1Metal-organic framework-derived Fe/Cu-substituted Co nanoparticles embedded in CNTs-grafted carbon polyhedron for Zn-air batteries显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)and MOF-derived materials have attracted great attention as alternatives to noble-metal based electrocatalysts owing to their intriguing structure properties,especially for high efficiency and stable oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Herein,we employed a one-pot reaction to make a multimetal(Fe,Co,Cu,and Zn)mixed zeolitic imidazolate framework(MM-ZIF)via adopting a simple in situ redox reaction.Further pyrolysis of the target MM-ZIF,a highly porous carbon polyhedron(FC-C@NC)grafted with abundant carbon nanotubes was obtained,in which ultrasmall Co nanoparticles with partial lattice sites substituted by Fe and Cu were embedded.The obtained FC-C@NC possessed large surface area,highly porous structure,widely-spread metal active sites,and conductive carbon frameworks,contributing to outstanding ORR activity and long-term stability.It displayed superior tolerance to methanol crossover and exceeded the commercial Pt/C catalyst and most previously reported non-noble-metal catalysts.Impressively,the as-produced FC-C@NC-based zinc-air battery afforded an open-circuit potential of 1.466 V,a large specific capacity of 659.5 mAh/g,and a high gravimetric energy density of 784.3 Wh/kgZn,significantly outperforming the Pt/C-based cathode.Kexin Zhang Yelong Zhang Qinghua Zhang Zibin Liang Lin Gu Wenhan Guo Bingjun Zhu Shaojun Guo Ruqiang Zou 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,2:7
2Realization of population inversion between 7S_(1/2) and 6P_(3/2) levels of cesium for four-level active optical clock显示文摘We demonstrate experimentally the population inversion between 7S1/2 and 6P3/2 levels of cesium in thermal cesium cell with a 455.5 nm pumping laser.We calculate the relative population probabilities at each level theoretically with the density matrix method.In a steady state,5.8% atoms are at 7S1/2 level and 2.9% at 6P3/2 level,which builds up the population inversion between the two levels.We obtain the fluorescence spectra produced in thermal cesium cell in our experiment.The measured relative intensity of each available fluorescence spectral line in the experiment agrees very well with the theoretical result.The demonstrated population inversion between 7S1/2 and 6P3/2 levels can be used to construct an active optical clock of four-level system with a wavelength of 1469.9 nm.WANG YanFei WANG DongYing ZHANG TongGang HONG YeLong ZHANG ShengNan TAO ZhiMing XIE XiaoPeng CHEN JingBiao 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,6:6

43D star-like atypical hybrid MOF derived single-atom catalyst boosts oxygen reduction catalysis显示文摘Developing high-efficiency,stable and non-precious electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is highly important for energy conversion and storage.Single atom catalysts(SACs)show good potential in enhancing ORR,however,the specifical control over the coordination surroundings around single metal center to intrinsically modify the electron structure is still a great challenge.Herein,we demonstrate that a 3 D hybrid MOF composed of cobalt doped ZIF-L and ZIF-8,featuring star morphology with six equal branches,can be used as an advanced precursor for making the Co SACs for greatly boosted ORR.The as-synthesized Co_(SA)-N-C exhibits excellent ORR activity with E_(1/2) of 0.891 V in alkaline medium,outperforming the commercial Pt/C by 39 m V.Moreover,the E_(1/2) of Co_(SA)-N-C(0.790 V)is merely 15 m V,less than that of Pt/C(0.805 V)in acid medium,which is among the best in the reported state-of-the-art SACs.DFT calculations demonstrate that the enhanced ORR performance is assigned to the formation of atomically isolated cobalt atom coordinated three N atoms and one C atom,which is easier to decrease the free energy of rate determining step and accelerate the ORR process than that of traditional cobalt atom coordinated four N atoms.In addition,a primary Zn-air battery with Co_(SA)-N-C cathode reveals a maximum power density of 92.2 m W cm^(-2) at 120.0 m A cm^(-2),far higher than that of commercial catalysts(74.2 m W cm^(-2) at 110.0 m A cm^(-2)).Lei Zhou Peng Zhou Yelong Zhang Bingyao Liu Peng Gao Shaojun Guo 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:4
5Li_2O_2 oxidation: the charging reaction in the aprotic Li-O_2 batteries显示文摘Aprotic Li-O2 battery has attracted a great deal of interest because of its high theoretical energy density that is far beyond what the best Li-ion technologies can achieve.However, the present Li-O2 batteries suffer from the low energy efficiency that is limited mainly by the high overpotentials required to re-oxidize Li2O2, the discharge product. Over the past few years, considerable research efforts have been devoted to the understanding of the Li2O2 oxidation reactions. Here, we summarize the results obtained from the fundamental study of the Li2O2 oxidation, including its morphology, reaction route, kinetics, the initial location upon oxidation and the charge transport within Li2O2. 6Strongly coupled Te-SnS_(2)/MXene superstructure with self-autoadjustable function for fast and stable potassium ion storage显示文摘Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)are a promising candidate for next-generation electric energy storage applications because of the abundance and low cost of potassium.However,the development of PIBs is limited by sluggish kinetics and huge volume expansion of anodes,leading to poor rate capability and cycling stability.Herein,an advanced superstructure anode,including Te-doped SnS_(2) nanosheets uniformly anchored on MXene surface(Te-SnS_(2)/MXene),is rationally designed for the first time to boost K^(+)storage performance.Featuring with strong interface interaction and self-autoadjustable interlayer spacings,the Te-SnS_(2)/MXene can efficiently accelerate electron/ion transfer,accommodate volume expansion,inhibit crack formation,and improve pseudocapacitive contribution during cycling.Thus,the novel Te-SnS_(2)/MXene anode delivers a high reversible capacity(343.2 mAh g^(-1) after 50 cycles at0.2 A g^(-1)),outstanding rate capability(186.4 mAh g^(-1) at 20 A g^(-1)),long cycle stability(165.8 mAh g^(-1)after 5000 cycles at 10 A g^(-1) with a low electrode swelling rate of only 15.4%),and reliable operation in flexible full battery.The present Te-SnS_(2)/MXene becomes among the best transition metal-based anode materials for PIBs reported to date.Hongyang Sun Yelong Zhang Xiaodan Xu Jianwen Zhou Fan Yang Hao Li Hao Chen Yucheng Chen Zheng Liu Zhenping Qiu Da Wang Lipo Ma Jiawei Wang Qingguang Zeng Zhangquan Peng 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:2
7Comparative Study of Two Carbon Fiber Cathodes and Theoretical Analysis in Microbial Fuel Cells on Ocean Floor显示文摘Cathode activity plays an important role in the improvement of the microbial fuel cells on ocean floor(BMFCs). A comparison study between Rayon-based(CF-R) and PAN-based carbon fiber(CF-P) cathodes is conducted in the paper. The two carbon fibers were heat treated to improve cell performance(CF-R-H & CF-P-H), and were used to build a new BMFCs structure with a foamy carbon anode. The maximum power density was 112.42 mW m-for CF-R-H, followed by 66.6 mW m-2 for CF-R, 49.7 mW m-2 for CF-P-H and 21.6 mW m-2 for CF-P respectively. The higher specific area and deep groove make CF-R have a better power output than with CF-P. Meanwhile, heat treatment of carbon fiber can improve cell power, nearly two-fold higher than heat treatment of plain fiber. This improvement may be due to the quinones group formation to accelerate the reduction of oxygen and electron transfer on the fiber surface in the three phase boundary after heat treatment. Compared to PAN-based carbon fiber, Rayon-based carbon fiber would be preferentially selected as cathode in novel BMFCs design due to its high surface area, low cost and higher power. 8Powder metallurgy processed metal-matrix friction materials for space applications显示文摘Owing to the increasing demand for tribological brakes for space applications, the development of novel materials and advanced technologies is necessary. This paper presents the design, characterization, and realization of powder metallurgy processed metal-matrix friction materials intended for the above-mentioned tribological brakes. Selecting appropriate ingredients, which provides an effective way to tailor the properties of the friction material, is evolving as a strategy to meet the design requirements. The tribological behaviors of the friction material are experimentally investigated under different conditions, and special attention is focused on the vacuum tribology. Examinations and analyses of the friction surface and subsurface corroborate the wear mechanism. In addition, the erosion resistances of the friction material are evaluated by exposure tests of ultraviolet irradiation and atomic oxygen. 16RESEARCH ON THE MOTION CHARACTERISTICS OF FIBER SUSPENSIONS IN A WEDGE-SHAPED FLOW显示文摘In this paper the motion of cylindrical particles in a wedge shaped flow was studied. The velocity distribution of wedge shaped flow was simulated first, then the Euler Lagrange model used to calculate the motion of cylindrical particles. The evolution of particle location, velocity and orientation with time was examined. The trajectories of the particles with different particle Stokes number, rate of flow and initial particle orientation were drawn. The results indicate that the Stokes number and initial orientation are important parameters which affect the particle motion. 18Study on the Characteristics ofSeismic Activity in West China andIts neighboring Regions显示文摘The controlling and influencing effects of the joint action of plates surrounding China on strong earthquakes in Chinese mainland are discussed, and the characteristics of seismic activities in the West of China and neighboring regions are further studied. The results show that the seismic activity in the West of China and neighboring regions not only has the characteristics of high tide and low tide alternation but also has the characteristics of rising in one region while falling in another, and the rise and fall of seismicity are in some proportion. 20Distribution of populations in excited states of electrodeless discharge lamp of Rb atoms显示文摘The intensity of fluorescence spectral lines of Rb atoms in the region of 350-1110nm is measured in eletrodeless discharge lamp. The population ratio between the excited states is calculated according to the spontaneous transition probabilities with rate equations. At the same time, the population density of energy level is also obtained.
