1Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of 2019 novel coronavirus infection in children: experts' consensus statement显示文摘Since the outbreak of 2019 novel coronavirus infection (2019-nCoV) in Wuhan City,China,by January 30,2020,a total of 9692 confirmed cases and 15,238 suspected cases have been reported around 31 provinces or cities in China.Among the confirmed cases,1527 were severe cases,171 had recovered and been discharged at home,and 213 died.And among these cases,a total of 28 children aged from 1 month to 17 years have been reported in China.For standardizing prevention and management of 2019-nCoV infections in children,we called up an experts' committee to formulate this experts' consensus statement.This statement is based on the Novel Coronavirus Infection Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Standards (the fourth edition) (National Health Committee) and other previous diagnosis and treatment strategies for pediatric virus infections.The present consensus statement summarizes current strategies on diagnosis,treatment,and prevention of 2019-nCoV infection in children.Kunling Shen Yonghong Yang Tianyou Wang Dongchi Zhao Yi Jiang Runming Jin Yuejie Zheng Baoping Xu Zhengde Xie Likai Lin Yunxiao Shang Xiaoxia Lu Sainan Shu Yan Bai Jikui Deng Min Lu Leping Ye Xuefeng Wang Yongyan Wang Liwei Gao 2020World Journal of Pediatrics2020,16,3:56
2Efficient elimination of organic and inorganic pollutants by biochar and biochar-based materials显示文摘Biochar have received multidisciplinary attention because of their extraordinary physicochemical properties.In this review,the application of biochar and biochar-based materials for the efficient elimination of organic and inorganic pollutants are summarized.The sorption of organic chemicals and heavy metal ions/radionuclides,degradation/transformation of organic pollutants,and sorption-reduction-solidification of high-valent metal ions are described in detail.The interaction mechanism at molecular level from advanced spectroscopic techniques and theoretical calculations is discussed.Finally,the challenges in the application of biochar and biochar-supported materials in the immobilization of heavy metal ions and photocatalytic degradation of persistent organic pollutants in soils or wastewater are pointed out.This review is helpful for the graduate stu-dents to understand the recent works about biochar and biochar-supported materials in environmental pollutants management.Baowei Hu Yuejie Ai Jie Jin Tasawar Hayat Ahmed Alsaedi Li Zhuang Xiangke Wang 2020Biochar2020,2,1:18
3Respiratory Virus Multiplex RT-PCR Assay Sensitivities and Influence Factors in Hospitalized Children with Lower Respiratory Tract Infections显示文摘Multiplex RT-PCR assays have been widely used tools for detection and differentiation of a panel of respiratory viral pathogens. In this study, we evaluated the Qiagen ResPlex II V2.0 kit and explored factors influencing its sensitivity. Nasopharyngeal swab (NPS) specimens were prospectively collected from pediatric inpatients with lower respiratory tract infections at the time of admission in the Shenzhen Children's Hospital from May 2009 to April 2010. Total nucleic acids were extracted using the EZ1 system (Qiagen, Germany) and 17 respiratory viruses and genotypes including influenza A virus (FluA), FluB, parainfluenza virus 1 (PIV1), PIV2, PIV3, PIV4, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), human metapneumovirus (hMPV), rhinoviruses (RhV), enteroviruses (EnV), human bocaviruses (hBoV), adenoviruses (AdV), four coronaviruses (229E, OC43, NL63 and HKU1), and FluA 2009 pandemic H1N1(H1N1-p) were detected and identified by the ResPlex II kit. In parallel, 16 real-time TaqMan quantitative RT-PCR assays were used to quantitatively detect each virus except for RhV. Influenza and parainfluenza viral cultures were also performed. Among the total 438 NPS specimens collected during the study period, one or more viral pathogens were detected in 274 (62.6%) and 201(45.9%) specimens by monoplex TaqMan RT-PCR and multiplex ResPlex, respectively. When results from monoplex PCR or cell culture were used as the reference standard, the multiplex PCR possessed specificities of 92.9-100.0%. The sensitivity of multiplex PCR for PIV3, hMPV, PIV1 and BoV were 73.1%, 70%, 66.7% and 55.6%, respectively, while low sensitivities (11.1%-40.0%) were observed for FluA, EnV, OC43, RSV and H1N1. Among the seven viruses/genotypes detected with higher frequencies, multiplex PCR sensitivities were correlated significantly with viral loads determined by the TaqMan RT-PCR in FluA, H1N1-p and RSV (p=0.011-0.000). The Qiagen ResPlex II multiplex RT-PCR kit possesses excellent specificity for simultaneous detection of 17 viral pathogens in NPS specimens in pediatric inpatients at the time of admission. 5Introducing B–N unit boosts photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2) production on metal-free g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets显示文摘Metal-free catalyst for photocatalytic production of H_(2)O_(2)is highly desirable with the long-term vision of artificial photosynthesis of solar fuel.In particular,the specific chemical bonds for selective H_(2)O_(2)photosynthesis via 2e–oxygen reduction reactions(ORR)remain to be explored for understanding the forming mechanism of active sites.Herein,we report a facile doping method to introduce boron-nitrogen(B–N)bonds into the structure of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))nanosheets(denoted as BCNNS)to provide significant photocatalytic activity,selectivity and stability.The theoretical calculation and experimental results reveal that the electron-deficient B–N units serving as electron acceptors improve photogenerated charge separation and transfer.The units are also proved to be superior active sites for selective O_(2)adsorption and activation,reducing the energy barrier for*OOH formation,and thereby enabling an efficient 2e–ORR pathway to H_(2)O_(2).Consequently,with only bare loss of activity during repeated cycles,the optimal H2O2 production rate by BCNNS photocatalysts reaches 1.16 mmol·L^(–1)·h^(–1)under 365 nm-monochrome light emitting diode(LED365nm)irradiation,increasing nearly 2–5 times as against the state-of-art metal-free photocatalysts.This work gives the first example of applying B–N bonds to enhance the photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production as well as unveiling the underlying reaction pathway for efficient solar-energy transformations.Weikang Wang Wei Zhang Yueji Cai Qing Wang Juan Deng Jingsheng Chen Zhifeng Jiang Yizhou Zhang Chao Yu 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:2

7Removal of phenol by Isochrysis galbana in seawater under varying temperature and light intensity显示文摘Phenol is a common industrial chemical produced and transported worldwide largely.Therefore,accidental spillage of phenol in the ocean causes an increasing concern.Microalgae are promising to remove phenol from marine waters.However,temperature and light intensity are two main factors that markedly influence biodegradation in marine environments.In this study,a marine golden alga Isochrysis galbana is selected to research the removal of phenol under different temperatures(10-30℃)and light intensities(0-240μmol/(m^2·s)).The results show that the most suitable temperature and light intensity for phenol removal are 20℃and 180μmol/(m2·s),respectively,and 100 mg/L of phenol can be completely removed by microalga in 24 h at these conditions.I.galbana can also remove phenol under dark and low-temperature conditions.The removal of phenol by I.galbana at diverse temperatures and light intensities conform to first-order kinetics,and the process under dark conditions conform to zero-order kinetics.Thus,I.galbana can be used in the in-situ bioremediation of polluted seawater by phenol.LI Hao MENG Fanping WANG Yuejie LIN Yufei 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,3:1
8A stretchable and adhesive ionic conductor based on polyacrylic acid and deep eutectic solvents显示文摘Hydrogels are a widely used ionic conductor in on-skin electronic and iontronic devices.However,hydrogels dehydrate in the open air and freeze at low temperatures,limiting their real applications when they are attached on skin or exposed to low temperatures.Polymer-ionic liquid gels can overcome these two obstacles,but synthetic ionic liquids are expensive and toxic.In this work,we present an ionic conductor based on polyacrylic acid(PAAc)and deep eutectic solvents(DESs)that well addresses the aforementioned challenges.We polymerize acrylic acid in DESs to get the PAAc–DES gel,which exhibits excellent stretchability(>1000%),high electrical conductivity(1.26 mS cm^(−1)),high adhesion to the skin(~100 Nm^(−1)),as well as good anti-drying and anti-freezing properties.We also demonstrate that the PAAc-DES gel can be used as an on-skin electrode to record the surface electromyographic signal with high signal quality,or as a transparent stretchable electrode in iontronic devices that can work at–20℃.We believe that the PAAc–DES gels are an ideal candidate as epidermal electrodes or transparent stretchable electrodes.Gang Li Zhihao Deng Minkun Cai Kaixi Huang Mengxue Guo Ping Zhang Xingyu Hou Yuan Zhang Yueji Wang Yan Wang Xiang Wu Chuan Fei Guo 2021npj Flexible Electronics2021,5,1:1
9THE DESIGN AND APPLICATION OF RELAXANT MONITORING SYSTEM显示文摘The paper introduces a monitoring system of muscle relaxant actionduring the anaesthesia operation,which is based on measurement of acceleration.The monitor consists of an acceleration transducer,a nerve stimlation and a microcomputer unit.The transducer can be fastened to the thumb,and the signal of thethumb movement in response to ulnar nerve stimulation is measured and registeredin the computing unit. 10Dielectric barrier discharge-based defect engineering method to assist flash sintering显示文摘Oxygen vacancy OV plays an important role in a flash sintering (FS) process. In defect engineering, the methods of creating oxygen vacancy defects include doping, heating, and etching, and all of them often have complex processes or equipment. In this study, we used dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) as a new defect engineering technology to increase oxygen vacancy concentrations of green billets with different ceramics (ZnO, TiO_(2), and 3 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (3YSZ)). With an alternating current (AC) power supply of 10 kHz, low-temperature plasma was generated, and a specimen could be treated in different atmospheres. The effect of the DBD treatment was influenced by atmosphere, treatment time, and voltage amplitude of the power supply. After the DBD treatment, the oxygen vacancy defect concentration in ZnO samples increased significantly, and a resistance test showed that conductivity of the samples increased by 2–3 orders of magnitude. Moreover, the onset electric field (E) of ZnO FS decreased from 5.17 to 0.86 kV/cm at room temperature (RT);while in the whole FS, the max power dissipation decreased from 563.17 to 27.94 W. The defect concentration and conductivity of the green billets for TiO_(2) and 3YSZ were also changed by the DBD, and then the FS process was modified. 11Effect of pH, Temperature, and CO2 Concentration on Growth and Lipid Accumulation of Nannochloropsis sp. MASCC 11显示文摘This study determined growth and lipid accumulation in Nannochloropsis sp. MASCC 11 cultivated at different pH, temperatures, and CO2 concentrations in 10-day period. The suitability for biodiesel production was also evaluated based on the fatty acid profiles of microalgae lipid. Nannochloropsis sp. MASCC 11 showed an excellent tolerance to acidic pH(as low as 4.0), high temperatures(at least 40℃), and high CO2 concentrations(5%-15%), which are major stressed conditions in flue gas. The highest algal biomass was acquired at pH of 9.0(0.44 g L^-1), a temperature of 35℃(0.63 g L^-1), and a CO2 concentration of 5%(2.27 g L^-1). Maximum lipid production was obtained at p H of 6.0(108.2 mg L^-1), a temperature of 35℃(134.6 mg L^-1), and a CO2 concentration of 5%(782.7 mg L^-1). Synthesis of polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFAs) in biomass was stimulated under high CO_2 concentrations, remaining above 80% of total fatty acids, mainly composed of C16:3, C18:2, and C18:3. This led to the algae-based biodiesel having a lower oxidation stability, better cold flow properties, and other parameters such as its kinematic viscosity, cetane number, and specific gravity complied with ASTM or EN 14214 biodiesel specifications. Therefore, the improvement of oxidative stability needs to be considered before Nannochloropsis sp. 12Experimental and theoretical insights into copper phthalocyanine-based covalent organic frameworks for highly efficien radioactive iodine capture显示文摘Exploring efficient materials for capturing radioactive iodine in nuclear waste is of great significance for the progress of nuclear energy as well as the protection of ecological environment.Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)have emerged as promising adsorbents because of their predesignable and functionalizable skeleton structures.However,it remains a grand challenge to achieve large scale preparation of COFs.In this work,we developed a mild and efficient microwave irradiation method instead of the traditional solvothermal method to prepare copper phthalocyanine-based covalent organic frameworks(Cu_(x)Pc-COFs)within only 15 min.The nitrogen-rich 1,2,4,5-tetracarbonitrilebenzene(TCNB)was selected as the solely organic ligand to construct copper phthalocyanine-based 2D conjugated COFs.The resultant Cu_(x)Pc-COFs exhibited excellent iodine enrichment with 2.99 g/g for volatile iodine and 492.27 mg/g for iodine-cyclohexane solution,respectively,outperforming that of many porous materials.As indicated by spectroscopic analysis and DFT calculations,this impressive adsorption performance can be attributed to the charge transfer arising from nitrogen-rich phthalocyanine structures and electron-richπ-conjugated systems with iodine molecules.Moreover,the strong electrostatic interaction between Cu(Ⅱ)on chelate centers and polyiodide anions(I_(x)^(-))also play an important role in the firmly trapping radioactive iodine.Therefore,this study provides a facile and intelligent approach to implement metal-based COFs for the remediation of toxic radioactive iodine.Xuewei Liu Anrui Zhang Ran Ma Bo Wu Tao Wen Yuejie Ai Mingtai Sun Jie Jin Suhua Wang Xiangke Wang 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,7:0
13Folate-targeted co-delivery polymersomes for efficient photo-chemo-antiangiogenic therapy against breast cancer and in vivo evaluation via OCTA/NIRF dual-modal imaging显示文摘Intelligent nanoplatform that combines multimodal imaging and therapeutic effects holds great promise for precise and efficient cancer therapy.Herein,folate-targeted polymersomes with stimuli-responsiveness were fabricated and evaluated by near-infrared fluorescence(NIRF)and optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)dual-imaging for photo-chemo-antiangiogenic therapy against cancer.The folate-targeted polymersomes(FA-MIT-SIPS)not only integrated ammonium bicarbonate(ABC)and mitoxantrone(MIT)into their hydrophilic cavity but also encapsulated indocyanine green(ICG)and sorafenib(SOR)within their hydrophobic layer.NIRF imaging demonstrated that FA-MIT-SIPS effectively accumulated and retained in the tumors.Upon 808 nm laser irradiation,the ICG produced hyperthermia and reactive oxygen species(ROS)for efficient photothermal and photodynamic therapy.In addition,the decomposition of ABC in responsive to acidic tumor environment and ICG-induced hyperthermia accelerated drug release.The released MIT accumulated in nucleus to inhibit DNA synthesis,while the released SOR destructed tumor vascularization.Notably,OCTA imaging was applied to observe the tumor blood flow upon the combination therapy,demonstrating that FA-MIT-SIPS obviously decreased the vessels area density.Moreover,the synergistic photo-chemo-antiangiogenic therapy of FA-MIT-SIPS achieved excellent antitumor effect with 40%of the 4T1 tumor-bearing mice being completely cured without recurrence.The multifunctional polymersomes provide a promising dual-modal imaging-evaluated synergistic strategy for tumor therapy.Hongjun Wu Chenlu Huang Liwei Wang Qinghua Li Yuejie Li Linhua Zhang Dunwan Zhu 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,12:0
14Epidemiological characteristics and clinical manifestations of pediatric patients with COVID-19 in China: A multicenter retrospective study显示文摘Importance:The Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)global pandemic poses a considerable challenge for pediatricians.Objective:This study aimed to identify the epidemiological characteristics and clinical features of pediatric patients with COVID-19 in China.Methods:This multicenter retrospective study included pediatric patients from 46 hospitals in China,covering 12 provinces and two municipalities.Epidemiological,demographic,clinical,laboratory,treatment,and outcome data were analyzed.Results:In total,211 pediatric patients with COVID-19 were included in this study.The median age was 7.0 years(range:22 days to 18 years).Approximately 16.3%of the patients exhibited asymptomatic infections,23.0%had upper respiratory tract infections,and 60.7%had pneumonia,including two with severe pneumonia and one with critical illness.Approximately 78.7%of the pediatric patients occurred in familial clusters.The most three common symptoms or signs at onset in children with COVID-19 were fever(54.5%),cough(49.3%),and pharyngeal congestion(20.8%).Only 17.6%of the patients presented with decreased lymphocyte count,whereas 13.6%had increased lymphocyte count.Among the patients with pneumonia who exhibited abnormal chest computed tomography findings,18.2%(23/127)of the patients had no other symptoms.Generally,the chest radiographs showed abnormalities that affected both lungs(49.6%);ground-glass opacity(47.2%)was the most common manifestation.The cure and improvement rates were 86.7%(183/211)and 13.3%(28/211),respectively.Only one patient with an underlying condition received invasive mechanical ventilation;none of the patients died.Interpretation:Similar to adults,children of all age groups are susceptible to COVID-19.Fortunately,most pediatric patients have mild symptoms or remain asymptomatic,despite the high incidence of pneumonia.Decreased proportions of white blood cells and lymphocytes are less frequent in children than in adults.Yan Bai Liwei Gao Xianfeng Wang Lili Zhong Jingfeng Li Shenggang Ding Yuejie Zheng Jun Liu Yuxia Cui Lina Wang Mingfeng Han Jun Liu Xinping Jiang Min Jiang Junhua Li Ning Chen Yunxiao Shang Hourong Zhou Yi Xu Gen Lu Xing Chen Jizhi Xu Qihong Fan Yu Tang Jiang Wu Cen Li Xiaoxiang Yang Chunxi Chen Yonghong Yang Gary Wing-Kin Wong Adong Shen Tianyou Wang Runming Jin Baoping Xu Kunling Shen 2021Pediatric Investigation2021,5,3:0
