1The zircon SHRIMP chronology and trace elementgeochemistry of the Carboniferous volcanic rocksin western Tianshan Mountains显示文摘The genesis of the Carboniferous volcanic rocks in the Dahalajunshan group, mainly consisting of trachytes and trachy-andesites and distributing widely in western Tianshan Mountains, remains to be controversial. It has been proposed to be relevant to “rift” or “plume”. Detailed pe-trology and geochemical data presented in this paper show that these volcanic rocks represent typical continental arc magmatism. The volcanic rocks are mainly trachy-andesitic, and the magma source is enriched in LILE, Th and Pb, and depleted in HFSE and Ce. Trace element geochemical study suggests that the basalts could be modeled by 7%-11% partial melt of garnet lherzolite. The volcanic rocks in the Dahala-junshan group are neither the products of “rift” nor so-called “plume” but represent the continental island arc of the Pa-leo-Southern Tianshan Ocean. The mantle wedge had been modified by the melt generating in subduction zone during a long evolution history of this island arc. The continental crust materials (i.e. mainly sediment on ocean floor) had been added into island arc through melt in subduction zone. Volcanic rocks occurring in different regions might represent magma eruption in different time. The zircon SHRIMP dat-ing indicates that the ages of the basalt varies between 334.0 Ma and 394.9 Ma. The 13 analyses give an average age of 353.7 ±4.5 Ma (MSWD = 1.7). The apparent ages of zircons in trachy-andesite vary between 293.0 Ma and 465.4 Ma. All analyses fall on the U-Pb concordant line and are divided into two groups. 8 analyses produce an average age of 312.8±4.2 Ma (MSWD = 1.7), which represents the crystal-lizing age of zircon rims in trachy-andesite. The acquired two ages (i.e. 354 and 313 Ma) belong to the Early Carboniferous and Late Carboniferous epochs, respectively. 2Traditional Chinese medicine integrated with chemotherapy for stage Ⅳ non-surgical gastric cancer: a retrospective clinical analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) is regarded as an important treatment for gastric cancer patients, especially for those in advanced stage. To evaluate the effects of TCM treatment on gastric cancer patients, the authors performed a retrospective study to report the result of the integrated treatment of TCM with chemotherapy for stage IV non-surgical gastric cancer.METHODS: In this study, 182 patients with stage IV and non-surgical gastric cancer were retrospectively analyzed to evaluate the effects of TCM integrated with chemotherapy. Among the 182 cases, 88 cases received integrated therapy consisting of TCM and chemotherapy, while 94 cases received chemotherapy alone. The overall survival and Karnofsky performance status(KPS) score were measured as the main outcome.RESULTS: The median overall survival of the integrated therapy group and chemotherapy group were 16.9 and 10.5 months, respectively. The 1-, 3-and 5-year survival rates of integrated therapy group vs. chemotherapy group were 70% vs. 32%, 18% vs. 4%, and 11% vs. 0%, respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups(χ2 = 42.244, P < 0.001). After six-month treatment, KPS scores of the integrated therapy group and the chemotherapy group were 75.00 ± 14.78 and 60.64 ± 21.39, respectively(P < 0.001). The Cox regression analysis showed that TCM treatment is a protective factor for patients' overall survival. 3Recent development of a refined multiple air pollutant emission inventory of vehicles in the Central Plains of China显示文摘Central Plains region of China,represented by Henan Province,is facing serious air pollution problems.Vehicular exhaust emissions had adverse impacts on the atmospheric environment.The first comprehensive and novel vehicle emission inventory for Henan Province using vehicle kilometers traveled,localized emission factors,and activity data at city-level was developed.Furthermore,3 km×3 km gridded emission and temporal variations were determined by using localized information.Results show that the total emissions of sulfur dioxide(SO2),nitrogen oxides(NOx),carbon monoxide(CO),particular matter with aerodynamic diameter<10μm(PM10),aerodynamic diameter<2.5μm(PM2.5),volatile organic compounds(VOCs),VOCs-evaporation and ammonia in 2015 were 9.1,533.4,1190.7,23.7,21.6,150.8,31.5 and 10.4 Gg,respectively,and the emission intensities of the above pollutants were 0.05,2.7,6.0,0.1,0.1,0.8,0.2 and 0.05 g/km,respectively.Vehicles meeting the Primary China 1,China 3 and China 4 contributed 89.1%,82.7%,75.3%,75.5%,75.5%,68.2%,68.4%and 82.3%for SO2,NOx,CO,PM10,PM2.5,VOCs,VOCs-evaporation and ammonia emissions,respectively.Zhengzhou,Zhoukou,Nanyang,Luoyang,Shangqiu and Xinyang showed relatively higher emissions and contributed more than 50%of each pollutant.The spatial distribution indicated obvious characteristics of the road network,and high-level emission was concentrated in the downtown areas.Additionally,the ozone formation potential(OFP)based on the estimated speciated VOC emissions was 569.6 Gg in Henan Province.Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons were the main species of VOCs,whereas olefins contributed the largest proportion of OFP,with 42.2%.Xingke Gu Shasha Yin Xuan Lu Huan Zhang Lingling Wang Ling Bai Chen Wang Ruiqin Zhang Minghao Yuan 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10:11
4Concurrent topology optimization for minimization of total mass considering load-carrying capabilities and thermal insulation simultaneously显示文摘The present work introduces a novel concurrent optimization formulation to meet the requirements of lightweight design and various constraints simultaneously.Nodal displacement of macrostructure and effective thermal conductivity of microstructure are regarded as the constraint functions, which means taking into account both the loadcarrying capabilities and the thermal insulation properties.The effective properties of porous material derived from numerical homogenization are used for macrostructural analysis. Meanwhile, displacement vectors of macrostructures from original and adjoint load cases are used for sensitivity analysis of the microstructure. Design variables in the form of reciprocal functions of relative densities are introduced and used for linearization of the constraint function. The objective function of total mass is approximately expressed by the second order Taylor series expansion. Then, the proposed concurrent optimization problem is solved using a sequential quadratic programming algorithm, by splitting into a series of sub-problems in the form of the quadratic program. Finally, several numerical examples are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed optimization method. The various effects including initial designs, prescribed limits of nodal displacement, and effective thermal conductivity on optimized designs are also investigated. 5Longitudinal Alterations of Local Spontaneous Brain Activity in Parkinson's Disease显示文摘We used resting-state fMRI to evaluate longitudinal alterations in local spontaneous brain activity in Parkinson's disease(PD) over a 2-year period. Data were acquired from 23 PD patients at baseline and follow-up,and 27 age-and sex-matched normal controls. Regional homogeneity(ReHo) and voxel-based-morphometry(VBM) were used to identify differences in local spontaneous brain activity and grey matter volume. With disease progression, we observed a progressive decrease in ReHo in the sensorimotor cortex, default-mode network, and left cerebellum, but increased ReHo in the supplementary motor area, bilateral temporal gyrus, and hippocampus.Moreover, there was a significant positive correlation between the rates of ReHo change in the left cerebellum and the rates of change in the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale-III scores. VBM revealed no significant differences in the grey matter volume among the three sets of acquisitions. 8Autophagy enhanced by curcumin ameliorates inflammation in atherogenesis via the TFEB-P300-BRD4 axis显示文摘Disturbance of macrophage-associated lipid metabolism plays a key role in atherosclerosis.Crosstalk between autophagy deficiency and inflammation response in foam cells(FCs) through epigenetic regulation is still poorly understood. Here, we demonstrate that in macrophages, oxidized lowdensity lipoprotein(ox-LDL) leads to abnormal crosstalk between autophagy and inflammation,thereby causing aberrant lipid metabolism mediated through a dysfunctional transcription factor EB (TFEB)-P300-bromodomain-containing protein 4(BRD4) axis. ox-LDL led to macrophage autophagy deficiency along with TFEB cytoplasmic accumulation and increased reactive oxygen species generation. This activated P300 promoted BRD4 binding on the promoter regions of inflammatory genes, consequently contributing to inflammation with atherogenesis. Particularly, ox-LDL activated BRD4-dependent super-enhancer associated with liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS) on the regulatory regions of inflammatory genes. Curcumin(Cur) prominently restored FCs autophagy by promoting TFEB nuclear translocation, optimizing lipid catabolism, and reducing inflammation. The consequences of P300 and BRD4 on super-enhancer formation and inflammatory response in FCs could be prevented by Cur. Furthermore, the anti-atherogenesis effect of Cur was inhibited by macrophage-specific Brd4 overexpression or Tfeb knock-out in Apoe knock-out mice via bone marrow transplantation. 9Iterative Solution of Regularization to Ill-conditioned Problems in Geodesy and Geophysics显示文摘In geodesy and geophysics,many large-scale over-determined linear equations need to be solved which are often ill-conditioned.When the conjugate gradient method is used,their ill-conditioning effects to the solutions must be overcome,which is studied in this paper.Through the regularization ideas,the conjugate gradient method is improved,and the regularization iterative solution based on controlling condition number is put forward.Firstly by constructing the interference source vector,a new equation is derived with ill-condition diminished greatly,which has the same solution to the original normal equation.Then the new equation is solved by conjugate gradient method.Finally the effectiveness of the new method is verified by some numerical experiments of airborne gravity downward to the earth surface.In the numerical experiments the new method is compared with LS,CG and Tikhonov methods,and its accuracy is the highest.Yongwei GU Qingming GUI Xuan ZHANG Songhui HAN 2019Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2019,2,1:4
10Wikstroelide M potently inhibits HIV replication by targeting reverse transcriptase and integrase nuclear translocation显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the anti-HIV activity and mechanism of action of wikstroelide M,a daphnane diterpene from Daphne acutiloba Rehder(Thymelaeaceae).METHOD:The anti-HIV activities of wikstroelide M against different HIV strains were evaluated by cytopathic effect assay and p24 quantification assay with ELISA.The inhibitory effect of wikstroelide M on HIV reverse transcription was analyzed by real-time PCR and ELISA.The effect of wikstroelide M on HIV-1 integrase nuclear translocation was observed with a cell-based imaging assay.The effect of wikstroelide M on LEDGF/p75-IN interaction was assayed by molecular docking.RESULTS:Wikstroelide M potently inhibited different HIV-1 strains,including HIV-1IIIB,HIV-1A17,and HIV-19495,induced a cytopathic effect,with EC50 values ranging from 3.81 to 15.65 ng·mL-1.Wikstroelide M also had high inhibitory activities against HIV-2ROD and HIV-2CBL-20-induced cytopathic effects with EC50 values of 18.88 and 31.90 ng·mL-1.The inhibitory activities of wikstroelide M on the three HIV-1 strains were further confirmed by p24 quantification assay,with EC50 values ranging from 15.16 to 35.57 ng·mL-1.Wikstroelide M also potently inhibited HIV-1IIIB induced cytolysis in MT-4 cells,with an EC50 value of 9.60 ng·mL-1.The mechanistic assay showed that wikstroelide M targeted HIV-1 reverse transcriptase and nuclear translocation of integrase through disrupting the interaction between integrase and LEDGF/p75.CONCLUSION:Wikstroelide M may be a potent HIV-1 and HIV-2 inhibitor,the mechanisms of action may include inhibition of reverse trascriptase activity and inhibition of integrase nuclear translocation through disrupting the interaction between integrase and LEDGF/p75.ZHANG Xuan HUANG Sheng-Zhuo GU Wan-Gang YANG Liu-Meng CHEN Huan ZHENG Chang-Bo ZHAO You-Xing WAN David Chi-Cheong ZHENG Yong-Tang 2014Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2014,12,3:3
11Releasing of Cupric Ion of Three types of Copper-bearing Intrauterine Contraceptive Device in Simulated UterineFluid显示文摘Objective To compare the cupric ion releasing in vitro of the three IUDs.Methods The stability of cupric ion releasing of IUDs including TCu 380A IUD(TCu 380A),Multiload Cu375 IUD(MCu 375)and Yuangong 365 copper-bearing indomethacin-releasing IUD(Yuangong 365)by the determination of cupric ion releasing in simulated uterine fluid.The simulated uterine fluid was used for releasing media.Copper ion was determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometer.Results The cupric ion releasing of three IUDs were instable at the beginning and tend to be stable gradually.In the stable phase,the average level of cupric ion releas-ing of TCu380A,MCu375 and Yuangong 365 were 4.25±2.71-7.62±6.42 μg,4.92±1.23-8.62±3.08 μg and 2.19±0.40-4.68±1.66 μg,respectively.TCu380A had higher instable releasing level than those of Yuangong 365(P<0.05).Conclusion TCu 380A and MCu 375 showed a 'burst release' during the first few days and the former was of great significance(P<0.05).The initial cupric ion releas-ing of Yuangong 365 appeared to be the lowest,followed by MCu375 and TCu380A in a releasing order.Jie GAO Ying LI Jian-ping LIU Xuan GU 2007Journal of Reproduction and Contraception2007,18,1:3

14Higher infliximab and adalimumab trough levels are associated with fistula healing in patients with fistulising perianal Crohn’s disease显示文摘BACKGROUND Tumor necrosis factor-alpha inhibitors,including infliximab and adalimumab,are effective medical treatments for perianal fistulising Crohn’s disease(CD),but not all patients achieve fistula healing.AIM To determine the correlation between perianal fistula healing and closure with infliximab and adalimumab trough levels.METHODS In this multicentre retrospective study conducted across four tertiary inflammatory bowel disease centres in Australia,we identified CD patients with perianal fistulae on maintenance infliximab or adalimumab who had a trough level within twelve weeks of clinical assessment.Data collected included demographics,serum infliximab and adalimumab trough levels(mg/L)within 12 wk before or after their most recent clinical assessment and concomitant medical or surgical therapy.The primary outcome was fistula healing,defined as cessation in fistula drainage.The secondary outcome was fistula closure,defined as healing and closure of all external fistula openings.Differences between patients who did or did not achieve fistula healing were compared using the chi-square test,t test or Mann-Whitney U test.RESULTS One hundred and fourteen patients(66 infliximab,48 adalimumab)were included.Forty-eight(72.7%)patients on maintenance infliximab achieved fistula healing and 18(27.3%)achieved fistula closure.Thirty-seven(77%)patients on maintenance adalimumab achieved fistula healing and 17(35.4%)achieved fistula closure.Patients who achieved fistula healing had significantly higher infliximab and adalimumab trough levels than patients who did not[infliximab:6.4(3.8-9.5)vs 3.0(0.3-6.2)mg/L,P=0.003;adalimumab:9.2(6.5-12.0)vs 5.4(2.5-8.3)mg/L,P=0.004].For patients on infliximab,fistula healing was associated with lower rates of detectable anti-infliximab antibodies and younger age.For patients on adalimumab,fistula healing was associated with higher rates of combination therapy with an immunomodulator.Serum trough levels for patients with and without fistula closure were not significantly different for infliximab[6.9(4.3-10.2)vs 5.5(2.5-8.3)mg/L,P=0.105]or adalimumab[10.0(6.6-12.0)vs 7.8(4.2-10.0)mg/L,P=0.083].CONCLUSION Higher maintenance infliximab and adalimumab trough levels are associated with perianal fistula healing in CD.Bonita Gu Kavya Venkatesh Astrid-Jane Williams Watson Ng Crispin Corte Ali Gholamrezaei Simon Ghaly Wei Xuan Sudarshan Paramsothy Susan Connor 2022World Journal of Gastroenterology2022,28,23:2
15Melatonin ameliorates bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis via activating NRF2 and inhibiting galectin-3 expression显示文摘Pulmonary fibrosis(PF)is a chronic interstitial lung disease with no effective therapies.Galectin-3(Gal-3),a marker of oxidative stress,plays a key role in the pathogenesis of PF.Fibroblast-myofibroblast differentiation(FMD)is an important source of fibrotic cells in PF.Previous studies showed that melatonin(MT)exerted anti-fibrotic effect in many diseases including PF through its antioxidant activity.In the present study we investigated the relationships among Gal-3,NRF2,ROS in FMD and their regulation by MT.We established an in vitro model of FMD in TGF-β1-treated human fetal lung fibroblast1(HFL1)cells and a PF mouse model via bleomycin(BLM)intratracheal instillation.We found that Gal-3 expression was significantly increased both in vitro and in vivo.Knockdown of Gal-3 in HFL1 cells markedly attenuated TGF-β1-induced FMD process and ROS accumulation.In TGF-β1-treated HFL1 cells,pretreatment with NRF2-specific inhibitor ML385(5μM)significantly increased the levels of Gal-3,α-SMA and ROS,suggesting that the expression of Gal-3 was regulated by NRF2.Treatment with NRF2-activator MT(250μM)blockedα-SMA and ROS accumulation accompanied by reduced Gal-3 expression.In BLM-induced PF model,administration of MT(5 mg·kg^(−1)·d^(−1),ip for 14 or 28 days)significantly attenuated the progression of lung fibrosis through up-regulating NRF2 and down-regulating Gal-3 expression in lung tissues.These results suggest that Gal-3 regulates TGF-β1-induced pro-fibrogenic responses and ROS production in FMD,and MT activates NRF2 to block FMD process by down-regulating Gal-3 expression.This study provides a useful clue for a clinical strategy to prevent PF.Yue-jiao Lan Ming-han Cheng Hui-min Ji Yu-qian Bi Yong-yue Han Chong-yang Yang Xuan Gu Jian Gao Hong-liang Dong 2023Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2023,44,5:2
16RF design and study of a 325 MHz 7 Me V APF IH-DTL for an injector of a proton medical accelerator显示文摘A compact interdigital H-mode drift-tube linac (IH-DTL) with the alternating-phase-focusing (APF) method, working at 325 MHz was designed for an injector of a proton medical accelerator. When fed in with a proper RF (radio frequency) power, the DTL cavity could establish the corresponding electromagnetic field to accelerate the ‘‘proton bunches’’ from an input energy of 3 MeV to an output energy of 7 MeV successfully, without any additional radial focusing elements. The gap-voltage distribution which was obtained from the CST■ Microwave Studio software simulations of the axial electric field was compared with that from the beam dynamics, and the errors met the requirements within ± 5%. 17Measurement of the neutron total cross section of carbon at the Back-n white neutron beam of CSNS显示文摘To verify the performance of the neutron total cross-sectional spectrometer, the neutron total cross section of carbon is initially measured in the energy range of 1 eV to 20 MeV using the time-of-flight method. The measurement is performed at the Back-n white neutron source with a 76-m time-of-flight path using the China Spallation Neutron Source. A multilayer fast fission chamber with 235U and 238U is employed as the neutron detector. The diameter and thickness of the natural graphite sample are 70 mm and 40 mm, respectively. Signal waveforms are collected using a data acquisition system. Off-line data processing was used to obtain the neutron time-of-flight spectra and transmissions. The uncertainty of the counting statistics is generally approximately 3% for each bin in the energy range of 1–20 MeV. It is determined that the results for the neutron total cross section of carbon obtained using ^235U cells are in good agreement with the results obtained using 238U cells within limits of statistical uncertainty. 18A multiple-tissue-specific magnetic resonance imaging model for diagnosing Parkinson’s disease: a brain radiomics study显示文摘Brain radiomics can reflect the characteristics of brain pathophysiology.However,the value of T1-weighted images,quantitative susceptibility mapping,and R2*mapping in the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease(PD)was underestimated in previous studies.In this prospective study to establish a model for PD diagnosis based on brain imaging information,we collected high-resolution T1-weighted images,R2*mapping,and quantitative susceptibility imaging data from 171 patients with PD and 179 healthy controls recruited from August 2014 to August 2019.According to the inclusion time,123 PD patients and 121 healthy controls were assigned to train the diagnostic model,while the remaining 106 subjects were assigned to the external validation dataset.We extracted 1408 radiomics features,and then used data-driven feature selection to identify informative features that were significant for discriminating patients with PD from normal controls on the training dataset.The informative features so identified were then used to construct a diagnostic model for PD.The constructed model contained 36 informative radiomics features,mainly representing abnormal subcortical iron distribution(especially in the substantia nigra),structural disorganization(e.g.,in the inferior temporal,paracentral,precuneus,insula,and precentral gyri),and texture misalignment in the subcortical nuclei(e.g.,caudate,globus pallidus,and thalamus).The predictive accuracy of the established model was 81.1±8.0%in the training dataset.On the external validation dataset,the established model showed predictive accuracy of 78.5±2.1%.In the tests of identifying early and drug-naïve PD patients from healthy controls,the accuracies of the model constructed on the same 36 informative features were 80.3±7.1%and 79.1±6.5%,respectively,while the accuracies were 80.4±6.3%and 82.9±5.8%for diagnosing middle-to-late PD and those receiving drug management,respectively.The accuracies for predicting tremor-dominant and non-tremor-dominant PD were 79.8±6.9%and 79.1±6.5%,respectively.In conclusion,the multiple-tissue-specific brain radiomics model constructed from magnetic resonance imaging has the ability to discriminate PD and exhibits the advantages for improving PD diagnosis.Xiao-Jun Guan Tao Guo Cheng Zhou Ting Gao Jing-Jing Wu Victor Han Steven Cao Hong-Jiang Wei Yu-Yao Zhang Min Xuan Quan-Quan Gu Pei-Yu Huang Chun-Lei Liu Jia-Li Pu Bao-Rong Zhang Feng Cui Xiao-Jun Xu Min-Ming Zhang 2022Neural Regeneration Research2022,17,12:2
