| 2 | Comparison ofβ-Amyloid Plaque Labeling Methods:Antibody Staining,Gallyas Silver Staining,and Thioflavin-S Staining显示文摘Objective To evaluate senile plaque formation and compare the sensitivity of three differentβ-amyloid(Aβ)labeling methods(antibody staining,Gallyas silver staining,and thioflavin-S staining)to detect Aβdeposition.Methods APPswe/PSEN1dE9 transgenic mice(APP/PS1)of different ages were used to examine spatiotemporal changes in Aβplaque deposition.Antibody staining,Gallyas silver staining,and thioflavin-S staining were used to detect Aβplaque deposition in the same brain region of adjacent slices from model mice,and the results were compared.Results With aging,Aβplaques first appeared in the cortex and then the deposition increased throughout the whole brain.Significantly greater plaque deposition was detected by 6E10 antibody than that analyzed with Gallyas silver staining or thioflavin-S staining(P<0.05).Plaque deposition did not show significant difference between the APP/PS1 mice brains assayed with Gallyas silver staining and ones with thioflavin-S staining(P=0.0033).Conclusions The APP/PS1 mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease could mimick the progress of Aβplaques occurred in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.Antibody detection of Aβdeposition may be more sensitive than chemical staining methods. | Xinze Shi Xuan Wei Longze Sha Qi Xu | 2018 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,3: | 1 |

| 8 | Online ultrasonic terminal for measuring pig backfat thickness显示文摘The measurement of pig backfat thickness(PBFT)has to stand up to challenges with the reliability,accuracy,and convenience.Acquiring PBFT timely and precisely from a finite distance is extremely necessary to improve the process of pig production and implement effective management.In an attempt to alleviate these problems,an online handheld terminal was designed with a new method based on ultrasonic technology for measuring PBFT during the process of pig breeding,which can overcome the difficulties encountered in other destructive means.The terminal comprised three main components:a main microcontroller unit(MCU)to measure PBFT,a RFID module to identify each pig and send data(e.g.identity,measurement time and PBFT)to a server via wireless transmission module,and an ultrasonic transducer to drive and receive signals between them.A measurement error within 0-1 mm was acquired through testing three groups of samples.Results indicated that this handheld terminal had a required accuracy and proved that the ultrasonic wave processing method can be deployed in a mobile terminal for PBFT measurement.It also provided a feasible nondestructive alternative to measure PBFT.Associated with information management software platform,this method may ultimately help pig production farmers measure the PBFT accurately and conveniently,and improve the pig production efficiency. | Ganghong Zhang Wanlin Gao Sha Tao Lina Yu Guofeng Zhang Xuan Luo | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,2: | 1 |
| 9 | Free-radical evolution and decay in cross-linked polytetrafluoroethylene irradiated by gamma-rays显示文摘Electron spin resonance techniques were employed to investigate the effects of the absorbed dose and post-irradiation conditions on the evolution and decay of free-radicals in cross-linked polytetrafluoroethylene(XPTFE),induced byγ-ray radiation.Chain-end free-radicals,chain alkyl free-radicals,and tertiary alkyl free-radicals were detected when XPTFE was irradiated under Ar atmosphere.The corresponding peroxy free-radicals were formed upon exposure of irradiated XPTFE to air;the freeradicals concentration first increased linearly with increasing absorbed dose and then gradually saturated.The free-radicals yield under air atmosphere was greater than that under Ar,and the peroxy free-radicals were preserved for a relatively long time when irradiated XPTFE was stored under air atmosphere.The chain alkyl free-radicals may be converted to chain end free-radicals byβ-scission,while chain end free-radicals are more sensitive to oxygen than chain alkyl free-radicals.When the annealing temperature was raised above the a-transition temperature of XPTFE,the decay of the free-radicals was greatly affected and accelerated by the motion of the molecules over the long range. | Fei-Xiang Sha Guo-Jun Cheng Zi-Yue Xuan Yang Liu Wei-Hua Liu Xiao-Dong Zhang Zhong-Feng Tang | 2022 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2022,33,5: | 0 |

| 12 | Improved simulation of winter wheat yield in North China Plain by using PRYM-Wheat integrated dry matter distribution coefficient显示文摘The accurate simulation of regional-scale winter wheat yield is important for national food security and the balance of grain supply and demand in China.Presently,most remote sensing process models use the“biomass×harvest index(HI)”method to simulate regional-scale winter wheat yield.However,spatiotemporal differences in HI contribute to inaccuracies in yield simulation at the regional scale.Time-series dry matter partition coefficients(Fr)can dynamically reflect the dry matter partition of winter wheat.In this study,Fr equations were fitted for each organ of winter wheat using site-scale data.These equations were then coupled into a process-based and remote sensingdriven crop yield model for wheat(PRYM-Wheat)to improve the regional simulation of winter wheat yield over the North China Plain(NCP).The improved PRYM-Wheat model integrated with the fitted Fr equations(PRYM-Wheat-Fr)was validated using data obtained from provincial yearbooks.A 3-year(2000-2002)averaged validation showed that PRYM-Wheat-Fr had a higher coefficient of determination(R^(2)=0.55)and lower root mean square error(RMSE=0.94 t ha^(-1))than PRYM-Wheat with a stable HI(abbreviated as PRYM-Wheat-HI),which had R^(2) and RMSE values of 0.30 and 1.62 t ha^(-1),respectively.The PRYM-Wheat-Fr model also performed better than PRYM-Wheat-HI for simulating yield in verification years(2013-2015).In conclusion,the PRYM-Wheat-Fr model exhibited a better accuracy than the original PRYM-Wheat model,making it a useful tool for the simulation of regional winter wheat yield. | Xuan Li Shaowen Wang Yifan Chen Danwen Zhang Shanshan Yang Jingwen Wang Jiahua Zhang Yun Bai Sha Zhang | 2024 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,4: | 0 |

| 14 | Y-box protein-1 modulates circSPECC1 to promote glioma tumorigenesis via miR-615-5p/HIP1/AKT axis显示文摘Y-box binding protein-1(YB-1)is upregulated in glioma and plays an important role in its occurrence and drug resistance.However,the involved regulatory processes and downstream pathways are still unclear.Since various circular RNAs(circRNAs)and microRNAs(miRNAs)also play roles in the pathogenesis of glioma,we hypothesize that YB-1 may exert its function through a circRNA-miRNA-protein interaction network.In this study,we use the RNA binding protein immunoprecipitation assay and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction to determine the circRNAs involved in the regulation of YB-1 and further elucidate their biological functions.The level of circSPECC1(hsa_circ_0000745)modulated by YB-1 is significantly upregulated in the U251 and U87 glioma cell lines.Downregulation of circSPECC1 markedly inhibits the proliferation and invasiveness of U251 and U87 cells by inducing apoptosis.Bioinformatics analysis reveals that miR-615-5p could interact with circSPECC1 and huntingtin-interacting protein-1(HIP-1).Then we determine the interactions between miR-615-5p,circSPECC1,and HIP1 using dual luciferase reporter system and pull-down assays.Mechanistic analysis indicates that the downregulation of circSPECC1 results in a decreased HIP1 expression.This study demonstrates that circSPECC1 modulated by YB-1 is increased in glioma cell lines.In addition,circSPECC1 promotes glioma growth through the upregulation of HIP1 by sponging miR-615-5p and targeting the HIP1/AKT pathway.This indicates that YB-1 and circSPECC1 may both be promising targets for glioma treatment. | Ping Lan Meihe Li Ying Wang Jingwen Wang Luyao Li Sha Zhang Xuan Zhang Caihong Ran Jin Zheng Huilin Gong | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,12: | 0 |
