1The M_S7.1 Yushu earthquake surface rupture and large historical earthquakes on the Garzê-Yushu Fault显示文摘As revealed by field investigations,the co-seismic surface rupture zone of the 2010 MS7.1 Yushu earthquake,Qinghai is a characteristic sinistral strike-slip feature consisting of three distinct sinistral primary ruptures,with an overall strike of 310°-320° and a total length of 31 km.In addition,an approximately 2-km-long en-echelon tensile fissure zone was found east of Longbao Town;if this site is taken as the north end of the rupture zone,then the rupture had a total length of ~51 km.The surface rupture zone is composed of a series of fissures arranged in an en-echelon or alternating relationship between compressive bulges and tensile fissures,with a measured maximum horizontal displacement of 1.8 m.The surface rupture zone extends along the mapped Garzê-Yushu Fault,which implicates it as the seismogenic fault for this earthquake.Historically,a few earthquakes with a magnitude of about 7 have occurred along the fault,and additionally traces of paleoearthquakes are evident that characterize the short-period recurrence interval of large earthquakes here.Similar to the seismogenic process of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake,the Yushu earthquake is also due to the stress accumulation and release on the block boundaries resulting from the eastward expansion of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.However,in contrast with the Wenchuan earthquake,the Yushu earthquake had a sinistral strike-slip mechanism resulting from the uneven eastward extrusion of the Baryan Har and Sichuan-Yunnan fault blocks.CHEN LiChun WANG Hu RAN YongKang SUN XinZhe SU GuiWu WANG Ji TAN XiBin LI ZhiMin ZHANG XiaoQing 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,31:17

3Personalized neoantigen pulsed dendritic cell vaccine for advanced lung cancer显示文摘Neoantigens are considered to be ultimate target of tumor immunotherapy due to their high tumor specificity and immunogenicity.Dendritic cell(DCs)vaccines based on neoantigens have exciting effects in treatment of some malignant tumors and are a promising therapeutic modality.Lung cancer is a lethal disease with the highest morbidity and mortality rate in the world.Despite the rapid development of targeted therapy and immune checkpoint inhibitors for lung cancer in recent years,their efficacy is still unsatisfactory overall.Therefore,there is an urgent unmet clinical need for lung cancer treatment.Here,we attempted to treat lung cancer using a personalized neoantigen peptide-pulsed autologous DC vaccine and conducted a single-arm,2 medical centers,pilot study initiated by the investigator(ChiCTR-ONC 16009100,NCT02956551).The patients enrolled were patients with heavily treated metastatic lung cancer.Candidate neoantigens were derived from whole-exome sequencing and RNA sequencing of fresh biopsy tissues as well as bioinformatics analysis.A total of 12 patients were enrolled in this study.A total of 85 vaccine treatments were administered with a median value of 5 doses/person(range:3-14 doses/person).In total,12-30 peptide-based neoantigens were selected for each patient.AIl treatment-related adverse events were grade 1-2 and there were no delays in dosing due to toxic effects.The objective effectiveness rate was 25%;the disease control rate was 75%;the median progression-free survival was 5.5 months and the median overall survival was 7.9 months.This study provides new evidence for neoantigen vaccine therapy and new therapeutic opportunities for lung cancer treatment.Zhenyu Ding Qing Li Rui Zhang Li Xie Yang shu Song Gao Peipei Wang Xiaoqing Su Yun Qin Yuelan Wang Juemin Fang Zhongzheng Zhu Xuyang Xia Guochao Wei Hui Wang Hong Qian Xianling Guo Zhibo Gao Yu Wang Yuquan Wei Qing Xu Heng Xu Li Yang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,2:3

5EjBZR1 represses fruit enlargement by binding to the EjCYP90 promoter in loquat显示文摘Loquat(Eriobotrya japonica)is a subtropical tree that bears fruit that ripens during late spring.Fruit size is one of the dominant factors inhibiting the large-scale production of this fruit crop.To date,little is known about fruit size regulation.In this study,we first discovered that cell size is more important to fruit size than cell number in loquat and that the expression of the EjBZR1 gene is negatively correlated with cell and fruit size.Virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS)of EjBZR1 led to larger cells and fruits in loquat,while its overexpression reduced cell and plant size in Arabidopsis.Moreover,both the suppression and overexpression of EjBZR1 inhibited the expression of brassinosteroid(BR)biosynthesis genes,especially that of EjCYP90A.Further experiments indicated that EjCYP90A,a cytochrome P450 gene,is a fruit growth activator,while EjBZR1 binds to the BRRE(CGTGTG)motif of the EjCYP90A promoter to repress its expression and fruit cell enlargement.Overall,our results demonstrate a possible pathway by which EjBZR1 directly targets EjCYP90A and thereby affects BR biosynthesis,which influences cell expansion and,consequently,fruit size.These findings help to elucidate the molecular functions of BZR1 in fruit growth and thus highlight a useful genetic improvement that can lead to increased crop yields by repressing gene expression.Wenbing Su Zikun Shao Man Wang Xiaoqing Gan Xianghui Yang Shunquan Lin 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2
6Analytical optimization on GNSS buoy array for underwater positioning显示文摘Global navigation satellite system(GNSS)/acoustic positioning precision is determined by the positioning geometry and the ranging precision;thus optimizing GNSS buoys array is meaningful to improve the positioning accuracy and reliability.An analytical method is proposed for optimizing the GNSS buoys array with regard to the cutoff angle constraints for underwater acoustic observations.For the practical limitation of coplanarity of GNSS buoys and the cutoff angle,an algorithm is proposed to analytically minimize the position dilution of precision(PDOP).The proposed method is validated to give complete solutions of PDOP minimization with five GNSS buoys.At last,in order to search a best configuration among the PDOP solution set,we propose a search algorithm to get the solution with the smallest geometric dilution of precision(GDOP).It indicates that within a given region,the GDOP minimization at the center of a region is equivalent to the PDOP mean minimization over the region.The relation between the positioning accuracy and the positioning geometry with five known points is illustrated in an experiment performed in South China Sea.Ke Qi Guoqing Qu Shuqiang Xue Tianhe Xu Xiaoqing Su Yixu Liu Jun Wan 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,7:2

11Non-growing season soil CO_2 efflux and its changes in an alpine meadow ecosystem of the Qilian Mountains,Northwest China显示文摘Most soil respiration measurements are conducted during the growing season.In tundra and boreal forest ecosystems,cumulative,non-growing season soil CO2 fluxes are reported to be a significant component of these systems' annual carbon budgets.However,little information exists on soil CO2 efflux during the non-growing season from alpine ecosystems.Therefore,comparing measurements of soil respiration taken annually versus during the growing season will improve the accuracy of estimating ecosystem carbon budgets,as well as predicting the response of soil CO2 efflux to climate changes.In this study,we measured soil CO2 efflux and its spatial and temporal changes for different altitudes during the non-growing season in an alpine meadow located in the Qilian Mountains,Northwest ChinaField experiments on the soil CO2 efflux of alpine meadow from the Qilian Mountains were conducted along an elevation gradient from October 2010 to April 2011.We measured the soil CO2 efflux,and analyzed the effects of soil water content and soil temperature on this measure.The results show that soil CO2 efflux gradually decreased along the elevation gradient during the non-growing season.The daily variation of soil CO2 efflux appeared as a single-peak curve.The soil CO2 efflux was low at night,with the lowest value occurring between 02:00-06:00.Then,values started to rise rapidly between 07:00-08:30,and then descend again between 16:00-18:30.The peak soil CO2 efflux appeared from 11:00 to 16:00.The soil CO2 efflux values gradually decreased from October to February of the next year and started to increase in March.Non-growing season Q10(the multiplier to the respiration rate for a 10℃ increase in temperature) was increased with raising altitude and average Q10 of the Qilian Mountains was generally higher than the average growing season Q10 of the Heihe River Basin.Seasonally,non-growing season soil CO2 efflux was relatively high in October and early spring and low in the winter.The soil CO2 efflux was positively correlated with soil temperature and soil water content.Our results indicate that in alpine ecosystems,soil CO2 efflux continues throughout the non-growing season,and soil respiration is an important component of annual soil CO2 efflux.ZongQiang CHANG XiaoQing LIU Qi FENG ZongXi CHE HaiYang XI YongHong SU JianHua SI 2013Journal of Arid Land2013,5,4:1
12A low-energy ion spectrometer with half-space entrance for three-axis stabilized spacecraft显示文摘A low-energy ion spectrometer(LEIS) for use aboard three-axis stabilized spacecraft has been developed to measure ion energy per charge distribution in three-dimensional space with good energy-, angular-and temporal-resolutions. For the standard top-hat electrostatic analyzer used widely in space plasma detection, three-axis stabilized spacecraft makes it difficult to obtain complete coverage of all possible ion arrival directions. We have designed angular scanning deflectors supplementing to a cylindrically symmetric top-hat electrostatic analyzer to provide a half-space field of view as 360°×90°(–45°–+45°), and fabricated the LEIS flight model for detecting magnetospheric ions in geosynchronous orbit. The performance of this payload has been evaluated in detail by a series of simulation and environmental tests, and the payload has also been calibrated through laboratory experiments using a low-energy ion source. 17Therapeutic effects of a novel BAFF blocker on arthritis显示文摘B-cell targeted therapy is effective for autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis(RA),although there are setbacks in RA clinical trials.In this study,we designed a novel B-cell activating factor(BAFF)antagonist:BAFF-Trap,a recombinant glycoprotein with BAFF-binding domains of two BAFF receptors(TACI and Br3)linked to Fc domain of human IgG1.Unlike TACI-Fc,BAFF-Trap bound BAFF but not APRIL(a proliferation-inducing ligand),and significantly suppressed the development of collagen-induced arthritis and adjuvant-induced arthritis.Furthermore,BAFF-Trap inhibited proinflammatory cytokine expression,ameliorated joint damage and suppressed B-and T-cell activation.BAFF-Trap reduced dendritic cells in joints,and increased regulatory T cell,regulatory B-cell,and M2 macrophage.The function of BAFF-Trap was related to inhibition of canonical and noncanonical NF-κB activation.Thus,BAFF-Trap may be a valuable agent for the effective treatment of RA.Bailing Zhou Hailong Zhang Xiaoqing Su Yi Luo Xiaopeng Li Chaoheng Yu Qibing Xie Xuyang Xia Gu He Li Yang 2019Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2019,4,1:1
18Biochar pyrolyzed at low temperature enhanced acidophilous plant growth by promoting rhizospheric microbes in a slightly alkaline urban soil显示文摘Biochar has been considered as a potential way to enhance acidophilous plant growth in alkaline soils.However,whether such enhancements are closely linked with biochar pyrolysis temperature and its improvements in rhizospheric soil fertility and microbial activities remains largely unknown.We performed a pot experiment to investigate changes in azalea(Rhodo-dendron)morphology and physiology,as well as its rhizosphere soil chemical and biological properties in a slightly alkaline urban soil under the amendment of biochars that pyrolyzed at three temperatures(i.e.,350,550 and 700°C).Our results showed that the effects of biochars on plant growth and soil properties depended on pyrolysis temperature.In comparison with the non-amended control,350 and 550°C biochars showed significant promotions on the azalea growth in terms of photosynthetic characteristics,biomass,root morphology,and N and P uptake.Whereas,700°C biochar showed an inhibi-tion effect on them.350°C biochar decreased soil pH and increased soil available P and K contents and the activities ofα-glucosidase,N-β-glucosaminidase,phosphatase and sulfatase.In addition,350°C biochar significantly enhanced bacterial 16S rRNA and fungal 18S rRNA gene abundances in the rhizosphere soil of azalea and mycorrhizal infection.Correlation analysis indicated that soil pH,available nutrients and fungal abundance had positive associations with the enhanced plant growth parameters.Therefore,our findings suggest that biochar produced at low temperature could be a feasible strategy for enhancing acidophilous azalea growth and improving urban soil quality.Huimin Zhou Xiaoying Li Chang Li Lisi He Xiaoqing Liu Zheng Xiao Xiaobo Sun Gaoling Shi Jiale Su Junhui Chen 2021Biochar2021,3,4:1
