Generation of GHZ-like and cluster-like quadripartite entangled states for continuous variable using a set of quadrature squeezed states显示文摘We designed the experimental generation system of the optical GHZ-like and cluster-like quadripartite entangled states for continuous variables. We theoretically demonstrated that the two different types of quadripartite entangled states can be obtained by the linearly optical transformation of four amplitude-quadrature and phase-quadrature squeezed states produced from a pair of nondegenerate optical parametric amplifiers under appropriate phase relations. The criteria for full inseparability of quadripartite cluster-like state were deduced, and the dependency of the quadripartite entanglement on the initial squeezing degree, the transmission efficiencies of the system and the detection efficiency of homodyne detection were numerically calculated. | SU XiaoLong JIA XiaoJun XIE ChangDe PENG KunChi | 2008 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2008,51,1: | 12
Applying Gaussian quantum discord to quantum key distribution显示文摘In this paper, we theoretically prove that the Gaussian quantum discord state of optical field can be used to complete continuous variable(CV) quantum key distribution(QKD). The calculation shows that secret key can be distilled with a Gaussian quantum discord state against entangling cloner attack. Secret key rate is increased with the increasing of quantum discord for CV QKD with the Gaussian quantum discord state. Although the calculated results point out that secret key rate using the Gaussian quantum discord state is lower than that using squeezed state and coherent state at the same energy level, we demonstrate that the Gaussian quantum discord, which only involving quantum correlation without the existence of entanglement, may provide a new resource for realizing CV QKD. | Xiaolong Su | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,11: | 12
Climate Sensitivity and Feedbacks of a New Coupled Model CAMS-CSM to Idealized CO_2 Forcing: A Comparison with CMIP5 Models显示文摘Climate sensitivity and feedbacks are basic and important metrics to a climate system. They determine how large surface air temperature will increase under CO_2 forcing ultimately, which is essential for carbon reduction policies to achieve a specific warming target. In this study, these metrics are analyzed in a climate system model newly developed by the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS-CSM) and compared with multi-model results from the Coupled Model Comparison Project phase 5(CMIP5). Based on two idealized CO_2 forcing scenarios, i.e.,abruptly quadrupled CO_2 and CO_2 increasing 1% per year, the equilibrium climate sensitivity(ECS) and transient climate response(TCR) in CAMS-CSM are estimated to be about 2.27 and 1.88 K, respectively. The ECS is near the lower bound of CMIP5 models whereas the TCR is closer to the multi-model ensemble mean(MME) of CMIP5 due to compensation of a relatively low ocean heat uptake(OHU) efficiency. The low ECS is caused by an unusually negative climate feedback in CAMS-CSM, which is attributed to cloud shortwave feedback(λSWCL) over the tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean. The CMIP5 ensemble shows that more negative λSWCL is related to larger increase in low-level(925–700 hPa)cloud over the tropical Indo-Pacific under warming, which can explain about 90% of λSWCL in CAMS-CSM. Static stability of planetary boundary layer in the pre-industrial simulation is a critical factor controlling the low-cloud response and λSWCL across the CMIP5 models and CAMS-CSM. Evidently, weak stability in CAMS-CSM favors lowcloud formation under warming due to increased low-level convergence and relative humidity, with the help of enhanced evaporation from the warming tropical Pacific. Consequently, cloud liquid water increases, amplifying cloud albedo, and eventually contributing to the unusually negative λSWCL and low ECS in CAMS-CSM. Moreover, the OHU may influence climate feedbacks and then the ECS by modulating regional sea surface temperature responses. | Xiaolong CHEN Zhun GUO Tianjun ZHOU Jian LI Xinyao RONG Yufei XIN Haoming CHEN Jingzhi SU | 2019 | Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,1: | 11
Simple fabrication of superhydrophobic PLA with honeycomb-like structures for high-efficiency oil-water separation显示文摘Polylactic acid(PLA) is one of the most suitable candidates for environmental pollution treatment because of its biodegradability which will not cause secondary pollution to the environment after application. However, there is still a lack of a green and facile way to prepare PLA oil-water separation materials. In this work,a water-assisted thermally induced phase separation method for the preparation of superhydrophobic PLA oil-water separation material with honeycomb-like structures is reported. The PLA material shows great ability in application and could adsorb 27.3 times oil to its own weight. In addition,it could also be applicated as a filter with excellent efficiency(50.9 m^3 m^(-2) h^(-1)). | Xiaolong Wang Yamin Pan Huan Yuan Meng Su Chunguang Shao Chuntai Liu Zhanhu Guo Changyu Shen Xianhu Liu | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,2: | 7
Sparse Representation for Face Recognition Based on Constraint Sampling and Face Alignment显示文摘Sparse Representation based Classification (SRC) has emerged as a new paradigm for solving recognition problems. This paper presents a constraint sampling feature extraction method that improves the SRC recognition rate. The method combines texture and shape features to significantly improve the recognition rate. Tests show that the combined constraint sampling and facial alignment achieves very high recognition accuracy on both the AR face database (99.52%) and the CAS-PEAL face database (99.54%). | Jing Wang Guangda Su Ying Xiong Jiansheng Chen Yan Shang Jiongxin Liu Xiaolong Ren | 2013 | Tsinghua Science and Technology2013,18,1: | 6
Surveying brain tumor heterogeneity by single-cell RNA-sequencing of multi-sector biopsies显示文摘Brain tumors are among the most challenging human tumors for which the mechanisms driving progression and heterogeneity remain poorly understood. We combined single-cell RNA-seq with multi-sector biopsies to sample and analyze single-cell expression profiles of gliomas from 13 Chinese patients. After classifying individual cells;we generated a spatial and temporal landscape of glioma that revealed the patterns of invasion between the different sub-regions of gliomas. We also used single-cell inferred copy number variations and pseudotime trajectories to inform on the crucial branches that dominate tumor progression. The dynamic cell components of the multi-region biopsy analysis allowed us to spatially deconvolute with unprecedented accuracy the transcriptomic features of the core and those of the periphery of glioma at single-cell level.Through this rich and geographically detailed dataset,we were also able to characterize and construct the chemokine and chemokine receptor interactions that exist among different tumor and non-tumor cells. This study provides the first spatial-level analysis of the cellular states that characterize human gliomas. It also presents an initial molecular map of the cross-talks between glioma cells and the surrounding microenvironment with single-cell resolution. | Kai Yu Yuqiong Hu Fan Wu Qiufang Guo Zenghui Qian Waner Hu Jing Chen Kuanyu Wang Xiaoying Fan Xinglong Wu John EJ Rasko Xiaolong Fan Antonio lavarone Tao Jiang Fuchou Tang Xiao-Dong Su | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,8: | 4
Measurement-device-independent quantum secret sharing and quantum conference based on Gaussian cluster state显示文摘Cluster state is the basic resource for one-way quantum computation and a valuable resource for establishing quantum network, because it has a flexible and varied composition form. We present measurement-device-independent quantum secret sharing(QSS) and quantum conference(QC) schemes based on continuous variable(CV) four-mode cluster state with different structures. The users of the protocol prepare their own Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR) states, respectively. One mode of these EPR states is sent to an untrusted relay where a generalized Bell measurement creates different types of CV cluster states among four users, while the other mode is kept at their own station. We show that a shared secret key for QSS and QC schemes is distilled based on the shared quantum correlation among four users. QC and four users QSS are implemented based on the star shape CV cluster state. QSS with three users are implemented based on the linear or square shape CV cluster states. The results show that the secure transmission distance for an asymmetric network, where the transmission distances between the users and relay are different, is longer than that of a symmetric network, where the transmission distances between the users and relay are the same. The presented schemes provide concrete references for establishing quantum network with the CV cluster state. | Yu WANG Caixing TIAN Qi SU Meihong WANG Xiaolong SU | 2019 | Science China(Information Sciences)2019,62,7: | 4

Nonlinear dynamics of fixed-trim reentry vehicles with moving-mass roll control system显示文摘Nonlinear dynamic characteristics of a fixed-trim reentry vehicle controlled by an internal moving-mass actuator are analyzed. A traditional dynamic model develops into a five-dimensional nonlinear model using classic Euler angles and their derivatives as state variables. Based on the nonlinear motion equations, by setting the offset distance of the moving-mass as a variation parameter, the curves of the system's equilibrium points are presented by numerical methods. Then the distributions and approximate analytical solutions of the equilibrium points are obtained by simplifying the model under the condition of small intrinsic angles. The results show that the numbers and values of the equilibrium points are closely connected with the location of the moving-mass.Furthermore, the stabilities of equilibrium points are examined by the Lyapunov's first method and three groups of stable equilibrium points are obtained. Since only one group of the stable equilibrium points is desired, the angular motion of the system may be unstable or stay in an undesired lock-in state when the offset distance of the moving-mass or the attitude disturbance of the vehicle is too large. | Yafei Wang Jianqiao Yu Yuesong Mei Linlin Wang Xiaolong Su | 2016 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2016,27,6: | 3
Experimental test of error-disturbance uncertainty relation with continuous variables显示文摘The uncertainty relation is one of the fundamental principles in quantum mechanics and plays an important role in quantum information science. We experimentally test the error-disturbance uncertainty relation(EDR) with continuous variables for Gaussian states. Two incompatible continuous-variable observables, amplitude and phase quadratures of an optical mode, are measured simultaneously using a heterodyne measurement system. The EDR values with continuous variables for coherent, squeezed, and thermal states are verified experimentally. Our experimental results demonstrate that Heisenberg’s EDR with continuous variables is violated, while Ozawa’s and Branciard’s EDRs with continuous variables are validated. | Yang Liu Haijun Kang Dongmei Han Xiaolong Su Kunchi Peng | 2019 | Photonics Research2019,7,11: | 3

In situ grown nanoscale platinum on carbon powder as catalyst layer in proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs)显示文摘An extensive study has been conducted on the proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs) with reducing Pt loading. This is commonly achieved by developing methods to increase the utilization of the platinum in the catalyst layer of the electrodes. In this paper,a novel process of the catalyst layers was introduced and investigated.A mixture of carbon powder and Nafion solution was sprayed on the glassy carbon electrode(GCE) to form a thin carbon layer. Then Pt particles were deposited on the surface by reducing hexachloroplatinic(Ⅳ) acid hexahydrate with methanoic acid.SEM images showed a continuous Pt gradient profile among the thickness direction of the catalytic layer by the novel method. The Pt nanowires grown are in the size of 3 nm(diameter) x 10 nm(length) by high solution TEM image. The novel catalyst layer was characterized by cyclic voltammetry(CV) and scanning electron microscope(SEM) as compared with commercial Pt/C black and Pt catalyst layer obtained from sputtering. The results showed that the platinum nanoparticles deposited on the carbon powder were highly utilized as they directly faced the gas diffusion layer and offered easy access to reactants(oxygen or hydrogen). | Sheng Sui Xiaolong Zhuo Kaihua Su Xianyong Yao Junliang Zhang Shangfeng Du Kevin Kendall | 2013 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2013,22,3: | 2

Quantifying quantum coherence of optical cat states显示文摘The optical cat state plays an essential role in quantum computation and quantum metrology. Here, we experimentally quantify quantum coherence of an optical cat state by means of relative entropy and the l1 norm of coherence in a Fock basis based on the prepared optical cat state at the rubidium D1 line. By transmitting the optical cat state through a lossy channel, we also demonstrate the robustness of quantum coherence of the optical cat state in the presence of loss, which is different from the decoherence properties of fidelity and Wigner function negativity of the optical cat state. Our results confirm that quantum coherence of optical cat states is robust against loss and pave the way for the application of optical cat states. | MIAO ZHANG HAIJUN KANG MEIHONG WANG FENGYI XU XIAOLONG SU KUNCHI PENG | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,5: | 2
The influence of target material and thickness on proton energy and angular distribution显示文摘The paper has studied the influence of target material and thickness on energy and angular distributions of the protons generated by using an 800 nm,60 fs,0.24 J laser pulse to irradiate solid target foils. The results show that the initial density and thickness of the targets will affect the formation of the acceleration sheath fields in the target normal direction. For the same target thickness, using lower density target materials can obtain a higher proton maximum energy. However, lower density targets tend to be deformed due to the shock waves launched by the laser pulses, making the proton spatial distribution more divergent. | SU LuNing LIU BiCheng LIN XiaoXuan LIU Feng DU Fei LIU XiaoLong ZHENG Yi GE XuLei LI YuTong SHENG ZhengMing CHEN LiMing WANG WeiMin MA JingLong LU Xin WEI ZhiYi CHEN JiaEr ZHANG Jie | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,2: | 1
Deterministic distribution of orbital angular momentum multiplexed continuous-variable entanglement and quantum steering显示文摘Orbital angular momentum(OAM)multiplexing provides an efficient method to improve data-carrying capacity in various quantum communication protocols. It is a precondition to distribute OAM multiplexed quantum resources in quantum channels for implementing quantum communication. However, quantum steering of OAM multiplexed optical fields and the effect of channel noise on OAM multiplexed quantum resources remain unclear. Here,we generate OAM multiplexed continuous-variable(CV)entangled states and distribute them in lossy or noisy channels. We show that the decoherence property of entanglement and quantum steering of the OAM multiplexed states carrying topological charges l=1 and l=2 are the same as that of the Gaussian mode with l=0 in lossy and noisy channels. The sudden death of entanglement and quantum steering of high-order OAM multiplexed states is observed in the presence of excess noise. Our results demonstrate the feasibility to realize high data-carrying capacity quantum information processing by utilizing OAM multiplexed CV entangled states. | Li Zeng Rong Ma Hong Wen Meihong Wang Jun Liu Zhongzhong Qin Xiaolong Su | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,3: | 1
