| 4 | An energy minimization algorithm based on distributed dynamic clustering for long term evolution(LTE) heterogeneous networks显示文摘Energy saving has become an important issue in wireless communications from both environment and economic considerations. In this paper, an energy minimization algorithm based on distributed dynamic clustering(DDCEM) with lower complexity, higher performance, and better adaptability for heterogeneous network(Het Net) is proposed. A Het Net could be divided into several clusters, which is defined as one group of a network node and users served by the node. A energy efficient user association, which dynamically changes according to real-time energy efficiency(EE) evaluation with traffic load and location distribution of each cluster, can be employed to save consumed energy. Then, the optimal sleeping relay is found as follows. First,the sleeping probability cost of each relay station(RS) is computed and ranked based on the user traffic and the position distribution of each cluster, and the relay with minimum sleeping probability is selected to be switched off. Hence, the sleep node is selected taking into account the traffic load and location of the Evolved Node B(e NB) and all the RSs. The complexity of the algorithm is greatly reduced because the user association operation and network load evaluation are fulfilled cluster by cluster. | 5 | A unified algorithm for mobility load balancing in 3GPP LTE multi-cell networks显示文摘3GPP long term evolution (LTE) is a promising candidate for the next-generation wireless network, which is expected to achieve high spectrum efficiency by using advanced physical layer techniques and flat network structures. However, the LTE network still faces the problem of load imbalance as in GSM/WCDMA networks, and this may cause significant deterioration of system performance. To deal with this problem, mobility load balancing (MLB) has been proposed as an important use case in 3GPP self-organizing network (SON), in which the serving cell of a user can be selected to achieve load balancing rather than act as the cell with the maximum received power. Furthermore, the LTE network aims to serve users with different quality-of-service (QoS) requirements, and the network-wide objective function for load balancing is distinct for different kinds of users. Thus, in this paper, a unified algorithm is proposed for MLB in the LTE network. The load balancing problem is first formulated as an optimization problem with the optimizing variables being cell-user connections. Then the complexity and overhead of the optimal solution is analyzed and a practical and distributed algorithm is given. After that, the proposed algorithm is evaluated for users with different kinds of QoS requirements, i.e., guaranteed bit rate (GBR) users with the objective function of load balance index and non-GBR (nGBR) users with the objective function of total utility, respectively. | 6 | The Distribution of Different Clades of Seneca Valley Viruses in Guangdong Province,China显示文摘Seneca Valley virus (SVV), a newly determined etiological agent of vesicular disease in swine, causes porcine idiopathic disease and occasional acute death in piglets. Recently, an increased number of SVV infection cases have been reported in the United States (US) and China, resulting in significant economic losses to the swine industry. The first identification of SVV in China was reported in Guangdong Province, a major swine producing province. The cases of SVV were continuously reported in Guangdong in 2015 and 2016. However, the spread of SVV in Guangdong in 2017 remains unknown.In this study, we determined two new SVV strains, CH-GD-2017-1 and CH-GD-2017-2, from Guangdong. The genetic analysis suggested that the two Guangdong strains showed different characteristics to previous Guangdong strains. They showed lower nucleotide similarity with strains isolated in 2015 and 2016, and were more similar to the US strains.Phylogenetic analyses indicated that the new strains were clustered in a different clade with previous Guangdong strains.We found 28 mutated amino acids in the new strains, compared with the first Guangdong strain, SVV CH-01-2015. In the geographic analysis, we found that the US and China reported more SVV cases than other countries, and most of the SVV cases were reported in east and central China—of which, Guangdong Province is one of the major epidemic regions. | 9 | Lifetime maximization routing with network coding in wireless multihop networks显示文摘In this paper, we consider the lifetime maximization routing with network coding in wireless mul- tihop networks. We first show that lifetime maximization with network coding is different from pure routing, throughput maximization with network coding and energy minimization with network coding. Then we formulate lifetime maximization problems in three different cases of (i) no network coding, (ii) two-way network coding, and (iii) overhearing network coding. To solve these problems, we use flow augmenting routing (FA) for the first case, and then extend the FA with network coding (FANC) by using energy minimized one-hop network coding. After that, we investigate the influence of parameters of FANC, evaluate the performance of FANC with two-way and overhearing network coding schemes and compare it with that without network coding under two different power control models, namely, protocol and physical ones. | 12 | A power adjustment based e ICIC algorithm for hyper-dense Het Nets considering the alteration of user association显示文摘This paper evaluates power adjustment based enhanced inter-cell interference coordination(e ICIC)problem in the hyper-dense Het Net under the practical serving cell selection rule where each user selects the base station with the strongest received signal power as its serving cell while the alteration of the serving cell happens during the power adjusting process. In this paper, the e ICIC problem is solved by cooperatively adjusting the transmission power of all small cells. A power adjustment method based on modified particle swarm optimization(MPSO) is proposed to tackle the NP-hard e ICIC problem caused by the alteration of the serving cell, and considering the drawbacks of MPSO, an improved MPSO is proposed for effective algorithm.Local search and multi-restart process are introduced in the improved MPSO based e ICIC algorithm to guarantee the local and then global optimality, and the convergence conditions and the global optimality are proved by mathematical deduction to guide the selection of the parameters. Simulations show that, while considering the fifty-picocell case as an example, the proposed improved MPSO based e ICIC algorithm can increase the system throughput by 66.0% compared with the full power transmission, and compared with the existing schemes which do not alter the serving cells, the proposed algorithm can improve the system throughput by 32.2%. | 13 | Three novel opportunistic scheduling algorithms in CoMP-CSB scenario显示文摘Coordinated scheduling/beamforming(CSB),which belongs to the coordinated multi-point(CoMP) transmission,has received lots of attention recently due to its great potential to mitigate inter-cell interference(ICI) and to increase the cell-edge throughput,and meanwhile it only requires limited base station cooperation and is easy to implement.However,to the best of our knowledge,there are no effective scheduling algorithms with low complexity and overhead in CoMP-CSB scenario as yet.Thus,in this paper,we propose three novel opportunistic scheduling algorithms in CoMP-CSB scenario.All of them jointly consider the intended channel condition of the scheduled user from its serving cell and the orthogonality between the intended channel and the corresponding interference channels to concurrently scheduled users in nearby cells,thus exploiting multi-user diversity(MUD) and mitigating ICI at the same time.Algorithm 1 cooperatively chooses the most orthogonal user pair within a candidate user set in which all users have a large local channel feedback,while Algorithm 2 concurrently schedules the user pair with the largest ratio between the local channel feedbacks and the aforementioned orthogonality within the same candidate user set.Algorithm 3 performs in the way similar to the proportional fairness scheduling,while making a proper modification for its usage in CoMP-CSB scenario.The performance of the proposed scheduling algorithms are evaluated through simulation.Results show that,they all can significantly enhance the received signal to interference plus noise ratio(SINR) with relatively good fairness guarantee,thus achieving larger throughputs and utilities than several well-known scheduling algorithms.Algorithm 2 even outperforms Algorithm 1 when the aforementioned candidate user set is big enough in size and has a bit more overhead/complexity.Furthermore,Algorithms 3 is the best one among all the three proposed algorithms,but it requires more overhead/complexity than Algorithm 1 and 2.Finally,we give the optimal parameter for all of the three proposed algorithms,which can make a good tradeoff between performance and overhead/complexity. | WANG Hao LIU Nan WU Ping PAN ZhiWen YOU XiaoHu | 2013 | Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,8: | 2 |

| 19 | BS sleeping strategy for energy-delay tradeoff in wireless-backhauling UDN显示文摘Ultra-dense network (UDN) has been recognized as a promising technology for 5G. Although turning off low-load base stations (BSs) can improve energy efficiency, it may cause degradation of delay performance. This makes energy-delay tradeoff (EDT) an important topic. In this paper, a theoretical framework for EDT, in wireless-backhauling UDN, is developed. First, we investigate association probabilities of UEs and transmission probabilities of BSs. Expressions for energy consumption and network packet delay are obtained and the impact that BS sleeping ratio has on energy consumption and packet delay are analyzed.Then, we formulate the EDT problem as a cost minimization problem to select the optimal set of sleeping small cells. To solve the EDT optimization problem, a locally optimal sleeping ratio for EDT is obtained using the dynamic gradient iteration algorithm and we prove that it can converge to the global optimal sleeping ratio. Then, queue-aware and channel-queue-aware sleeping strategies are proposed to find the optimal set of sleeping small cells according to the optimal sleeping ratio.
