1Observation of Wind Shear during Evening Transition and an Estimation of Submicron Aerosol Concentrations in Beijing Using a Doppler Wind Lidar显示文摘The wind speed and direction measured over six months by a Doppler wind lidar(Windcube-8)were compared with wind cup anemometers mounted on the 325-m Beijing meteorological tower(BMT).Five mountain–plain wind cases characterized by wind direction shear were selected based on the high-frequency(1.1 s)wind profile of the Windcube-8 and analyzed with 1-h mesoscale surface weather charts.Also analyzed was the relationship between insitu PM_1(aerodynamic diameter≤1μm)concentrations measured at 260 m on BMT and the carrier-to-noise ratio(CNR)of the co-located Windcube-8.The results showed that the 10-min averaged wind speed and direction were highly correlated(R=0.96–0.99)at three matched levels(80,140,and 200 m).The evening transition duration was1–3 h,with an average wind speed of 1 m s^(–1) at 80 m above the ground.In addition,there was a zero horizontalwind-speed zone along the wind direction shear line,and in one case,the wind speed was characterized by a Kelvin–Helmholtz gravity wave.The variability of the PM_1 concentrations was captured by the CNR of the Windcube-8 in a fair weather period without the long-range transport of dust.Yong CHEN Junling AN Xiquan WANG Yele SUN Zifa WANG Jing DUAN 2017Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,2:5

3Nocturnal Low-levelWinds and Their Impacts on Particulate Matter over the Beijing Area显示文摘Three-month wind profiles, 260 m PM_1 concentrations [i.e., particulate matter(PM) with an aerodynamic diameter ≤1μm], and carrier-to-noise ratio data at two Beijing sites 55 km apart(urban and suburban) were collected to analyze the characteristics of low-level nocturnal wind and PM in autumn and winter. Three mountain-plain wind events with wind shear were selected for analysis. The measurements indicated that the maximum wind speeds of the northerly weak low-level jet(LLJ) below 320 m at the suburban site were weaker than those at the urban site, and the LLJ heights and depths at the suburban site were lower than those at the urban site. The nocturnal 140 m mean vertical velocities and the variations in vertical velocity at the urban site were larger than those at the suburban site. A nocturnal breeze with a weak LLJ of ~3 m s^(-1) noticeably offset nocturnal PM transport due to southerly flow and convergence within the northern urban area of Beijing. 9Cross-boundary transport and source apportionment for PM_(2.5) in a typical industrial city in the Hebei Province,China:A modeling study显示文摘Cross-boundary transport of air pollution is a difficult issue in pollution control for the North China Plain.In this study,an industrial district(Shahe City)with a large glass manufactur-ing sector was investigated to clarify the relative contribution of fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))to the city's high levels of pollution.The Nest Air Quality Prediction Model System(NAQPMS),paired with Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF),was adopted and applied with a spatial resolution of 5 km.During the study period,the mean mass concentrations of PM_(2.5),SO_(2),and NO_(2)were observed to be 132.0,76.1,and 55.5μg/m^(3),respectively.The model reproduced the variations in pollutant concentrations in Shahe at an acceptable level.The simulation of online source-tagging revealed that pollutants emitted within a 50-km radius of downtown Shahe contributed 63.4%of the city's total PM_(2.5)concentration.This contribu-tion increased to 73.9±21.2%when unfavorable meteorological conditions(high relative hu-midity,weak wind,and low planetary boundary layer height)were present;such conditions are more frequently associated with severe pollution(PM_(2.5)≥250μg/m^(3)).The contribution from Shahe was 52.3±21.6%.The source apportionment results showed that industry(47%),transportation(10%),power(17%),and residential(26%)sectors were the most important sources of PM_(2.5)in Shahe.The glass factories(where chimney stack heights were normally<70 m)in Shahe contributed 32.1%of the total PM_(2.5)concentration in Shahe.With an in-crease in PM_(2.5)concentration,the emissions from glass factories accumulated vertically and narrowed horizontally.At times when pollution levels were severe,the horizontally influ-enced area mainly covered Shahe.Furthermore,sensitivity tests indicated that reducing emissions by 20%,40%,and 60% could lead to a decrease in themass concentration of PM_(2.5) of of 12.0%,23.8%,and 35.5%,respectively.Xiaoyong Liu Xiaole Pan Jie Li Xi Chen Hang Liu Yu Tian Yuting Zhang Shandong Lei Weijie Yao Qi Liao Yele Sun Zifa Wang Hong He 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5:1

11Transport Patterns and Potential Sources of Atmospheric Pollution during the ⅩⅩⅣ Olympic Winter Games Period显示文摘The attainment of suitable ambient air quality standards is a matter of great concern for successfully hosting the ⅩⅩⅣ Olympic Winter Games(OWG). Transport patterns and potential sources of pollutants in Zhangjiakou(ZJK) were investigated using pollutant monitoring datasets and a dispersion model. The PM_(2.5) concentration during February in ZJK has increased slightly(28%) from 2018 to 2021, mostly owing to the shift of main potential source regions of west-central Inner Mongolia and Mongolian areas(2015–18) to the North China Plain and northern Shanxi Province(NCPS) after 2018.Using CO as an indicator, the relative contributions of the different regions to the receptor site(ZJK) were evaluated based on the source-receptor-relationship method(SRR) and an emission inventory. We found that the relative contribution of pollutants from NCPS increased from 33% to 68% during 2019–21. Central Inner Mongolia(CIM) also has an important impact on ZJK under unfavorable weather conditions. 12Relationship between the geochemistry of organic matter and the generation of palygorskite in Jiangsu-Anhui border and Gansu Province,China显示文摘Soluble organic matter had been separated from several palygorskite and bentonite samples in the Ji-angsu-Anhui border area(across Jiangsu Province and Anhui Province) and Linze County in Gansu Province of China and was analyzed with the techniques and methods of organic geochemistry.The composition and distribution of hydrocarbons were analyzed by gas chromatography(GC).Organic stable carbon isotopic ratios(δ13C) in typical samples were determined.The abundance of soluble organic matter in all clay samples analyzed was low.In Ji-angsu-Anhui samples,the preservation states of organic matter are different;hydrocarbons in organic matter have some features of aquatic plankton but are short of the input of terrigenous higher plants;organic δ13C in a palygor-skite of Yongxiaoshan in Xuyi County,Jiangsu Province,is-6.72‰.These features may be typical of a sedimentary environment of closed or semi-closed and relatively isolated different waters near coast or seashore.On the contrary,in samples from Gansu,the preservation states of organic matter are good;the GC graphs of hydrocarbons show that the precursors of the organic matter are from a mixed source of aquatic organisms and land-sourced higher plants;organic δ13C of a palygorskite from Yangtai of Gansu is-15.62‰.It indicated that the sedimentary environment may be an inland salty lake.Preliminary results suggest that palygorskite minerals in the Jiangsu-Anhui area may be evolved from rapidly accumulated fine material or volcanic ash,but clays in Gansu Province may be transformed from terrigenous inorganic clastic components carried to the lake through river and then deposited.The generation process of the samples studied in the paper seems to be related to salty water.CHEN Chuanping XU Yaping WANG Xiaotian JIN Yeling CHEN Jing 2012Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2012,31,3:1
13Aerosol characterization in a city in central China plain and implications for emission control显示文摘Extensive studies on aerosol chemistry have been carried out in megacities in China,however,aerosol characterization in Central China Plain(CCP)is limited.Here we conducted real-time measurements of fine particle composition with a time-of-flight aerosol chemical speciation monitor in Kaifeng,Henan province in October 2019.Our results showed that nitrate and organics constituted the major fraction of non-refractory PM_(2.5)for the entire study,on average accounting for 34%and 33%,respectively.However,aerosol composition was substantially different among four periods due to different meteorological conditions and chemical processing.For instance,nitrate presented the lowest contribution during the first period due to evaporative loss associated with high temperature(T),and then rapidly increased during polluted periods as a function of relative humidity(RH).Positive matrix factorization analysis showed the dominance of secondary organic aerosol(SOA)in OA,and also the changes in OA composition under different T and RH levels.In addition,this study is unique with two periods of local emission controls.Back trajectory and coefficient of divergence analysis showed that air pollution in CCP was overall homogeneously distributed.As a result,the effectiveness of local emission controls in this region was strongly affected by meteorological conditions and regional transport.We found that one of the periods with emission control even showed the highest concentrations for the entire study.Our results point towards the limited effect of local emission controls in mitigating air pollution in CCP,and highlight the importance of joint emission controls under unfavorable meteorological conditions.Zhijie Li Lu Lei Yanpei Li Chun Chen Qingqing Wang Wei Zhou Jiaxing Sun Conghui Xie Yele Sun 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,6:1
14Comparative cost analysis of three different anesthesia methods in gynecological laparoscopic surgery显示文摘In the current study,we assessed and evaluated the costs and benefits of three popular methods of general anesthesia practiced in our department for gynecological laparoscopic surgery in recent years.Sixty adult female patients who underwent elective gynecological laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia were randomly divided into three groups:group Ⅴ,group Ⅰ and group C.In group Ⅴ,anesthesia was induced intravenously with midazolam,remifentanil,propofol and vecuronium,and maintained with continuous infusion of propofol and remifentanil.In group Ⅰ,anesthesia was intravenously induced with midazolam,fentanyl,propofol and vecuronium,and maintained with inhaled isoflurane and intravenous bonus of fentanyl.In group C,anesthesia was induced as in group Ⅰ,but maintained with isoflurane inhalation combined with propofolremifentanil infusion.All patients received vecuronium for muscle relaxation.Perioperative incidences of complications and total anesthesia costs for patients in all groups were recorded.In addition,postoperative satisfaction of the patients was also noted,and similar outcomes of the satisfaction were reported in all 60 patients.Although there was no statistical significance among groups,the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting were higher in group C,and the rates of shivering and the needs for analgesics were higher in group Ⅴ.Anesthesia costs in group Ⅰ were the lowest.Therefore,it is concluded that the costs of anesthesia induced with midazolam,fentanyl,propofol,vecuronium,and maintained with isoflurane,fentanyl and vecuronium are cheapest,and there is no significant difference in patients’satisfaction and safety among the three above-mentioned methods of anesthesia in our department.Xiaohui Chi Yeling Chen Mingfeng Liao Fei Cao Yuke Tian Xueren Wang 2012Frontiers of Medicine2012,6,3:0
15High MXene loading, nacre-inspired MXene/ANF electromagnetic interference shielding composite films with ultralong strain-tofailure and excellent Joule heating performance显示文摘The high power density and intelligence of next-generation flexible electronic devices bring many challenges to fabricate flexible composite films with electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding effectiveness(SE)property and excellent toughness via a simple method.Herein,inspired by the layered structure and biopolymer matrix networks in natural nacre,nacre-like layered Ti_(3)C2TX(MXene)/aramid nanofiber(ANF)films were fabricated through sol-gel,vacuum-assisted filtration,and hot-pressing.Three-dimensional(3D)interconnected aramid nanofibers networks between adjacent layered MXene result in an ultralong strain-to-failure of the film.Even though the functional filler MXene contents are as high as 60 wt.%and 70 wt.%,the strain-to-failure of the films could reach astonishing values of 18.34%±1.86%and 14.43%±1.26%,respectively.And the tensile strength could maintain about 85 MPa.Excitingly,with such a high filler,the film can also withstand double folding and vigorous rubbing without damage,which could better adapt to a harsh application environment.The result means that this work provides a convenient way to prepare other high functional filler composite films with excellent mechanical performance.The EMI SE values could reach 45 and 52.15 dB at 60 wt.%and 70 wt.%MXene in 8.2–12.4 GHz.Meanwhile,the films have prominent Joule heating properties,high sensitivity(<15 s),small voltage operation(0.5 V),and high operation constancy(1300 s).Therefore,nacre-inspired MXene/ANF composite films in this work have ability to apply in many areas including communication technology,military,and aerospace.Jiaen Wang Tianliang Song Wei Ming Moxi Yele Longfu Chen Hao Zhang Xiaojuan Zhang Benliang Liang Guangsheng Wang 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
