Design of a new dynamical core for global atmospheric models based on some efficient numerical methods显示文摘A careful study on the integral properties of the primitive hydrostatic balance equations for baroclinic atmosphere is carried out, and a new scheme todesign the global adiabatic model of atmospheric dynamics ispresented. This scheme includes a method of weighted equal-areamesh and a fully discrete finite difference method with quadraticand linear conservations for solving the primitive equationsystem. Using this scheme, we established a new dynamical corewith adjustable high resolution acceptable to the availablecomputer capability, which can be very stable without anyfiltering and smoothing. Especially, some important integralproperties are kept unchanged, such as the anti-symmetries of thehorizontal advection operators and the vertical convectionoperator, the mass conservation, the effective energy conservationunder the standard stratification approximation, and so on. Somenumerical tests on the new dynamical core, respectively regardingits global conservations and its integrated performances inclimatic modeling, incorporated with the physical packagesfrom the Community Atmospheric Model Version 2 (CAM2) of NationalCenter for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), are included.WANG Bin, WAN Hui, Jl Zhongzhen, ZHANG Xin, YU Rucong, YU Yongqiang & LIU HongtaoState Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100029, China Department of Computational Mathematics, Academy of Mathematics and System Sciences, Peking University, Beijing 100871, China 2004Science China Mathematics2004,47,z1:92
A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. Further efforts should focus on identifying the etiology of the SARS-associated virus and ruling out conclusively the existence of otherpossible SARS-related pathogen(s).QIN E'de ZHU Qingyu YU Man FAN Baochang CHANG Guohui SI Bingyin YANG Bao PENG Wenming JIANG Tao LIU Bohua DENG Yongqiang LIU Hong ZHANG Yu WANG Cui LI Yuquan GAN Yonghua LI Xiaoyu L Fushuang TAN Gang CAO Wuchun, YANG Ruifu Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing 100071, China WANG Jian, LI Wei, XU Zuyuan, LI Yan, WU Qingfa, LIN Wei, CHEN Weijun, TANG Lin, DENG Yajun, HAN Yujun, LI Changfeng, LEI Meng, LI Guoqing, LI Wenjie, L Hong, SHI Jianping, TONG Zongzhong, ZHANG Feng, LI Songgang, LIU Bin, LIU Siqi, DONG Wei, WANG Jun, Gane K-S Wong, YU Jun & YANG Huanming* Beijing Genomics Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 101300 National Center for Genome Information, Beijing 101300, China 2003Chinese Science Bulletin2003,48,10:121
Changes in soil organic carbon of terrestrial ecosystems in China:A mini-review显示文摘The present study provides an overview of existing literature on changes in soil organic carbon(SOC) of various terrestrial ecosystems in China.Datasets from the literature suggest that SOC stocks in forest, grassland, shrubland and cropland increased between the early 1980s and the early 2000s,amounting to(71±19) Tg·a-1.Conversion of marshland to cropland in the Sanjiang Plain of northeast China resulted in SOC loss of(6±2) Tg·a-1 during the same period.Nevertheless, large uncertainties exist in these estimates, especially for the SOC changes in the forest, shrubland and grassland. To reduce uncertainty,we suggest that future research should focus on:(i) identifying land use changes throughout China with high spatiotemporal resolution, and measuring the SOC loss and sequestration due to land use change;(ii) estimating the changes in SOC of shrubland and non-forest trees(i.e.,cash,shelter and landscape trees);(iii) quantifying the impacts of grassland management on the SOC pool;(iv) evaluating carbon changes in deep soil layers;(v) projecting SOC sequestration potential;and(vi) developing carbon budget models for better estimating the changes in SOC of terrestrial ecosystems in China.HUANG Yao*,SUN WenJuan,ZHANG Wen & YU YongQiang State Key Laboratory of Atmospheric Boundary Layer Physics and Atmospheric Chemistry(LAPC),Institute of Atmospheric Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100029,China 2010Science China(Life Sciences)2010,53,7:46
Erianin,a novel dibenzyl compound in Dendrobium extract, inhibits lung cancer cell growth and migration via calcium/calmodulin-dependent ferroptosis显示文摘Ferroptosis,a novel form of programmed cell death,is characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and has been shown to be involved in multiple diseases, including cancer.Stimulating ferroptosis in cancer cells may be a potential strategy for cancer therapy.Therefore,ferroptosis-inducing drugs are attracting more attention for cancer treatment. Here,we showed that erianin,a natural product isolated from Dendrobium chrysotoxum Lindl, exerted its anticancer activity by inducing cell death and inhibiting cell migration in lung cancer cells.Subsequently,we demonstrated for the first time that erianin induced ferroptotic cell death in lung cancer cells, which was accompanied by ROS accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and GSH depletion. The ferroptosis inhibitors Fer-1 and Lip-1 but not Z-VAD-FMK,CQ,or necrostatin-1 rescued erianin-induced cell death, indicating that ferroptosis contributed to erianin-induced cell death.Furthermore,we demonstrated that Ca^(2+)/CaM signaling was a critical mediator of erianin-induced ferroptosis and that blockade of this signaling significantly rescued cell death induced by erianin treatment by suppressing ferroptosis.Taken together, our data suggest that the natural product erianin exerts its anticancer effects by inducing Ca^(2+)/CaMdependent ferroptosis and inhibiting cell migration, and erianin will hopefully serve as a prospective compound for lung cancer treatment.Peng Chen Qibiao Wu Jiao Feng Lili Yan Yitian Sun Shuiping Liu Yu Xiang Mingming Zhang Ting Pan Xiaying Chen Ting Duan Lijuan Zhai Bingtao Zhai Wengang Wang Ruonan Zhang Bi Chen Xuemeng Han Yicong Li Liuxi Chen Ying Liu Xingxing Huang Ting Jin Wenzheng Zhang Hong Luo Xiaohui Chen Yongqiang Li Qiujie Li Guohua Li Qin Zhang Lvjia Zhuo Zuyi Yang Huifen Tang Tian Xie Xiaoping Ouyang Xinbing Sui 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:42
A quasi-global 1/10° eddy-resolving ocean general circulation model and its preliminary results显示文摘In this study,a quasi-global(excluding the Arctic Ocean) eddy-resolving ocean general circulation model(OGCM) is established based on the latest version of the LASG/IAP Climate system Ocean Model(LICOM2.0).The horizontal resolution and vertical resolution are increased to 1/10° and 55 layers, respectively.Forced by the surface fluxes from the reanalysis and observed data, the model has been integrated for approximately 20 model years(20 a).During the last 8 a,the model is driven by daily mean wind stresses from QuikSCAT and heat fluxes from reanalysis data from 2000 to 2007.The basic performance of the OGCM is analyzed using the last 8 a simulation output.Compared with the simulation of the coarse-resolution OGCM,the eddy-resolving OGCM not only better simulates the spatial-temporal features of mesoscale eddies and the paths and positions of western boundary currents but also reproduces the large meander of the Kuroshio Current and its interannual variability.Another aspect, namely, the complex structures of equatorial Pacific currents and currents in the coastal ocean of China, are better captured due to the increased horizontal and vertical resolution.YU YongQiang LIU HaiLong LIN PengFei 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,30:18
Analysis of deep-layer and bottom circulations in the South China Sea based on eight quasi-global ocean model outputs显示文摘This study is a preliminary analysis of the South China Sea(SCS)deep circulations using eight quasi-global high-resolution ocean model outputs. The goal is to assess models’ability to simulate these deep circulations. The analysis reveals that models’deep temperatures are colder than the observations in the World Ocean Atlas, while most models’deep salinity values are higher than the observations, indicating models’deep water is generally colder and saltier than the reality. Moreover, there are long-term trends in both temperature and salinity simulations. The Luzon Strait transport below 1500 m is 0.36 Sv when averaged for all models, smaller compared with the observation, which is about 2.5 Sv.Four assimilated models and one unassimilated(OCCAM)display that the Luzon deep-layer overflow reaches its minimum in spring and its maximum in winter. The vertically integrated streamfunctions below 2400 m from these models show a deep cyclonic circulation in the SCS on a large scale, but the pattern is different from the diagnostic streamfunction from the U.S Navy Generalized Digital Environment Model(GDEM-Version 3.0,GDEMv3).The meridional overturning structure above 1000 m is similar in all models, but the spatial distribution and intensity below 1500 m are quite different from model to model. Moreover, the meridional overturning below 2400 m in these models is weaker than that of the GDEMv3,which indicates a deep vertical mixing process in these models is biased weak.Based on the above evaluation, this paper discusses the impacts of T/S initial value, topography, and mixing scheme on the SCS deep circulations, which may provide a reference for future model improvement.XIE Qiang XIAO JinGen WANG DongXiao YU YongQiang 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,32:14
Paleoclimate Modeling in China: A Review显示文摘This paper provides a review of paleoclimate modeling activities in China. Rather than attempt to cover all topics, we have chosen a few climatic intervals and events judged to be particularly informative to the international community. In historical climate simulations, changes in solar radiation and volcanic activity explain most parts of reconstructions over the last millennium prior to the industrial era, while atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations play the most important role in the20 th century warming over China. There is a considerable model–data mismatch in the annual and boreal winter temperature change over China during the mid-Holocene [6000 years before present(ka BP)], while coupled models with an interactive ocean generally perform better than atmospheric models. For the Last Glacial Maximum(21 ka BP), climate models successfully reproduce the surface cooling trend over China but fail to reproduce its magnitude, with a better performance for coupled models. At that time, reconstructed vegetation and western Pacific sea surface temperatures could have significantly affected the East Asian climate, and environmental conditions on the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau were most likely very different to the present day. During the late Marine Isotope Stage 3(30–40 ka BP), orbital forcing and Northern Hemisphere glaciation, as well as vegetation change in China, were likely responsible for East Asian climate change. On the tectonic scale, the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau uplift, the Tethys Sea retreat, and the South China Sea expansion played important roles in the formation of the East Asian monsoon-dominant environment pattern during the late Cenozoic.JIANG Dabang YU Ge ZHAO Ping CHEN Xing LIU Jian LIU Xiaodong WANG Shaowu ZHANG Zhongshi YU Yongqiang LI Yuefeng JIN Liya XU Ying JU Lixia ZHOU Tianjun YAN Xiaodong 2015Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2015,32,2:12

Phylogenetic and genetic characterization of a 2017 clinical isolate of H7N9 virus in Guangzhou,China during the fifth epidemic wave显示文摘Pathogenic H7N9 influenza viruses continue to pose a public health concern. The H7N9 virus has caused five outbreak waves of human infections in China since 2013. In the present study, a novel H7N9 strain(A/Guangdong/8 H324/2017) was isolated from a female patient with severe respiratory illness during the fifth wave of the 2017 H7N9 epidemic. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the H7N9 viruses collected during the fifth wave belong to two different lineages: the Pearl River Delta lineage and the Yangtze River Delta lineage. The novel isolate is closely related to the Pearl River Delta H7N9 viruses, which were isolated from patients in Guangdong Province. The novel H7N9 isolate has an insertion of three basic amino acids in the cleavage site of hemagglutinin(HA), which may enhance virulence in poultry. The 2017 isolate also possesses an R292 K substitution in the neuraminidase(NA)protein, which confers oseltamivir resistance. This study highlights the pandemic potential of the novel H7N9 virus in mammals;thus, future characterization and surveillance is warranted.Yongqiang Deng Chunlin Li Jianfeng Han Yingfen Wen Jian Wang Wenxing Hong Xiaofeng Li Zhongyu Liu Qing Ye Jing Li Changshuai Zhou Lei Yu Chengfeng Qin Fuchun Zhang Tao Jiang 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,12:9
LICOM Model Datasets for the CMIP6 Ocean Model Intercomparison Project显示文摘The datasets of two Ocean Model Intercomparison Project(OMIP)simulation experiments from the LASG/IAP Climate Ocean Model, version 3(LICOM3),forced by two different sets of atmospheric surface data, are described in this paper. The experiment forced by CORE-II(Co-ordinated Ocean–Ice Reference Experiments,Phase II)data(1948–2009)is called OMIP1,and that forced by JRA55-do(surface dataset for driving ocean–sea-ice models based on Japanese 55-year atmospheric reanalysis)data(1958–2018)is called OMIP2.First,the improvement of LICOM from CMIP5 to CMIP6 and the configurations of the two experiments are described.Second, the basic performances of the two experiments are validated using the climatological-mean and interannual time scales from observation. We find that the mean states, interannual variabilities, and long-term linear trends can be reproduced well by the two experiments. The differences between the two datasets are also discussed. Finally, the usage of these data is described. These datasets are helpful toward understanding the origin system bias of the fully coupled model.Pengfei LIN Zhipeng YU Hailong LIU Yongqiang YU Yiwen LI Jirong JIANG Wei XUE Kangjun CHEN Qian YANG Bowen ZHAO Jilin WEI Mengrong DING Zhikuo SUN Yaqi WANG Yao MENG Weipeng ZHENG Jinfeng MA 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,3:9
Additively manufactured biodegradable porous magnesium implants for elimination of implant-related infections:An in vitro and in vivo study显示文摘Magnesium(Mg)alloys that have both antibacterial and osteogenic properties are suitable candidates for orthopedic implants. However, the fabrication of ideal Mg implants suitable for bone repair remains challenging because it requires implants with interconnected pore structures and personalized geometric shapes. In this study,we fabricated a porous 3D-printed Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr(denoted as JDBM)implant with suitable mechanical properties using selective laser melting technology. The 3D-printed JDBM implant exhibited cytocompatibility in MC3T3-E1 and RAW267.4 cells and excellent osteoinductivity in vitro.Furthermore, the implant demonstrated excellent antibacterial ratios of 90.0% and 92.1% for methicillin-resistant S.aureus(MRSA)and Escherichia coli, respectively. The 3D-printed JDBM implant prevented MRSA-induced implant-related infection in a rabbit model and showed good in vivo biocompatibility based on the results of histological evaluation, blood tests, and Mg2+deposition detection. In addition, enhanced inflammatory response and TNF-α secretion were observed at the bone-implant interface of the 3D-printed JDBM implants during the early implantation stage. The high Mg^(2+)environment produced by the degradation of 3D-printed JDBM implants could promote M1 phenotype of macrophages(Tnf,iNOS,Ccl3,Ccl4,Ccl5,Cxcl10,and Cxcl2),and enhance the phagocytic ability of macrophages. The enhanced immunoregulatory effect generated by relatively fast Mg^(2+)release and implant degradation during the early implantation stage is a potential antibacterial mechanism of Mg-based implant. Our findings indicate that 3D-printed porous JDBM implants, having both antibacterial property and osteoinductivity, hold potential for future orthopedic applications.Kai Xie Nanqing Wang Yu Guo Shuang Zhao Jia Tan Lei Wang Guoyuan Li Junxiang Wu Yangzi Yang Wenyu Xu Juan Chen Wenbo Jiang Penghuai Fu Yongqiang Hao 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:8
The Hiatus and Accelerated Warming Decades in CMIP5 Simulations显示文摘Observed hiatus or accelerated warming phenomena are compared with numerical simulations from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5) archives, and the associated physical mechanisms are explored based on the CMIP5 models. Decadal trends in total ocean heat content(OHC) are strongly constrained by net top-of-atmosphere(TOA) radiation.During hiatus decades, most CMIP5 models exhibit a significant decrease in the SST and upper OHC and a significant increase of heat penetrating into the subsurface or deep ocean, opposite to the accelerated warming decades. The shallow meridional overturning of the Pacific subtropical cell experiences a significant strengthening(slowdown) for the hiatus(accelerated warming) decades associated with the strengthened(weakened) trade winds over the tropical Pacific. Both surface heating and ocean dynamics contribute to the decadal changes in SST over the Indian Ocean, and the Indonesian Throughflow has a close relationship with the changes of subsurface temperature in the Indian Ocean. The Atlantic Meridional Overturing Circulation(Antarctic Bottom Water) tends to weaken(strengthen) during hiatus decades, opposite to the accelerated warming decades. In short, the results highlight the important roles of air–sea interactions and ocean circulations for modulation of surface and subsurface temperature.SONG Yi YU Yongqiang LIN Pengfei 2014Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2014,31,6:7

The FGOALS climate system model as a modeling tool for supporting climate sciences:An overview显示文摘Climate system models are useful tools for understanding the interactions among the components of the climate system and predicting/projecting future climate change. The development of climate models has been a central focus of the State Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences(LASG/IAP) since the establishment of the laboratory in 1985. In China, many pioneering component models and fully coupled models of the climate system have been developed by LASG/IAP. The fully coupled climate system developed in the recent decade is named FGOALS(Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System Model). In this paper, an application-oriented review of the LASG/IAP FGOALS model is presented. The improved model performances are demonstrated in the context of cloud-radiation processes, Asian monsoon, ENSO phenomena, Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC) and sea ice. The FGOALS model has contributed to both CMIP5(Coupled Model Intercomparison Project-phase 5) and IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) AR5(the Fifth Assessment Report). The release of FGOALS data has supported the publication of nearly 500 papers around the world. The results of FGOALS are cited ~106 times in the IPCC WG1(Working Group 1) AR5. In addition to the traditional long-term simulations and projections, near-term decadal climate prediction is a new set of CMIP experiment, progress of LAGS/IAP in the development of nearterm decadal prediction system is reviewed. The FGOALS model has supported many Chinese national-level research projects and contributed to the national climate change assessment report. The crucial role of FGOALS as a modeling tool for supporting climate sciences is highlighted by demonstrating the model's performances in the simulation of the evolution of Earth's climate from the past to the future.TianJun Zhou Bin Wang YongQiang Yu YiMin Liu WeiPeng Zheng LiJuan Li Bo Wu PengFei Lin Zhun Guo WenMin Man Qing Bao AnMin Duan HaiLong Liu XiaoLong Chen Bian He JianDong Li LiWei Zou XiaoCong Wang LiXia Zhang Yong Sun WenXia Zhang 2018Earth and Planetary Physics2018,2,4:6
Impact of the closure of Indonesian seaway on climate: A numerical modeling study显示文摘Using a global OGCM and its relevant coupledocean-atmosphere GCM with the contemporary, 6 MaBPand 14 MaBP oceanic topography, respectively, a series ofnumerical experiments are implemented in order to investi-gate the effect of the north shift of Australian continent onthe tropical oceanic circulation, especially the formation ofthe western Pacific warm pool. The numerical experimentsof the individual OGCM forced by the modern atmosphericcirculation indicate that the closure of Indonesian passageresults in warming in the tropical Pacific Ocean and coolingin the tropical Indian Ocean; furthermore, it also results inchange in source of the Indonesian Through Flow (ITF) wa-ter, e.g. ITF mainly originates from the south Pacific at 14MaBP, but it mainly originates from the north Pacific now.The coupled model shows similar results as the individualOGCM qualitatively.YU Yongqiang, ZHOU Zuyi & ZHANG Xuehong 1. 16A study on JA-and BTH-induced resistance of Rosa rugosa‘Plena’to powdery mildew(Sphaerotheca pannosa)显示文摘Different concentrations of jasmonic acid(JA)and benzothiadiazole(BTH) were sprayed on 2-year-old Rosa rugosa‘Plena’ seedlings. The induced resistance of JA and BTH to Sphaerotheca pannosa(Wallr.) and the changes of their related physiological indices were investigated. Results showed that JA and BTH treatments had inhibitory impacts on S. pannosa infection. The optimal concentration of JA and BTH was 0.5 mmol/L for the disease-resistance induction of the leaves, its inductive effect was up to 66.36% for BTH and 54.49% for JA. Our results confirmed that exogenous JA and BTH significantly improved R. rugose ‘Plena’ resistance to S. pannosa. When treated with JA and BTH, activities of the three defense enzymes(POD, PPO, and PAL) increased significantly.Contents of total phenolics, flavonoids, and lignin also increased significantly. It is inferred from these results that exogenous JA and BTH could improve the resistance of R.rugose ‘Plena’ to S. pannosa through enhancing activities of the defensive enzymes and accumulation of secondary metabolites in the leaves.Junxin Yan Yanan Deng Jia Yu Yongqiang Zhang Defu Chi 2018Journal of Forestry Research2018,29,3:6
Disruption of adipocyte HIF-1α improves atherosclerosis through the inhibition of ceramide generation显示文摘Atherosclerosis is a chronic multifactorial cardiovascular disease.Western diets have been reported to affect atherosclerosis through regulating adipose function. In high cholesterol diet-fed ApoE^(−/−)mice,adipocyte HIF-1αdeficiency or direct inhibition of HIF-1αby the selective pharmacological HIF-1αinhibitor PX-478 alleviates high cholesterol diet-induced atherosclerosis by reducing adipose ceramide generation, which lowers cholesterol levels and reduces inflammatory responses, resulting in improved dyslipidemia and atherogenesis.Smpd3,the gene encoding neutral sphingomyelinase,is identified as a new target gene directly regulated by HIF-1αthat is involved in ceramide generation.Injection of lentivirus-SMPD3 in epididymal adipose tissue reverses the decrease in ceramides in adipocytes and eliminates the improvements on atherosclerosis in the adipocyte HIF-1α-deficient mice.Therefore,HIF-1αinhibition may constitute a novel approach to slow atherosclerotic progression.Pengcheng Wang Guangyi Zeng Yu Yan Song-yang Zhang Yongqiang Dong Yangming Zhang Xingzhong Zhang Huiying Liu Zhipeng Zhang Changtao Jiang Yanli Pang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,4:6
First-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy in 106 patients with compound EGFR-mutated lung cancer: a single institution’s clinical practice experience显示文摘Background:The antitumour efficacy of tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)in lung cancer patients with compound epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)mutations has not been resolved. Our study summarizes a single institutional experience of first-generation TKI therapy for lung cancers with compound EGFR mutations. Methods:A total of 106 consecutive patients with tumours bearing compound EGFR mutations were identified between January 2012 and May 2016;all patients received first-generation TKI therapy.Deletions in exon 19 and the L858R point mutation in exon 21 were considered common mutations;T790M was considered separately because of its association with TKIs resistances.Any other mutation was defined as a rare mutation.Patients were divided as follows:double common mutations(group A);common plus T790M mutations(group B);common plus rare muta-tions(group C);double rare mutations(group D);and rare plus T790M mutations(group E).A separate group of 115 consecutive patients with a single common mutation was created for comparative analysis(group F).Results:The frequency of patients with compound EGFR was 2.9%(114/3925)and their response rate to first-genera-tion TKIs was 50.9%,which was not significantly different from group F(67.0%,P=0.088).The progression-free survival(PFS)of the 106 patients receiving TKI therapy was worse than that of group F(median,9.1 vs.13.0 months,respec-tively;P<0.001).The PFS of the compound mutation group was shorter than that of the single common mutation group(median,10.1 months in group A,P=0.240;9.1 months in group B,P<0.001;9.6 months in group C,P=0.010;6.5 months in group D,P=0.048;5.4 months in group E,P=0.017).Patients with a co-occurring mutation in exon 20(excluding T790M)exhibited significantly worse PFS than the patients with other compound mutations or with a single common mutation(median,6.5 vs.9.1 vs.13.0 months,respectively,P=0.002).Conclusions:There was significant heterogeneity among the compound EGFR mutations and their response to first-generation TKIs.Individualized treatment in clinical practice should be considered for each case.Xiangyang Yu Xuewen Zhang Zichen Zhang Yongbin Lin Yingsheng Wen Yongqiang Chen Weidong Wang Lanjun Zhang 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:5
The coupling procedure of air-sea freshwater exchange in climate system models显示文摘A coupling procedure of air-sea freshwater exchange in climate system models is reported in this note. The first stage of the procedure is to force OGCM to equilibrium under strong restoring surface condition on salinity, then increase the relaxing coefficient and get another steady state. The second stage is to switch the forcing on salinity from the weak restoring condition to the flux condition, and then finish a long-term spinning-up integration. After finishing these OGCM spinning-up stages, the last stage is to couple the OGCM with an active atmosphere, i.e. AGCM. Verification with the Global-Ocean-Atmosphere-Land-System model developed at the State Key Laboratory of Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (LASG) shows that the preferred procedure is successful in including the air-sea freshwater exchange process.Tianjun Zhou Xuehong Zhang Yongqiang Yu 2001Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,1:5
