| 1 | BDS triple-frequency carrier-phase linear combination models and their characteristics显示文摘An investigation has been made on the models and characteristics of triple-frequency carrier-phase linear combinations for the Bei Dou Navigation Satellite System(BDS). Based on the three frequencies of the BDS, three categories of combinations are developed: ionosphere-free combinations(i.e., those that eliminate the ionospheric effect), minimum-noise combinations(those that mitigate the effects of thermal noise and multiple paths), and troposphere-free combinations(those that mitigate tropospheric effects). Both the ionosphere-free and troposphere-free combinations can be expressed as planes, whereas the minimum-noise combinations can be expressed as a line. The relationships between these three categories of linear combinations are investigated from the perspective of geometry. The angle between the troposphere-free plane and ionosphere-free plane is small, while the angles between the troposphere-free plane and the minimum-noise line, and between the ionosphere-free plane and the minimum-noise line, are large. Specifically, the troposphere-free plane is orthogonal to the minimum-noise line. By introducing the concepts of lane number and integer ionosphere number, the characteristics of the long-wavelength integer combinations and ionosphere-free integer combinations are investigated. The analysis indicates that the longest wavelength that can be formed for integer combinations is 146.53 m, and the ionosphere-free integer combinations all have large noise amplification factors. The ionosphere-free integer combination with minimum noise amplification factor is(0, 62, 59). According to the lane number, integer ionosphere number, and noise amplification factor, optimal integer combinations with different characteristics are presented. | 2 | Study on the physiological indices of Pinus sibirica and Pinus koraiensis seedlings under cold stress显示文摘Although Pinus sibirica and Pinus koraiensis are resistant to cold or low temperatures in the cold temperate regions of the northern hemisphere,the former has a stronger cold resistance.Research has been limited to the comparison of physiological responses of the two species to cold stress.In this study,5-year-old seedlings of P.sibirica and P.koraiensis were subjected to six temperature treatments,[20℃(control),0℃,-20℃,-40℃,-60℃,and-80℃],under different stress periods(6,12,24,and 48 h).The results showed that differences in each physiological index were significant between P.sibirica and P.koraiensis,except for the permeability of cell membranes,reactive oxygen species,proline and soluble proteins.An ANOVA test indicated that there were extreme differences among the temperatures for each index,stress time and temperature 9 time for most indices.All indices showed a similar trend for P.sibirica and P.koraiensis with decreasing temperature or the extension of stress time.Soluble sugars and proline increased at 0 to-20℃and then remained unchanged with temperature decline.Other indices showed an increase from 20 to-20℃,stable from-20 to-40℃and a decrease from-40 to-80℃.All the indices increased and then declined along with the prolonged cold stress time,except for the control.From 0 to-40℃,the permeability of cell membranes,relative conductivity,reactive oxygen species and malonaldehyde of P.koraiensis seedlings were higher than in P.sibirica,but superoxide dismutase,peroxidase,catalase activity and soluble sugars,proline,and soluble proteins content emerged as opposite.This study compared the physiological mechanism responses to cold stress between P.sibirica and P.koraiensis to provide the basis for the introduction,distribution,and genetic improvement of these coniferous species. | Fang Wang Deyang Liang Xiaona Pei Qinhui Zhang Peng Zhang Jianqiu Zhang Zhimin Lu Yuchun Yang Guifeng Liu Xiyang Zhao | 2019 | Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,4: | 12 |
| 3 | Early evaluation of growth traits of Larix kaempferi clones显示文摘Early selection is an important method to shorten the breeding cycle for tree species, which may differ in the time for early selection.To evaluate the early selected time for Larix kaempferi, tree height and diameter at breast height of 57 L.kaempferi clones were measured over many different growth years.The results indicated that, except for age × clone interaction for diameter at breast height(P = 0.741), there were significant differences among all variation sources(P < 0.01).The coefficient of phenotypic variation ranged from 14.89 to 35.65%for height and from 19.17 to 23.86% for diameter at breast height in different growth years.The repeatability of height and of diameter at breast height among clones was high,ranging from 0.6181 to 0.8531(height) and from 0.8443 to0.8497(diameter at breast height), in different growth years.There were significant positive correlations between all pairs of growth traits except between height in the 2 nd growth year and height in the 30 th growth year; and between height in the 2 nd growth year × diameter at breast height in the 30 th growth year.With a comprehensive evaluation method and a selection ratio of 10%, L65,L1, L62, L9, L15, and L78 were selected as excellent clones in the 30 th growth year.Their average values of height and diameter at breast height were 9.81 and 16.57%higher than the overall average, representing genetic gains of 6.46 and 13.99%, respectively.This study provides a theoretical foundation for the genetic improvement of L.kaempferi. | Yanyan Pan Shuchun Li Chenglu Wang Wenjun Ma Guiyou Xu Lili Shao Kailong Li Xiyang Zhao Tingbo Jiang | 2018 | Journal of Forestry Research2018,29,4: | 10 |

| 5 | An isoflavone derivative potently inhibits the angiogenesis and progression of triple-negative breast cancer by targeting the MTA2/SerRS/VEGFA pathway显示文摘Objective:Angiogenesis plays a vital role in tumor growth and metastasis.Here,we aimed to find novel efficient antiangiogenic molecules targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGFA)at the transcriptional level to treat triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).Methods:We used a cell-based seryl tRNA synthetase(SerRS)promoter-driven dual-luciferase reporter system to screen an in-house library of 384 naturally occurring small molecules and their derivatives to find candidate molecules that could upregulate the expression of SerRS,a potent transcriptional repressor of VEGFA.The levels of SerRS and VEGFA were examined by quantitative RT-PCR(qRT-PCR),western blotting,and/or ELISAs in TNBC cells after candidate molecule administration.Zebrafish,the Matrigel plug angiogenesis assay in mice,the TNBC allograft,and xenograft mouse models were used to evaluate thein vivoanti-angiogenic and anti-cancer activities.Furthermore,the potential direct targets of the candidates were identified by proteomics and biochemical studies.Results:We found the most active compound was 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)quinolin-4(1H)-one(MEQ),an isoflavone derivative.In TNBC cells,MEQ treatment resulted in increased SerRS mRNA(P<0.001)and protein levels and downregulated VEGFA production.Both the vascular development of zebrafish and Matrigel plug angiogenesis in mice were inhibited by MEQ.MEQ also suppressed the angiogenesis in TNBC allografts and xenografts in mice,resulting in inhibited tumor growth and prolonged overall survival(P<0.05).Finally,we found that MEQ regulated SerRS transcription by interacting with MTA2(Metastasis Associated 1 Family Member 2).Conclusions:Our findings suggested that the MTA2/SerRS/VEGFA axis is a drug-treatable anti-angiogenic target,and MEQ is a promising anti-tumor molecule that merits further investigation for clinical applications. | Xiaotong Zhang Gengyi Zou Xiyang Li Lun Wang Tianyu Xie Jin Zhao Longlong Wang Shunchang Jiao Rong Xiang Haoyu Ye Yi Shi | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,3: | 6 |
| 6 | A high strength pH responsive supramolecular copolymer hydrogel显示文摘Constructing high strength pH sensitive supramolecular polymer hydrogel remains very challenging due to the unavoidable network swelling caused by ionization of acid or basic groups at a specified pH.In this work,we proposed a simple and very convenient approach to fabricate high strength pH responsive supramolecular polymer(SP) hydrogels by one-pot copolymerization of N-acryloyl glycinamide(NAGA) and 2-vinyl-4,6-diamino-1,3,5-triazine(VDT),two feature hydrogen bonding monomers.In these PNAGA-PVDT SP hydrogels obtained,the hydrogen bonding of NAGA was shown to play a dominant role in reinforcing strength,while the hydrogen bonding of diaminotriazine served as a pH sensitive moiety.At pH 3,the mechanical properties of PNAGA-PVDT hydrogels decreased to a different extent due to the breakup of hydrogen bonding;in contrast,the hydrogel resumed the original strength while pH was raised to 7.4 because of reconstruction of hydrogen bonding.Over the selected pH range,the PNAGA-PVDT hydrogels exhibited up to 1.25 MPa tensile strength,845% breaking strain,69 kPa Young's modulus and 21 MPa compressive strength.This novel high strength pH-responsive SP hydrogels may find applications in biomedical and industrial fields. | WANG Qing ZHANG YinYu DAI XiYang SHI XiaoHuan LIU WenGuang | 2017 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2017,60,1: | 6 |
| 7 | Variation analyses of growth and wood properties of Larix olgensis clones in China显示文摘The growth traits(tree height, diameter at breast height, and stem straightness degree) and wood properties[wood density(WD), fiber length, fiber width, ash content(AC), lignin content, cellulose content, hemicellulose content(HEC), and holocellulose content] of 208 26-yearold Larix olgensis clones were analyzed. Except for WD and AC, there were significant differences(p \ 0.01) for all traits among clones. The phenotypic coefficient of variation and repeatability of all traits were 9.34–35.33%and 0.218–0.930, respectively. Tree height and diameter at breast height showed significant positive correlation;however, the correlation coefficients among growth characteristics and wood properties were mostly not significant.Ten clones(L70, L56, L82, L90, L59, L91, L61, L92, L86,and L64) were selected as excellent clones under a selection rate of 5%, using tree height, diameter at breast height,and stem straightness degree as evaluation indexes, providing genetic gains of 28.69, 17.96, and 0.67%, respectively. Ten clones(L88, L305, L59, L66, L253, L304,L277, L298, L248, and L293) were selected as excellent clones using wood properties as an evaluation index, with a selection rate of 5%, providing genetic gains in WD, fiber length, fiber width, cellulose content, and HEC of 4.14,3.64, 9.28, 6.77, and 9.61%, respectively. | 8 | Genetic variation and selection of introduced provenances of Siberian Pine(Pinus sibirica) in frigid regions of the Greater Xing'an Range,Northeast China显示文摘Siberian Pine(Pinus sibirica) is an ecologically and economically important species in pristine forests throughout northern Russia. Four provenances of P. sibirica were introduced from Mongolia and Russia to the Greater Xing'an Range(the Daxing'anling), northeast China in 1993. The aim of this research was to study genetic variation and selection of the introduced four Pinus sibirica provenances. Heights(H), basal diameters(BD), survival rates(SR) and crown lengths(CL) of different families were measured as primary outcomes in different growth years. Results of data analyses demonstrated high coefficients of phenotypic variation(PCV) and heritability(H2) for H, BD and CL at 18 years after introduction. PCV and H2 increased with age. Correlations of growth traits between any two growth years were all significantly positive, but the correlation coefficient was smaller when the growth year interval was larger. Correlations between H and the original environment factors decreased gradually, indicating that with long-term subsistence in the new environment, the influence of the source environment declined. | 9 | Variation and selection analysis of Pinus koraiensis clones in northeast China显示文摘Understanding genetic variation is important for efficiently selecting excellent clones and utilizing genetic resources during tree breeding. We investigated 16 growth traits of 50 32-year-old Pinus koraiensis clones. Analyses of variance showed that all the test traits differed significantly among clones. Average height, diameter at breast height(DBH), and volume of all clones were 10.41 m, 21.30 cm,and 0.148 m3, respectively. Phenotypic coefficients of variation and repeatabilities of traits ranged from 4.37 to48.03% and from 0.013 to 0.900, respectively. There exists significant positive correlations among heights, diameter at different heights(1.3, 3.0, 5.0 m), and volumes; genetic correlation was close to phenotype correlation. Using four growth traits(height, DBH, volume, average crown width)as indices for a comprehensive evaluation, five clones(PK11, PK 19, PK 04, PK 14, and PK 28), whose traits scored in the top 10%, were selected as elite clones. For these clones,genetic gains in height, DBH, volume and crown height were 8.58, 13.02, 32.72 and 3.83%, respectively. | 10 | Growth and wood properties of a 38-year-old Populus simonii 3 P.nigra plantation established with different densities in semi-arid areas of northeastern China显示文摘To characterize the effects of plantation densities on the growth characteristics(diameter at breast level,tree height and volume)and the common wood properties,38-year-old Populus simonii 9 P.nigra clones planted with four levels of spacing(2 m 92 m,3 m 93 m,4 m 94 m,and 5 m 95 m)in a semi-arid area in northeastern China were examined.The results of ANOVA showed significant differences(P\0.01)for all the investigated growth traits and wood properties under different plantation densities,except for the chemical composition of wood.The repeatability and phenotypic variations of all the traits varied from 0.34 to 0.99 and from 13.45 to 59.65%,respectively.Except for wood density,which was significantly negatively correlated with the growth traits,a positive correlation was observed between the growth traits and all the other wood mechanical properties.However,most of the correlations between the growth traits and the chemical composition of the wood were not significant.The path analysis for the wood mechanical characteristics and the growth in the prediction of volume were significant and ranged from 0.18 to 0.72 for wood density and diameter at breast height,respectively,while those for the chemical composition of wood ranged from 0.001 to 0.336,which showed a low impact on the volume.The highest stand volume(610 m3)per hectare was observed with the 2 m 92 m spacing,which consequently provided a high total price and income,while a high individual volume growth per tree was observed with the 5 m 95 m spacing.The results suggested that for the poplar trees younger than 40 years in a semi-arid area in China,2 m 92 m spacing is suitable for obtaining a high volume per hectare,while 5 m 95 m spacing is best for obtaining a high individual volume per tree. | Ammar Khalil Mohamed Ahmed Zhixiang Fu Changjun Ding Luping Jiang Xidong Han Aiguo Yang Yinghui Ma Xiyang Zhao | 2020 | Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,2: | 6 |
| 11 | Progeny test of tetraploid Betula platyphylla and preliminary selection of hybrid parents显示文摘Estimating genetic parameters of parental lines through progeny testing and choosing good hybrid parents are important for genetically improving seed orchard trees.In this study, 24 tetraploid progeny seedlings were used as experimental materials, which came from test cross design:six tetraploid Betula platyphylla lines(Q33, Q13, Q103,Q19, Q83 and Q14) as female parents and four individual B. platyphylla diploid lines(F3, F4, F9 and F11) as male parents were crossed. Variance analysis of height, diameter, height-to-diameter ratio, and internodal distance showed that the differences between hybrid combinations reached highly significant levels. Using multi-objective decisionmaking, we performed a comprehensive assessment of the various hybrid combinations. Using a selection rate of 20 % of the standard, five hybrids were selected;their genetic gains in average height, diameter, height-todiameter ratio, and internodal distance were 20.95, 6.07,13.07 and 8.96 %, respectively. We also analyzed the combining ability and genetic parameter effect values of parents and hybrid combinations. The combined analysis revealed that Q13, Q103, Q33 and Q83 were superior females; F3, F4, and F9 were superior males; and F3 × Q13, F4 × Q83 and F9 × Q33 were superior hybrid combinations. | 12 | Removal of nitric oxide from simulated flue gas via denitrification in a hollow-fiber membrane bioreactor显示文摘A hollow-fiber membrane bioreactor(HMBR) was studied for its ability to treat nitric oxide(NO) from simulated flue gas. The HMBR was operated for 9 months and showed a maximum elimination capacity of 702 mg NO/(m2·day) with a removal efciency of 86%(gas residence time of 30 sec, inlet NO concentration of 2680 mg/m3, pH 8). Varying operation parameters were tested to determine the stability and response of the HMBR. Both the inlet NO concentration and gas residence time influenced the removal of NO in the HMBR. NO elimination capacity increased with an increase in inlet NO concentration or a shortening of gas residence time. Higher removal efciency of NO was obtained at a longer gas residence time or a lower inlet NO concentration. Microbial communities of the HMBR were sensitive to the variation in pH value and alkalescence corresponding to an optimum pH value of 8. In addition, NO elimination capacity and removal efciency were inversely proportional to the inlet oxygen concentration. Sulfur dioxide had no great influence on elimination capacity and removal efciency of NO. Product analysis was performed to study N2O and N2 production and confirmed that the majority of the microorganisms were denitrifying bacteria in the HMBR. | 13 | Enhanced CO catalytic oxidation by Sr reconstruction on the surface of LaxSr1-xCoO3-δ显示文摘Surface electronic structure of solid materials plays a critical role in heterogeneous catalysis. However,surface chemical composition of the perovskite oxides is usually dominated by segregated A-site cations and the amount of oxygen vacancies is relatively low, which seriously restricts their catalytic oxidation property. Here, we prepare perovskite La_xSr_(1-x)CoO_(3-δ)(x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.7) with different Sr doping amount and experiment results show that perovskite LSCO with higher content of surface Sr possesses more oxygen vacancies and better catalytic activity. On this basis, we develop a new experimental strategy to create more surface oxygen vacancies to promote their CO catalytic activity. In this method, we use high active hydrogen atoms(BH^(4-)) as reductant to realize surface in-situ chemical composite modification of La_xSr_(1-x)CoO_(3-δ)(x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.7), which causes their surface reconstruction(surface Sr enrichment).The regulation mainly focuses on the atomic layer level without damaging their bulk phase structure.Different from traditional high temperature annealing under reducing atmosphere, this method is high-efficiency, green and controllable. Furthermore, we study the surface reconstruction process and demonstrated that it is atomic layer engineering on the surface of La_xSr_(1-x)CoO_(3-δ)(x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.7) by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and X-ray absorption fine structure(XAFS). | 14 | Analysis of Commonly and Specifically Dysregulated Pathways in Three Women Cancers显示文摘Breast, ovarian and endometrial cancer are three most prevalent gynaecological malignancies. Identifying their common and specific biomarkers is significant for cancer prediction and therapy in females. We propose a method to identify dysregulated pathways in cancer through scoring pathways based on the molecular interaction data and genomic data. Commonly and specifically dysregulated pathways are analyzed across the above three female cancers, which have not been studied as a whole to the best of our knowledge. Our results demonstrate that all the three cancers have close relationships with Type II diabetes and cell cycle-related biology processes. Breast cancer is specifically related to immune system while ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer are associated with blood vascular-related systems such as renin-angiotensin system and coagulation system. | 16 | A Novel Ratio-Based Parallel DEA Approach for Evaluating the Energy and Environmental Performance of Chinese Transportation Sectors显示文摘As a high-energy-consumption and high-CO2-emission industry in China,the transportation sector has been under increasing pressure to improve its performance.This paper develops a novel parallel DEA approach to measure Chinese transportation sector's energy and environmental performance (EEP) over all possible weights,which is to avoid the risk of using the extreme or the most favorable weights in performance evaluation.In our method,the transportation sector is consisted of two parallel subsystems (passenger transportation and freight transportation) with shared inputs and undesirable shared outputs.All possible weights are considered in the EEP evaluation,then the EEP of a transportation sector is represented by a ranking interval.Finally,the proposed approach is applied to the transportation sectors in 30 Chinese provinces.Results show that the best and the worst ranking of most provinces vary greatly.Besides,the EEP of most provinces is hard to dominate others strictly,but the general tendency is the EEP of eastern provinces better than western provinces.Furthermore,the EEP difference of some adjacent provinces with similar features is distinct.These findings are not all the same as previous studies,which verifies the necessity of considering all possible weights in performance evaluation.Therefore,our method provides a new point of view in performance evaluation and can give more robust results for decision makers. | Xiyang Lei Lin Li Xuefei Zhang Qianzhi Dai Yelin Fu | 2019 | Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering2019,28,5: | 3 |

| 19 | Polyamines mediate the effect of post-anthesis soil drying on starch granule size distribution in wheat kernels显示文摘Polyamines(PAs) are important endogenous plant growth regulators responding to environmental stress and mediating many physiological processes including grain filling in cereals.This study investigated whether PAs mediate the effect of post-anthesis soil drying on starch granule size distribution,starch content,and weight of superior and inferior kernels of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).Two wheat cultivars were grown in pots.Three treatments,well-watered(WW),moderate soil drying(MD) and severe soil drying(SD),were imposed from 9 days post-anthesis until maturity.PA levels in kernels and small,medium and large granules were measured.The results showed that superior kernels had much higher free spermidine(Spd) and free spermine(Spm) concentrations,larger volumes of medium starch granules,and smaller-sized large granules than did inferior kernels under all the treatments.Compared to WW,MD significantly increased the concentrations of free Spd and free Spm,activities of soluble starch synthase and granule-bound starch synthase,volume of medium granules,and starch content and kernel weight of inferior kernels,and decreased the size of large granules.SD produced the opposite effect.Application of Spd or Spm to spikes produced effects similar to those of MD,and application of an inhibitor of Spd and Spm synthesis produced effects similar to those of SD.These results suggest that PAs mediate the effect of post-anthesis soil drying on starch biosynthesis in wheat kernels by regulating key enzymes in starch synthesis and that elevated PA levels under MD increase the volume of medium granules and kernel weight of inferior kernels. | Yunji Xu Mengting Qiu Yinyin Li Xiyang Qian Junfei Gu Jianchang Yang | 2016 | The Crop Journal2016,4,6: | 2 |
