Perturbed Solving Method for Interdecadal Sea-air Oscillator Model显示文摘A coupled system of the interdecadal sea-air oscillator model is studied. The El Nio-southern oscillation(ENSO) atmospheric physics oscillation is an abnormal phenomenon involved in the tropical Pacific ocean-atmosphere interactions. The oscillator model is involved with the variations of both the eastern and western Pacific anomaly pat-terns.This paper proposes an ENSO atmospheric physics model using a method of the perturbation theory. The aim is to create an asymptotic solving method for the ENSO model.Employing the perturbed method, the asymptotic solution of corresponding problem is obtained, and the asymptotic behaviour of the solution is studied. Thus we can obtain the prognoses of the sea surface temperature anomaly and related physical quantities.MO Jiaqi LIN Yihua LIN Wantao CHEN Lihua 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,1:38
The strengthening East Asia summer monsoon since the early 1990s显示文摘Previous studies have documented a weakening tendency of the East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) since the end of the 1970s. In this study, we report that the EASM has been recovering since the early 1990s, although its strength is still less than in previous decades (averaged over the period 1965-1980). Following the recovery of the EASM, there has been a tendency in the last decade toward northward-moving rainbands and excessive rainfall in the Huaihe River valley (110°-120°E, 30°-35°N). There is evidence suggesting that the strengthening EASM since the early 1990s is linked to interdecadal change of land-sea thermal contrast.LIU HaiWen ZHOU TianJun ZHU YuXiang LIN YiHua 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,13:23
Variational iteration solving method for El Nio phenomenon atmospheric physics of nonlinear model显示文摘A class of El Nino atmospheric physics oscillation model is considered. The El Nino atmospheric physics oscillation is an abnormal phenomenon involved in the tropical Pacific ocean-atmosphere interactions. The conceptual oscillator model should consider the variations of both the eastern and western Pacific anomaly patterns. An El Nino atmospheric physics model is proposed using a method for the variational iteration theory. Using the variational iteration method, the approximate expansions of the solution of corresponding problem are constructed. That is, firstly, introducing a set of functional and accounting their variationals, the Lagrange multiplicators are counted, and then the variational iteration is defined, finally, the approximate solution is obtained. From approximate expansions of the solution, the zonal sea surface temperature anomaly in the equatorial eastern Pacific and the thermocline depth anomaly of the sea-air oscillation for El Nino atmospheric physics model can be analyzed. El Nino is a very complicated natural phenomenon. Hence basic models need to be reduced for the sea-air oscillator and are solved. The variational iteration is a simple and valid approximate method.MO Jiaqi WANG Hui LIN Wantao LIN Yihua 2005Acta Oceanologica Sinica2005,24,5:14
A cyclic nucleotide-gated channel mediates cytoplasmic calcium elevation and disease resistance in rice显示文摘The transient elevation of cytoplasmic calcium is essential for pathogen-associated molecular pattern(PAMP)-triggered immunity(PTI).However, the calcium channels responsible for this process have remained unknown. Here,we show that rice CDSI(CELL DEATH and SUSCEPTIBLE to BLAST 1)encoding OsCNGC9;a cyclic nucleotide-gated channel protein, positively regulates the resistance to rice blast disease. We show that OsCNGC9 mediates PAMP-induced Ca2+influx and that this event is critical for PAMPs-triggered ROS burst and induction of PTI-related defense gene expression. We further show that a PTI related receptor-lih cytoplasmic kinase OsRLCK185 physically interacts with and phosphorylates OsCNGC9 to activate its channel activity. Our results suggest a signaling cascade linking pattern recognition to calcium channel activation, which is required for initiation of PTI and disease resistance in rice.Jiachang Wang Xi Liu An Zhang Yulong Ren Fuqing Wu Gang Wang Yang Xu Cailin Lei Shanshan Zhu Tian Pan Yongfei Wang Huan Zhang Fan Wang Yan-Qiu Tan Yupeng Wang Xin Jin Sheng Luo Chunlei Zhou Xiao Zhang Jinling Liu Shuai Wang Lingzhi Meng Yihua Wang Xi Chen Qibing Lin Xin Zhang Xiuping Guo Zhijun Cheng Jiulin Wang Yunlu Tian Shijia Liu Ling Jiang Chuanyin Wu Ertao Wang Jian-Min Zhou Yong-Fei Wang Haiyang Wang Jianmin Wan 2019Cell Research2019,29,10:13
Transcriptional activation and phosphorylation of OsCNGC9 confer enhanced chilling tolerance in rice显示文摘Low temperature is a major environmental factor that limits plant growth and productivity.Although transient elevation of cytoplasmic calcium has long been recognized as a critical signal for plant cold tolerance, the calcium channels responsible for this process have remained largely elusive. Here we report that OsCNGC9,a cyclic nucleotide-gated channel, positively regulates chilling tolerance by mediating cytoplasmic calcium elevation in rice(Oryza sativa). We showed that the loss-of-function mutant of OsCNGC9 is defective in cold-induced calcium influx and more sensitive to prolonged cold treatment, whereas OsCNGC9 overexpression confers enhanced cold tolerance.Mechanistically,we demonstrated that in response to chilling stress,OsSAPK8,a homolog of Arabidopsis thaliana OST1,phosphorylates and activates OsCNGC9 to trigger Ca2+influx.Moreover,we found that the transcription of OsCNGC9 is activated by a rice dehydration-responsive element-binding transcription factor,OsDREB1A.Taken together, our results suggest that OsCNGC9 enhances chilling tolerance in rice through regulating cold-induced calcium influx and cytoplasmic calcium elevation.Jiachang Wang Yulong Ren Xi Liu Sheng Luo Xiao Zhang Xin Liu Qibing Lin Shanshan Zhu Hua Wan Yang Yang Yu Zhang Bin Lei Chunlei Zhou Tian Pan Yongfei Wang Mingming Wu Ruonan jing Yang Xu Meng Han Fuqing Wu Cailin Lei Xiuping Guo Zhijun Cheng Xiaoming Zheng Yihua Wang Zhigang Zhao Ling Jiang Xin Zhang Yong-Fei Wang Haiyang Wang Jianmin Wan 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,2:10

Approximate Solution for Mechanism of Thermally and Wind-driven Ocean Circulation显示文摘The thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is a complicated natural phenomenon in the atmospheric physics. Hence we need to reduce it using basic models and solve the models using approximate methods. A non-linear model of the thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is used in this paper. The results show that the zero solution of the linear equation is a stable focus point, which is the path curve trend origin point as time (t) trend to infinity. By using the homotopic mapping perturbation method, the exact solution of the model is obtained. The homotopic mapping perturbation method is an analytic solving method, so the obtained solution can be used for analytic operating sequentially. And then we can also obtain the diversified qualitative and quantitative behaviors for corresponding physical quantities.MO Jiaqi LIN Wantao LIN Yihua 2010Chinese Geographical Science2010,20,5:4
A climatic dataset of ocean vertical turbulent mixing coefficient based on real energy sources显示文摘Using data on wind stress, significant height of combined wind waves and swell, potential temperature, salinity and seawater velocity, as well as objectively-analyzed in situ temperature and salinity, we established a global ocean dataset of calculated wind- and tide-induced vertical turbulent mixing coefficients. We then examined energy conservation of ocean vertical mixing from the point of view of ocean wind energy inputs, gravitational potential energy change due to mixing(with and without artificially limiting themixing coefficient), and K-theory vertical turbulent parameterization schemes regardless of energy inputs. Our research showed that calculating the mixing coefficient with average data and artificial limiting the mixing coefficient can cause a remarkable lack of energy conservation, with energy losses of up to 90% and changes in the energy oscillation period. The data also show that wind can introduce a huge amount of energy into the upper layers of the Southern Ocean, and that tidesdo so in regions around underwater mountains. We argue that it is necessary to take wind and tidal energy inputs into account forlong-term ocean climate numerical simulations. We believe that using this ocean vertical turbulent mixing coefficient climatic dataset is a fast and efficient method to maintain the ocean energy balance in ocean modeling research.ZHANG Yu LIN YiHua HUANG RuiXin 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,10:3

Animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research:Current knowledge and optimal design--A position paper of the Committee on Cardiac Rehabilitation,Chinese Medical Doctors’Association显示文摘Growing evidence has demonstrated exercise as an effective way to promote cardiovascular health and protect against cardiovascular diseases However, the underlying mechanisms of the beneficial effects of exercise have yet to be elucidated.Animal exercise studies are widely used to investigate the key mechanisms of exercise-induced cardiovascular protection. However, standardized procedures and well-established evaluation indicators for animal exercise models are needed to guide researchers in carrying out effective,high-quality animal studies using exercise to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases. In our review,we present the commonly used animal exercise models in cardiovascular research and propose a set of standard procedures for exercise training, emphasizing the appropriate measurements and analysis in these chronic exercise models. We also provide recommendations for optimal design of animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research, including the choice of exercise models, control of exercise protocols, exercise at different stages of disease, and other considerations, such as age, sex, and genetic background. We hope that this position paper will promote basic research on exercise-induced cardiovascular protection and pave the way for successful translation of exercise studies from bench to bedside in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.Yihua Bei Lei Wang Rongjing Ding Lin Che Zhiqing Fan Wei Gao Qi Liang Shenghui Lin Suixin Liu Xiao Lu Yuqin Shen Guifu Wu Jian Yang Guolin Zhang Wei Zhao Lan Guo Junjie Xiao 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,6:2
Lymphangiogenesis contributes to exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth显示文摘Background:Promoting cardiac lymphangiogenesis exerts beneficial effects for the heart.Exercise can induce physiological cardiac growth with cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and increased proliferation markers in cardiomyocytes. However,it remains unclear whether and how lymphangiogenesis contributes to exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth. We aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of lymphangiogenesis in exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth. Methods:Adult C57 BL6/J mice were subjected to 3 weeks of swimming exercise to induce physiological cardiac growth.Oral treatment with vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3(VEGFR3) inhibitor SAR1 3 1 675 was used to investigate whether cardiac lymphangiogenesis was required for exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth by VEGFR3 activation.Furthermore, human dermal lymphatic endothelial cell(LEC)-conditioned medium was collected to culture isolated neonatal rat cardiomyocytes to determine whether and how LECs could influence cardiomyocyte proliferation and hypertrophy. Results:Swimming exercise induced physiological cardiac growth accompanied by a remarkable increase of cardiac lymphangiogenesis as evidenced by increased density of lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronic acid receptor 1-positive lymphatic vessels in the heart and upregulated LYVE-1 and Podoplanin expressions levels.VEGFR3 was upregulated in the exercised heart, while VEGFR3 inhibitor SAR131675 attenuated exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth as evidenced by blunted myocardial hypertrophy and reduced proliferation marker Ki67 in cardiomyocytes, which was correlated with reduced lymphatic vessel density and downregulated LYVE-1 and Podoplanin in the heart upon exercise.Furthermore,LEC-conditioned medium promoted both hypertrophy and proliferation of cardiomyocytes and contained higher levels of insulinlike growth factor-1 and the extracellular protein Reelin, while LEC-conditioned medium from LECs treated with SAR131675 blocked these effects.Functional rescue assays further demonstrated that protein kinase B(AKT) activation,as well as reduced CCAAT enhancer-binding protein beta(C/EBPβ) and increased CBP/p300-interacting transactivators with E(glutamic acid)/D(aspartic acid)-rich-carboxylterminal domain 4(CITED4),contributed to the promotive effect of LEC-conditioned medium on cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and proliferation. Conclusion:Our findings reveal that cardiac lymphangiogenesis is required for exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth by VEGFR3 activation, and they indicate that LEC-conditioned medium promotes both physiological hypertrophy and proliferation of cardiomyocytes through AKT activation and the C/EBPβ-CITED4 axis. These results highlight the essential roles of cardiac lymphangiogenesis in exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth.Yihua Bei Zhenzhen Huang Xing Feng Lin Li Meng Wei Yujiao Zhu Shuqin Liu Chen Chen Mingming Yin Huimin Jiang Junjie Xiao 2022Journal of Sport and Health Science2022,11,4:2
CAS-FGOALS Datasets for the Two Interglacial Epochs of the Holocene and the Last Interglacial in PMIP4显示文摘Two versions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System model(CASFGOALS),version f3-L and g3,are used to simulate the two interglacial epochs of the mid-Holocene and the Last Interglacial in phase 4 of the Paleoclimate Modelling Intercomparison Project(PMIP4),which aims to study the impact of changes in orbital parameters on the Earth’s climate.Following the PMIP4 experimental protocols, four simulations for the mid-Holocene and two simulations for the Last Interglacial have been completed, and all the data, including monthly and daily outputs for the atmospheric, oceanic, land and sea-ice components, have been released on the Earth System Grid Federation(ESGF)node. These datasets contribute to PMIP4 and CMIP6(phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project)by providing the variables necessary for the two interglacial periods. In this paper, the basic information of the CAS-FGOALS models and the protocols for the two interglacials are briefly described, and the datasets are validated using proxy records. Results suggest that the CAS-FGOALS models capture the large-scale changes in the climate system in response to changes in solar insolation during the interglacial epochs, including warming in mid-to-high latitudes, changes in the hydrological cycle, the seasonal variation in the extent of sea ice,and the damping of interannual variabilities in the tropical Pacific.Meanwhile, disagreements within and between the models and the proxy data are also presented. These datasets will help the modeling and the proxy data communities with a better understanding of model performance and biases in paleoclimate simulations.Weipeng ZHENG Yongqiang YU Yihua LUAN Shuwen ZHAO Bian HE Li DONG Mirong SONG Pengfei LIN and Hailong LIU 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,10:2
Fabrication of lanthanum doped yttria transparent ceramics显示文摘Yttria nanocrystalline powder doped with 9% lanthanum was synthesized by co-precipitation method using ammonia for pH adjusting. After calcinations, finer particles with narrow distribution and large surface area were obtained. After dry pressing, samples were sintered at 1500℃―1700℃ for 4 h in vacuum to produce transparent polycrystalline ceramics with uniform grains. Samples with 9 mol% lanthanum were transparent in visible light after being sintered at 1500℃ for 4 h. The grain sizes increased with lanthanum doping compared with those of pure yttria transparent ceramic sintered at the same conditions. Relative density of the transparent ceramic was 99.7%. The in-line transmittance was 73% at 580 nm wavelength after milling and polishing.HUANG YiHua JIANG DongLiang ZHANG JingXian LIN QingLing 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,12:2

On the integrity of a commercial cassette ultrafiltration membrane: implications for marine colloidal biogeochemistry显示文摘The performance and integrity of a cassette cross-flow ultrafilter(Pellicon 2, Millipore) are examined with a suite of macromolecules of different molecular masses. The retention coefficient during the cross-flow ultrafiltration experiments increases with increasing molecular mass and reaches 90% with 10 kDa dextran in both milli-Q water and ultrafiltered seawater media. Based on a 90% retention coefficient, the molecular mass cut-off for the ultrafiltration membrane is defined at 10 kDa, which is ten times(1 kDa) that rated by the manufacturer. To further validate the accuracy of the laboratory calibration, the samples from the lower Zhujiang River and the Jiulong River Estuary are ultrafiltered with the cassette ultrafiltration membrane and the colloidal organic carbon abundances in these samples are quantified with the ultrafiltration permeation model based on time series permeation subsamples. The colloidal organic carbon abundances are 5.8%–21.1% in the Jiulong River Estuary and 5.6%–11.0% in the lower Zhujiang River. These are consistent with the reported values for both estuaries as well as with the colloidal organic carbon abundances in marine environments over the coastal and open oceans with 10 kDa cut-off membranes. Therefore, these field data support the laboratory calibration result and indicate the validity of the experimental and quantification procedure adopted. The discrepancy between the nominal molecular mass cut-off and the actual pore size of the ultrafiltration membrane should be of great concern for research in colloidal and nanoparticle biogeochemistry. Careful examination of the membrane integrity should be taken during ultrafiltration experiments in order to avoid misleading molecular mass cut-off information.LIN Liangshi CAI Yihua SUN Xiuwu CHEN Min 2014Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,9:1
