4Incidence and mortality of stomach cancer in China,2014显示文摘Objective: In this study,we aimed to estimate the updated incidence and mortality rate of stomach cancer based on the cancer registration data in 2014,collected by the National Central Cancer Registry of China(NCCRC).Methods: In 2017,339 registries' data were qualified based on the criteria of data quality control of the NCCRC.Cases of stomach cancer were retrieved from the national database.We estimated numbers of stomach cancer cases and deaths in China using age-specific rates and corresponding national population stratified by area,sex,agegroup(0,1–4,5–9,10–14,…,85+).Chinese standard population in 2000 and Segi's world population were applied for age-standardized incidence and mortality rates.Results: In 2014,410,400 new stomach cancer cases and 293,800 cancer-associated deaths were estimated to have occurred in China.The crude incidence rate of stomach cancer was 30.00/100,000,age-standardized incidence rates by Chinese standard population(ASIRC) and by world standard population(ASIRW) were 19.62/100,000 and19.51/100,000,respectively.The crude mortality rate of stomach cancer was 21.48/100,000,age-standardized mortality rates by Chinese(ASMRC) and by world standard population(ASMRW) were 13.44/100,000 and13.30/100,000,respectively.Incidence and mortality rates in rural areas were both higher than that in urban areas.Stomach cancer has a strong relationship with gender and age.The disease has occurred more frequently among men than women with a male to female ratio of 2.4 for ASIRC.After age group of 40-44 years,incidence rates are substantially higher in men than in women,same pattern was seen for age-specific mortality rates.Conclusions: There is still a heavy burden of stomach cancer in China.The incidence and mortality patterns of stomach cancer show substantial gender and regional disparities.Great effort is needed to provide more accessible health services,sufficient financial resources,and adequate cancer-care infrastructure for the Chinese population,especially for people living in rural areas.Lei Yang Rongshou Zheng Ning Wang Yannan Yuan Shuo Liu Huichao Li Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Wanqing Chen 2018Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,3:114

6Clinical and biochemical indexes from 2019-nCoV infected patients linked to viral loads and lung injury显示文摘The outbreak of the 2019-nCoV infection began in December 2019 in Wuhan,Hubei province,and rapidly spread to many provinces in China as well as other countries.Here we report the epidemiological,clinical,laboratory,and radiological characteristics,as well as potential biomarkers for predicting disease severity in 2019-nCoV-infected patients in Shenzhen,China.All 12 cases of the 2019-nCoV-infected patients developed pneumonia and half of them developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).The most common laboratory abnormalities were hypoalbuminemia,lymphopenia,decreased percentage of lymphocytes (LYM) and neutrophils (NEU),elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),and decreased CD8 count.The viral load of 2019-nCoV detected from patient respiratory tracts was positively linked to lung disease severity.ALB,LYM,LYM (%),LDH,NEU (%),and CRP were highly correlated to the acute lung injury.Age,viral load,lung injury score,and blood biochemistry indexes,albumin (ALB),CRP,LDH,LYM (%),LYM,and NEU (%),may be predictors of disease severity.Moreover,the Angiotensin Ⅱlevel in the plasma sample from 2019-nCoV infected patients was markedly elevated and linearly associated to viral load and lung injury.Our results suggest a number of potential diagnosis biomarkers and angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) drugs for potential repurposing treatment of 2019-nCoV infection.Yingxia Liu Yang Yang Cong Zhang Fengming Huang Fuxiang Wang Jing Yuan Zhaoqin Wang Jinxiu Li Jianming Li Cheng Feng Zheng Zhang Lifei Wang Ling Peng Li Chen Yuhao Qin Dandan Zhao Shuguang Tan Lu Yin Jun Xu Congzhao Zhou Chengyu Jiang Lei Liu 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3:157
7A rapid advice guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV) infected pneumonia(standard version)显示文摘In December 2019, a new type viral pneumonia cases occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province;and then named '2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)' by the World Health Organization(WHO) on 12 January 2020. For it is a never been experienced respiratory disease before and with infection ability widely and quickly, it attracted the world’s attention but without treatment and control manual. For the request from frontline clinicians and public health professionals of 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia management, an evidence-based guideline urgently needs to be developed. Therefore, we drafted this guideline according to the rapid advice guidelines methodology and general rules of WHO guideline development;we also added the first-hand management data of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. This guideline includes the guideline methodology, epidemiological characteristics, disease screening and population prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control(including traditional Chinese Medicine), nosocomial infection prevention and control, and disease nursing of the 2019-nCoV. Moreover, we also provide a whole process of a successful treatment case of the severe 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia and experience and lessons of hospital rescue for 2019-nCoV infections. 10Liver fibrosis and hepatic stellate cells: Etiology, pathological hallmarks and therapeutic targets显示文摘Liver fibrosis is a reversible wound-healing process aimed at maintaining organ integrity, and presents as the critical pre-stage of liver cirrhosis, which will eventually progress to hepatocellular carcinoma in the absence of liver transplantation. Fibrosis generally results from chronic hepatic injury caused by various factors, mainly viral infection, schistosomiasis, and alcoholism; however, the exact pathological mechanisms are still unknown. Although numerous drugs have been shown to have antifibrotic activity in vitro and in animal models, none of these drugs have been shown to be efficacious in the clinic. Importantly, hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) play a key role in the initiation, progression, and regression of liver fibrosis by secreting fibrogenic factors that encourage portal fibrocytes, fibroblasts, and bone marrow-derived myofibroblasts to produce collagen and thereby propagate fibrosis. These cells are subject to intricate cross-talk with adjacent cells, resulting in scarring and subsequent liver damage. Thus, an understanding of the molecular mechanisms of liver fibrosis and their relationships with HSCs is essential for the discovery of new therapeutic targets. 11Relocation of the M8.0 Wenchuan earthquake and its aftershock sequence显示文摘We relocated M8.0 Wenchuan earthquake and 2706 aftershocks with M≥2.0 using double-difference algorithm and obtained relocations of 2553 events. To reduce the influence of lateral variation in crustal and upper mantle velocity structure, we used different velocity models for the east and west side of Longmenshan fault zone. In the relocation process, we added seismic data from portable seismic sta-tions close to the shocks to constrain focal depths. The precisions in E-W, N-S, and U-D directions after relocation are 0.6, 0.7, and 2.5 km respectively. The relocation results show that the aftershock epi-centers of Wenchuan earthquake were distributed in NE-SW direction, with a total length of about 330 km. The aftershocks were concentrated on the west side of the central fault of Longmenshan fault zone, excluding those on the north of Qingchuan, which obviously deviated from the surface fault and passed through Pingwu-Qingchuan fault in the north. The dominant focal depths of the aftershocks are between 5 and 20 km, the average depth is 13.3 km, and the depth of the relocated main shock is 16.0 km. The depth profile reveals that focal depth distribution in some of the areas is characterized by high-angle westward dipping. 122018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. 13High-dose Iodized Oil Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization For Patients with Large Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘AIM:To conduct a randomized trial to evaluate the role ofusing high-dose iodized oil transcatheter arterialchemosmbolization(TACE)in the treatment of largehepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS:From January 1993 to June 1998,473 patientswith unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma ware divided intotwo groups:216 patients in group A received more than20mL iodized oil during the first TACE treatment;257patients in group B received 5-15mL iodized oil in the sameway.The Child's classification and ICG-R15 for evaluatingthe liver function of the patients ware done before thetreatment.During the TACE procedure the catheters wasinserted into the target artery selectively and the tumorvessels ware demonstrated with contrast medium in thehepatic angiography.The anticancar drugs mixed withiodized oil(Lipiodol)ware Epirubicin and Mitomycin.Ingroup A,112 cases received 20-29mL Lipiodol in the firstprocedure,85 cases 30-39mL,19 cases more than 40mL.The largest dose was 53 mL and the average dose was28.3mL.In group B,119 cases received 5-10mL Lipiodol,138 cases received 11-15mL,and the average dose was11.8mL.RESULTS:High-dose Lipiodol chemoembolization causedtolerable side effects and a little hurt to the liver function inthe patients with Child grade A or ICG-R15<20.But thepatients with child grade B or ICG-R15>20 had higher risk ofliver failure after high-dose TACE.More type Ⅱ and type Ⅱlipiodol accumulations in CT scan after 4 weeks of TACEware seen in the group A patients than those in the group Bpatients(P<0.01).The resection rate and complete tumornecrosis rate in group A ware higher than those of group B(P<0.05).The 1-,2-,3-year survival rates of group Apatients with Child grade A ware 79.2%,51.8% and 34.9%,respectively,better then those of group B(P<0.001).CONCLUSION:High-dose Lipiodol can result in morecomplete tumor necrosis by blocking both arteries and small portal veins of the tumor.High-dose TACE for treatment oflarge and hypervascular hepatocallular carcinoma ispractically acceptable with the better effect than the routinedose.For the patients with large and hypervascular tumor ofChild grade A liver function or ICG-R15 less than 20%,oilychemoembolization with 20-40mL Lipiodol is recommended.Min-Shan Chen Jin-Qing Li Ya-Qi Zhang Yun-Fei Yuan Yong-Ping Guo Xiao-Jun Lin Guo-Hui Lim Department of Hepatobiliary Cancer Center of Sun Yet-sen University of Medical Sciences,Guangzhou 510060,China Li-Xia Lu Wei-Zhang Zhang Department of Radiology Cancer Center of Sun Yet-sen University of Medical Sciences,Guangzhou 510060,China 2002World Journal of Gastroenterology2002,8,1:58
14Contrasting trends of PM2.5 and surface-ozone concentrations in China from 2013 to 2017显示文摘Although much attention has been paid to investigating and controlling air pollution in China,the trends of air-pollutant concentrations on a national scale have remained unclear.Here,we quantitatively investigated the variation of air pollutants in China using long-term comprehensive data sets from 2013 to 2017,during which Chinese government made major efforts to reduce anthropogenic emission in polluted regions.Our results show a significant decreasing trend in the PM2.5 concentration in heavily polluted regions of eastern China,with an annual decrease of〜7%compared with measurements in 2013.The measured decreased concentrations of SO2>NO2 and CO(a proxy for anthropogenic volatile organic compounds)could explain a large fraction of the decreased PM2.5 concentrations in different regions.As a consequence;the heavily polluted days decreased significantly in corresponding regions.Concentrations of organic aerosol;nitrate;sulfate,ammonium and chloride measured in urban Beijing revealed a remarkable reduction from 2013 to 2017;connecting the decreases in aerosol precursors with corresponding chemical components closely.However;surface-ozone concentrations showed increasing trends in most urban stations from 2013 to 2017;which indicates stronger photochemical pollution.The boundary-layer height in capital c让ies of eastern China showed no significant trends over the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions from 2013 to 2017;which confirmed the reduction in anthropogenic emissions.Our results demonstrated that the Chinese government was successful in the reduction of particulate matter in urban areas from 2013 to 2017,although the ozone concentration has increased significantly;suggesting a more complex mechanism of improving Chinese air quality in the future.Yonghong Wang Wenkang Gao Shuai Wang Tao Song Zhengyu Gong Dongsheng Ji Lili Wang Zirui Liu Guiqian Tang Yanfeng Huo Shili Tian Jiayun Li Mingge Li Yuan Yang Biwu Chu Tuukka Petaja Veli-Matti Kerminen Hong He Jiming Hao Markku Kulmala Yuesi Wang Yuanhang Zhang 2020National Science Review2020,7,8:51

16Get effective polyclonal antisera in one month显示文摘According to the traditional immunization procedure, after the first injection of the sample A (emulsion of aimed antigen and Freund's complete adjuvant) to immunize rabbit, successive injections of the sample B (emulsion of aimed antigen and Freund's incomplete adjuvant) were followed every 2-4 weeks. In general,high titer of the corresponding polyclonal antisera will be observed after 4-5 injections of sample B in 3-4months. This report presents a simply modified procedure that was able to stimulate the antisera formation in one month and achieve enough avidity to satisfy either Western blot or immunohistochemistry analysis.It just applied an additional injection of the sample A to the rabbit at the 3rd day after the primary immunization injection. You could gain the high titer of the antisera right after the first sample B injection in one month. 17Apoptosis,proliferation and p53 gene expression of H.pylori associated gastric epithelial lesions显示文摘AIM: To study the relationship between Helicobacter pylori (H. Pylori) and gastric carcinoma and its possible pathogenesis by H. Pylori.METHODS: DNEL technique and immunohistochemical technique were used to study the state of apoptosis,proliferation and p53 gene expression. A total of 100 gastric mucosal biopsy specimens, including 20 normal mucosa, 30H. Pylori-negative and 30 H. Pylorf-positive gastric precancerous lesions along with 20 gastric carcinomas were studied.RESULTS: There were several apoptotic cells in the superficial epithelium and a few proliferative cells within the neck of gastric glands, and no p53 protein expression in normal mucosa. In gastric carcinoma, there were few apoptotic cells, while there were a large number of proliferative cells, and expression of p53 protein significantly was increased. In the phase of metaplasia, the apoptotic index (Al, 4.36% ± 1.95%), proliferative index (PI, 19.11% ± 6.79%) and positivity of p53 expression (46.7%) in H. Pylori-positive group were higher than those in normal mucosa (P< 0.01). Al in H. Pylori-positive group was higher than that in H. Pylori-negative group (3.81% ±1.76%), PI in H. Pylori-positive group was higher than that in H. Pylori-negative group (12.25% ±5.63%, P<0.01 ). In the phase of dysplasia, Al (2.31% ± 1.10%) in H. Pylori-positive group was lower (3.05% ± 1.29%) than that in H. Pylori-negative group, but PI (33.89% ± 11.65%)wassignificantly higher(22.09± 8018%, P< 0.01). In phases of metaplasia, dysplasia and gastric cancer in the H. Pylori-positive group, Als had an evidently graduall decreasing trend (P < 0.01 ), while Pis had an evidently gradual increasing trend (P< 0.05 or P< 0.01), and there was also a trend of gradual increase in the expression of p53 gene.CONCLUSION: In the course of the formation of gastric carcinoma, proliferation of gastric mucosa can be greatly increased by H. Pylori, and H. Pylori can induce apoptosis in the phase of metaplasia but in the phase of dysplasia H.pylori can inhibit cellular apoptosis. And H. 18Effect of subsoil tillage depth on nutrient accumulation, root distribution, and grain yield in spring maize显示文摘A four-year field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of subsoiling depth on root morphology, nitrogen(N), phosphorus(P), and potassium(K) uptake, and grain yield of spring maize. The results indicated that subsoil tillage promoted root development,increased nutrient accumulation, and increased yield. Compared with conventional soil management(CK), root length, root surface area, and root dry weight at 0–80 cm soil depth under subsoil tillage to 30 cm(T1) and subsoil tillage to 50 cm(T2) were significantly increased, especially the proportions of roots in deeper soil. Root length, surface area, and dry weight differed significantly among three treatments in the order of T2 > T1 > CK at the12-leaf and early filling stages. The range of variation of root diameter in different soil layers in T2 treatment was the smallest, suggesting that roots were more likely to grow downwards with deeper subsoil tillage in soil. The accumulation of N, P, and K in subsoil tillage treatment was significantly increased, but the proportions of kernel and straw were different. In a comparison of T1 with T2, the grain accumulated more N and P, while K accumulation in kernel and straw varied in different years. Grain yield and biomass were increased by 12.8% and 14.6% on average in subsoil tillage treatments compared to conventional soil treatment.
