12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). The present guideline includes the underlying diseases of syncope in children and adolescents, the diagnostic procedures, methodology and clinical significance of standing test and headup tilt test, the clinical diagnosis vasovagal syncope, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, orthostatic hypotension and orthostatic hypertension, and the treatment of syncope as well as follow-up.Cheng Wang Yaqi Li Ying Liao Hong Tian Min Huang Xiangyu Dong Lin Shi Jinghui Sun Hongfang Jin Junbao Du Jindou An Jie Chen Mingwu Chen Qi Chen Sun Chen Yonghong Chen Zhi Chen Adolphus Kai-tung Chau Junbao Du Zhongdong Du Junkai Duan Hongyu Duan Xiangyu Dong Lin Feng Lijun Fu Fangqi Gong Yonghao Gui Ling Han Zhenhui Han Bing He Zhixu He Xiufen Hu Yimin Hua Guoying Huang Min Huang Ping Huang Yujuan Huang Hongfang Jin Mei Jin Bo Li Fen Li Tao Li Xiaohui Li Xiaoyan Liu Yan Li Haitao Lv Tiewei Lv Zipu Li Luyi Ma Silin Pan Yusheng Pang Hua Peng Yuming Qin Jie Shen Lin Shi Kun Sun Jinghui Sun Hong Tian Jie Tian Cheng Wang Hong Wang Lei Wang Jinju Wang Wendi Wang Yuli Wang Rongzhou Wu Tianhe Xia Yanyan Xiao Chunhong Xie Yanlin Xing Zhenyu Xiong Baoyuan Xu Yi Xu Hui Yan Shiwei Yang Qijian Yi Xia Yu Xianyi Yu Yue Yuan Hongyan Zhang Huili Zhang Li Zhang Qingyou Zhang Xi Zhang Yanmin Zhang Zhiwei Zhang Cuifen Zhao Bin Zhou Hua Zhu 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,23:54
2Poxue Huayu and Tianjing Busui Decoction for cerebral hemorrhage Upregulation of neurotrophic factor expression显示文摘This study established a rat model of cerebral hemorrhage by injecting autologous anticoagulated blood.Rat models were intragastrically administered 5,10,20 g/kg Poxue Huayu and Tianjing Busui Decoction, supplemented with Hirudo, raw rhubarb, raw Pollen Typhae, gadfly,Fructrs Trichosanthis,Radix Notoginseng,Rhizoma Acori Talarinowii, and glue of tortoise plastron, once a day,for 14 consecutive days. Results demonstrated that brain water content significantly reduced in rats with cerebral hemorrhage, and intracerebral hematoma volume markedly reduced after treatment.Immunohistochemical staining revealed that brain-derived neurotrophic factor, tyrosine kinase B and vascular endothelial growth factor expression noticeably increased around the surrounding hematoma.Reverse transcription-PCR revealed that brain-derived neurotrophic factor and tyrosine kinase B mRNA expression significantly increased around the surrounding hematoma.Neurologic impairment obviously reduced. These results indicated that Poxue Huayu and Tianjing Busui Decoction exert therapeutic effects on cerebral hemorrhage by upregulating the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor.Jixiang Ren Xiangyu Zhou Jian Wang Jianjun Zhao Pengguo Zhang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,22:19
3Human monoclonal antibodies block the binding of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein to angiotensin converting enzyme 2 receptor显示文摘According to the World Health Organization(WHO)newly updated situation report on March 18th,2020,the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has confirmed 191,127 cases and claimed 7807 deaths worldwide.1 The etiological agent of COVID-19 has been identified as a novel coronavirus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),belonging to Sarbecovirus subgenus(genus Betacoronavirus, family Coronaviridae)and showing 79.6 and 96.2%sequence identity in nucleotide to SARS-CoV and a bat coronavirus(BatCoV RaTG13),respectively.2–4 Like SARS-CoV infection,a substantial fraction of COVID-19 patients exhibits severe respiratory symptoms and has to be hospitalized in intensive care unit.5–8 Although the mortality rate of COVID-19 is significantly lower than that of SARS-CoV infection,SARS-CoV-2 shows much higher human-to-human transmission rate, rapidly leading to a global pandemic declared by WHO on March 11th,2020.Xiangyu Chen Ren Li Zhiwei Pan Chunfang Qian Yang Yang Renrong You Jing Zhao Pinghuang Liu Leiqiong Gao Zhirong Li Qizhao Huang Lifan Xu Jianfang Tang Qin Tian Wei Yao Li Hu Xiaofeng Yan Xinyuan Zhou Yuzhang Wu Kai Deng Zheng Zhang Zhaohui Qian Yaokai Chen Lilin Ye 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6:17
4Transcriptional Regulation of miR528 by OsSPL9 Orchestrates Antiviral Response in Rice显示文摘Many microRNAs (miRNAs) are critical regulators of plant antiviral defense. However, little is known about how these miRNAs respond to virus invasion at the transcriptional level. We previously show that defense against Rice stripe virus (RSV) invasion entailed a reduction of miR528 accumulation in rice, alleviating miR528-mediated degradation of L-Ascorbate Oxidase (AO) mRNA and bolstering the antiviral activity of AO.Here we show that the miR528-A0 defense module is regulated by the transcription factor SPL9.SPL9 displayed high-affinity binding to specific motifs within the promoter region of miR528 and activated the expression of miR528 gene in vivo.Loss-of-function mutations in SPL9 caused a significant reduction in miR528 accumulation but a substantial increase of AO mRNA,resulting in enhanced plant resistance to RSV.Conversely, transgenic overexpression of SPL9 stimulated the expression of miR528 gene, hence lowering the level of AO mRNA and compromising rice defense against RSV.Importantly, gain in RSV susceptibility did not occur when SPL9 was overexpressed in mir528 loss-of-function mutants,or in transgenic rice expressing a miR528-resistant AO.Taken together, the finding of SPL9-mediated transcriptional activation of miR528 expression adds a new regulatory layer to the miR528-A0 antiviral defense pathway.Shengze Yao Zhirui Yang Rongxin Yang Yu Huang Ge Guo Xiangyue Kong Ying Lan Tong Zhou He Wang Wenming Wang Xiaofeng Cao Jianguo Wu Yi Li 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,8:10
5Potential targets for protecting against hippocampal cell apoptosis after transient cerebral ischemiareperfusion injury in aged rats显示文摘Mitochondria play an important role in neuronal apoptosis caused by cerebral ischemia, and the role is mediated by the expression of mitochondrial proteins. This study investigated the involvement of mitochondrial proteins in hippocampal cell apoptosis after transient cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in aged rats using a comparative proteomics strategy. Our experimental results show that the aged rat brain is sensitive to ischemia-reperfusion injury and that transient ischemia led to cell apoptosis in the hippocampus and changes in memory and cognition of aged rats. Differential proteomics analysis suggested that this phenomenon may be mediated by mitochondrial proteins associated with energy metabolism and apoptosis in aged rats. This study provides potential drug targets for the treatment of transient cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.Xiangyu Ji Li'na Zhang Ran Liu Yingzhi Liu Jianfang Song He Dong Yanfang Jia Zangong Zhou 2014Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,11:9

7The histone methyltransferase EZH2 primes the early differentiation of follicular helper T cells during acute viral infection显示文摘Epigenetic modifications to histones dictate the differentiation of naïve CD4^(+) T cells into different subsets of effector T helper(TH)cells. The histone methyltransferase enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)has been implicated in the mechanism regulating the differentiation of TH1,TH2 and regulatory T(Treg)cells. However, whether and how EZH2 regulates follicular helper T(TFH)cell differentiation remain unknown.Using a mouse model of acute lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus(LCMV)infection,we observed abundant EZH2 expression and associated H3K27me3 modifications preferentially in the early committed virus-specific TFH cells compared to those in TH1 cells.Ablation of EZH2 in LCMV-specific CD4^(+) T cells leads to a selective impairment of early TFH cell fate commitment, but not late TFH differentiation or memory TFH maintenance.Mechanistically,EZH2 specifically stabilizes the chromatin accessibility of a cluster of genes that are important for TFH fate commitment, particularly B cell lymphoma 6(Bcl6),and thus directs TFH cell commitment. Therefore,we identified the chromatin-modifying enzyme EZH2 as a novel regulator of early TFH differentiation during acute viral infection.Xiangyu Chen Guoshuai Cao Jialin Wu Xinxin Wang Zhiwei Pan Jianbao Gao Qin Tian Lifan Xu Zhirong Li Yaxing Hao Qizhao Huang Pengcheng Wang Minglu Xiao Luoyingzi Xie Shupei Tang Zhenyu Liu Li Hu Jianfang Tang Ran He Li Wang Xinyuan Zhou Yuzhang Wu Mengjie Chen Beicheng Sun Bo Zhu Jun Huang Lilin Ye 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,3:4
8Association between diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic viral hepatitis, and the risk of multiple myeloma:a case-control study显示文摘Objective This case-control study aimed to investigate whether diabetes mellitus(DM),hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and chronic viral hepatitis are risk factors for multiple myeloma(MM).Moreover, the clinical characteristics of MM patients with or without the abovementioned exposure factors were analyzed. Methods In total,340 MM patients and 680 patients with benign diseases who were hospitalized from January 2012 to December 2017 were classified under the case group and control group, respectively.Data about medical history of DM,hypertension, hyperlipidemia and chronic viral hepatitis were collected by reviewing medical records.Univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted to compare the history of DM,hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and viral hepatitis between the two groups.Considering DM,hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and chronic viral hepatitis as exposure factors, clinical characteristics, such as renal function and presence of fungal and other types of infections, between the exposed and nonexposed groups were analyzed. Results No significant difference was observed in the prevalence of DM,hypertension, and hyperlipidemia between the case and control groups.MM patients had a higher prevalence of chronic viral hepatitis than those with benign diseases. No significant difference was observed in the prevalence of renal dysfunction, fungal infection, and non-fungal infections in MM patients with or without DM,hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.MM patients with chronic viral hepatitis had a significantly higher prevalence of nonfungal infections during hospitalization than those without. Conclusion No significant association was noted between MM and DM,hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.Chronic viral hepatitis is correlated to a significantly higher risk of MM,and MM patients with chronic viral hepatitis were more susceptible to non-fungal infections during hospitalization.Although a non-significant trend was observed in this study,we believe that DM and hypertension might be associated with a higher risk of MM.Thus,large-scale studies must be conducted to validate the results of the current study.Gang Zhou Xiangyu Meng Shangqin Liu 2020Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,2:3
9Unraveling SO_(2)-tolerant mechanism over Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2) catalysts for NO_(x) reduction显示文摘Developing low-temperature SO_(2)-tolerant catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x) is still a challenging task. The sulfation of active metal oxides and deposition of ammonium bisulfate deactivate catalysts, due to the difficult decomposition of the as-formed sulfate species at low temperatures(<300℃).In recent years, metal sulfate catalysts have attracted increasing attention owing to their good catalytic activity and strong SO_(2) tolerance at higher temperatures(>300℃);however,the SO_(2)-tolerant mechanism of metal sulfate catalysts is still ambiguous. In this study,Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2) and Ce_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2) catalysts were prepared using the corresponding metal sulfate salt as the precursor. These catalysts were tested for their low-temperature activity and SO_(2) tolerance activity.Compared to Ce_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2),Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2) showed significantly better low-temperature activity and SO_(2) tolerance. It was demonstrated that less surface sulfate species formed on Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2) and Ce_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2).However,the presence of NO and O_(2) could assist the decomposition of NH_(4)HSO_(4) over Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2) at a lower temperature, endowing Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2) with better low-temperature SO_(2) tolerance than Ce_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2).This study unraveled the SO_(2)-tolerant mechanism of Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3)/TiO_(2)at lower temperatures(<300℃),and a potential strategy is proposed for improving the low-temperature SO_(2)-tolerance of catalysts with Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3) as the main active component or functional promoter.Chong Feng Lupeng Han Penglu Wang Xiangyu Liu Guangyuan Zhou Dengsong Zhang 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1:3
10Experimental study on ageing characteristics of electric locomotive ethylene propylene rubber cable under mechanical-thermal combined action显示文摘The train-mounted ethylene propylene rubber(EPR)cables of electric locomotive are partly restricted by the body structure and spatial layout and are in a combined envi-ronment of strong mechanical bending and thermal ageing. The degradation character-istics of the insulation layer have not yet received sufficient attention. In order to study the ageing characteristics of EPR cables of electric locomotive under the combined action of machine and thermal, this paper designs a bending-thermal combined ageing test platform for cables with a temperature of 135°C,bending diameter of 393.52 mm,590.28 mm and unbending cables, and tests after ageing. The product has been tested by infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, elongation at break and broadband dielectric spectroscopy. The research results show that the bending outer part of the train-mounted EPR cable is a pain point.Under the combined action of bending and thermal, whether it is microstructure or macro performance, the degradation rate and degree of the bending of outer insulation layer are greater than the value under a single thermal ageing condition.Mechanical bending has an accelerating effect on the ageing of the EPR insulation layer. The research results can provide a reference for the ageing characteristics of the train-mounted EPR cable under the bending-thermal synergy and the evaluation of operating state of the train-mounted EPR cable under bending-thermal operating conditions.Lijun Zhou Cong Liu Shengwei Quan Xiangyu Zhang Dongyang Wang 2022High Voltage2022,7,4:3
11Empirical formulae for electric double-layer repulsion between two arbitrarily inclined clay particles显示文摘To understand the mesoscopic mechanism of clayey soil in view of macroscopic behavior, it is essential to quantitatively calculate the electric double-layer repulsion between arbitrarily inclined clay particles. However, suitable calculation methods with high efficiency and accuracy are still rare at present in literature. Based on a great number of numerical calculations of the repulsion between two inclined platy clay particles, explicit empirical formulae for estimating electric double-layer repulsion between clay particles are put forward. Comparison between the empirical solutions and corresponding numerical results shows that the proposed formulae have a reasonable accuracy, and application of the presented formula is easy and efficient.Xiangyu Shang Juming Lu Lianfei Kuang Chen Yang Guoqing Zhou 2018Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2018,10,6:3
12Residual stress variation in SiC_(f)/SiC composite during heat treatment and its effects on mechanical behavior显示文摘Residual stress originated from thermal expansion mismatch determines the mechanical properties of ceramic matrix composites(CMCs).Here, continuous SiC fiber reinforced SiC matrix(SiC_(f)/SiC)composites were fabricated by nano-infiltration and transient eutectic-phase(NITE)method,and the residual stress of the composites was investigated using high-temperature Raman spectrometer. With temperature increasing from room temperature to 1400℃,the residual stresses of the matrix and the fiber decrease from 1.29 to 0.62 GPa and from 0.84 to 0.55 GPa in compression respectively, while that of the interphase decreases from 0.16 to 0.10 GPa in tension. The variation of residual stress shows little effect on the tensile strength of the composites, while causes a slight decrease in the tensile strain. The suppression of fiber/matrix debonding and fiber pulling-out caused by the residual stress reduction in the interphase is responsible for the decreasing tensile strain. This work can open up new alternatives for residual stress analysis in CMCs.Xiaowu CHEN Guofeng CHENG Junmin ZHANG Feiyu GUO Haijun ZHOU Chunjin LIAO Hongda WANG Xiangyu ZHANG Shaoming DONG 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,5:3

14A comprehensive analysis of the Bencao(herbal)small RNA Atlas reveals novel RNA therapeutics for treating human diseases显示文摘Cross-kingdom herbal mi RNA was first reported in 2012.Using a modified herbal extraction protocol,we obtained 73,677,287sequences by RNA-seq from 245 traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),of which 20,758,257 were unique sequences. We constructed a Bencao(herbal)small RNA(s RNA)Atlas(http://bencao.bmicc.cn),annotated the sequences by sequence-based clustering, and created a nomenclature system for Bencao s RNAs.The profiles of 21,757 mi RNAs in the Atlas were highly consistent with those of plant mi RNAs in mi RBase.Using software tools, our results demonstrated that all human genes might be regulated by s RNAs from the Bencao s RNA Atlas, part of the predicted human target genes were experimentally validated, suggesting that Bencao s RNAs might be one of the main bioactive components of herbal medicines. We established roadmaps for oligonucleotide drugs development and optimization of TCM prescriptions. Moreover, the decoctosome,a lipo-nano particle consisting of 0.5%–2.5%of the decoction, demonstrated potent medical effects. We propose a Bencao(herbal)Index, including small-molecule compounds(SM),protein peptides(P),nucleic acid(N),non-nucleic and non-proteinogenic large-molecule compounds(LM)and elements from Mendeleev's periodic table(E),to quantitatively measure the medical effects of botanic medicine. The Bencao s RNA Atlas is a resource for developing gene-targeting oligonucleotide drugs and optimizing botanical medicine, and may provide potential remedies for the theory and practice of one medicine.Yinghao Cao Yexuan Lin Na Sun Xinyi Du Yixin Dong Song Mei Xingyu Deng Xiaobei Li Shaoting Guo Kegong Tang Jiaqi Liu Xiangyu Qiao Dandan Zhao Yuhao Qin Cong Zhang Tianyi Xin Xiaohu Shi Congzhao Zhou Tao Dong De-an Guo Benedikt MKessler Dong Xu Jingyuan Song Fengming Huang Xiaoyue Wang Chengyu Jiang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10:2

18The dichotomous and incomplete adaptive immunity in COVID-19 patients with different disease severity显示文摘The adaptive immunity that protects patients from coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),is not well characterized. In particular, the asymptomatic patients have been found to induce weak and transient SARS-CoV-2 antibody responses, but the underlying mechanisms remain unknown;meanwhile, the protective immunity that guide the recovery of these asymptomatic patients is elusive. Here,we characterized SARS-CoV-2-specific B-cell and T-cell responses in 10 asymptomatic patients and 64 patients with other disease severity(mild,n=10,moderate,n=32,severe,n=12)and found that asymptomatic or mild symptomatic patients failed to mount virus-specific germinal center(GC)B cell responses that result in robust and prolonged humoral immunity, assessed by GC response indicators including follicular helper T(TFH)cell and memory B cell responses as well as serum CXCL13 levels.Alternatively, these patients mounted potent virus-specific TH1 and CD8+T cell responses. In sharp contrast, patients of moderate or severe disease induced vigorous virus-specific GC B cell responses and associated TFH responses;however, the virus-specific TH1 and CD8+T cells were minimally induced in these patients. These results, therefore, uncovered the protective immunity in asymptomatic patients and also revealed the strikingly dichotomous and incomplete humoral and cellular immune responses in COVID-19 patients with different disease severity, providing important insights into rational design of effective COVID-19 vaccines.Leiqiong Gao Jing Zhou Sen Yang Lisha Wang Xiangyu Chen Yang Yang Ren Li Zhiwei Pan Jing Zhao Zhirong Li Qizhao Huang Jianfang Tang Li Hu Pinghuang Liu Guozhong Zhang Yaokai Chen Lilin Ye 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,4:2
19A humidity resistant and high performance triboelectric nanogenerator enabled by vortex-induced vibration for scavenging wind energy显示文摘Wind energy is a promising renewable energy source for a low-carbon society. This study is to develop a fully packaged vortexinduced vibration triboelectric nanogenerator(VIV-TENG)for scavenging wind energy. The VIV-TENG consists of a wind vane, internal power generation unit,an external frame, four springs,a square cylinder and a circular turntable. The internal power generation unit consists of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)balls,a honeycomb frame and two copper electrodes.Different from most of the previous wind energy harvesting TENGs,the bouncing PTFE balls are fully packaged in the square cylinder. The distinct design separates the process of contact electrification from the external environment, and at the same time avoids the frictional wear of the ordinary wind energy harvesting TENGs.The corresponding VIV parameters are investigated to evaluate their influence on the vibration behaviors and the energy output.Resonant state of the VIV-TENG corresponds to the high output performance from the VIV-TENG.The distinct, robust structure ensures the full-packaged VIV-TENG can harvest wind energy from arbitrary directions and even in undesirable weather conditions. The study proposes a novel TENG configuration for harvesting wind energy and the VIV-TENG proves promising powering micro-electro-mechanical appliances.Yan Wang Tianyu Chen Shuowen Sun Xiangyu Liu Zhiyuan Hu Zhenhui Lian Long Liu Qiongfeng Shi Hao Wang Jianchun Mi Tongming Zhou Chengkuo Lee Minyi Xu 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:2
