Downstaging and resection of hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with extrahepatic metastases after stereotactic therapy显示文摘Background:A combination of tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)and anti-PD-1 antibodies with local regional therapy has elicited yield substantial clinical benefits in patients who have hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)with extrahepatic metastases.Using this treatment strategy to convert HCC patients with extrahepatic metastases from unresectable to resectable has not yet been reported. Methods:Consecutive hepatocellular carcinoma patients with extrahepatic metastases who received first-line therapy with a combination of TKIs and anti-PD-1 antibodies and at least one local regional therapy were analysed. Results:Nine patients with localized disease who received first-line systemic therapy were enrolled. At baseline, all of them had oligometastatic disease, namely,Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C(or Chinese Liver Cancer stage IIIB).The most common treatment administered was lenvatinib plus anti-PD-1 antibody and transarterial chemoembolization, and the median time span from systemic therapy to surgery was 3.2(IQR,2.8-6.2)months.Three patients achieved a pathological complete response.Six patients underwent laparoscopic surgery, and the other 3 patients underwent open surgery. After a median follow-up of 10.2(IQR,8.6-20.0)months,7 patients survived without disease recurrence, and 2 experienced tumour recurrence. All patients had any-grade AEs,and 55.6%of the patients experienced grade 3 AEs.Fatigue was the most common AE,followed by elevated aminotransferase levels and hypertension. Conclusions:Stereotactic therapy is a feasible conversion therapy for HCC patients with extrahepatic metastases to become resectable. This is the first study to analyse therapeutic outcomes of patients receiving these therapies for HCC with extrahepatic metastases. | Xiaobo Yang Haifeng Xu Bangyou Zuo Xu Yang Jin Bian Junyu Long Dongxu Wang Junwei Zhang Cong Ning Yanyu Wang Ziyu Xun Yunchao Wang Xin Lu Yilei Mao Xinting Sang Haitao Zhao | 2021 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,4: | 17
Clinical diagnosis and treatment of alpha-fetoprotein-negative small hepatic lesions显示文摘Objective: We examined 103 cases over the last five years and discussed diagnosis and treatment of alpha- fetoprotein (AFP)-negative small hepatic lesions. Background: Small hepatic lesions (less than 2 cm in diameter) usually have no typical imaging characteristics and therefore are difficult to diagnose, especially when AFP tests provide a negative result. Methods: A total of 103 patients with AFP-negative small hepatic lesions from January 2003 to December 2008 were retrospectively reviewed. Differential diagnosis was performed by digital subtraction angiography (DSA), dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI), contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), or positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) based on the multiplicity of lesions. Ninety-four patients with suspected cancers underwent partial hepatectomy. Clinical data were collected from hospital records and follow-up questionnaires. Results: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnostic sensitivity of DSA, DCE-MRI, CEUS and PET-CT was 88.2%, 93.9%, 88.9% and 88.9%, respectively. The surgery-related complication rate was 6.4%. Prognosis was good, with 1- and 3-year survival rates of 98.8% and 76.1%, respectively. Conclusions: DSA, DCE-MRI, CEUS and PET-CT are valuable for diagnosis of small hepatic lesions. Partial hepatectomy is a preferred surgical procedure. Surgery for small liver cancers usually has little risk and good prognosis, therefore it can be actively applied in suspected HCC cases. | Yiyao Xu Xin Lu Yilei Mao Xinting Sang Haitao Zhao Shunda Du Haifeng Xu Yongliang Sun Huayu Yang Tianyi Chi Zhiying Yang Shouxian Zhong Jiefu Huang | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,4: | 6
Feed intake prediction model for group fish using the MEA-BP neural network in intensive aquaculture显示文摘In aquaculture, the accurate prediction of feed intake for group fish is considered to be crucial to any feeding system.Previous studies mainly used mathematical statistics to establish the mapping relationship between feed intake and influencing factors. The result was easily influenced by subjective experience. To solve the above issues, this paper proposed a feed intake prediction model for group fish using the back-propagation neural network(BPNN)and mind evolutionary algorithm(MEA).Firstly, four factors, including water temperature, dissolved oxygen, the average fish weight and the number of fish were selected as the input of the BPNN model.Secondly, the initial weight and threshold of the BPNN were optimized by the MEA to improve the matching precision. Finally, the prediction model was achieved after training.Experimental results showed that the correlation coefficient between the predicted and measured values reached 0.96.And the root mean squared error, mean square error, mean absolute error, mean absolute percent error of the model was 6.89,47.53,6.17 and 0.04,respectively.In addition, the proposed method also had the better nonlinear fitting ability than BPNN and GA-BP.By using an intelligent optimization algorithm, the mapping relationship between fish intake and environmental factors was automatically established, thus avoiding the subjectivity of traditional methods. Therefore,it can lay a theoretical foundation for the development of intelligent feeding equipment and meet the needs of the smart fishery. | Lan Chen Xinting Yang Chuanheng Sun Yizhong Wang Daming Xu Chao Zhou | 2020 | Information Processing in Agriculture2020,7,2: | 5
Identification of p100 target promoters by chromatin immunoprecipitation-guided ligation and selection (ChIP-GLAS)显示文摘The multifunctional protein p100 is a vital transcriptional regulator that increases gene transcription by forming a physical bridge between promoter-specific transcription factors and the basal transcription machinery. To identify potential signal transduction pathways in which human p100 acts as a coregulator and to find target promoter regions that may interact with p100,we performed a promoter microarray assay called chromatin immunoprecipitation-guided ligation and selection(ChIP-GLAS).From this assay,we determined that a set of promoter fragments, including several factors in the transforming growth factor beta(TGF-β)signaling pathway, exhibited interaction with p100.The ChIP-GLAS data were validated by RT-PCR assessing the mRNA expression of various factors in the TGF-b signaling pathway in cell lines. | Xin Liu Lijie Dong Xuejun Zhang Baoya Wang Xinting Wang Hu Li Jinyan He Lin Ge Xiang Jing Zhi Yao Jie Yang | 2011 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2011,8,1: | 3
Segmentation of thermal infrared images of cucumber leaves using K-means clustering for estimating leaf wetness duration显示文摘Leaf wetness duration(LWD)is a critical parameter used to predict plant disease, but its determination under actual field conditions is a major challenge. In this study,a method for determining LWD using thermal infrared imaging was developed and applied to cucumber plants grown in a solar greenhouse.Thermal images of the plant leaves were captured using an infrared scanning camera, and a leaf wetness area segmentation method consisting of two procedures was applied.First,a color space conversion was performed automatically by an image-processing algorithm. Then, the K-means clustering algorithm was applied to enable the segmentation of the wetness area on the thermal image.Subsequently,to enable overall thermal image analysis,an initial leaf wetness threshold(LWT)of 5%was defined(where wetness values higher than 5%indicated that the leaf was in a wet state). The results of comparative experiments conducted using thermal images of plant leaves captured using an infrared scanning camera and human visual observation indicated that the estimated LWD values were generally higher than the observed LWD values, because slight leaf wetness condensations were overlooked by the human eye but detected by the infrared scanning camera. While these differences were not found to be statistically significant in this study, the proposed method for determining LWD using thermal infrared imaging may provide a new LWD detection method for cucumber and other plants grown in solar greenhouses. | Dongmei Wen Aixin Ren Tao Ji Isabel Maria Flores-Parra Xinting Yang Ming Li | 2020 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,3: | 3
Agricultural cooperatives and the role of organisational models in new intelligent traceability systems and big data analysis显示文摘Traceability systems are key to assuring food safety, creating a benefit for food supply chain components.Currently, the appearance of new technologies such as IoT and Big Data Analysis leads to a new generation of more functional, but complex, traceability systems.Organisational models based on cooperation of multiple small/medium size agents, for example of small/family farming cooperatives, play an important role in high standard agricultural production and commercialization processes. These function as both social and economic networks, with high social and economic impact in the rural areas. The case of Almeria as an example of this model was used to analyze its cooperative model. The actual traceability systems in the Almeria model were studied, taking account of the different networked agents and their interrelation. This study includes two main parts:a)analysis of the net-chains that constitute the food supply chains and their different relationships, and b)actual traceability. The next step studied how the net-chain model, including many diverse agents, may be applied to develop a new generation of traceability systems based of IoT and Big Data. This implies extending the special and functional scope of the actual systems and defining clear rules of exchange of the results of the Big Data Analysis, taking account of the adequate Privacy Rules. This work analyses the current organisation as a base for a new generation of traceability systems considered in the European project IoF2020(Internet of the Food and Farm 2020).Some parallels between Almeria’s model and certain areas in China, mainly in the areas of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Shandong were detected.Another of the objectives of this work is to deepen the understanding of these similarities and analyze the possible adaptation of the results from Almeria to China. | Cynthia Giagnocavo Fernando Bienvenido Li Ming Zhao Yurong Jorge Antonio Sanchez-Molina Yang Xinting | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,5: | 2

Development and test verification of air temperature model for Chinese solar and Spainish Almeria-type greenhouses显示文摘Growth can be defined as an increment in biomass or an increment in weight or height of the organs of the plant influenced by physiological processes. Many of these processes have their limits genetically determined, but climate and irrigation play an important role.Because of its importance, microclimate has been extensively studied in the modeling as a surrounding condition which is imposed by the exterior climate. The main objective of this work was to develop a temperature model based on the energy balance dynamics at two different greenhouse locations-South-eastern Spain and Northern China, and the traditional structures of Chinese solar greenhouse and Almería-type multi-span greenhouse were taken into account. The final model was developed by combining the external conditions, the actuator influence and the crop growth, where the temperature is influenced by soil, crop, cover, actuators, back wall and greenhouse geometry. The model took into account the energy lost by convective and conductive fluxes,as well as the energy supplied by solar radiation and heating systems. The soil and the back wall are the main media for energy storage. The temperature dynamic was determined by a physical model, which considered the energy balance from a holistic point of view-as a sub-model for a customizable interface among the external climate, the plant and the greenhouse system. The influences of different subsystems included in the temperature model were analyzed and evaluated. The results showed a high R^(2)value of 0.94 for Beijing and 0.95 for Almeria, and the average error was low,of which the MAE and RMSE were 0.71 and 1.365 for Almeria and 0.62 and 1.102 for Beijing, respectively. Thus, the model can be considered as a powerful tool for control design purposes in microclimate systems. | Jorge Antonio Sanchez-Molina Li Ming Francisco Rodriguez Jose Luis Guzman Wang Hui Yang Xinting | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,4: | 2

Immunotherapy prototype Mark 3.0 model in primary liver cancer:adding locoregional stereotactic therapy and prognostic factors classification management显示文摘Immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)like programmed cell death-1(PD-1)/programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)inhibitor have shown considerable efficacy in several important cancers including primary liver cancer(PLC)like hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. However, only some patients with PLC will benefit,so combination therapy and biomarker classification detected by next-generation sequencing or immunohistochemistry are very important.Herein,we briefly summarize ICI-based therapies and stratify these evolving therapies for advanced PLC into three stages of immunotherapies Mark(Mk.)1.0,2.0,and 3.0.We illustrated the significance of ICI monotherapy(Mk.1.0),offering combinational approaches with traditional strategies(Mk.2.0)and additional locoregional therapy(Mk.3.0)to achieve longer survival and even meet the“No Evidence of Disease”status. We also highlight the importance of biomarkers and prognostic factors for patients with advanced PLC treated with ICI-based therapies.Multidisci-plinary team management should be investigated and collaborated closely to manage adverse events and sequential therapy suggestions for patients. | Xu Yang Nan Zhang Yang Song Xiaobo Yang Xinting Sang Haitao Zhao | 2022 | Medical Review2022,2,6: | 1

Automatic greenhouse pest recognition based on multiple color space features显示文摘Recognition and counting of greenhouse pests are important for monitoring and forecasting pest population dynamics. This study used image processing techniques to recognize and count whiteflies and thrips on a sticky trap located in a greenhouse environment. The digital images of sticky traps were collected using an image-acquisition system under different greenhouse conditions. If a single color space is used,it is difficult to segment the small pests correctly because of the detrimental effects of non-uniform illumination in complex scenarios. Therefore,a method that first segments object pests in two color spaces using the Prewitt operator in I component of the hue-saturation-intensity(HSI)color space and the Canny operator in the B component of the Lab color space was proposed. Then, the segmented results for the two-color spaces were summed and achieved 91.57%segmentation accuracy.Next, because different features of pests contribute differently to the classification of pest species, the study extracted multiple features(e.g.,color and shape features)in different color spaces for each segmented pest region to improve the recognition performance.Twenty decision trees were used to form a strong ensemble learning classifier that used a majority voting mechanism and obtains 95.73%recognition accuracy. The proposed method is a feasible and effective way to process greenhouse pest images. The system accurately recognized and counted pests in sticky trap images captured under real greenhouse conditions. | Zhankui Yang Wenyong Li Ming Li Xinting Yang | 2021 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,2: | 1
Method for segmentation of overlapping fish images in aquaculture显示文摘Individual fish segmentation is a prerequisite for feature extraction and object identification in any machine vision system. In this paper,a method for segmentation of overlapping fish images in aquaculture was proposed.First, the shape factor was used to determine whether an overlap exists in the picture. Then, the corner points were extracted using the curvature scale space algorithm, and the skeleton obtained by the improved Zhang-Suen thinning algorithm. Finally, intersecting points were obtained, and the overlapped region was segmented. The results show that the average error rate and average segmentation efficiency of this method was 10%and 90%,respectively.Compared with the traditional watershed method, the separation point is accurate, and the segmentation accuracy is high. Thus, the proposed method achieves better performance in segmentation accuracy and effectiveness. This method can be applied to multi-target segmentation and fish behavior analysis systems, and it can effectively improve recognition precision. | Chao Zhou Kai Lin Daming Xu Jintao Liu Song Zhang Chuanheng Sun Xinting Yang | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6: | 1
Asian, regional, and national burdens of respiratory tract cancers and associated risk factors from 1990 to 2019:A systematic analysis for the global burden of disease study 2019显示文摘Background:Respiratory cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, but its statistics vary between the East and West. This study aimed to estimate the burdens of tracheal, bronchus, and lung(TBL)cancer and larynx cancer and their attributable risks from 1990 to 2019 in Asia, and at regional and national levels. Methods:This research evaluated the incidence, mortality, years lived with disability, years of life lost, and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)for respiratory tract cancers using the Global Burden of Diseases,Injuries, and Risk Factors Study(GBD)2019 database.Age-standardized rates were calculated for TBL cancer from 1990 to 2019,adjusted for smoking and socio-demographic index(SDI).Deaths from TBL cancer and larynx cancer attributable to each risk factor were estimated for 33 Asian countries. Results:The age-standardized incidence and death rates for TBL cancer in Asia declined from 2010 to 2019,while the incidence rate of larynx cancer increased.Smoking was the leading specific risk factor for deaths from both TBL and larynx cancers. The burden of TBL cancer in Asian countries was influenced by SDI and smoking, particularly among males in Central Asia.Deaths,DALYs,and incidences of larynx cancer in East Asia had not changed significantly over the past 30 years, but showed slight downward trends in males and both sexes combined, and an upward trend in females in recent years. Conclusions:The past decade saw increases in numbers of incident cases and deaths from TBL cancer and larynx cancer in Asia.SDI and smoking were the main factors influencing the disease burden of TBL cancer in Asian countries. This study highlights the need for tailored cancer control programs to address the burden of respiratory tract cancers in different Asian countries. | Ran Zhong Xiuyu Cai Jianfu Li Peiling Chen Runchen Wang Xinting Li Feng Li Shan Xiong Caichen Li Huiting Wang Yang Xiang Shuting Zhan Ziwen Yu Haixuan Wang Chunyan Li Lixuan Lin Wenhai Fu Xin Zheng Shen Zhao Kang Zhang Jianxing He | 2023 | Chinese Medical Journal Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine2023,1,4: | 1

Nondestructive determination of the freshness change in bighead carp heads under variable temperatures by using excitation-emission matrix fl uorescence and back-propagation neural networks显示文摘This study established back-propagation neural networks(BPNNs)for evaluating the freshness of bighead carp(Hypophthalmichthys nobilis)heads during chilled storage via fluorescence spectroscopy using an excitation-emission matrix(EEM).The total volatile basic nitrogen(TVB-N)and total aerobic count(TAC)of fish increased obviously during storage at 0,4,8,12,and 16°C,while sensory scores decreased with increasing storage time. The EEM fluorescence intensity was measured, and its change was correlated with the freshness indicators of the samples.Three characteristic components of EEM data were extracted by parallel factor analysis, and two freshness indicators were used to construct the EEM-BPNNs model. The results demonstrated that the relative errors of the EEM-BPNNs model for TVB-N and TAC were less than 14%.This result indicated that the EEM-BPNNs model could determine the freshness of fish in cold chains in a rapid and nondestructive way. | Ce Shi Zengtao Ji Xinting Yang Zhixin Jia Ruize Dong Ge Shi | 2022 | Journal of Future Foods2022,2,2: | 0
Efficacy and safety of subsequent radiotherapy in patients with advanced-stage hepatocellular carcinoma treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors显示文摘Background:The development of immunotherapy resistance is associated with a poor prognosis in patients diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)who are undergoing treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICI).This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of subsequent radiotherapy(RT)for patients with advanced-stage HCC who had lesion enlargement or new lesions(NLs)during ICI therapy. Methods:This retrospective observational study enrolled 36 patients with advanced-stage HCC who underwent subsequent RT for lesion enlargement or NLs during ICI therapy from two centers. The primary endpoints were progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS).The secondary endpoints included objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),1-and 2-year local control(LC)rates,in-field PFS(IFPFS),out-field PFS(OFPFS),and safety. Results:The median follow-up time was 15.3 months. The median PFS was 7.4 months[95%confidence interval(CI):3.1-11.7 months],and the median OS was 18.8 months(95%CI:17.1-20.5 months).ORR and DCR were 38.9%and 72.2%,respectively.In addition, the median IFPFS was 17.8 months(95%CI:11.5-24.2 months),median OFPFS was 7.9 months(95%CI:3.4-12.5 months),and estimated 1-and 2-year LC rates were 67.1%and 31.9%,respectively.The most common treatment-related adverse events(all grades)were diarrhea(33.3%),rash(30.6%),and malaise(27.8%);a total of 14(38.9%)patients developed grade 3-4 AEs.Conclusions:Subsequent RT showed reliable antitumor effects and an acceptable safety profile in patients with advanced-stage HCC who had unsatisfactory response to ICI therapy;therefore,it could serve as an optional salvage strategy. | Cong Ning Jun Jia Xinmu Zhang Jing Sun Yunchao Wang Jingnan Xue Longhao Zhang Xiaorong Hou Xiaobo Yang Xinting Sang Xuezhang Duan Haitao Zhao | 2023 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2023,12,6: | 0
