1Treatment and outcomes of 1041 pediatric patients with neuroblastoma who received multidisciplinary care in China显示文摘Importance:Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial malignant solid tumor in children.Multidisciplinary care is critical to improving the survival of pediatric patients with neuroblastoma.Objective:To systematically summarize the clinical characteristics of children with neuroblastoma and evaluate their prognosis with multidisciplinary care provided in a single center.Methods:This retrospective study analyzed the clinical data of 1041 patients with neuroblastoma who were diagnosed,treated,and followed-up in the Hematology-Oncology Center of Beijing Children’s Hospital from 2007 to 2019.Results:The median age at diagnosis was 34 months;80.8%of the patients were younger than 5 years of age.Notably,243 patients(23.3%)were classified as low-risk,249 patients(23.9%)were classified as intermediate-risk,and 549(52.7%)were classified as high-risk.Furthermore,956 patients underwent surgical resections;986(94.7%)patients received chemotherapy;and 176 patients with high-risk neuroblastoma received hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.The 5-year event-free survival(EFS)rate was 91.3%and 5-year overall survival(OS)rate was 97.5%in low-risk group;in the intermediate-risk group,these rates were 85.1%and 96.7%,respectively,while they were 37.7%and 48.9%in the high-risk group(P<0.001 for both).The 5-year EFS and OS rates were significantly higher in patients diagnosed between 2015 and 2019 than in patients diagnosed between 2007 and 2014(P<0.001).In total,278 patients(26.7%)exhibited tumor relapse or progression;the median interval until relapse or progression was 14 months.Of the 233 patients who died,83%died of relapse or progression of neuroblastoma and 4.3%died of therapy-related complications.Interpretation:The 5-year OS rate was low in high-risk patients,compared with low-and intermediate-risk patients.Multidisciplinary care is critical for improvement of survival in pediatric patients with neuroblastoma.Additional treatment strategies should be sought to improve the prognosis of patients with high-risk neuroblastoma.Yan Su Hong Qin Chenghao Chen Shengcai Wang Shihan Zhang Dawei Zhang Mei Jin Yun Peng Lejian He Xiaoman Wang Suyun Qian Maoquan Qin Ming Ge Fuquan Zhang Qi Zeng Huanmin Wang Xiaoli Ma Xin Ni 2020Pediatric Investigation2020,4,3:16

4General structure design and field experiment of pneumatic rice direct-seeder显示文摘In order to meet the requirement of field direct seeding for super hybrid rice:1-3 seeds per hill,a pneumatic rice direct-seeder with six seeding metering devices was designed.Transmission system of pneumatic rice direct-seeder and seed metering device were analyzed in this study.And the pipeline structure and vortex pump were designed and selected.The pressure distribution of the pipeline was tested.The pressure value of each sub-pipeline under the conditions of different main pipeline pressure value was obtained and the reasons for pressure loss were analyzed.The results showed that the variation coefficient between sub-pipelines was less than 5%.The pipeline pressure could be evenly distributed.Further,the field experiments were carried out on super hybrid rice Peizataifeng using two-factor testing,by which the effects of different negative pressure and different forward speed(namely,rotational speed of suction plate)for seeding precision were studied.It found that:(1)the optimal negative pressure was 2 kPa;(2)under the optimal negative pressure,the probabilities of 1-3 seeds per hill for the direct-seeder were 93.41%,95.47%and 97.50%,respectively,when the forward speed of the direct-seeded was high,medium and low speed;(3)the probability of empty hole was less than 2%,which satisfied the field direct seeding requirements of super hybrid rice.Additionally,hill spacing was measured,and the factors affecting the hill spacing were analyzed.The results showed that the fluctuation of hill spacing in the small range will not affect the seeding effect.In this study,a new type of pneumatic rice direct-seeder was designed.The main working components were tested and analyzed.The best parameters of field work were obtained.It provides the basis for the field application of the pneumatic rice precision seeder.Xing He Wang Zaiman Luo Xiwen Cao Xiaoman Liu Chunbo Zang Ying 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,6:10

6Effect of TiO_2 on Crystallization of the Glass Ceramics Prepared from Granite Tailings显示文摘The effect of TiO2 on the crystallization behaviors of the glass ceramics prepared from granite tailings was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), X-ray diffraction(XRD), and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM). The results showed that the crystallization peak temperature decreased firstly, and then increased with the increase of TiO2 content. The optimum addition amount of TiO2 was 8 wt%. With a single-step heat treatment at 924 ℃ for 1 h, augite precipitated as the only crystalline phase both on the surface and in the interior. The avrami parameter of the sample was 3.25, suggesting a twodimensional crystallization mechanism. 7Two VOZ transcription factors link an E3 ligase and an NLR immune receptor to modulate immunity in rice显示文摘Nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat(NLR)proteins play critical roles in plant immunity.However,how NLRs are regulated and activate defense signaling is not fully understood.The rice(Oryza sativa)NLR receptor Piz-t confers broad-spectrum resistance to the fungal pathogen Magnaporthe oryzae and the RING-type E3 ligase AVRPIZ-T INTERACTING PROTEIN 10(APIP10)negatively regulates Piz-t accumulation.In this study,we found that APIP10 interacts with two rice transcription factors,VASCULAR PLANT ONEZINC FINGER 1(OsVOZ1)and OsVOZ2,and promotes their degradation through the 26S proteasome pathway.OsVOZ1 displays transcriptional repression activity while OsVOZ2 confers transcriptional activation activity in planta.The osvoz1 and osvoz2 single mutants display modest but opposite M.oryzae resistance in the non-Piz-t background.However,the osvoz1 osvoz2 double mutant exhibits strong dwarfism and cell death,and silencing of both genes via RNA interference also leads to dwarfism,mild cell death,and enhanced resistance to M.oryzae in the non-Piz-t background.Both OsVOZ1 and OsVOZ2 interact with Piz-t.Double silencing of OsVOZ1 and OsVOZ2 in the Piz-t background decreases Piz-t protein accumulation and transcription,reactive oxygen species-dependent cell death,and resistance to M.oryzae containing AvrPiz-t.Taken together,these results indicate that OsVOZ1 and OsVOZ2 negatively regulate basal defense but contribute positively to Piz-t-mediated immunity.Jiyang Wang Ruyi Wang Hong Fang Chongyang Zhang Fan Zhang Zeyun Hao Xiaoman You Xuetao Shi Chan Ho Park Kangyu Hua Feng He Maria Bellizzi Kieu Thi Xuan Vo Jong-Seong Jeon Yuese Ning Guo-Liang Wang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,2:8
8CuFe2O4@GO nanocomposite as an effective and recoverable catalyst of peroxymonosulfate activation for degradation of aqueous dye pollutants显示文摘Recently,heterogeneous activation of peroxymonosulfate(PMS) to oxidatively degrade organic pollutants has been a hotspot.In the present work,copper ferrite-graphite oxide hybrid(CuFe2 O4@GO)was prepared and used as catalyst to activate PMS for degradation of methylene blue(MB) in aqueous solution.A high degradation efficiency(93.3%) was achieved at the experimental conditions of20 mg/L MB,200 mg/L CuFe2 O4@GO,0.8 mmol/L PMS,and 25℃temperature.Moreover,CuFe2 O4@GO showed an excellent reusability and stability.The effects of various operational parameters including pollutant type,solution pH,catalyst dosage,PMS dosage,pollutant concentration,temperature,natural organic matter(NOM),and inorganic anions on the catalytic degradation process were comprehensively investigated and elucidated.The further mechanistic study revealed the Cu(Ⅱ)/Cu(Ⅰ) redox couple on CuFe2 O4@GO played the dominant role in PMS activation,where both hydroxyl and sulfate radicals were generated and proceeded the degradation of pollutants.In general,CuFe2 O4@GO is a promising heterocatalyst for PMS-based advanced oxidation processes(AOPs) in wastewater treatment.Xiaoman Lei Menghan You Fei Pan Min Liu Peng Yang Dongsheng Xia Qiang Li Yanting Wang Jie Fu 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:8
9A Kinetic Spectrophotometric Method for the Determination of Iron (Ⅲ) in Water Samples显示文摘A new kinetic spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of iron (III). The method is based on the catalytic effect of iron (III) on the oxidation of weak acid brilliant blue dye (RAWL) by KIO4 in acid medium. The advantages of the proposed method are that it is sensitive, accurate, rapid, inexpensive, can be operated under room temperature and has a large determination concentration range compared to other techniques. The obtained optimum conditions are: pH 3.15, RAWL (200 mgL-1) 5.00 mL, Potassium periodate solution (0.01 molL-1) 0.30 mL, phenanthroline (0.02 molL-1) 1.00 mL, reaction temperature 25℃ and reaction time 7 min. With this method iron could quantitively be determined in the range 0.00?0.02 mgL-1, the detection limit being 4.10×10-10 g mL-1. The relative standard deviations (RSD) in five replicate determinations for 3 μgL-1and 5 μgL-1 iron (III) are 3.1% and 1.9%, respectively. 10Adsorption behaviors of Cd^(2+) on Fe_2O_3/MnO_2 and the effects of coexisting ions under alkaline conditions显示文摘This study describes the adsorption features of cadmium on Fe2O3 and MnO2 in alkaline saline conditions. The adsorption reached equilibrium in 6 hours under alkaline conditions. The absorption of cadmium on Fe2O3 and MnO2 was consistent with Freundlich absorption isotherms, and the corresponding adsorption capacities were 16.3 and 16.7 mg·g-1, respectively. Moreover, the adsorption quantity of cadmium on Fe2O3 and MnO2 rose with increas-ing pH from acidic to neutral, and reached the maximum at pH= 9. The coexisting chlorides reduced the adsorption capacity of Fe2O3 and MnO2. The influence intensities of different cations follow the order of CaCl2>>KCl>NaCl. However, the influence of sodium salts on the capacities of Fe2O3 and MnO2 to adsorb cadmium appeared more complicated: the relatively low concentrations of sodium salts could reduce the adsorption capacity; with increasing concentrations of sodium salts, e.g. NaCl and NaNO3. the adsorption capacity decreased continually. 11Progress on design and related R&D activities for the water-cooled breeder blanket for CFETR显示文摘The water-cooled ceramic breeder (WCCB) blanket is one of the blanket candidates for Chinese fusion engineering testing reactor (CFETR) and is being developed at the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP). This paper reviews design and evolution of the WCCB blanket for CFETR, and presents a new WCCB blanket design according to the latest CFETR core parameters (major and minor radii are R = 7.2 m and a = 2.2 m, respectively) and missions. This new design is expected to satisfy multiple CFETR operation modes of 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 GW fusion power and achieve tritium self-sufficiency. The feasibility of the updated blanket design is evaluated from the aspects of neutronics and thermo-hydraulics. 13Ultrasonic Extraction of Polysaccharides from Laminaria japonica and Their Antioxidative and Glycosidase Inhibitory Activities显示文摘In the present study, ultrasonic extraction technique(UET) is used to improve the yield of polysaccharides from Laminaria japonica(LJPs). And their antioxidative as well as glycosidase inhibitory activities are investigated. Box-Behnken design(BBD) combined with response surface methodology(RSM) is applied to optimize ultrasonic extraction for polysaccharides. The optimized conditions are obtained as extraction time at 54 min, ultrasonic power at 1050 W, extraction temperature at 80℃ and ratio of material to solvent at 1:50(g m L-1). Under these optimal ultrasonic extraction conditions, an actual experimental yield(5.75% ± 0.3%) is close to the predicted result(5.67%) with no significant difference(P > 0.05). Vitro antioxidative and glycosidase inhibitory activities tests indicate that the crude polysaccharides(LJP) and two major ethanol precipitated fractions(LJP1 and LJP2) are in a concentration-dependent manner. LJP2(30%-60% ethanol precipitated polysaccharides) possesses the strongest α-glucosidase inhibitory activity and moderate scavenging activity against hydroxyl radicals(66.09% ± 2.19%, 3.0 mg m L-1). Also, the inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase(59.08% ± 3.79%, 5.0 mg m L-1) is close to that of acarbose(63.99% ± 3.27%, 5.0 mg m L-1). LJP1(30% ethanol precipitated polysaccharides) exhibits the strongest scavenging activity against hydroxyl radicals(99.80% ± 0.00%, 3.0 mgm L-1) and moderate α-glucosidase inhibitory activity(47.76% ± 1.92%, 5.0 mg m L-1). LJP shows the most remarkable DPPH scavenging activity(66.20% ± 0.11%, 5.0 mg m L-1) but weakest α-glucosidase inhibitory activity(37.77% ± 1.30%, 5.0 mg m L-1). However, all these LJPs exert weak inhibitory effects against α-amylase. These results show that UET is an effective method for extracting bioactive polysaccharides from seaweed materials. LJP1 and LJP2 can be developed as a potential ingredient in hypoglycemic agents or functional food for the management of diabetes. 14Monte Carlo simulation fused with target distribution modeling via deep reinforcement learning for automatic high-efficiency photon distribution estimation显示文摘Particle distribution estimation is an important issue in medical diagnosis. In particular, photon scattering in some medical devices extremely degrades image quality and causes measurement inaccuracy. The Monte Carlo(MC) algorithm is regarded as the most accurate particle estimation approach but is still time-consuming, even with graphic processing unit(GPU) acceleration. The goal of this work is to develop an automatic scatter estimation framework for high-efficiency photon distribution estimation. Specifically, a GPU-based MC simulation initially yields a raw scatter signal with a low photon number to hasten scatter generation. In the proposed method, assume that the scatter signal follows Poisson distribution, where an optimization objective function fused with sparse feature penalty is modeled. Then, an over-relaxation algorithm is deduced mathematically to solve this objective function. For optimizing the parameters in the over-relaxation algorithm, the deep Q-network in the deep reinforcement learning scheme is built to intelligently interact with the over-relaxation algorithm to accurately and rapidly estimate a scatter signal with the large range of photon numbers.Experimental results demonstrated that our proposed framework can achieve superior performance with structural similarity >0.94, peak signal-to-noise ratio >26.55 d B, and relative absolute error <5.62%, and the lowest computation time for one scatter image generation can be within 2 s.Jianhui Ma Zun Piao Shuang Huang Xiaoman Duan Genggeng Qin Linghong Zhou Yuan Xu 2021Photonics Research2021,9,3:5
15Vanillin and its derivatives,potential promising antifungal agents,inhibit Aspergillus flavus spores via destroying the integrity of cell membrane rather than cell wall显示文摘To study the structure-antifungal activity of vanillin against Aspergillus flavus(A.flavus),the susceptibilities of A.flavus to vanillin and its isomers(o-vanillin,2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde(HMB),2-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde)and the possible antifungal mechanisms have been investigated.All the four volatile aldehydes could inhibit the germination of spores,and the minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs)of them were in this order:vanillin(200μg/mL),o-vanillin(100μg/mL),2-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde(100μg/mL),HMB(70μg/mL).The minimum fungicidal concentrations(MFCs)of them were in this order:vanillin(240μg/mL),o-vanillin(160μg/mL),HMB(140μg/mL),2-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde(140μg/mL).Spore size was arrested at 0 h with the treatment of the four volatile aldehydes.Effects of the four volatile aldehydes on the cell wall and cell membrane integrity of A flavus were observed by calcofluor white(CW)staining and propidium iodide(PI)staining.The results showed that HMB exerted the strongest antifungal and fungicidal effects on the growth of A.flavus.The four volatile aldehydes had little influence on cell wall integrity after 3-hour treatment,however,they could strongly damage the cell membrane integrity.All the four volatile aldehydes could effectively prevent the growth of A.flavus on peanut seeds.The antifungal mechanisms of the four volatile aldehydes provide theoretical foundations for their development of new antifungal agents.Qian Li Xiaoman Zhu 2021Grain & Oil Science and Technology2021,4,2:5
16Facile preparation of low swelling,high strength,self-healing and pH-responsive hydrogels based on the triple-network structure显示文摘A polyacrylic acid(PAA)/gelatin(Gela)/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)hydrogel was prepared by copolymerization,cooling,and freezing/thawing methods.This triplenetwork(TN)structure hydrogel displayed superior mechanical properties,low swelling ratio and self-healing properties,The superior mechanical properties are attributed to the triple helix association of Gela and PVA crystallites by reversible hydrogen bonding.The characterization results indicated that the fracture stress and the strain were 808 kPa and 370% respectively,while the compression strength could reach 4443 kPa and the compressive modulus was up to 39 MPa under the deformation of 90%.The hydrogen bonding in PVA contributed to maintain and improve the self-healing ability of hydrogels.Every type of hydrogels exhibited a higher swelling ratio under alkaline conditions,and the swelling ratios of PAA,PAA/PVA and PAA/Gela hydrogels were 27.71,12.30 and 9.09,respectively.The PAA/Gela/PVA TN hydrogel showed the lowest swelling ratio(6.57)among these hydrogels.These results indicate that the novel TN hydrogels possess good environmental adaptability and have potential applications in the biomedical engineering and sensor field.Zhicun WANG Xiaoman HAN Yixi WANG Kenan MEN Lin CUI Jianning WU Guihua MENG Zhiyong LIU Xuhong GUO 2019Frontiers of Materials Science2019,13,1:4
17Characterization of four hemocyanin isoforms in Litopenaeus vannamei显示文摘In this study, the gene encoding hemocyanin subunit L, Lv Hc L, was cloned from Litopenaeus vannamei and the genomic organization was characterized. This gene was diverse with many SNPs and also had at least four isoforms, while one of them(Lv Hc L4) only had two exons and the exon2 was missed. Transcription analysis showed that these isoforms of Lv Hc L were up-regulated after WSSV challenge in WSSV-resistant shrimp, while the transcriptions were decreased constantly in WSSV-susceptible shrimp. It is suggested that the hemocyanin had rich polymorphism and was involved in the antiviral response. 18Study of Krypton Laser-Induced Choroidal Neovascularization in a Guinea Pig Model of High Anisometropia显示文摘Purpose:To investigate the association between high anisometropia and the area of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) induced by krypton laser in guinea pigs and better understand the pathogenesis and prevention of myopic CNV. Methods:.Nine 3-week old male guinea pigs with anisometropia > 6.00D were randomly assigned to three groups according to examination date after laser photocoagulation (7d, 14d and 28d). All animals underwent refraction. The eye with higher myopia was used as the experimental eye, and the other as the control eye..All eyes received repeated multi-wavelength krypton laser photocoagulation treatments (wavelength: 532 nm; laser power: 400 mW; spot diameter: 50 μm; exposure time: 0.1s). Fundus photography and indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) were performed. Afterwards, the animals were sacrificed immediately,.and the eyes were enucleated and processed for histopathologic examination and flat mounts. Results: CNV appeared at 7d after laser treatment. The area of CNV peaked at 14d, and decrease in area and the presence of scarring was noted at 28 d..CNV was present in 66.7% of eyes by ICGA at 14 d..CNV could be observed under light microscopy at all three time points..At 14 d,.flat mount showed the neovascular plexus around the lesion. Semi-quantitative analysis revealed that the area of CNV in treated eyes was greater than that of control eyes. 19Biosynthesis of selenosubtilisin: A novel way to target selenium into the active site of subtilisin显示文摘Glutathione peroxidase (GPx, EC1.11.1.9), an important anti-oxidative selenoenzyme, can catalyze the reduction of harmful hydroperoxides with concomitant glutathione, thereby protecting cells and other biological issues against oxidative damage. It captures considerable interest in redesign of its function for either the mechanism study or the pharmacological development as an antioxidant. In order to de- velop a general strategy for specifically targeting and operating selenium in active sites of enzymes, the catalytically essential residue selenocysteine (Sec) was first successfully bioincorporated into the catalytic center of subtilisin by using an auxotrophic expression system. The studies of the catalytic activity and the steady-state kinetics demonstrated that selenosubtilisin is an excellent GPx-like bio- catalyst. In comparison with the chemically modified method, biosynthesis exhibits obvious advan- tages: Sec could be site-directly incorporated into active sites of enzymes to overcome the non-speci- ficity generated by chemical modification. 20OsPKpa_1 encodes a plastidic pyruvate kinase that affects starch biosynthesis in the rice endosperm显示文摘Pyruvate kinase(PK) is a key enzyme in glycolysis and carbon metabolism. Here, we isolated a rice(Oryza sativa) mutant, w59, with a white-core floury endosperm. Map-based cloning of w59 identified a mutation in OsPKpa_1, which encodes a plastidic isoform of PK(PKp). OsPKpa_1 localizes to the amyloplast stroma in the developing endosperm, and the mutation of OsPKpa_1 in w59 decreases the plastidic PK activity, resulting in dramatic changes to the lipid biosynthesis in seeds. The w59 grains were also characterized by a marked decrease in starch content. Consistent with a decrease in number and size of the w59 amyloplasts, large empty spaces were observed in the central region of the w59 endosperm, atthe early grain-filling stage. Moreover, a phylogenetic analysis revealed four potential rice isoforms of OsPKp. We validated the in vitro PK activity of these OsPKps through reconstituting active PKp complexes derived from inactive individual OsPKps, revealing the heteromeric structure of rice PKps, which was further confirmed using a protein–protein interaction analysis.
