1Level of circulating PD-L1 expression in patients with advanced gastric cancer and its clinical implications显示文摘Objective:The programmed cell death-1 receptor/programmed cell death-1 ligand(PD-1/PD-L1) pathway plays a crucial role in tumor evasion from host immunity.This study was designed to evaluate the association between circulating PD-L1 expression and prognosis in patients with advanced gastric cancer.Methods:Totally 80 advanced gastric cancer patients and 40 health controls from Beijing Cancer Hospital were enrolled in the present study.Circulating PD-L1 expression was tested by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The associations between the expression level of PD-L1 and clinicopathological features and prognosis were analyzed statistically.Results:Expression of PD-L1 in advanced gastric cancer patients was significantly up-regulated compared with health people(P=0.006).The expression of PD-L1 was significantly correlated with differentiation and lymph node metastasis(P=0.026 and P=0.041,respectively).Although we didn't find significant difference in all advanced gastric cancer patients with different PD-L1 expression,the adenocarcinoma patients with higher up-regulated PD-L1 expression had much better prognosis than low expression patients(65.6% vs.44.7%,P=0.028).Conclusions:PD-L1 was elevated in advance gastric cancer patients and may play an important role in tumor immune evasion and patients prognosis.Zhixue Zheng Zhaode Bu Xijuan Liu Lianhai Zhang Ziyu Li Aiwen Wu Xiaojiang Wu Xiaojing Cheng Xiaofang Xing Hong Du Xiaohong Wang Ying Hu Jiafu Ji 2014Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,1:37
2Water regime-nitrogen fertilizer incorporation interaction:Field study on methane and nitrous oxide emissions from a rice agroecosystem in Harbin, China显示文摘Water regime and nitrogen(N) fertilizer are two important factors impacting greenhouse gases(GHG) emission from paddy field, whereas their effects have not been well studied in cold region. In this study, we conducted a two-year field experiment to study the impacts of water regime and N fertilizer on rice yields and GHG emissions in Harbin, China, a cold region located in high latitudes. Our results showed that intermittent irrigation significantly decreased methane(CH_4) emission compared with continuous flooding, however,the decrement was far lower than the global average level. The N_2O emissions were very small when flooded but peaked at the beginning of the disappearance of floodwater. The N fertilizer treatments increased CH_4 emissions at low level(75 kg N/ha). But both CH_4 and N_2O emissions were uninfluenced at the levels of 150 kg N/ha and 225 kg N/ha. Rice yields increased under intermittent irrigation and were highest at the level of 150 kg N/ha. 3Generation of GGTA1 biallelic knockout pigs via zinc-finger nucleases and somatic cell nuclear transfer显示文摘Genetically modified pigs are valuable models of human disease and donors of xenotransplanted organs.Conventional gene targeting in pig somatic cells is extremely inefficient.Zinc-finger nuclease(ZFN)technology has been shown to be a powerful tool for efficiently inducing mutations in the genome.However,ZFN-mediated targeting in pigs has rarely been achieved.Here,we used ZFNs to knock out the porcineα-1,3-galactosyl-transferase(GGTA1)gene,which generates Gal epitopes that trigger hyperacute immune rejection in pig-to-human transplantation.Primary pig fibroblasts were transfected with ZFNs targeting the coding region of GGTA1.Eighteen mono-allelic and four biallelic knockout cell clones were obtained after drug selection with efficiencies of 23.4%and 5.2%,respectively.The biallelic cells were used to produce cloned pigs via somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT).Three GGTA1 null piglets were born,and one knockout primary fibroblast cell line was established from a cloned fetus.Gal epitopes on GGTA1 null pig cells were completely eliminated from the cell membrane.Functionally,GGTA1 knockout cells were protected from complement-mediated immune attacks when incubated with human serum.This study demonstrated that ZFN is an efficient tool in creating gene-modified pigs.GGTA1 null pigs and GGTA1 null fetal fibroblasts would benefit research and pig-to-human transplantation.BAO Lei CHEN HaiDe JONG UiMyong RIM CholHo LI WenLing LIN XiJuan ZHANG Dan LUO Qiong CUI Chun HUANG HeFeng ZHANG Yan XIAO Lei FU ZhiXin 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,2:9
4Preparation of La2O3 by ion-exchange membrane electrolysis of LaCl3 aqueous solution显示文摘The ion-exchange membrane electrolysis technology was applied inventively in the preparation of lanthanum hydroxide,after calcination,lanthanum oxide was obtained eventually.The effect of the concentration of lanthanum chlo ride solution on electrolytic product was mainly investigated.The phase composition,micro morphology,particle size and chlorine content of the product were characterized,respectively.Under the conditions of this work,the product that forms by electrolysis of LaCl3 aqueous solution directly is La(OH)3.When the initial concentration of LaCl3 changes from 0.1 to 0.5 mol/L,the current efficiency of La(OH)3 increases from 60%to 85%,the product roasted at 800℃for 1.5 h is La2O3,whose median particle size(D50)is 10-20μm,the mass fraction of chloride ion is less than 0.02 wt%.Additio nally,the prepared La2O3 particles are porous and non-spherical particle s,which are composed of small crystals with sheet structure.Deliang Meng Qiuyue Zhao Xijuan Pan Ting’an Zhang 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,9:3

6High-performance magnesium ion asymmetric Ppy@FeOOH//Mn3O4 micro-supercapacitor显示文摘Micro-supercapacitors(MSCs)are attractive electrochemical energy storage devices owing to their high power density and extended cycling stability.However,relatively low areal energy density still hinders their practical applications.Here,an asymmetric Mg ion MSC with promising high energy density is fabricated.Firstly,indium tin oxide(ITO)NWs were synthesized by chemical vapor deposition as the excellent current collector.Subsequently,nanostructured Mn_(3)O_(4)and Ppy@FeOOH were deposited on the laser-engraved interdigital structure ITO NWs electrodes as the positive and negative electrodes,respectively.Beneficial from the hierarchical micro-nano structures of active materials,high conductive electron transport pathways,and charge-balanced asymmetric electrodes,the obtained MSC possesses a high potential window of 2.2 V and a high areal capacitance of 107.3 mF cm^(-2)at 0.2 mA cm^(-2).The insitu XRD,VSM,and ex-situ XPS results reveal that the primary energy storage mechanism of Mg ions in negative FeOOH electrode is Mg ions de-/intercalation and phase transition reaction of FeOOH.Furthermore,the MSC exhibits a high specific energy density of 71.18μWh cm^(-2)at a power density of 0.22 mWh cm^(-2)and capacitance retention of 85%after 5000 cycles with unvaried Coulombic efficiency.These results suggest promising applications of our MSC in miniaturized energy storage devices.Xueliang Lv Yaxiong Zhang Xijuan Li Zhiye Fan Guo Liu Wenjian Zhang Jinyuan Zhou Erqing Xie Zhenxing Zhang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,9:1
7Proanthocyanidins extracted from grape seeds inhibit the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cells and induce apoptosis through the MAPK/AKT pathway显示文摘Proanthocyanidins naturally occur in various fruits,some vegetables and beverages.Increasing evidence has shown that dietary intake of proanthocyanidins is a promising alternative to tumor chemoprevention or chemotherapy.Grape seeds are the most abundant source of proanthocyanidins,and grape seed proanthocyanidins(GSPs)show an anticancer effect on hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),which accounts for approximately 85-90%of all primary liver malignancies.Although an increasing number of studies have investigated the effects of GSPs on HCC and the associated mechanisms,the precise mechanism of GSP therapy in HCC remains unclear.This study aimed to understand the cytotoxic effect of GSPs on HepG2 cells by investigating morphology and growth inhibition.Cell proliferation and apoptosis were estimated by an MTT assay and flow cytometry,and the protein expression of HepG2 cells was determined through Western blotting.The results indicated that GSPs could markedly inhibit HepG2 liver cancer cells and induce apoptosis,with the effects varying by dose and treatment time.Furthermore,GSPs inhibited the phosphorylation of extracellular regulated protein kinases(ERK),c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase(JNK),p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p38 MAPK),IκBα,pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 1(PDK1),glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta(GSK3β)and protein kinase B(AKT),which accounted for the inactivation of mitogen-activated protein kinase/AKT(MAPK/AKT)pathways.These results indicate that GSPs are a potential source of natural chemopreventive agents for the treatment of HCC.Wancai Zheng a Yujing Feng Yujia Bai Zuoshan Feng Xijuan Yang Bin Dang Ming Xiao Jianmei Zhang Sheng-Qiang Han 2022Food Bioscience2022,45,1:1

12The Study on Bamboo Microfibers Isolated by Steam Explosion and Their Comprehensive Properties显示文摘To overcome the shortage of wood resources as well as to develop novel natural fibers materials,the Chimonobambusa quadrangularis(CQ)and Qiongzhuea tumidinoda(QT)planted in Southwest China were effectively isolated by the steam explosion(SE).The fine and uniform bamboo microfibers derived from CQ and QT were obtained,and their smallest average widths were 12.62μm and 16.05μm,respectively.The effects of steam explosion on the micro-morphology,chemical composition,thermal stability,crystallinity,surface wettability,and mechanical properties of bamboo microfibers were comprehensively investigated.The results showed that the relative content of cellulose in bamboo microfibers increased but the hemicellulose and lignin contents decreased after SE.The degrees of crystallinity for CQ and QT increased from 40.49%and 39.46%to 68.90%and 55.78%,respectively.The thermal stability and surface hydrophilicity were also improved.The CQ microfibers had a maximum decomposition temperature of 2.79°C,a tensile strength of 58.54 MPa,an elongation at break of 0.6%,and a water contact angle of 2.7°higher than those of the QT microfibers.Qiushi Li Ronggang Luo Yu Chen Jinhui Xiong Bei Qiao Xijuan Chai Linkun Xie Juan Wang Lianpeng Zhang Siqun Wang Guanben Du Kaimeng Xu 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,6:0
13The haplotype-resolved autotetraploid genome assembly provides insights into the genomic evolution and fruit divergence in wax apple(Syzygium samarangense(Blume)Merr.and Perry)显示文摘Wax apple(Syzygium samarangense)is an economically important fruit crop with great potential value to human health because of its richness in antioxidant substances.Here,we present a haplotype-resolved autotetraploid genome assembly of the wax apple with a size of 1.59 Gb.Comparative genomic analysis revealed three rounds of whole-genome duplication(WGD)events,including two independent WGDs after WGT-γ.Resequencing analysis of 35 accessions partitioned these individuals into two distinct groups,including 28 landraces and seven cultivated species,and several genes subject to selective sweeps possibly contributed to fruit growth,including the KRP1-like,IAA17-like,GME-like,and FLACCA-like genes.Transcriptome analysis of three different varieties during flower and fruit development identified key genes related to fruit size,sugar content,and male sterility.We found that AP2 also affected fruit size by regulating sepal development in wax apples.The expression of sugar transport-related genes(SWEETs and SUTs)was high in‘ZY’,likely contributing to its high sugar content.Male sterility in‘Tub’was associated with tapetal abnormalities due to the decreased expression of DYT1,TDF1,and AMS,which affected early tapetum development.The chromosome-scale genome and large-scale transcriptome data presented in this study offer new valuable resources for biological research on S.samarangense and shed new light on fruit size control,sugar metabolism,and male sterility regulatory metabolism in wax apple.Xiuqing Wei Min Chen Xijuan Zhang Yinghao Wang Liang Li Ling Xu Huanhuan Wang Mengwei Jiang Caihui Wang Lihui Zeng Jiahui Xu 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,12:0
14Stoichiometric Imbalance-promoted Step-growth Polymerization Based on Self-accelerating Three-component Reaction显示文摘Aself-accelerating three-component reaction was developed using the secondary amines,CS_(2),and sym-dibenzo-1,5-cyclooctadiene-3,7-diyne(DIBOD)as reactants.In this three-component reaction,the secondary amine reacts with CS_(2) to form dithiocarbamate anion,which subsequently in-situ reacts with DIBOD behaving a self-accelerating reaction property.Specifically,the reaction of dithiocarbamate anion with the first alkyne of DIBOD activates the unreacted alkyne,which reacts with dithiocarbamate anion much faster than the original alkyne of DIBOD.Using the self-accelerating three-component reaction as polymerization reaction,a stoichiometric imbalance-promoted step-growth polymerization method was developed using the difunctional secondary amines,CS_(2),and DIBOD as monomer groups.This novel three-component polymerization can quickly produce high molecular weight dithiocarbamate-containing polymers under mild conditions using a slight molar excess of DIBOD to difunctional secondary amine monomer.Containing sulfur elements in the backbones,the resultant polymers hold high refractivity and may find potential applications in optical and optoelectronic fields.ZHANG Yu ZHENG Jianzhi LI Xijuan WU Ying ZHANG Ke 2023Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2023,39,5:0

17Fairness Aware Rate Adaptation and Proportional Scheduling for IEEE 802.11 WLANs Using FSE显示文摘With its rapid development in the wireless markets, IEEE 802.11 WLAN is experiencing a huge popularity. However, due to the limitation of frequency bandwidth of WLANs, it is essential that the available radio resource should be fully utilized to offer different services to multiple users. In order to maximize system throughput while still guaranteeing the fairness among users, a proportional fairness based algorithm is proposed in this work. Since most of the previous resource allocation algorithms were simply based on the channel conditions without taking into account user's demand, in this paper, we introduce the theory of fuzzy synthetic evaluation(FSE) which also allows us to consider user's demand as an important factor. As such, the fairness among users can be improved based on different users' requirements for services. In addition, a channel state information based rate adaptation scheme is also proposed. 18Anti-aging performance improvement and enhanced combustion efficiency of boron via the coating of PDA显示文摘Boron is an ambitious fuel in energetic materials since its high heat release values,but its application is prohibited by low combustion efficiency and oxidization during storage.The polydopamine(PDA)was introduced into boron particles,investigating the impact of PDA content on the energetic behavior of boron.The results indicated that the PDA coating formed a fishing net structure on the surface of boron particles.The heat release results showed that the combustion calorific value of B@PDA was higher than that of the raw boron.Specifically,the actual combustion heat of boron powder in B@10%PDA increased by 38.08%.Meanwhile,the DSC peak temperature decreased by 100.65℃under similar oxidation rate compared to raw boron.Simultaneously,the B@PDA@AP and B@AP composites were prepared,and their combustion properties were evaluated.It was demonstrated that B@10%PDA@AP exhibited superior performance in terms of peak pressure and burning time,respectively.The peak pressure is 12.43 kPa more than B@AP and burning time is 2.22 times higher than B@AP.Therefore,the coating of PDA effectively inhibits the oxidization of boron during storage and enhances the energetic behavior of boron and corresponding composites.Shuai Ma Qinghai Shu Mengyang Zhang Hongyu Huang Yansong Shi Xijuan Lv Shuai Zhao 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,33,3:0
19Effect of Manganese on DNA-Protein Crosslinks of Testicle in Chicken显示文摘In order to explore the effect of manganese on DNA-protein crosslinks (DPC) of testicle in chicken. 500, 800, 1 700 mg · kg-1 MnCl2 were added to forage to establish the model of the sub-chronic manganese poisoning. After 30, 60 and 90 d, testicles were taken out to detect hydroxyl radical inhibiting capacity and DPC content. The results showed that compared with control group, hydroxyl radical inhibiting capacity significantly decreased and DPC content notably increased, and there was a time-dose relationship. 20Orthogroup and phylotranscriptomic analyses identify transcription factors involved in the plant cold response:Acase study of Arabidopsis BBX29显示文摘C-repeat binding factors(CBFs)are well-known transcription factors(TFs)that regulate plant cold acclimation.RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)data from diverse plant species provide opportunities to identify other TFs involved in the cold response.However,this task is challenging because gene gain and loss has led to an intertwined community of co-orthologs and in-paralogs between and within species.Using orthogroup(closely related homologs)analysis,we identified 10,549 orthogroups in five representative eudicots.A phylotranscriptomic analysis of cold-treated seedlings from eudicots identified 35 high-confidence conserved cold-responsive transcription factor orthogroups(CoCoFos).These 35 CoCoFos included the well-known cold-responsive regulators CBFs,HSFC1,ZAT6/10,and CZF1 among others.We used Arabidopsis BBX29 for experimental validation.Expression and genetic analyses showed that cold-induction of BBX29 is CBF-and abscisic acid-independent,and BBX29 is a negative regulator of cold tolerance.Integrative RNA-seq and Cleavage Under Targets and Tagmentation followed by sequencing analyses revealed that BBX29 represses a set of cold-induced TFs(ZAT12,PRR9,RVE1,MYB96,etc.).Altogether,our analysis yielded a library of eudicot CoCoFos and demonstrated that BBX29 is a negative regulator of cold tolerance in Arabidopsis.Shuo Wang Yirong Shen Deyin Deng Liangyu Guo Yixian Zhang Yuqi Nie Yunfei Du Xijuan Zhao Xiaoxue Ye Jianqin Huang Huahong Huang Jian-Kang Zhu Wenwu Wu 2023Plant Communications2023,4,6:0
