| 1 | Carbon-coated mesoporous Co9S8 nanoparticles on reduced graphene oxide as a long-life and high-rate anode material for potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Carbon-coated mesoporous Co9S8 nanoparticles supported on reduced graphene oxide(rGO)are successfully synthesized by a simple process.This composite makes full use of the protection of the carbon layer on the surface,the good conductivity and three-dimensional(3D)structure of rGO,the mesoporous structure and nanoscale size of Co9S8,thereby presenting the excellent electrochemical performances in potassium-ion batteries,407.9 mAh·g^−1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 A·g^−1 and 215.1 mAh·g^−1 at 5 A·g^−1 in rate performances.After 1,200 cycles at 1.0 A·g^−1,this composite still remains a capacity of 210.8 mAh·g^−1.The redox reactions for potassium storage are revealed by ex-situ transmission electron microscope(TEM)/high-resolution TEM(HRTEM)images,selected area electron diffraction(SAED)patterns and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)spectra.The application of this composite as the host of sulfur for Li-S batteries is also explored.It sustains a capacity of 431.8 mAh·g^−1 after 800 cycles at 3 C,leading to a degradation of 0.052%per cycle.These results confirm the wide applications of this composite for electrochemical energy storage. | Guangyao Ma Xiao Xu Zhenyu Feng Chenjing Hu Yansong Zhu Xianfeng Yang Jian Yang Yitai Qian | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,3: | 9 |
| 2 | Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population,consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. | 3 | Immune responses of a designed HIV-1 DNA vaccine on rhesus monkeys显示文摘An effective HIV-1 vaccine will be the ultimate solution for the prevention of HIV/AIDS, though HAART plays important roles in treating the disease. In this study, a large-scale recombinant DNA plasmid containing a designed HIV-1 multi-epitope- p24 chimeric gene was prepared and purified. Rhesus monkeys were then inoculated muscularly with the plasmid for four times in week 0, 4, 8 and 18. Whole blood was collected two weeks after the third and fourth inoculation, followed by serum and pe- ripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) separation. The CTL activity and proliferation of PBMCs stimu- lated by macaque MHC-I-restricted HIV-1 CTL epi- tope peptide were analyzed by MTT and LDH release assay, respectively. Th1 cytokines in supernatant of cultured PBMC stimulated by HIV-1 CTL epitope peptide and anti-HIV-1 antibody in serum were as- sayed by ELISA. The results showed that increased CTL target-killing activity, higher secretion of Th1 cytokines (IFN-γ and IL-2) and promoted proliferative reaction of monkey PBMCs stimulated by HIV-1 CTL epitope peptide were detected in the immunization group inoculated by the recombinant DNA vaccine for three times, which were further enhanced by the fourth inoculation. At the same time, HIV-1 specific antibody in serum of immunized monkeys was higher than that in controls. | 4 | The small GTPase RABA2a recruits SNARE proteins to regulate the secretory pathway in parallel with the exocyst complex in Arabidopsis显示文摘Delivery of proteins to the plasma membrane occurs via secretion,which requires tethering,docking,priming,and fusion of vesicles.In yeast and mammalian cells,an evolutionarily conserved RAB GTPase activation cascade functions together with the exocyst and SNARE proteins to coordinate vesicle transport with fusion at the plasma membrane.However,it is unclear whether this is the case in plants.In this study,we show that the small GTPase RABA2a recruits and interacts with the VAMP721/722-SYP121-SNAP33 SNARE ternary complex for membrane fusion.Through immunoprecipitation coupled with mass spectrometry analysis followed by the validatation with a series of biochemical assays,we identified the SNARE proteins VAMP721 and SYP121 as the interactors and downstream effectors of RABA2a.Further expreiments showed that RABA2a interacts with all members of the SNARE complex in its GTP-bound form and modulates the assembly of the VAMP721/722-SYP121-SNAP33 SNARE ternary complex.Intriguingly,we did not observe the interaction of the exocyst subunits with either RABA2a or theSNARE proteins in several different experiments.Neither RABA2a inactivation affects the subcellular localization or assembly of the exocystnor the exocyst subunit mutant exo84b shows the disrupted RABA2a-SNARE association or SNARE assembly,suggesting that the RABA2a-SNARE-and exocyst-mediated secretory pathways are largely independent.Consistently,our live imaging experiments reveal that the two sets of proteins follow non-overlapping trafficking routes,and genetic and cell biologyanalyses indicate that the two pathways select different cargos.Finally,we demonstrate that the plant-specific RABA2a-SNARE pathway is essential for the maintenance of potassium homeostasis in Arabisopsis seedlings.Collectively,our findings imply that higher plants might have generated different endomembrane sorting pathways during evolution and may enable the highly conserved endomembrane proteins to participate in plant-specific trafficking mechanisms for adaptation to the changing environment. | Lei Pang Zhiming Ma Xi Zhang Yuanzhi Huang Ruili Li Yansong Miao Ruixi Li | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,3: | 2 |

| 8 | Placebo effect in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer:a meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:The majority of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)cases remain undiagnosed until advanced stages of the disease.Accumulating studies have highlighted the utility of palliative care as an effective treatment option,which relieves patients’suffering by activating placebo effect in the body.To evaluate the clinical significance of palliative care,data from NSCLC drug-randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were collected and the effects of placebo treatment examined.Methods:PubMed(MEDLINE),Scopus,Web of Science,and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases were searched from January 1,1978 to September 1,2020.Placebo-controlled phase II/III pharmaceutical RCTs enrolling patients with solely stage III/IV NSCLC were included.The quality of included studies was assessed using the Jadad method.Single-arm and two-arm meta-analyses of the therapeutic and adverse effects of placebo,that is,the primary and secondary outcome measures,were subsequently performed using either Bayesian or conventional models.Results:Five RCTs including 2245 drug-treated and 1510 placebo-treated patients at NSCLC stage III or IV were included for the study.Low risk of bias was observed for all five included studies using the Cochrane method.Following placebo treatment,controlled disease rate of 24.1%(95%credible interval[CrI],-0.126-0.609)and dropout rate of 2.1%(95%CrI,0.007-0.039)were calculated,with a dose reduction rate of 3.0%(95%CrI,0.017-0.045).Compared with active drug treatment,the placebo treatment group had a risk ratio of 0.81(95%confidence interval,0.68-0.97)and 0.85(95%confidence interval,0.76-0.96)for the achievement of progression-free survival and overall survival,respectively.Conclusion:In NSCLC drug RCTs,placebo treatment is indicated to generally induce low toxicity in patients by dropout and dose reduction rates and adverse events,although the therapeutic responses could not be precisely determined.The results suggest that under specific circumstances,palliative care which can activate placebo effect may have similar effects as active drugs(such as erlotinib,vandetanib,or pemetrexed)in terms of prolonging survival time. | Siyuan Ren Mengyao Ma Chuan He Yuhui Deng Xiaoyun Chen Yonglin Liu Yangyang Jin Yansong Liu Lei Cai Lin He | 2022 | Journal of Bio-X Research2022,5,3: | 1 |

| 11 | A high-resolution transcriptomic atlas depicting nitrogen fixation and nodule development in soybean显示文摘Although root nodules are essential for biological nitrogen fixation in legumes,the cell types and molecular regulatory mechanisms contributing to nodule development and nitrogen fixation in determinate nodule legumes,such as soybean(Glycine max),remain incompletely understood.Here,we generated a single-nucleus resolution transcriptomic atlas of soybean roots and nodules at 14 days post inoculation(dpi)and annotated 17 major cell types,including six that are specific to nodules.We identified the specific cell types responsible for each step in the ureides synthesis pathway,which enables spatial compartmentalization of biochemical reactions during soybean nitrogen fixation.By utilizing RNA velocity analysis,we reconstructed the differentiation dynamics of soybean nodules,which differs from those of indeterminate nodules in Medicago truncatula.Moreover,we identified several putative regulators of soybean nodulation and two of these genes,GmbHLH93 and GmSCL1,were as-yet uncharacterized in soybean.Overexpression of each gene in soybean hairy root systems validated their respective roles in nodulation.Notably,enrichment for cytokinin-related genes in soybean nodules led to identification of the cytokinin receptor,GmCRE1,as a prominent component of the nodulation pathway.GmCRE1 knockout in soybean resulted in a striking nodule phenotype with decreased nitrogen fixation zone and depletion of leghemoglobins,accompanied by downregulation of nodule-specific gene expression,as well as almost complete abrogation of biological nitrogen fixation.In summary,this study provides a comprehensive perspective of the cellular landscape during soybean nodulation,shedding light on the underlying metabolic and developmental mechanisms of soybean nodule formation. | Baocheng Sun Yu Wang Qun Yang Han Gao Haiyu Niu Yansong Li Qun Ma Qing Huan Wenfeng Qian Bo Ren | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,6: | 0 |

| 14 | Anti-aging performance improvement and enhanced combustion efficiency of boron via the coating of PDA显示文摘Boron is an ambitious fuel in energetic materials since its high heat release values,but its application is prohibited by low combustion efficiency and oxidization during storage.The polydopamine(PDA)was introduced into boron particles,investigating the impact of PDA content on the energetic behavior of boron.The results indicated that the PDA coating formed a fishing net structure on the surface of boron particles.The heat release results showed that the combustion calorific value of B@PDA was higher than that of the raw boron.Specifically,the actual combustion heat of boron powder in B@10%PDA increased by 38.08%.Meanwhile,the DSC peak temperature decreased by 100.65℃under similar oxidation rate compared to raw boron.Simultaneously,the B@PDA@AP and B@AP composites were prepared,and their combustion properties were evaluated.It was demonstrated that B@10%PDA@AP exhibited superior performance in terms of peak pressure and burning time,respectively.The peak pressure is 12.43 kPa more than B@AP and burning time is 2.22 times higher than B@AP.Therefore,the coating of PDA effectively inhibits the oxidization of boron during storage and enhances the energetic behavior of boron and corresponding composites. | Shuai Ma Qinghai Shu Mengyang Zhang Hongyu Huang Yansong Shi Xijuan Lv Shuai Zhao | 2024 | Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,33,3: | 0 |
| 15 | Geographical distribution of GmTfl1 alleles in Chinese soybean varieties显示文摘Stem growth habit is an important agronomic trait in soybean and is subject to artificial selection. This study aimed to provide a theory for genotypic selection of stem growth habit for breeding purposes by analyzing the alleles of Gm Tfl1 gene in Chinese soybean varieties and establishing a database of Gm Tfl1 variation. Using knowledge of insertion and deletion(Indel) in the non-coding region and four single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in the coding sequences of the Gm Tfl1 gene, four CAPS and one Indel markers were developed and used to test 1120 Chinese soybean varieties. We found that the dominant Gm Tfl1 allele was prevalent in accessions from the Northern ecoregion, whereas the recessive allele, Gmtfl1, was more common in the Southern ecoregion, and the proportions of Gm Tfl1 and recessive alleles were respectively 40.1% and 59.9% in the Huang-Huai ecoregion. The proportion of Gm Tfl1 decreased and that of Gmtfl1 increased, gradually from north to south. Allele Gm Tfl1-a was present in higher proportions in the Huang-Huai spring, Huang-Huai summer, and Northern spring sub-ecoregions than that in the other sub-ecoregions. Gm Tfl1-b was common in the Northeast spring, Northern spring and Southern summer sub-ecoregions. Gmtfl1-ta was found mainly in the Huang-Huai spring,Huang-Huai summer and Southern spring sub-ecoregions. The Gmtfl1-ab allele was distributed in all six soybean sub-ecoregions. The Gmtfl1-bb allele was distributed mainly in the Huang-Huai spring and summer and Southern spring and summer sub-ecoregions,but the Gmtfl1-tb allele was detected only in the Huang-Huai summer sub-ecoregion. The distributions of Gm Tfl1 and Gmtfl1 have shown no large changes in nearly 60 years of breeding, but the frequency of the recessive genotype Gmtfl1 has shown a rising trend in the last 20 years.
