| 1 | Fluorescent nanoparticles for chemical and biological sensing显示文摘Fluorescent nanoparticles (NPs), including quantum dots (QDs), dye-doped NPs, and rare earth-based NPs, etc., have been a major focus of research and development during the past decade. The impetus behind such endeavors can be attributed to their unique chemical and optical properties, such as bright fluorescence, high photostability, large Stocks shift and flexible processability. The introduction of fluorescent NPs into analytical chemistry has opened up new venues for fluorescent analysis. In this review, we focus on the developments and analytical applications of fluorescent NPs in the chemical and biological sensing of pH, ions, organic compounds, small biological molecules, nucleic acids, proteins, virus and bacteria. The review also points out the in vitro and in vivo imaging application of fluorescent NPs at the cell and body levels. | 3 | Soil erosion and sediment interception by check dams in a watershed for an extreme rainstorm on the Loess Plateau,China显示文摘The magnitude of soil erosion and sediment load reduction efficiency of check dams under extreme rainstorms is a long-standing concern.The current paper aims to use check dams to deduce the amount of soil erosion under extreme rainstorms in a watershed and to identify the difference in sediment interception efficiency of different types of check dams.Based on the sediment deposition at 12 check dams with 100% sediment interception efficiency and sub-catchment clustering by taking 12 damcontrolled catchments as clustering criteria,the amount of soil erosion resulting from an extreme rainstorm event on July 26,2017(named '7·26' extreme rainstorm) was estimated in the Chabagou watershed in the hill and gully region of the Loess Plateau.The differences in the sediment interception efficiency among the check dams in the watershed were analyzed according to field observations at 17 check dams.The results show that the average erosion intensity under the '7-26' extreme rainstorm was approximately 2.03×10~4 t/km^2,which was 5 times that in the second largest erosive rainfall in 2017(4.15×10~3 t/km^2) and 11-384 times that for storms in 2018(0.53×10~2 t/km^2-1.81×10~3 t/km^2).Under the '7-26' extreme rainstorm,the amount of soil erosion in the Chabagou watershed above the Caoping hydrological station was 4.20 × 106 t.The sediment interception efficiency of the check dams with drainage canals(including the destroyed check dams) and with drainage culverts was 6.48 and 39.49%,respectively.The total actual sediment amount trapped by the check dams was 1.11 × 106 t,accounting for 26.36% of the total amount of soil erosion.In contrast,3.09×106 t of sediment were input to the downstream channel,and the sediment deposition in the channel was 2.23×10~6 t,accounting for 53.15%of the total amount of soil erosion.The amount of sediment transport at the hydrological station was8.60×10~5 t.The Sediment Delivery Ratio(SDR) under the '7·26' extreme rainstorm was 0.21.The results indicated that the amount of soil erosion was huge,and the sediment interception efficiency of the check dams was greatly reduced under extreme rainstorms.It is necessary to strengthen the management and construction technology standards of check dams to improve the sediment interception efficiency and flood safety in the watershed. | Leichao Bai Nan Wang Juying Jiao Yixian Chen Bingzhe Tang Haolin Wang Yulan Chen Xiqin Yan Zhijie Wang | 2020 | International Journal of Sediment Research2020,35,4: | 7 |

| 5 | Performance bounds of extended target tracking in cluttered environments显示文摘In this paper, we consider the problem of the performance bound of a nonlinear filtering problem corresponding to tracking an extended target in cluttered environments (i.e., with false alarms and missed detections). The high resolution sensor obtains the measurements of the position and the extent of the extended target whose shape is modeled by an ellipse. The posterior Cramer-Rao lower bound (PCRLB) provides a useful tool to evaluate the best achievable performance of the nonlinear filtering problem. The bounds of the traditional kinematic state estimation are calculated using the point and the extended target model. It is shown in this paper that the bound of extended target tracking is smaller than that of point model because more information is utilized. The bounds are calculated to examine the influence of the measuring accuracy, the geometry between the sensor and the target, the prior knowledge of the target, and the environmental circumstance. In a cluttered environment, the PCRLB is calculated by IRF (information reduction factor), MSC (measurement sequence conditioning), and MESC (measurement existence sequence conditioning) approaches. | 9 | Water quantity-quality combined evaluation method for rivers' water requirements of the instream environment in dualistic water cycle: A case study of Liaohe River Basin显示文摘In this article the meaning of the quantity and quality of environmental flows of river in dualistic water cycle is discussed,and compared with the meaning of unitary water cycle. Based on the analysis of the relationship between environmental flows of river re-quirements,the efficiency of water resource usage,the consumption coefficient,and the concentration of waste water elimination,the water quantity and water quality calculation method of the environmental flows of river requirements in dualistic water cycle is developed,and the criteria for environmental flows of river requirements are established,and therefore the water quantity-quality combined evaluation of natural river flows requirements are realized. Taking the Liaohe River as a model,the environmental flows of river requirements for Xiliao River,Dongliao River,mainstream Liaohe River,Huntai River and northeast rivers along the coasts of the Yellow and Bohai seas in unitary water cycle are calculated,each taking up 39.3%,63.0%,43.9%,43.3% and 43.5% of runoff respectively. Evaluated according to Tennant recommended flow,the results show that: except Xiliao River is 'median',the rest are all upon 'good',the Dongliao River is even 'very good'. The corresponding results in dualistic water cycle are that,the proportion of natural flows for each river is 57.5%,74.1%,60.8%,60.3% and 60.4%; while the combined evaluation results show that: considering 'quantity',except Xiliao River,the rest rivers can all achieve the 'quantity' criteria of the en-vironmental flows of river requirements,but if considering the aspect of 'quality',only Dongliao River can reach the 'quality' standard. By water quantity-quality combined evalua-tion method,only Dongliao River can achieve the criteria. By utilizing the inherent advantages of molecular beacon probes and biofunctionalized nanoparticles, a series of novel principles, methods and techniques have been exploited for bioanalytical and biomedical studies. This review mainly discusses the applications of molecular beacon probes and biofunctionalized nanoparticles-based technologies for realtime, in-situ, highly sensitive and highly selective protein analysis, including the nonspecific or specific protein detection and separation, protein/DNA interaction studies, cell surface protein recognition, and antigen-antibody binding process-based bacteria assays. | 11 | Study on the Optimal Composition of Chitosan/Nano-TiO_2 Composite Film and Its Application in the Preservation of Jinqiu Pear显示文摘Water permeability can be used as a parameter to evaluate the effects of chitosan / nano-TiO_2 composite film on the preservation of fruits and vegetables.In this study,using water permeability as the objective function,an L9( 3)3orthogonal experiment was conducted with addition amounts of chitosan,nano-TiO_2 and glycerin as three factors at three levels. According to the experimental results,when the percentages of chitosan,nano-TiO_2 and glycerin in chitosan / nano-TiO_2 composite film was 2%,0. 03% and 2. 5%,respectively( i. e.,there were 2. 0 g of chitosan,0. 03g of nano-TiO_2 and 2. 5g of glycerin per 100 g composite film solution),the water permeability of chitosan / nano-TiO_2 composite film reached the minimum. Chitosan / nano-TiO_2 composite film prepared with the optimal composition was used for preservation of Jinqiu pear. | 12 | Balancing selection and wild gene pool contribute to resistance in global rice germplasm against planthopper显示文摘Interactions and co-evolution between plants and herbivorous insects are critically important in agriculture.Brown planthopper(BPH)is the most severe insect of rice,and the biotypes adapt to feed on different rice genotypes.Here,we present genomics analyses on 1,520 global rice germplasms for resistance to three BPH biotypes.Genome-wide association studies identified 3,502 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)and 59 loci associated with BPH resistance in rice.We cloned a previously unidentified gene Bph37 that confers resistance to BPH.The associated loci showed high nucleotide diversity.Genome-wide scans for trans-species polymorphisms revealed ancient balancing selection at the loci.The secondarily evolved insect biotypes II and III exhibited significantly higher virulence and overcame more rice varieties than the primary biotype I.In response,more SNPs and loci evolved in rice for resistance to biotypes II and III.Notably,three exceptional large regions with high SNP density and resistance-associated loci on chromosomes 4 and 6 appear distinct between the resistant and susceptible rice varieties.Surprisingly,these regions in resistant rice might have been retained from wild species Oryza nivara.Our findings expand the understanding of long-term interactions between rice and BPH and provide resistance genes and germplasm resources for breeding durable BPH-resistant rice varieties. | Cong Zhou Qian Zhang Yu Chen Jin Huang Qin Guo Yi Li Wensheng Wang Yongfu Qiu Wei Guan Jing Zhang Jianping Guo Shaojie Shi Di Wu Xiaohong Zheng Lingyun Nie Jiaoyan Tan Chaomei Huang Yinhua Ma Fang Yang Xiqin Fu Bo Du Lili Zhu Rongzhi Chen Zhikang Li Longping Yuan Guangcun He | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,10: | 2 |
