDs)or temperature sensors.The high cost limits the spatial resolution,which ultimately affects the measuring accuracy of the ISW amplitude.In this paper,we developed an experimental measurement system for detecting ISWs based on the stimulated Raman scattering in distributed optical fibers.This system has the advantages of high precision,low cost,and easy operation.The experimental results show that the system is consistent with CTDs in the measurement of vertical ocean temperature variation.The spatial resolution of the system can reach 1.0 m and the measuring accuracy of temperature is 0.2℃.We successfully detected 3 ISWs by the system in the South China Sea and two optical remote sensing images collected on May 18,2021,the same day of two detected ISWs,verify the occurrence of the measured ISWs.We used the image pairs method to calculate the phase velocity of ISW and the result is 1.71 ms^(-1).By extracting the distances between wave packets,it can be found that the semi-diurnal tide generates the detected ISWs.The impact of the tidal current velocity on the ISW in amplitude is undeniable.Undoubtedly,the system has a great application prospect for detecting ISWs and other dynamic phenomena in the ocean.WANG Jing ZHANG Meng MIAO Xiangying YANG Zhonghao LI Zhixin HUO Dianheng MIAO Hongli 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,3:0
