| 1 | Enhanced physicochemical and biological properties of C/Cu dual ions implanted medical titanium显示文摘It is increasingly popular for titanium and its alloys to be utilized as the medical implants.However,their bioinert nature and lack of antibacterial ability limit their applications.In this work,by utilizing plasma immersion ion implantation and deposition(PIII&D)technology,the titanium surface was modified by C/Cu co-implantation.The mechanical property,corrosion resistance,antibacterial ability and cytocompatibility of modified samples were studied.Results indicate that after C/Cu co-implantation,copper nanoparticles were observed on the surface of titanium,and titanium carbide existed on the near surface region of titanium.The modified surface displayed good mechanical property and corrosion resistance.The Cu/C galvanic corrosion existed on the titanium surface implanted by C/Cu dual ions,and release of copper ions can be effectively controlled by the galvanic corrosion effect.Moreover,improved antibacterial performance of titanium surface can be achieved without cytotoxicity. | Chao Xia Xiaohan Ma Xianming Zhang Kunqiang Li Ji Tan Yuqin Qiao Xuanyong Liu | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,2: | 5 |
| 2 | UV/H2O2 oxidation of tri(2-chloroethyl) phosphate: Intermediate products, degradation pathway and toxicity evaluation显示文摘Tri(2-chloroethyl) phosphate(TCEP) with the initial concentration of 5 mg/L was degraded by UV/H2O2 oxidation process. The removal rate of TCEP in the UV/H2O2 system was 89.1% with the production of Cl-and PO4^3- of 0.23 and 0.64 mg/L. The removal rate of total organic carbon of the reaction was 48.8% and the pH reached 3.3 after the reaction. The oxidative degradation process of TCEP in the UV/H2O2 system obeyed the first order kinetic reaction with the apparent rate constant of 0.0025 min^-1( R^2 = 0.9788). The intermediate products were isolated and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometer. The addition reaction of HO · and H2O and the oxidation reaction with H2O2 were found during the degradation pathway of 5 mg/L TCEP in the UV/H2O2 system. For the first time, environment risk was estimated via the 'ecological structure activity relationships' program and acute and chronic toxicity changes of intermediate products were pointed out. The luminescence inhibition rate of photobacterium was used to evaluate the acute toxicity of intermediate products. The results showed that the toxicity of the intermediate products increased with the increase of reaction time, which may be due to the production of chlorine compounds. | 3 | Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy of some pentoses显示文摘The well-resolved absorption spectra of D-xylose, D-ribose, D-arabinose, D-lyxose and other related substances in the spectral region between 0.3 and 2.0 THz are measured using tera- hertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) at 295 K. Comparing the absorption spectra of different chemicals, we can distinguish the samples easily. | 6 | Hatschek's pit and origin of pituitary gland显示文摘Pituitary gland,or pituitary for short,is characteristic of all vertebrates.As a“master gland”controlling a multitude of important functions in the body,its evolutionary origin has been an object of investigations of evolutionary biology for two centuries.Previous morphological,ultrastructural and immunohistochemical studies suggested the homology of the Hatschek’s pit of amphioxus and vertebrate pituitary.Developmental genetics study showed that the development of Hatschek’s pit and vertebrate pituitary is both subject to regulation by the common genes such as Pit1,Lhx3 and BMP3b.Our recent studies demonstrated that the Hatschek’s pit is able to secrete growth hormone(GH)-like hormone and thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH)-like hormone that both play functions similar to vertebrate GH and TSH.We thus think that the emergence of Hatschek’s pit represents one of important events during endocrine network evolution,which laid a foundation for the subsequent formation of a hypothalamic-pituitary system in vertebrates. | Shicui Zhang Xiaohan Ji | 2022 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,12: | 1 |

| 11 | Self-Assembled Porous-Reinforcement Microstructure-Based Flexible Triboelectric Patch for Remote Healthcare显示文摘Realizing real-time monitoring of physiological signals is vital for preventing and treating chronic diseases in elderly individuals. However,wearable sensors with low power consumption and high sensitivity to both weak physiological signals and large mechanical stimuli remain challenges.Here, a flexible triboelectric patch(FTEP) based on porous-reinforcement microstructures for remote health monitoring has been reported. The porousreinforcement microstructure is constructed by the self-assembly of silicone rubber adhering to the porous framework of the PU sponge. The mechanical properties of the FTEP can be regulated by the concentrations of silicone rubber dilution. For pressure sensing, its sensitivity can be effectively improved fivefold compared to the device with a solid dielectric layer, reaching 5.93 kPa^(-1) under a pressure range of 0–5 kPa. In addition, the FTEP has a wide detection range up to 50 kPa with a sensitivity of 0.21 kPa^(-1). The porous microstructure makes the FTEP ultra-sensitive to external pressure, and the reinforcements endow the device with a greater deformation limit in a wide detection range. | 12 | Thoracic interstitial injection of drug-liposomes in mice for treating atherosclerosis显示文摘Intervaginal space injection(ISI)is a novel mode of administration investigated over the last decade.After injecting nanoparticles into the intervaginal space,they can be transported along low flow resistance channels into the interstitial space.This transport has a certain delivery direction,and site-specific injection can work on specific organs or tissues.In this study,the thorax,a new ISI site in the interstitial surrounding the internal thoracic artery named the thoracic interstitial injection(tISI)was investigated.To prove the targeting ability of the tISI,two sizes of gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)(47 and 87 nm)were administered to mice.After 1 h,the biodistribution of AuNPs in the tissues was measured via single particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(spICP-MS).The results showed that the concentration of AuNPs in the aorta after tISI injection was significantly higher than that after intravenous injection.Moreover,fewer nanoparticles with larger particle sizes were observed to have entered the blood and were better targeted to the aorta.Thereafter,tanshinone IIa sodium sulfonate liposomes were administered for the treatment of aortic atherosclerosis.The proportion of aortic plaques in atherosclerotic Apoe-/-mice administered via tISI was significantly lower than that in other model animals(P<0.001).Furthermore,the proteoglycan content and CD68-positive cell count in the plaques were significantly reduced.The vascular elastic fibers at the plaque site were thickened,and fractures were reduced.tISI was,therefore,determined to be an effective strategy for the treatment of atherosclerotic aortic plaques. | Tun Yan Huizhen Sun Yahong Shi Ya Gao Xi Lu Kai Li Yuting Zhu Qiang Zhang Tingting Li Zhongxian Li Xiaohan Zhou Yuting Guo Yinglu Ji Xiaoli Shi Dong Han | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0 |
