| 1 | A review of ecological restoration techniques in fluvial rivers显示文摘Rivers play an important role in people's living and agricultural production,however,intense human activities have broken the original ecological balance,and affected structures and functions of the river ecosystem.To restore the damaged river ecosystem back to a healthy status,effective ecological restoration measures need to be implemented.The main problems that the damaged rivers face are either the locally altered hydrological processes affected by construction of hydraulic facilities,or the deterioration of water quality resulted from pollution emissions,or both.In this study,ecological restoration techniques of the rivers affected by engineering control or pollution are reviewed respectively.In addition,three kinds of methods,i.e.physical,chemical and biological-ecological methods are introduced in details for the rivers affected by water pollution.At present,the development of river restoration techniques shows the following trends:1) the scale of ecological restoration is becoming larger;2) ecological restoration measures are required to meet multiple objectives;and 3) the management of water environment is changing from water quality management to aquatic ecosystem management. | Baozhu Pan Jianping Yuan Xinhua Zhang Zhaoyin Wang Jiao Chen Jinyou Lu Wenjun Yang Zhiwei Li Na Zhao Mengzhen Xu | 2016 | International Journal of Sediment Research2016,31,2: | 18 |

| 4 | Graphene quantum dots assisted photovoltage and efficiency enhancement in CdSe quantum dot sensitized solar cells显示文摘CdSe quantum dot sensitized solar cells(QDSCs) modified with graphene quantum dots(GQDs) have been successfully achieved in this work for the first time. Satisfactorily, the optimized photovoltage(Voc) of the modified QDSCs was approximately 0.04 V higher than that of plain CdSe QDSCs, consequently improving the photovoltaic performance of the resulting QDSCs. Served as a novel coating on the CdSe QD sensitized photoanode, GQDs played a vital role in improving Vocdue to the suppressed charge recombination which has been confirmed by electron impedance spectroscopy as well as transient photovoltage decay measurements. Moreover, different adsorption sequences, concentration and deposition time of GQDs have also been systematically investigated to boost the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of CdSe QDSCs. | 11 | Design of hierarchical and mesoporous FeF_(3)/rGO hybrids as cathodes for superior lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Iron fluoride(FeF_(3)) is considered as a promising cathode material for Li-ion batteries(LIBs)due to its high theoretical capacity(712 mAh/g)with a 3 e-transfer.Herein,we have designed a strategy of hierarchical and mesoporous FeF_(3)/rG O hybrids for LIBs,where the hollow Fe F_(3) nanospheres are the main contributor to the specific capacity and the 2 D r GO nanosheets are the matrix elevating the electronic conductivity and buffering the volume expansion.The unique FeF_(3)/rGO hybrid can be rationally synthesized by a nonaqueous in-situ precipitation method,offering the merits of large specific surface area with rich active sites,fast transport channels for lithium ions,effective alleviation of volume expansion during cycles,and accelerating the electrochemical reaction kinetics.The Fe F_(3)/r GO hybrid electrode possesses a high initial discharge capacity of 553.9 m Ah/g at a rate of 0.5 C with 378 m Ah/g after 100 cycles,acceptable rate capability with 168 m Ah/g at 2 C,and feasible high-temperature operation(320 m Ah/g at 70℃).The superior electrochemical behaviors presented here demonstrates that the FeF_(3)/rGO hybrid is a potential electrode for LIBs,which may open up a new vision to design high-efficiency energy-storage devices such as LIBs based on transition metal fluorides. | Jiale Lian Yang Wu Yichuan Guo Zhenyun Zhao Qinghua Zhang Yang Hou Lingxiang Chen Bin Lu Xinhua Pan Zhizhen Ye Jianguo Lu | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8: | 0 |

| 14 | Suppression of cell pyroptosis by omeprazole through PDE4-mediated autophagy in gastric epithelial cells显示文摘Helicobacter pylori is a risk factor for the development of peptic ulcers with autophagy dysfunction.Omeprazole was widely known as the first-line regimen for H.pylori-associated gastritis.Objectives:The objective of this work was to assess the role of omeprazole on cell pyroptosis and autophagy.Methods:The clinical samples were collected.Quantitative polymerase chain reaction,western blotting,enzyme linked immunosorbent assay,and immunofluorescence(IF)analysis were conducted to reveal the mechanism of omeprazole on cell pyroptosis and autophagy.Results:The results revealed that omeprazole could decrease cell pyroptosis,which was attributed to the downregulation of cleaved caspase-1 expression,resulting in the inhibition of gasdermin E and interleukin-18/1βmaturation and secretion as well as the resolution of inflammation.Mechanistically,omeprazole treatment led to drastic downregulation of mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)activity was observed in BGC823 cells,leading to enhanced autophagy characterized by increased LC3II expression,which further reduced cell pyroptosis.This omeprazole-mediated phenomenon was enhanced after phosphodiesterase-4(PDE4)inhibitor dipyridamole(DIP)treatment.In addition,activation of mTOR by MHY1485 could rescue the suppression of cell pyroptosis induced by omeprazole.Most importantly,IF analysis suggested that phosphorylation of mTOR and PDE4 activity and caspase-1 were enhanced in H.pylori-infected gastric mucosa.Conclusion:These findings indicate that omeprazole suppresses cell pyroptosis through PDE4-mediated autophagy in gastric epithelial cells,and DIP enhanced the omeprazole-mediated inhibition of cell pyroptosis,implying that DIP is an alternative combined therapy strategy in improving the treatment of patients with H.pylori infection. | LIPING YE HUIYAN SUN XINHUA LIANG WENXU PAN LI XIANG WENJUN DU LANLAN GENG WANFU XU SITANG GONG | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,12: | 0 |
| 15 | Bioinspired MXene-Based Soft Actuators Exhibiting Angle-Independent Structural Color显示文摘In nature,many living organisms exhibiting unique structural coloration and soft-bodied actuation have inspired scientists to develop advanced structural colored soft actuators toward biomimetic soft robots.However,it is challenging to simultaneously biomimic the angle-independent structural color and shape-morphing capabilities found in the plum-throated cotinga flying bird.Herein,we report biomimetic MXene-based soft actuators with angle-independent structural color that are fabricated through controlled self-assembly of colloidal SiO_(2) nanoparticles onto highly aligned MXene films followed by vacuum-assisted infiltration of polyvinylidene fluoride into the interstices.The resulting soft actuators are found to exhibit brilliant,angle-independent structural color,as well as ultrafast actuation and recovery speeds(a maximum curvature of 0.52 mm−1 can be achieved within 1.16 s,and a recovery time of~0.24 s)in response to acetone vapor.As proof-of-concept illustrations,structural colored soft actuators are applied to demonstrate a blue gripper-like bird’s claw that can capture the target,artificial green tendrils that can twine around tree branches,and an artificial multicolored butterfly that can flutter its wings upon cyclic exposure to acetone vapor.The strategy is expected to offer new insights into the development of biomimetic multifunctional soft actuators for somatosensory soft robotics and next-generation intelligent machines. | Pan Xue Yuanhao Chen Yiyi Xu Cristian Valenzuela Xuan Zhang Hari Krishna Bisoyi Xiao Yang Ling Wang Xinhua Xu Quan Li | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,1: | 0 |

| 17 | Lonicera japonica-induced inhibition of interleukin-1 beta thermogenesis and E-type prostaglandin receptor-3 expression in the preoptic area of rabbits显示文摘BACKGROUND: It has been shown that interleukin-1β (IL-1β) can induce fever by activating vascular endothelial cells and macrophages of the supraoptic crest to generate prostaglandin E2,which binds with receptors of the thermo-sensitive hypothalamic neurons. Lonicera japonica is one of the medicinal plants used widely in Asia for its antipyretic properties. However,these mechanisms have not yet been intensively studied. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the antipyretic effect and mechanisms of Lonicera japonica on IL-1β-induced febrile New Zealand rabbits by observing expression changes of E-type prostaglandin receptor-3 (EP3) mRNA in the preoptic anterior hypothalamus (POAH). DESIGN: A randomized controlled study. SETTING: Electrophysiological Laboratory at the Department of Pathophysiology,Medical College of Jinan University; Department of Orthopaedics,First Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Jinan University. MATERIALS: The experiment was performed from April to December 2005,using a total of 32 New Zealand white rabbits of both sexes,weighing 1.5-2.0 kg. All the animal experiments were performed according to the internationally accepted ethical guidelines. Lonicera japonica injection was purchased from Huanghe pharmaceutical factory of Xi'an,China. IL-1β was purchased from Sigma,USA. METHODS: A total of 32 rabbits were divided randomly into four groups: ① Normal saline (NS) control group; ② Lonicera japonica treatment group; ③ IL-1β treatment group; and ④ Lonicera japonica plus IL-1β treatment group. In the first 3 groups,the rabbits were given separate intravenous (i.v.) injections of 1 mL NS,1 mL Lonicera japonica,and 100 ng IL-1β (dissolved in 0.9% NS without pyrogen). In the Lonicera japonica plus IL-1β group each rabbit was given i.v. injections of 1 mL NS and,30 minutes later,100 ng IL-1β. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Colonic temperature of each rabbit was measured at 0,10,20,30,40,50,60,and 70 minutes after injection and the maximum temperature rise (ΔT) and the temperature response index after 1 hour (TRI1) was calculated. Subsequently,in situ hybridization (ISH) was done with an ISH kit,EP3 mRNA expression in the POAH of all groups was measured (number of positive cells and average gray scale value). RESULTS: A total of 32 rabbits were included in the result analysis,without any loss. ①ΔT and TRI1: there was no significant difference between the Lonicera japonica group and NS group (P > 0.05). The IL-1β group was significantly greater compared to NS group (P < 0.01). The Lonicera japonica plus IL-1β group was significantly less than the IL-1β group (P < 0.05). ② In the NS and Lonicera japonica groups,the EP3 mRNA expression was negative (no coloration) or only weakly positive (only a few brown yellow particles in the cytoplasm cells could not be identified). The number of positive cells and the average gray scale value were not significantly different between the two groups (P > 0.05). In the IL-1β group,the number of positive cells was remarkably higher and the average gray scale value was lower than the NS group (P < 0.01). In the Lonicera japonica plus IL-1β group,the number of positive cells was significantly less than the IL-1β group (P < 0.05). However,the average gray scale value was greater than the IL-1β group (P < 0.05). | 19 | IQ67 DOMAIN protein 21 is critical for indentation formation in pavement cell morphogenesis显示文摘In plants, cortical microtubules anchor to the plasma membrane in arrays and play important roles in cell shape. However, the molecular mechanism of microtubule binding proteins, which connect the plasma membrane and cortical microtubules in cell morphology remains largely unknown. Here, we report that a plasma membrane and microtubule duallocalized IQ67 domain protein, IQD21, is critical for cotyledon pavement cell(PC) morphogenesis in Arabidopsis. iqd21 mutation caused increased indentation width, decreased lobe length, and similar lobe number of PCs, whereas IQD21 overexpression had a different effect on cotyledon PC shape. Weak overexpression led to increased lobe number, decreased indentation width, and similar lobe length, while moderate or great overexpression resulted in decreased lobe number, indentation width, and lobe length of PCs. Live-cell observations revealed that IQD21 accumulation at indentation regions correlates with lobe initiation and outgrowth during PC development. Cell biological and genetic approaches revealed that IQD21 promotes transfacial microtubules anchoring to the plasma membrane via its polybasic sites and bundling at the indentation regions in both periclinal and anticlinal walls. IQD21 controls cortical microtubule organization mainly through promoting Katanin 1-mediated microtubule severing during PC interdigitation.
