A Review on Metal-Organic Framework-Derived Porous Carbon-Based Novel Microwave Absorption Materials显示文摘The development of microwave absorption materials(MAMs) is a considerable important topic because our living space is crowed with electromagnetic wave which threatens human’s health. And MAMs are also used in radar stealth for protecting the weapons from being detected. Many nanomaterials were studied as MAMs,but not all of them have the satisfactory performance.Recently,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have attracted tremendous attention owing to their tunable chemical structures, diverse properties, large specific surface area and uniform pore distribution.MOF can transform to porous carbon(PC) which is decorated with metal species at appropriate pyrolysis temperature. However, the loss mechanism of pure MOF-derived PC is often relatively simple. In order to further improve the MA performance, the MOFs coupled with other loss materials are a widely studied method. In this review,we summarize the theories of MA,the progress of different MOF-derived PC-based MAMs,tunable chemical structures incorporated with dielectric loss or magnetic loss materials. The different MA performance and mechanisms are discussed in detail. Finally, the shortcomings, challenges and perspectives of MOF-derived PC-based MAMs are also presented. We hope this review could provide a new insight to design and fabricate MOF-derived PC-based MAMs with better fundamental understanding and practical application. | Zhiwei Zhang Zhihao Cai Ziyuan Wang Yaling Peng Lun Xia Suping Ma Zhanzhao Yin Yi Huang | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,4: | 17
Characterization and allergic role of IL-33-induced neutrophil polarization显示文摘Neutrophils are involved in the pathogenesis of allergy. However, the contribution of the different functionally polarized neutrophils in allergy needs to be clarified. We sought to define the characteristics of interleukin(IL)-33-induced neutrophils and the involvement of this subset of polarized neutrophils in allergic pathogenesis.Freshly isolated neutrophils were treated with different cytokines and the cytokine expression levels were detected by realtime PCR.The gene expression profile of IL-33-induced neutrophils was determined by microarray assay.Adoptive transfer assay was used to investigate the function of IL-33-induced neutrophils in an ovalbumin(OVA)-induced allergic asthma model.IL-33-treated neutrophils selectively produced IL-4,IL-5,IL-9 and IL-13(referred as to N(IL-33)cells)and displayed a distinctive gene expression profile in sharp contrast to resting and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-treated neutrophils.IL-33-induced neutrophils expressed high Levels of IL-1R2 on cell surface, whereas resting and LPS-treated neutrophils did not, indicating IL-1R2 might be used as a biomarker for N(IL-33)cells.Importantly,N(IL-33)neutrophils exist in the lungs of OVA-induced allergic asthma mice.Adoptive transfer of N(IL-33)neutrophils significantly promotes the severity of the lung pathogenesis in this model.IL-33 induces neutrophil polarization through c-Jun N-terminal kinase-and nuclear factor-κB-dependent pathways.A previously unappreciated neutrophil polarization driven by IL-33 with unique cell surface markers and cytokine/chemokineproducing gene profile was defined. The newly identified N(IL-33)subpopulation may have significant contribution to IL-33-related pathogenesis. | Bo Sun Linnan Zhu Yaling Tao Hai-Xi Sun Yang Li Peng Wang Yuzhu Hou Yang Zhao Xiaodong Zhang Lianfeng Zhang Ning Na Yong Zhao | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,8: | 9
Analysis of structural components of decellularized scaffolds in renal fibrosis显示文摘Chronic kidney disease has been recognized as a major public health problem worldwide and renal fibrosis is a common pathological process occurring in chronic renal failure. It is very promising to find the strategies to slow or even prevent the progression of fibrosis. This study focused on whether renal fibrosis decellularized scaffolds has the potential to be a model of cellular mechanisms of tissue fibrosis or donors for tissue engineering. In order to evaluate the feasibility of decellularized scaffolds derived from pathological kidneys, histology, proteomics and ELISA will be used to analysis the changes in the structure and main components of fibrotic tissue. The fibrosis model in this paper was induced by adenine-fed and the results showed that the structure of fibrotic scaffold was changed and some protein were up-regulated or down-regulated,but the cytokines associated with renal regeneration after injury were remained. In cell experiments, endothelial progenitor cells proliferated well, which proved that the fibrotic scaffolds have non-cytotoxic.All these conclusions indicate that the renal fibrosis decellularized scaffolds model has the ability to study fibrosis mechanism and the potential to be engineering donors as well as normal scaffolds. | Rui Zhang Junqun Jiang Yaling Yu Fangfang Wang Niuniu Gao Yingjie Zhou Xinlong Wan Zhibin Wang Peng Wei Jin Mei | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,7: | 5
Autophagy and cancer treatment: four functional forms of autophagy and their therapeutic applications显示文摘Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide. Drugs play a pivotal role in cancer treatment, but the complex biological processes of cancer cells seriously limit the efficacy of various anticancer drugs. Autophagy, a self-degradative system that maintains cellular homeostasis, universally operates under normal and stress conditions in cancer cells. The roles of autophagy in cancer treatment are still controversial because both stimulation and inhibition of autophagy have been reported to enhance the effects of anticancer drugs. Thus, the important question arises as to whether we should try to strengthen or suppress autophagy during cancer therapy. Currently, autophagy can be divided into four main forms according to its different functions during cancer treatment: cytoprotective(cell survival), cytotoxic(cell death), cytostatic(growth arrest), and nonprotective(no contribution to cell death or survival). In addition, various cell death modes, such as apoptosis, necrosis, ferroptosis, senescence, and mitotic catastrophe, all contribute to the anticancer effects of drugs. The interaction between autophagy and these cell death modes is complex and can lead to anticancer drugs having different or even completely opposite effects on treatment. Therefore, it is important to understand the underlying contexts in which autophagy inhibition or activation will be beneficial or detrimental. That is, appropriate therapeutic strategies should be adopted in light of the different functions of autophagy. This review provides an overview of recent insights into the evolving relationship between autophagy and cancer treatment. | Zhaoshi BAI Yaling PENG Xinyue YE Zhixian LIU Yupeng LI Lingman MA | 2022 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,2: | 5
Non-obstructive Coronary Artery Disease in Chinese Patients with Angina Diagnosed by Coronary Angiography:A Retrospective Study显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to estimate the proportion of non-obstructive coronary artery disease(CAD)patients in large percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)centers in China. Methods:The study was conducted at 6 large PCI centers in China from January 1,2013 to December 31,2015.Demographic and clinical data were collected from medical records, prescription records, and laboratory reports of patients with symptoms of angina who underwent coronary angiography(CAG).Results:A total of 1713 patients were consecutively screened,1600 of whom were included in the study.CAG showed that 300 patients had non-obstructive CAD while 1300 had obstructive CAD.Among the 300 patients with non-obstructive CAD,203 displayed mild coronary stenosis(20%-49%)and 91 had normal coronary status(ie,<20%stenosis).Of the 1300 patients with obstructive CAD,61.6%(801/1300)had typical symptoms of angina, compared with 49.3%(148/300)for patients with nonobstructive CAD.In addition, there were more women than men in the non-obstructive CAD group, whereas the reverse was observed among obstructive CAD patients. Conclusion:The prevalence of non-obstructive CAD in the Chinese population with coronary heart disease was estimated to be approximately 20%.Additionally,typical angina symptoms were correlated with obstructive CAD,whereas female gender was identified as a risk factor for non-obstructive CAD. | Chengfei Peng Shaoping Nie Yingxian Sun Hui Chen Zuyi Yuan Yanjun Gong Xiaozeng Wang Yaling Han | 2021 | Cardiology Discovery2021,1,4: | 4
Cost-benefit analysis of China’s Action Plan for Air Pollution Prevention and Control显示文摘China’s rapid economic growth has caused severe air pollution and public health problems. Therefore, the Chinese government launched the Action Plan for Air Pollution Prevention and Control(hereinafter referred to as the“Air Plan”)in 2013-2017 to improve air quality and safeguard public health. In this study,an analytical framework for a cost-benefit analysis applicable to China was constructed, and the costs and benefits of the implementation of the“Air Plan”in 30 cities and provinces in China from 2013 to 2017 were evaluated. Results show that the total cost of implementation of the“Air Plan”is 1.6511 trillion RMB.The benefits of air quality improvement were determined to be 2.4691 trillion RMB through the willingness-to-pay method to calculate the economic loss of premature deaths. The net benefit related to the implementation of the“Air Plan”was 818 billion RMB.The public health benefit of air quality improvement was 1.5 times the cost of the nationwide implementation of the“Air Plan”.At the provincial level, net benefits that reach 279.3 billion RMB were the highest in Guangdong, whereas the benefit-cost ratio, where the benefit was 5.5 times the cost, was the highest in Fujian.Estimations in this study can serve as a reference for China in formulating similar environmental policies and implementing the “3-year Plan to Defend the Blue Sky”.In addition, these estimations have practical significance for advancing the long-term effective mechanisms of the cost-benefit analysis of China5s environmental policies. | Jing ZHANG Hongqiang JIANG Wei ZHANG Guoxia MA Yanchao WANG Yaling LU Xi HU Jia ZHOU Fei PENG Jun BI Jinnan WANG | 2019 | Frontiers of Engineering Management2019,6,4: | 4

Characterization and biological significance of IL-23-induced neutrophil polarization显示文摘Neutrophils are heterogeneous with distinct subsets, and can switch phenotypes to exert regulatory functions on immunity. We herein demonstrate that IL-23-treated neutrophils selectively produce IL-17A,IL-17F and IL-22,and display a distinct gene expression profile in contrast to resting and lipopolysaccharide-treated neutrophils.IL-17+neutrophils are present in the colons of mice with dextran sulfate sodium-induced colitis.Adoptive transfer of IL-23-treated neutrophils significantly promotes pathogenesis in this model.IL-23 induces neutrophil polarization through STAT3-dependent RORγt and BATF pathways.Thus,IL-23-induced neutrophil polarization expresses a unique cytokine-producing profile, which may contribute to IL-23-mediated inflammatory diseases. | Yang Li Linnan Zhu Zhulang Chu Tao Yang Hai-Xi Sun Fan Yang Wei Wang Yuzhu Hou Peng Wang Qingjie Zhao Yaling Tao Lianfeng Zhang Xiaodong Zhang Yong Zhao | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,5: | 3
Determining antimicrobial resistance profiles and identifying novel mutations of Neisseria gonorrhoeae genomes obtained by multiplexed MinION sequencing显示文摘Gonorrhea is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases worldwide. To cure infection and prevent transmission, timely and appropriate antimicrobial therapy is necessary. Unfortunately, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, the etiological agent of gonorrhea, has acquired nearly all known mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance(AMR), thereby compromising the efficacy of antimicrobial therapy. Treatment failure resulting from AMR has become a global public health concern. Whole-genome sequencing is an effective method to determine the AMR characteristics of N. gonorrhoeae. Compared with next-generation sequencing, the MinION sequencer(Oxford Nanopore Technologies(ONT)) has the advantages of long read length and portability. Based on a pilot study using MinION to sequence the genome of N. gonorrhoeae, we optimized the workflow of sequencing and data analysis in the current study. Here we sequenced nine isolates within one flow cell using a multiplexed sequencing strategy. After hybrid assembly with Illumina reads, nine integral circular chromosomes were obtained. By using the online tool Pathogenwatch and a BLAST-based workflow, we acquired complete AMR profiles related to seven classes of antibiotics. We also evaluated the performance of ONT-only assemblies. Most AMR determinants identified by ONT-only assemblies were the same as those identified by hybrid assemblies. Moreover, one of the nine assemblies indicated a potentially novel antimicrobial-related mutation located in mtrR which results in a frame-shift, premature stop codon, and truncated peptide. In addition, this is the first study using the MinION sequencer to obtain complete genome sequences of N. gonorrhoeae strains which are epidemic in China. This study shows that complete genome sequences and antimicrobial characteristics of N.gonorrhoeae can be obtained using the MinION sequencer in a simple and cost-effective manner, with hardly any knowledge of bioinformatics required. More importantly, this strategy provides us with a potential approach to discover new AMR determinants. | Chi Zhang Feng Wang Cansheng Zhu Leshan Xiu Yamei Li Li Li Bo Liu Yizhun Li Yaling Zeng Boyang Guo Junping Peng | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,7: | 2
Floralozone protects endothelial function in atherosclerosis by ameliorating NHE1显示文摘Endothelial dysfunction is the pathological basis of atherosclerosis.Incomplete understanding of endothelial dysfunction etiology has impeded drug development for this devastating disease despite the currently available therapies.Floralozone,an aroma flavor, specifically exists in rabbit ear grass.Recently, floralozone has been demonstrated to inhibit atherosclerosis, but the underlying mechanisms are undefined. The present study was undertaken to explore whether floralozone pharmacologically targets endothelial dysfunction and therefore exerts therapeutic effects on atherosclerosis. The Na+/H+exchanger 1(NHE1),a channel protein, plays a vital role in atherosclerosis.Whether NHE1 is involved in the therapeutic effects of floralozone on endothelial dysfunction has yet to be further answered.By performing oil red staining and hematoxylin–eosin staining, vascular functional study, and oxidative stress monitoring,we found that floralozone not only reduced the size of carotid atherosclerotic plaque but also prevented endothelial dysfunction in atherosclerotic rats.NHE1 expression was upregulated in the inner membrane of carotid arteries and H2O2-induced primary rat aortic endothelial cells.Inspiringly, floralozone prevented the upregulation of NHE1 in vivo and in vitro.Notably, the administration of NHE1 activator LiCl significantly weakened the protective effect of floralozone on endothelial dysfunction in vivo and in vitro. Our study demonstrated that floralozone exerted its protective effect on endothelial dysfunction in atherosclerosis by ameliorating NHE1.NHE1 maybe a drug target for the treatment of atherosclerosis, and floralozone may be an effective drug to meet the urgent needs of atherosclerosis patients by dampening NHE1. | Ning Huang Yue Qiu Yanhua Liu Tianheng Liu Xianjun Xue Ping Song Jian Xu Yutian Fu Ruili Sun Yaling Yin Peng Li | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,10: | 2
Studies on Barriers for Promotion of Clean Technology in SMEs of China显示文摘After more than 10 years efforts on awareness raising and promotion, the concept of cleaner production (CP) has been adopting as a strategic approach to balance economic benefits and environmental protection for China’s industries. However, it is also found that clean technology is difficult to be adopted and implemented in Chinese Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) because of certain barriers. This paper investigates these barriers among three stakeholders--governments, enterprises and experts. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was employed to prioritize the relative importance of the twenty fine-selected barriers, which were classified into four barrier categories. The findings reveal that the exterior barriers of policy and financial barriers should be stressed rather than the inner barriers of technical and managerial barriers, although they are also very important. Absence of incentives on economic policies, lax enforcement of environmental regulations and high initial capital cost were the most important barriers to adoption of Clean Technologies (CT) in China. | Peng Sizhen , Liu Yan , Shi Han 1 2 & Zhong Ping 3 1. | 12 | Antithrombotic Management of Atrial Fibrillation Patients Presenting with Coronary Artery Disease:A Consensus Document of the Chinese Society of Cardiology显示文摘The coexistence of coronary artery disease(CAD)and atrial fibrillation(AF)is common in clinical practice.Patients with CAD require antiplatelet therapy to reduce the occurrence of myocardial ischemic events. However, patients with AF at high risk of thromboembolism require oral anticoagulants to reduce the occurrence of thromboembolic events such as stroke. In cases where CAD coexists with AF,the combined use of antiplatelet and anticoagulation therapy can effectively reduce the risk of ischemic and thromboembolic events but increase the risk of bleeding at the same time. The optimal antithrombotic regimen in patients with both CAD and AF has been controversial in clinical practice. In recent years, the expert consensuses on antithrombotic therapy in patients with AF presenting with acute coronary syndrome and/or undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention have been successively released in Europe and North America, and have been updated in a timely manner. In contrast, the guidelines on antithrombotic therapies in China are lacking.Based on published clinical evidence, this consensus incorporated relevant international and Chinese guidelines, consensuses, and expert recommendations, and addressed the issues encountered in the clinical practice of antithrombotic therapy in patients with AF and different types of CAD.The current guideline is of great significance to guide treatment in patients with both CAD and AF in China. | Chinese Society of Cardiology of Chinese Medical Association Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Cardiology Zuyi Yuan Shulin Wu Yaling Han Peng Qu Shaowen Liu Changsheng Ma Yumei Xue Xinjun Lei | 2021 | Cardiology Discovery2021,1,1: | 1

Puerarin inhibits NHE1 activity by interfering with the p38 pathway and attenuates mitochondrial damage induced by myocardial calcium overload in heart failure rats显示文摘Previous studies have shown that puerarin plays a key role in protecting humans and animals from cardiovascular diseases. The exact mechanism of the therapeutic effect of puerarin on various cardiovascular diseases(protective effect on cardiomyocytes)is still unclear. In the present study,we identify the role of puerarin in an animal model of experimental heart failure(HF)and explore its underlying mechanisms. The HF rat model is induced by in-traperitoneal injection of adriamycin(ADR),and puerarin is administered intragastrically at low, medium, and high concentrations. We demonstrate that puerarin significantly improves myocardial fibrosis and inflammatory in-filtration and,as a result, improves cardiac function in ADR-induced HF rats.Mechanistically,we find for the first time that puerarin inhibits overactivated Na+/H+exchange isoform 1(NHE1)in HF,which may improve HF by decreasing Na+and Ca2+ion concentrations and attenuating mitochondrial damage caused by calcium overload;on the other hand, puerarin inhibits the activation of the p38 pathway in HF,reduces the expressions of TGF-βand proinflammatory cytokines, and suppresses myocardial fibrosis. In conclusion, our results suggest that Puerarin is an effective drug against HF and may play a protective role in the myocardium by inhibiting the activation of p38 and its downstream NHE1. | Guopin Pan Baoyue Cui Mingming Han Laibiao Lin Yinlan Li Ling Wang Shuang Guo Yaling Yin Heqin Zhan Peng Li | 2024 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2024,56,2: | 0
