1Artificial intelligence in healthcare:past,present and future显示文摘Artificial intelligence(AI)aims to mimic human cognitive functions.It is bringing a paradigm shift to healthcare,powered by increasing availability of healthcare data and rapid progress of analytics techniques.We survey the current status of AI applications in healthcare and discuss its future.AI can be applied to various types of healthcare data(structured and unstructured).Popular AI techniques include machine learning methods for structured data,such as the classical support vector machine and neural network,and the modern deep learning,as well as natural language processing for unstructured data.Major disease areas that use AI tools include cancer,neurology and cardiology.We then review in more details the AI applications in stroke,in the three major areas of early detection and diagnosis,treatment,as well as outcome prediction and prognosis evaluation.We conclude with discussion about pioneer AI systems,such as IBM Watson,and hurdles for real-life deployment of AI.Fei Jiang Yong Jiang Hui Zhi Yi Dong Hao Li Sufeng Ma Yilong Wang Qiang Dong Haipeng Shen Yongjun Wang 2017Stroke & Vascular Neurology2017,2,4:76
2Stenting for symptomatic intracranial arterial stenosis in China:1-year outcome of a multicentre registry study显示文摘background and purpose A multicentre prospective registry study of individually tailored stenting for a patient with symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(ICAS)combined with poor collaterals in China showed that the short-term safety and efficacy of stenting was acceptable.However,it remained uncertain whether the low event rate could be of a long term.We reported the 1-year outcome of this registry study to evaluate the long-term efficacy of individually tailored stenting for patients with severe symptomatic ICAS combined with poor collaterals.Methods Patients with symptomatic ICAS caused by 70%-99% stenosis located at the intracranial internal carotid,middle cerebral,intracranial vertebral or basilar arteries combined with poor collaterals were enrolled.Balloon-mounted stent or balloon plus self-expanding stent were selected based on the ease of vascular access and lesion morphology determined by the operators.The primary outcome was the rate of 30-day stroke,transient ischaemic attack and death,and 12-month ischaemic stroke within the same vascular territory,haemorrhagic stroke and vascular death after stenting.results From September 2013 to January 2015,300 patients(ages 58.3±9.78 years)were recruited.Among them,159 patients were treated with balloon-mounted stent and 141 with balloon plus self-expanding stent.During the 1-year follow-up,25 patients had a primary end point event.The probability of primary outcome at 1 year was 8.1%(95% CI 5.3% to 11.7%).In 76 patients with digital subtraction angiography follow-up,27.6%(21/76)had re-stenosis≥50% and 18.4%(14/76)had re-stenosis≥70%.No baseline characteristic was associated with the primary outcome.Conclusion The event rate remains low over 1 year of individually tailored stenting for patients with severe symptomatic ICAS combined with poor collaterals.Further randomised trial of comparing individually tailored stenting with best medical therapy is needed.Ning Ma Yong Zhang Jie Shuai Changchun Jiang Qiyi Zhu Kangning Chen Li Liu Baomin Li Xiangqun Shi Lianbo Gao Yajie Liu Feng Wang Yongli Li Tieyan Liu Hongbo Zheng Dapeng Mo Feng Gao Yilong Wang Yongjun Wang Lei Feng Zhongrong Miao 2018Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,3:29
3Identification and fine mapping of two blast resistance genes in rice cultivar 93-11显示文摘Rice blast, caused by Magnaporthe oryzae, is a major disease of rice almost worldwide. The Chinese indica cultivar 93-11 is resistant to numerous isolates of the blast fungus in China, and can be used as broad-spectrum resistance resource, particularly in japonica rice breeding programs. In this study, we identified and mapped two blast resistance genes, Pi60(t) and Pi61(t), in cv. 93-11 using F2 and F3 populations derived from a cross between the susceptible cv. Lijiangxintuanheigu(LTH) and resistant cv. 93-11 and inoculated with M. oryzae isolates from different geographic origins. Pi60(t) was delimited to a 274 kb region on the short arm of chromosome 11, flanked by InDel markers K1-4 and E12 and cosegregated with InDel markers B1 and Y10. Pi61(t) was mapped to a 200 kb region on the short arm(near the centromere) of chromosome 12, flanked by InDel markers M2 and S29 and cosegregating with InDel marker M9. In the 274 kb region of Pi60(t), 93-11 contains six NBS-LRR genes including the two Pia/ PiCO39 alleles(BGIOSGA034263 and BGIOSGA035032) which are quite close to the two Pia/ PiCO39 alleles(SasRGA4 and SasRGA5) in Sasanishiki and CO39, with only nine amino acids differing in the protein sequences of BGIOSGA035032 and SasRGA5. In the 200 kb region of Pi61(t), 93-11 contains four NBS-LRR genes, all of which show high identities in protein sequence with their corresponding NBS-LRR alleles in susceptible cv. Nipponbare. Comparison of the response spectra and physical positions between the target genes and other R genes in the same chromosome regions indicated that Pi60(t) could be Pia/PiCO39 or its allele, whereas Pi61(t) appears to be different from Pita, Pita-2, Pi19(t), Pi39(t) and Pi42(t) in the same R gene cluster. 4Brain network markers of abnormal cerebral glucose metabolism and blood flow in Parkinson's disease显示文摘Neuroimaging of cerebral glucose metabolism and blood flow is ideally suited to assay widely-distributed brain circuits as a result of local molecular events and behavioral modulation in the central nervous system.With the progress in novel analytical methodology,this endeavor has succeeded in unraveling the mechanisms underlying a wide spectrum of neurodegenerative diseases.In particular,statistical brain mapping studies have made significant strides in describing the pathophysiology of Parkinson's disease(PD)and related disorders by providing signature biomarkers to determine the systemic abnormalities in brain function and evaluate disease progression,therapeutic responses,and clinical correlates in patients.In this article,we review the relevant clinical applications in patients in relation to healthy volunteers with a focus on the generation of unique spatial covariance patterns associated with the motor and cognitive symptoms underlying PD.These characteristic biomarkers can be potentially used not only to improve patient recruitment but also to predict outcomes in clinical trials.Shichun Peng David Eidelberg Yilong Ma 2014Neuroscience Bulletin2014,30,5:7

7Who may benefit from lower dosages of intravenous tissue plasminogen activator? Results from a cluster data analysis显示文摘background The risk of symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage(sICH)after thrombolysis is low but severe.Lower dose of alteplase may reduce the risk of sICH.We aim to identify subsets of patients who could benefit from lower dose of alteplase compared with standard dose.Methods Data from two observational registries were pooled together.A total of 3479 patients who had acute ischaemic stroke were entered into the interaction tree model.The response variable was the rate of sICH per the definition of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Study.Clinical improvement was measured by the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)and defined as NIHSS 0 or 1 or an improvement of more than 4 points(within 7 days or at discharge).Rare event logistic regression was performed to analyse the OR of safety outcome.results To optimise the interaction effect between tissue plasminogen activator(tPA)dosage(standard/lower)and patient subgroups,three subgroups based on the severity of stroke were identified:(1)NIHSS≤4,(2)NIHSS between 5 and 14,and(3)NIHSS≥15.The estimated difference of OR of having sICH was 2.71(95%CI 0.80 to 7.69,p=0.10)for mild,0.13(95%CI 0.02 to 0.68,p=0.01)for moderate,and 0.65(95%CI 0.19 to 2.55,p=0.52)for severe,respectively.In addition,patients who had moderate stroke treated with lower dose had comparable efficacy outcome(OR 1.23,95%CI 0.71 to 2.13,p=0.45).Conclusion Our analysis demonstrated that in patients who had moderate stroke,lower doses of alteplase are associated with significant sICH reduction and non-inferior performance in efficacy,compared with those in the standard dose group.Yi Dong Ye Han Haipeng Shen Yilong Wang Frank Ma Hao Li Yongjun Wang Qiang Dong 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,4:3
8Artificial intelligence-assisted automatic and index-based microbial single-cell sorting system for One-Cell-One-Tube显示文摘Identification,sorting,and sequencing of individual cells directly from in situ samples have great potential for in-depth analysis of the structure and function of microbiomes.In this work,based on an artificial intelligence(AI)-assisted object detection model for cell phenotype screening and a cross-interface contact method for single-cell exporting,we developed an automatic and index-based system called EasySort AUTO,where individual microbial cells are sorted and then packaged in a microdroplet and automatically exported in a precisely indexed,“One-Cell-One-Tube”manner.The target cell is automatically identified based on an AI-assisted object detection model and then mobilized via an optical tweezer for sorting.Then,a crossinterface contact microfluidic printing method that we developed enables the automated transfer of cells from the chip to the tube,which leads to coupling with subsequent single-cell culture or sequencing.The efficiency of the system for single-cell printing is>93%.The throughput of the system for single-cell printing is~120 cells/h.Moreover,>80%of single cells of both yeast and Escherichia coli are culturable,suggesting the superior preservation of cell viability during sorting.Finally,AI-assisted object detection supports automated sorting of target cells with high accuracy from mixed yeast samples,which was validated by downstream single-cell proliferation assays.The automation,index maintenance,and vitality preservation of EasySort AUTO suggest its excellent application potential for single-cell sorting.Zhidian Diao Lingyan Kan Yilong Zhao Jingyun Song Chen Wang Yang Liu Fengli Zhang Teng Xu Rongze Chen Xixian Wang Xiaoyan Jing Jian Xu Yuandong Li Bo Ma 2022mLife2022,1,4:2
9Acute Ischaemic Stroke Cooperation Group of Endovascular Treatment (ANGEL) registry: study protocol for a prospective, multicentre registry in China显示文摘Background and purpose Endovascular treatment could improve functional outcomes and reduce mortality in patients with intracranial large artery occlusion. This registry aims to evaluate the endovascular treatment delivery and to improve endovascular treatment algorithm in clinical practice for patients with stroke in China. Methods and analysis This multicentric, nationwide, prospective registry plans to include 20 stroke centres and recruit 900 consecutive AIS patients with large- artery occlusion under endovascular treatment. This registry will enrol acute large vessel occlusion patients suitable for endovascular treatment and the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In this study, 90 days functional independence (modified Rankin Scale score ≤2) is the primary efficacy endpoint. The procedural efficacy endpoint of this registry is target artery recanalisation defined by modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction score 2b or 3 after endovascular therapy. Symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage with 24±3 hours after the procedure is the primary safety endpoint of this registry. 10Suitability assessment of deep groundwater for drinking, irrigation and industrial purposes in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, north China显示文摘Groundwater has been a major natural resource for human consumption in north China. It is necessary to appreciate the suitability of deep groundwater for drinking, agricultural irrigation, and industrial uses in this region. To this end, a total of 47 groundwater samples were collected from the study area; by comparing the concentrations of different hydrochemical variables with quality standard values, the variable fuzzy set (VFS) was applied to calculate the groundwater quality index (GQI) for various purposes, respectively. Afterward GQI spatial distribution maps were constructed using a geographic information system (GIS) tool to delineate spatial variations of groundwater quality. In this case study, the GQI spatial distribution maps reveal that the areas covered by 'Maximum Permissible' groundwater for varying purposes (drinking, irrigation, and industrial) is 1377.2; 2354.7; and 3854.8 km2, respectively. The groundwater in the eastern part of the study area is suitable for drinking, with the southwestern region as the irrigation water source; the entire study area is acceptable for use in industrial, except the western part of Jiaozuo City. 11Awareness intervention for Beijing neurologists regarding secondary prevention of cerebral infarction/transient ischemia Cross-sectional investigation显示文摘BACKGROUND: Stroke prevention guidelines should be made available to neurologists for clinical application to aid in uniformity, timing, preciseness, and acceptance of disease. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the awareness of neurologists in some Beijing hospitals of intervention in secondary prevention of cerebral infarction/transient ischemia. DESIGN: Cross-sectional study. SETTING: Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Beijing Anzhen Hospital, General Hospital of Beijing Military Area, Command of Chinese PLA, Beijing Chuiyangliu Hospital, Beijing 6th Hospital, Beijing Hepingli Hospital, and Beijing Daxing District Hospital. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 28 (associate) chief physicians, 58 attending physicians, and 54 resident physicians who engaged in clinical treatment of cerebrovascular diseases were selected from 8 hospitals in Beijing from March to April 2007. All physicians provided informed consent. METHODS: Self-made closed questionnaires were provided for data collection, consisting of 16 questions that were single choice or multiple choice. Specifically, questions 1-7 focused on awareness of blood pressure regulation in different patients and first choice of decompression drug; questions 8-12 focused on awareness of lipid regulation; and questions 13-16 focused on awareness of anti-blood platelet drugs applied in secondary prevention. The scores ranged from 0-100 points, and each question was worth 6.25 points. The scores positively correlated with the awareness rate. To test leveling real-time, the survey lasted for a maximum of 20 minutes. One questionnaire was independently finished by each subject in the survey. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Awareness intervention among neurologists during secondary prevention of cerebral infarction/transient ischemia and questionnaire scores. RESULTS: 140 subjects were included in the final analysis. ① The awareness rate among neurologists for intervention during secondary prevention of cerebral infarction/transient ischemia ranged from 0.7-57.9%, the scores ranged between 0-56 points, and the mean score was 26 points. ② Scores of resident physicians were 0-56 points with a mean score of 26 points; attending physicians scored 6-50 points, with a mean score of 26 points; and chief physicians scored 6-50 points, with a mean score of 23 points. There were no significant differences among the various physicians (F = 0.771, t = 0.465, P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: Awareness among neurologists of intervention during secondary prevention of cerebral infarction/transient ischemia is not ideal. 12Revealing the critical effect of solid electrolyte interphase on the deposition and detriment of Co(Ⅱ) ions to graphite anode显示文摘'Dissolution,migration,and deposition'of transition metal ions (TMIs) result in capacity degradation of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs).Understanding such detrimental mechanism of TMIs is critical to the development of LIBs with long cycle life.In most previous works,TMIs were directly introduced into the electrolyte to investigate such a detrimental mechanism.In these cases,the TMIs are deposited directly on the fresh anode surface.However,in the practical battery system,the TMIs are deposited on the anode covered with solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film.Whether the pre-presence of SEI film on anode surface influences the deposition and detriment of TMIs is unclear.In this work,the deposition of Co element on graphite anode with and without SEI film were systematically studied.The results clearly show that,in comparison with that of fresh graphite (SEI-free),the presence of SEI film aggravates the deposition of Co ions due to the Li^(+)–Co^(2+) ion exchange between the SEI and Co^(2+)-containing electrolyte without the driving of the electric field,leading to faster capacity fading of graphite anode.Therefore,how to regulate electrolytes and film-forming additives to design the components of SEI and prevent its exchange with TMIs,is a crucial way to inhibit the deposition and detriment of TMIs on graphite anode.Qiming Xie Jiawei Chen Lidan Xing Xianggui Zhou Zekai Ma Binhong Wu Yilong Lin Hebing Zhou Weishan Li 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,6:2

14Influence of dynamic crystallization on exchange-coupled NdFeB nanocrystalline permanent magnets显示文摘Dynamic crystallization was introduced to improve the magnetic properties of NdFeB nanocrystalline permanent magnets by optimizing microstructure. The microstructure was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It has been determined that, compared with the conventional heat treatment, dynamic crystallization can shorten the crystallization time. Moreover, dynamic crystallization can refine grains, enhance the exchange-coupled interaction among grains, and promote the magnetic properties. 15Multi-task MIML learning for pre-course student performance prediction显示文摘In higher education,the initial studying period of each course plays a crucial role for students,and seriously influences the subsequent learning activities.However,given the large size of a course’s students at universities,it has become impossible for teachers to keep track of the performance of individual students.In this circumstance,an academic early warning system is desirable,which automatically detects students with difficulties in learning(i.e.,at-risk students)prior to a course starting.However,previous studies are not well suited to this purpose for two reasons:1)they have mainly concentrated on e-learning platforms,e.g.,massive open online courses(MOOCs),and relied on the data about students’online activities,which is hardly accessed in traditional teaching scenarios;and 2)they have only made performance prediction when a course is in progress or even close to the end.In this paper,for traditional classroom-teaching scenarios,we investigate the task of pre-course student performance prediction,which refers to detecting at-risk students for each course before its commencement.To better represent a student sample and utilize the correlations among courses,we cast the problem as a multi-instance multi-label(MIML)problem.Besides,given the problem of data scarcity,we propose a novel multi-task learning method,i.e.,MIML-Circle,to predict the performance of students from different specialties in a unified framework.Extensive experiments are conducted on five real-world datasets,and the results demonstrate the superiority of our approach over the state-of-the-art methods.Yuling Ma Chaoran Cui Jun Yu Jie Guo Gongping Yang Yilong Yin 2020Frontiers of Computer Science2020,14,5:1
16Magnetic properties and microstructure of nanocrystalline bulk Nd-Fe-B with Ce-Co addition显示文摘The influence of Ce-Co alloy addition and sintering holding time on permanent magnetic properties and micro structure of nanocrystalline Nd-Fe-B bulk alloy were investigated.The coercivity of Nd-Fe-B bulk alloy can be enhanced greatly by more than 100% after adding Ce-Co powders.However,when the concentration of Ce-Co is up to 30 wt%,the density of the magnet can reach the maximum value of 7.58 g/cm^(3),but the coercivity does not increase significantly.On the other hand,with the increase of holding time to 10 min,the density and coercivity of magnets increase gradually,reaching up to 7.55 g/cm^(3) and 1134.3 kA/m,respectively.After the addition of Ce-Co alloy,Ce-Co may easily diffuse into the Nd-Fe-B matrix during hot-pressing and under the high pressure and temperature,thus increasing the content of grain boundary phase and the pinning effect of grain boundary,which leads to the increase of coercivity.The extension of the hot-pressing holding time may be more conducive to the diffusion of CeCo into the Nd-Fe-B matrix.In addition,the effect of Ce-Co addition on the magnetic properties of Nd-FeB with different content of rare earth was also studied.The addition of Ce-Co can effectively increase the coercivity of nanocomposite Nd_(2)Fe_(14)B/α-Fe magnets.The addition of Nb to the parent alloy can further improve the coercivity.For Nd_(11)Fe_(81.5)Nb_(1)Ga_(0.5)B_(6) alloy with 10 wt% Ce-Co addition,the coercivity can increase from 740.28 to 1098.48 kA/m.Yilong Ma Qiqi Yang Xiaoli Chen Ying He Wenbo Xiang Jiaqi Lai Bin Shao Donglin Guo Dengming Chen Kejian Li 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,6:1

19Preparation and magnetic properties of anisotropic Nd2Fe14B/Sm2Co17 hybrid-bonded magnets显示文摘In the present work, anisotropic Nd2 Fe14 B/Sm2 Co17 hybrid-bonded magnets were prepared with different Nd-Fe-B contents. It is found that the particle distributions and ratios between the two magnetic phases have important roles in the magnetic properties, microstructures and thermal stability of the magnets. With increase of Nd-Fe-B content, the saturation magnetization of the anisotropic hybrid magnet increases significantly, however, coercivity decreases, and the demagnetization curves show magnetically single-phase behavior. The anisotropic Nd2 Fe14 B/Sm2 Co17 hybrid-bonded magnets exhibit a maximum energy product and remanence of 14.15 MGOe and 99.53 A·m2/kg, respectively, when the NdFe-B content is 70 wt% at room temperature.
