Towards 6G wireless communication networks:vision, enabling technologies, and new paradigm shifts显示文摘The fifth generation(5G)wireless communication networks are being deployed worldwide from 2020 and more capabilities are in the process of being standardized, such as mass connectivity,ultra-reliability,and guaranteed low latency.However,5G will not meet all requirements of the future in 2030 and beyond, and sixth generation(6G)wireless communication networks are expected to provide global coverage, enhanced spectral/energy/cost efficiency, better intelligence level and security, etc. To meet these requirements,6G networks will rely on new enabling technologies,i.e.,air interface and transmission technologies and novel network architecture, such as waveform design, multiple access, channel coding schemes,multi-antenna technologies, network slicing,cell-free architecture, and cloud/fog/edge computing. Our vision on 6G is that it will have four new paradigm shifts.First,to satisfy the requirement of global coverage,6G will not be limited to terrestrial communication networks, which will need to be complemented with non-terrestrial networks such as satellite and unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)communication networks, thus achieving a space-airground-sea integrated communication network.Second, all spectra will be fully explored to further increase data rates and connection density, including the sub-6GHz,millimeter wave(mmWave),terahertz(THz),and optical frequency bands.Third, facing the big datasets generated by the use of extremely heterogeneous networks, diverse communication scenarios, large numbers of antennas, wide bandwidths, and new service requirements,6G networks will enable a new range of smart applications with the aid of artificial intelligence(AI)and big data technologies.Fourth, network security will have to be strengthened when developing 6G networks. This article provides a comprehensive survey of recent advances and future trends in these four aspects.Clearly,6G with additional technical requirements beyond those of 5G will enable faster and further communications to the extent that the boundary between physical and cyber worlds disappears.Xiaohu YOU Cheng-Xiang WANG Jie HUANG Xiqi GAO Zaichen ZHANG Mao WANG Yongming HUANG Chuan ZHANG Yanxiang JIANG Jiaheng WANG Min ZHU Bin SHENG Dongming WANG Zhiwen PAN Pengcheng ZHU Yang YANG Zening LIU Ping ZHANG Xiaofeng TAO Shaoqian LI Zhi CHEN Xinying MA Chih-Lin I Shuangfeng HAN Ke LI Chengkang PAN Zhimin ZHENG Lajos HANZO Xuemin(Sherman)SHEN Yingjie Jay GUO Zhiguo DING Harald HAAS Wen TONG Peiying ZHU Ganghua YANG Jun WANG Erik GLARSSON Hien Quoc NGO Wei HONG Haiming WANG Debin HOU Jixin CHEN Zhe CHEN Zhangcheng HAO Geoffrey Ye LI Rahim TAFAZOLLI Yue GAO HVincent POOR Gerhard P.FETTWEIS Ying-Chang LIANG 2021Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,1:122
Energy-Theft Detection Issues for Advanced Metering Infrastructure in Smart Grid显示文摘With the proliferation of smart grid research, the Advanced Metering Infrastructure(AMI) has become the first ubiquitous and fixed computing platform. However, due to the unique characteristics of AMI,such as complex network structure,resource-constrained smart meter, and privacy-sensitive data,it is an especially challenging issue to make AMI secure. Energy theft is one of the most important concerns related to the smart grid implementation. It is estimated that utility companies lose more than $25 billion every year due to energy theft around the world. To address this challenge,in this paper,we discuss the background of AMI and identify major security requirements that AMI should meet. Specifically,an attack tree based threat model is first presented to illustrate the energy-theft behaviors in AMI. Then,we summarize the current AMI energy-theft detection schemes into three categories,i.e.,classification-based,state estimation-based,and game theory-based ones, and make extensive comparisons and discussions on them. In order to provide a deep understanding of security vulnerabilities and solutions in AMI and shed light on future research directions,we also explore some open challenges and potential solutions for energy-theft detection.Rong Jiang Rongxing Lu Ye Wang Jun Luo Changxiang Shen Xuemin(Sherman) Shen 2014Tsinghua Science and Technology2014,19,2:22
THF_1 mutations lead to increased basal and wound-induced levels of oxylipins that stimulate anthocyanin biosynthesis via COI_1 signaling in Arabidopsis显示文摘Mutants defective in chloroplast development or photosynthesis are liable to accumulate higher levels of anthocyanin in photo-oxidative stress. However, regulatory mechanisms of anthocyanin biosynthesis in the mutants remain unclear. Here,we investigated the mechanism by which the deletion of thylakoid formation1(THF1) leads to an increased level of anthocyanin in Arabidopsis thaliana L.Physiological and genetic evidence showed that the increased level of anthocyanin in thf1 is dependent on coronatine-insensitive1(COM)signaling.Our data showed that thf1 had higher levels of basalα-linolenic acid(α-LeA),and methyl jasmonate(JA)-induced α-LeA and 12-oxophytodienoic acid(OPDA) than the wild type(WT).Consistently, expression levels of phospholipase genes including pPLAIIα and PLA-Iγ1 were elevated in thf1.Furthermore,inhibition of lipase activity by bromoenol lactone,a specific inhibitor of plant pPLA,led to producing identical levels of anthocyanins in WT and thf1 plants.Interestingly,OPDA biosynthesis was triggered by light illumination in isolated chloroplasts, indicating that new protein import into chloroplasts is not required for OPDA biosynthesis. Thus,we conclude that the elevated anthocyanin accumulation in thf1 is attributed to an increase in JA levels. This JA-mediated signaling to coordinate plant metabolism and growth in stress may be conserved in other photosensitive mutants.Yi Gan Hong Li Ye Xie Wenjuan Wu Maoyin Li Xuemin Wang Jirong Huang 2014Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2014,56,9:8
CFD-Based Optimization of Hot Primary-Air Pipe Networks in Power Plant Milling Systems显示文摘A hot primary-air pipe system is the bridge connecting an air-preheater with a coal mill in power generation stations. The effective geometrical configuration of the pipe network greatly affects the air flow distribution and consequently influences the safe and economic operation of milling systems in power stations. In order to improve the properties of the air flow,in the present work the SIMPLEC method is used to simulate numerically the flow field for the original layout of the system. As a result, the internal mechanisms influencing the uneven pressure drop in each branch are explored and three optimization schemes are proposed accordingly. The numerical results indicate that, for the original layout, the local pressure drop of the tee section accounts for approximately 74%of the total drop of the system, with other pressure drops depending on the specific branch considered. It is shown that after optimization,a roughly balanced flow resistance and flow rate can be obtained.Compared with the original layout, the pressure drop relating to different branches is significantly reduced.Qingyun Yan You Li Yuanhong Zhu Kui Cheng Xueli Huang Cong Qi Xuemin Ye 2020Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2020,16,3:4
Editing the Shape Morphing of Monocomponent Natural Polysaccharide Hydrogel Films显示文摘Shape-morphing hydrogels can be widely used to develop artificial muscles, reconfigurable biodevices, and soft robotics. However, conventional approaches for developing shape-morphing hydrogels highly rely on composite materials or complex manufacturing techniques, which limit their practical applications.Herein,we develop an unprecedented strategy to edit the shape morphing of monocomponent natural polysaccharide hydrogel films via integrating gradient cross-linking density and geometry effect.Owing to the synergistic effect, the shape morphing of chitosan(CS)hydrogel films with gradient cross-linking density can be facilely edited by changing their geometries(length-to-width ratios or thicknesses).Therefore,helix,short-side rolling, and longside rolling can be easily customized.Furthermore, various complex artificial 3D deformations such as artificial claw, horn, and flower can also be obtained by combining various flat CS hydrogel films with different geometries into one system, which can further demonstrate various shape transformations as triggered by pH.This work offers a simple strategy to construct a monocomponent hydrogel with geometry-directing programmable deformations, which provides universal insights into the design of shape-morphing polymers and will promote their applications in biodevices and soft robotics.Hao Hu Chao Huang Massimiliano Galluzzi Qiang Ye Rui Xiao Xuefeng Yu Xuemin Du 2021Research2021,,1:3
Enzymatically-degradable hydrogel coatings on titanium for bacterial infection inhibition and enhanced soft tissue compatibility via a self-adaptive strategy显示文摘Ideal percutaneous titanium implants request both antibacterial ability and soft tissue compatibility.ZnO structure constructed on titanium has been widely proved to be helpful to combat pathogen contamination, but the biosafety of ZnO is always questioned. How to maintain the remarkable antibacterial ability of ZnO and efficiently reduce the corresponding toxicity is still challenging.Herein,a hybrid hydrogel coating was constructed on the fabricated ZnO structure of titanium, and the coating was proved to be enzymatically-degradable when bacteria exist. Then the antibacterial activity of ZnO was presented. When under the normal condition(no bacteria),the hydrogel coating was stable and tightly adhered to titanium. The toxicity of ZnO was reduced, and the viability of fibroblasts was largely improved.More importantly, the hydrogel coating provided a good buffer zone for cell ingrowth and soft tissue integration. The curbed Zn ion release was also proved to be useful to regulate fibroblast responses such as the expression of CTGF and COL-I.These results were also validated by in vivo studies. Therefore, this study proposed a valid self-adaptive strategy for ZnO improvement.Under different conditions, the sample could present different functions, and both the antibacterial ability and soft tissue compatibility were finely preserved.Jin Leng Ye He Zhang Yuan Bailong Tao Ke Li Chuanchuan Lin Kun Xu Maowen Chen Liangliang Dai Xuemin Li Tony Jun Huang Kaiyong Cai 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,12:2

Self-Navigated 3D Acoustic Tweezers in Complex Media Based on Time Reversal显示文摘Acoustic tweezers have great application prospects because they allow noncontact and noninvasive manipulation of microparticles in a wide range of media. However, the nontransparency and heterogeneity of media in practical applications complicate particle trapping and manipulation. In this study,we designed a 1.04 MHz 256-element 2D matrix array for 3D acoustic tweezers to guide and monitor the entire process using real-time 3D ultrasonic images, thereby enabling acoustic manipulation in nontransparent media.Furthermore,we successfully performed dynamic 3D manipulations on multiple microparticles using multifoci and vortex traps. We achieved 3D particle manipulation in heterogeneous media(through resin baffle and ex vivo macaque and human skulls)by introducing a method based on the time reversal principle to correct the phase and amplitude distortions of the acoustic waves. Our results suggest cutting-edge applications of acoustic tweezers such as acoustical drug delivery, controlled micromachine transfer, and precise treatment.Ye Yang Teng Ma Sinan Li Qi Zhang Jiqing Huang Yifei Liu Jianwei Zhuang Yongchuan Li Xuemin Du Lili Niu Yang Xiao Congzhi Wang Feiyan Cai Hairong Zheng 2021Research2021,,1:1
