| 1 | Mode splitting transmission effect of surface wave excitation through a metal hole array显示文摘The resonant frequencies of the excited surface waves on a metal hole array with respect to the incident angle were studied in the terahertz region.The experimental and theoretical results demonstrate that the resonant peak of surface wave excitation splits into two when transmitted through a metal hole array off-normally.The high-order mode with resonant frequency above the cutoff frequency fc(plasma frequency effect)has a shorter attenuation length than that of the low-order mode whose resonant frequency is below fc.The reason is that the high-order mode is a coupled mode consisting of surface wave and hole modes,while the low-order mode is just an excited surface wave(which can be considered as the spoof surface plasmons).Our investigation may open a door to distinguish the spoof surface plasmons and the coupled modes of surface waves and hole modes. | Lin Chen Yiming Zhu Xiaofei Zang Bin Cai Zhou Li Le Xie Songlin Zhuang | 2013 | Light(Science & Applications)2013,2,1: | 6 |
| 2 | Metasurfaces for manipulating terahertz waves显示文摘Terahertz(THz)science and technology have attracted significant attention based on their unique applications in non-destructive imaging,communications,spectroscopic detection,and sensing.However,traditional THz devices must be sufficiently thick to realise the desired wave-manipulating functions,which has hindered the development of THz integrated systems and applications.Metasurfaces,which are two-dimensional metamaterials consisting of predesigned meta-atoms,can accurately tailor the amplitudes,phases,and polarisations of electromagnetic waves at subwavelength resolutions,meaning they can provide a flexible platform for designing ultra-compact and high-performance THz components.This review focuses on recent advancements in metasurfaces for the wavefront manipulation of THz waves,including the planar metalens,holograms,arbitrary polarisation control,special beam generation,and active metasurface devices.Such ultra-compact devices with unique functionality make metasurface devices very attractive for applications such as imaging,encryption,information modulation,and THz communications.This progress report aims to highlight some novel approaches for designing ultra-compact THz devices and broaden the applications of metasurfaces in THz science. | Xiaofei Zang Bingshuang Yao Lin Chen Jingya Xie Xuguang Guo Alexei VBalakin Alexander P.Shkurinov Songlin Zhuang | 2021 | Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2021,2,2: | 4 |
| 3 | Dual-layered metasurfaces for asymmetric focusing显示文摘Asymmetric transmission,defined as the difference between the forward and backward transmission,enables a plethora of applications for on-chip integration and telecommunications.However,the traditional method for asymmetric transmission is to control the propagation direction of the waves,hindering further applications.Metasurfaces,a kind of two-dimensional metamaterials,have shown an unprecedented ability to manipulate the propagation direction,phase,and polarization of electromagnetic waves.Here we propose and experimentally demonstrate a metasurface-based directional device consisting of a geometric metasurface with spatially rotated microrods and metallic gratings,which can simultaneously control the phase,polarization,and propagation direction of waves,resulting in asymmetric focusing in the terahertz region.These dual-layered metasurfaces for asymmetric focusing can work in a wide bandwidth ranging from 0.6 to 1.1 THz.The flexible and robust approach for designing broadband asymmetric focusing may open a new avenue for compact devices with potential applications in encryption,information processing,and communication. | BINGSHUANG YAO XIAOFEI ZANG ZHEN L LIN CHEN JINGYA XIE YIMING ZHU SONGLIN ZHUANG | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,6: | 2 |
| 4 | Simultaneous passivation of bulk and interface defects through synergistic effect of anion and cation toward efficient and stable planar perovskite solar cells显示文摘Bulk and interface carrier nonradiative recombination losses impede the further improvement of power conversion efficiency(PCE)and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).It is highly necessary to develop multifunctional strategy to minimize surface and interface nonradiative recombination losses.Herein,we report a bulk and interface defect passivation strategy via the synergistic effect of anions and cations,where multifunctional potassium sulphate(K_(2)SO_(4))is incorporated at SnO_(2)/perovskite interface.We find that K^(+)ions in K_(2)SO_(4)diffuse into perovskite layer and suppress the formation of bulk defects in perovskite films,and the SO_(4)^(2-)ions remain located at interface via the strong chemical interaction with SnO_(2)layer and perovskite layer,respectively.Through this synergistic modification strategy,effective defect passivation and improved energy band alignment are achieved simultaneously.These beneficial effects are translated into an efficiency increase from 19.45%to 21.18%with a low voltage deficit of0.53 V mainly as a result of boosted open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))after K_(2)SO_(4)modification.In addition,the K_(2)SO_(4)modification contributes to ameliorated stability.The present work provides a route to minimize bulk and interface nonradiative recombination losses for the simultaneous realization of PCE and stability enhancement by rational anion and cation synergistic engineering. | Cong Zhang Huaxin Wang Haiyun Li Qixin Zhuang Cheng Gong Xiaofei Hu Wensi Cai Shuangyi Zhao Jiangzhao Chen Zhigang Zang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,12: | 2 |

| 11 | A study on wheeze models显示文摘In this paper, the finite differenee schemes for the linear and nonlinear models of wheezes are given. The waveform of wheczes is analysed. It is shown that the numerical results of the lincar model of wheezes and Grotberg’s theorehcal results coincide well. The numerical results of the nonlincar model of wheczes are in qualita tive agreement with our expcrimental observations. It is suggested that the nonlinear elastance coefficient (β) causes damping, and is closely related to the flow limitation and the airway collapse. | 12 | Enhanced monopole transition strength from the cluster decay of ^(13)C显示文摘The inelastic excitations and cluster decay of ^(13)C have been measured using the reaction,9Be(^(13)C, ^(13)C* →~9Be + α)~9Be. We observe strong excitation to the 14.3-MeV(1/2-) resonant state from the cluster-decay channel, leading to an enhanced monopole matrix element of(6.3 ± 0.6) fm^2. This large cluster-related monopole strength is a clear indication of the cluster-structure domination of this state and is consistent with the recent prediction of the orthogonality condition model(OCM). | 13 | Concentrations of phthalates metabolites in blood and semen and the potential effects on semen concentration and motility among residents of the Pearl River Delta region in China显示文摘Exposure to phthalate acid esters(PAEs)has been found to have adverse effects on reproduction of human and animal.However,the effects on the semen quality are controversial.In this study,we have collected paired blood and sperm samples from patients(n=103)at a medical clinic in Guangzhou,China,to determine the concentrations of eight phthalate metabolites∑8m-PAEs).The concentration ranges of P8m-PAEs were 2.7-55 and 0.99-17 ng/mL in blood and semen samples,respectively.MEHP(median,3.6 ng/mL in blood and 0.55 ng/mL in semen)and MnOP(median,3.4 ng/mL in blood and 0.69 ng/mL in semen)were the predominant analytes in both blood and semen samples.However,analytes were not correlated in paired blood and semen.Semen motility was significantly associated to the concentrations of∑8m-PAEs in semen,but it did not associate to the concentrations of PAEs in blood.Multi-linear regression analysis,including concentrations of PAEs in both blood and semen,as well as BMI,occupation,living habits,suggested that exposure to PAEs at current environmental levels had very limited effects on semen quality of population in Guangzhou,China. | Xiaofei Song Qiongfang Zhuo Shaoyu Tang Tianfa Xie Zhiyuan Chen Zhijun Zang Yanan Zhang Xiaojun Niu Hua Yin Feng Zeng Chang He | 2020 | Emerging Contaminants2020,6,1: | 0 |
