The 2020/21 Extremely Cold Winter in China Influenced by the Synergistic Effect of La Niña and Warm Arctic显示文摘In the first half of winter 2020/21,China has experienced an extremely cold period across both northern and southern regions, with record-breaking low temperatures set in many stations of China.Meanwhile,a moderate La Niña event which exceeded both oceanic and atmospheric thresholds began in August 2020 and in a few months developed into its mature phase, just prior to the 2020/21 winter. In this report, the mid−high-latitude large-scale atmospheric circulation anomalies in the Northern Hemisphere, which were forced by the negative phase of Arctic Oscillation,a strengthened Siberian High,an intensified Ural High and a deepened East Asian Trough, are considered to be the direct reason for the frequent cold surges in winter 2020/21.At the same time, the synergistic effect of the warm Arctic and the cold tropical Pacific(La Niña)provided an indispensable background,at a hemispheric scale,to intensify the atmospheric circulation anomalies in middle-to-high latitudes. In the end,a most recent La Niña prediction is provided and the on-coming evolution of climate is discussed for the remaining part of the 2020/21 winter for the purpose of future decision-making and early warning. | Fei ZHENG Yuan YUAN Yihui DING Kexin LI Xianghui FANG Yuheng ZHAO Yue SUN Jiang ZHU Zongjian KE Ji WANG Xiaolong JIA | 2022 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2022,39,4: | 7
Graphene oxide:An emerging electromaterial for energy storage and conversion显示文摘This paper gives a comprehensive review of the recent progress on electrochemical energy storage devices using graphene oxide(GO).GO,a single sheet of graphite oxide,is a functionalised graphene, carrying many oxygen-containing groups. This endows GO with various unique features for versatile applications in batteries, capacitors and fuel cells.Specific applications are considered principally including use in electrodes as the active materials to enhance the performance or as substrates to diversify the structures,in solid-state electrolytes and membranes to improve the ionic conductivity and mechanical properties, and in interlayers to protect the electrodes, membranes or current collectors.Furthermore, the challenges and future prospects are discussed in the paper for encouraging further research and development of GO applications. | Yuheng Tian Zhichun Yu Liuyue Cao Xiao Li Zhang Chenghua Sun Da-Wei Wang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4: | 5
Deer Body Adaptive Threshold Segmentation Algorithm Based on Color Space显示文摘In large-scale deer farming image analysis,K-means or maximum between-class variance(Otsu)algorithms can be used to distinguish the deer from the background. However,in an actual breeding environment, the barbed wire or chain-link fencing has a certain isolating effect on the deer which greatly interferes with the identification of the individual deer. Also, when the target and background grey values are similar, the multiple background targets cannot be completely separated. To better identify the posture and behaviour of deer in a deer shed,we used digital image processing to separate the deer from the background. To address the problems mentioned above, this paper proposes an adaptive threshold segmentation algorithm based on color space.First, the original image is pre-processed and optimized. On this basis, the data are enhanced and contrasted.Next, color space is used to extract the several backgrounds through various color channels, then the adaptive space segmentation of the extracted part of the color space is performed.Based on the segmentation effect of the traditional Otsu algorithm,we designed a comparative experiment that divided the four postures of turning, getting up,lying, and standing, and successfully separated multiple target deer from the background.Experimental results show that compared with K-means,Otsu and hue saturation value(HSV)+K-means,this method is better in performance and accuracy for adaptive segmentation of deer in artificial breeding scenes and can be used to separate artificially cultivated deer from their backgrounds. Both the subjective and objective aspects achieved good segmentation results. This article lays a foundation for the effective identification of abnormal behaviour in sika deer. | Yuheng Sun Ye Mu Qin Feng Tianli Hu He Gong Shijun Li Jing Zhou | 2020 | Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,8: | 5
The mechanosensitive lncRNA Neat1 promotes osteoblast function through paraspeckle-dependent Smurf1 mRNA retention显示文摘Mechanical stimulation plays an important role in bone remodeling. Exercise-induced mechanical loading enhances bone strength, whereas mechanical unloading leads to bone loss. Increasing evidence has demonstrated that long noncoding RNAs(lnc RNAs) play key roles in diverse biological, physiological and pathological contexts. However, the roles of lnc RNAs in mechanotransduction and their relationships with bone formation remain unknown. In this study, we screened mechanosensing lnc RNAs in osteoblasts and identified Neat1, the most clearly decreased lnc RNA under simulated microgravity. Of note, not only Neat1 expression but also the specific paraspeckle structure formed by Neat1 was sensitive to different mechanical stimulations, which were closely associated with osteoblast function. Paraspeckles exhibited small punctate aggregates under simulated microgravity and elongated prolate or larger irregular structures under mechanical loading. Neat1 knockout mice displayed disrupted bone formation, impaired bone structure and strength, and reduced bone mass. Neat1 deficiency in osteoblasts reduced the response of osteoblasts to mechanical stimulation. In vivo, Neat1 knockout in mice weakened the bone phenotypes in response to mechanical loading and hindlimb unloading stimulation. Mechanistically, paraspeckles promoted nuclear retention of E3 ubiquitin ligase Smurf1 m RNA and downregulation of their translation, thus inhibiting ubiquitination-mediated degradation of the osteoblast master transcription factor Runx2, a Smurf1 target. Our study revealed that Neat1 plays an essential role in osteoblast function under mechanical stimulation, which provides a paradigm for the function of the lnc RNA-assembled structure in response to mechanical stimulation and offers a therapeutic strategy for long-term spaceflight-or bedrest-induced bone loss and age-related osteoporosis. | Caizhi Liu Xingcheng Gao Yuheng Li Weijia Sun Youjia Xu Yingjun Tan Ruikai Du Guohui Zhong Dingsheng Zhao Zizhong Liu Xiaoyan Jin Yinlong Zhao Yinbo Wang Xinxin Yuan Junjie Pan Guodong Yuan Youyou Li Wenjuan Xing Guanghan Kan Yanqing Wang Qi Li Xuan Han Jianwei Li Shukuan Ling Yingxian Li | 2022 | Bone Research2022,10,2: | 3

Metabolic regulation of T cell development by Sinl-mTORC2 is mediated by pyruvate kinase M2显示文摘Glucose metabolism plays a key role in thymocyte development. The mammalian target of rapamycin complex 2 (mT0RC2) is a critical regulator of cell growth and metabolism, but its role in early thymocyte development and metabolism has not been fully studied. We show here that genetic ablation of Sinl, an essential component of mTORC2, in T lineage cells results in severely impaired thymocyte development at the CD4^- CD8^- double negative (DN) stages but not at the CD4^+ CD8^+ double positive (DP) or later stages. Notably, Sinl-deficient DN thymocytes show markedly reduced proliferation and glycolysis.Importantly, we discover that the M2 isoform of pyruvate kinase (PKM2) is a novel and crucial Sinl effector in promoting DN thymocyte development and metabolism. At the molecular level, we show that Sinl-mTORC2 controls PKM2 expression through an AKT-dependent PPAR-y nuclear translocation. Together, our study unravels a novel mTORC2-PPAR-γ-PKM2 pathway in immune-metabolic regulation of early thymocyte development. | Xinxing Ouyang Yuheng Han Guojun Qu Man Li Ningbo Wu Hongzhi Liu Omotooke Arojo Hongxiang Sun Xiaobo Liu Dou Liu Lei Chen Qiang Zou Bing Su | 2019 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2019,11,2: | 3
MAP3K2 augments Th1 cell differentiation via IL-18 to promote T cell-mediated colitis显示文摘T cell-mediated immunity in the intestine is stringently controlled to ensure proper immunity against pathogenic microbes and to prevent autoimmunity,a known cause of inflammatory bowel disease. However, precisely how T cells regulate intestine immunity remains to be fully understood. In this study,we found that mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 2(MAP3K2)is required for the CD4^(+)T cell-mediated inflammation in the intestine.Using a T cell transfer colitis model,we found that MAP3K2-deficient naïve CD4^(+)T cells had a dramatically reduced ability to induce colitis compared to wild type T cells. In addition, significantly fewer IFN-γ-but more IL-17A-producing CD4^(+)T cells in the intestines of mice receiving MAP3K2-deficient T cells than in those from mice receiving wild type T cells was observed.Interestingly, under well-defined in vitro differentiation conditions,MAP3K2-deficient naïve T cells were not impaired in their ability to differentiate into Th1,Th17 and Treg.Furthermore, the MAP3K2-regulated colitis severity was mediated by Th1 but not Th17 cells in the intestine. At the molecular level,we showed that MAP3K2-mediated Th1 cell differentiation in the intestine was regulated by IL-18 and required specific JNK activation.Together, our study reveals a novel regulatory role of MAP3K2 in intestinal T cell immunity via the IL-18-MAP3K2-JNK axis and may provide a novel target for intervention in T cell-mediated colitis. | Ningbo Wu Dongping Chen Hongxiang Sun Jianmei Tan Yao Zhang Tianyu Zhang Yuheng Han Hongzhi Liu Xinxing Ouyang Xiao-Dong Yang Xiaoyin Niu Jie Zhong Zhengting Wang Bing Su | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,3: | 3
Leucine modulates the IPEC-J2 cell proteome associated with cell proliferation, metabolism and phagocytosis显示文摘Leucine can affect intestinal protein expressions, and improve mucosal immune function. However, little study has been conducted to determine the change of protein component by leucine treatment in intestine epithelial cells. The present study was to cover the key proteins and cell pathways that could be regulated by leucine treatment in porcine intestinal epithelial cell line(IPEC-J2) cells with the approach of proteome analysis. A total number of 3,211 proteins were identified in our approach by searching the database of Uniprot sus scrofa. Among identified proteins, there were 101 proteins expressed differently between control group and leucine group. Compared with the control group, there were 50 up-regulated proteins and 51 down-regulated proteins in leucine group. In these proteins, leucine treatment decreased the expression of some proteins including pyruvate kinase, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase,E3 ubiquitin ligase, cathepsin D, caspase 3 and caspase 6, and increased the levels of some proteins, such as some eukaryotic translation initiation factors, ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase, DNA-related RNA polymerase II, urokinase plasminogen activator, cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2 b, Mut L homolog 1,5-methylcytosine binding domain 4, polymerase d, a-tubulin, syntaxin 18, Ras homolog D, actin related protein 2/3 complex and cofilin. Via the analysis of Gene Ontology and pathways, these proteins in IPECJ2 cells were related with some physiological functions, such as protein metabolism, glycolysis, cell proliferation, apoptosis and phagocytosis. Thus, these results suggest that leucine affects gut barrier function possibly via regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis, metabolism and phagocytosis. | Xiangbing Mao Man Ren Daiwen Chen Bing Yu Lianqiang Che Jun He Junqiu Luo Yuheng Luo Jianping Wang Hui Sun | 2018 | Animal Nutrition2018,,3: | 2
Morphological Development of Fuel Droplets after Impacting Biomimetic Structured Surfaces with Different Temperatures显示文摘To improve the controllability for the evaporation process of fuel spray impinging on the cylinder wall,an experimental study on the development of morphological process of different fuel droplets on aluminium alloy surfaces is carried out.The metal surfaces with different wettability are prepared by laser etching and chemical etching for the experiments. In total, three different fuels are tested and compared under different surface temperatures, including diesel,n-butanol and dimethyl carbonate(DMC).The results show that under a lower wall temperature, the surface wettability, viscosity and surface tension of the fuels have significant effects on spreading and rebounding behaviour of the droplets. As the wall temperature rises over the boiling points of the fuel but below its Leidenfrost temperature, the contact angles between the fuels and surfaces are varying according to the surface wettability, boiling point and Leidenfrost temperature of the fuels. When the temperature of the surface exceeds the Leidenfrost temperature of all the fuels, after impacting the surfaces, different fuel droplets tend to have the same development pattern, regardless of the surface wettability. The rebound level is mainly affected by the amount of fuel vapour generated during the wall-hitting process.Viscosity, surface tension and other properties of the fuel have little effect on post-impacting behaviour of the droplet when the wall temperature is higher than the Leidenfrost temperature of the fuel. | Liang Guo Yuheng Gao Ningning Cai Degang Li Yuying Yan Wanchen Sun | 2020 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,4: | 2

A Novel Hybrid Tag Identification Protocol for Large-Scale RFID Systems显示文摘Radio frequency identification technology is one of the main technologies of Internet of Things(IoT).Through the transmission and reflection of wireless radio frequency signals,non-contact identification is realized, and multiple objects identification can be realized. However, when multiple tags communicate with a singleton reader simultaneously, collision will occur between the signals, which hinders the successful transmissions. To effectively avoid the tag collision problem and improve the reading performance of RFID systems, two advanced tag identification algorithms namely Adaptive M-ary tree slotted Aloha(AMTS)based on the characteristics of Aloha-based and Query tree-based algorithms are proposed. In AMTS,the reader firstly uses the framed slotted Aloha protocol to map the tag set to different time slots, and then identify the collided tags using binary search method based on collision factor or mapping table. Both performance analysis and extensive experimental results indicate that our proposed algorithms significantly outperforms most existing anti-collision approaches in tag dense RFID systems. | Ye Mu Ruiwen Ni Yuheng Sun Tong Zhang Ji Li Tianli Hu He Gong Shijun Li Thobela Louis Tyasi | 2021 | Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,8: | 1

Effects of Different Row Ratios of Male and Female Parents and Application Amount of Nitrogen Fertilizer on Hybrid Wheat Seed Production and Its Component Factors显示文摘In order to screen suitable high hybrid wheat seed production technology, the split-plot experiment design was adopted and study was carried out about the effects of the different row ratios of male and female parents and application amount of nitrogen fertilizer on hybrid wheat seed production and its component factors. The results showed that the seed production increased with the increase in the number of female parent row. When the row ratio of male and female parents was 2 ∶ 6,the seed production was 3 683. 8 kg/ha; when the application amount of nitrogen fertilization was 50 kg/ha,the seed production was 3 649. 4 kg/ha; the interaction between the row ratio of male and female parents and the application amount of nitrogen fertilizer indicated that when the row ratio of male and female parents was 2∶ 6 and the application amount of nitrogen fertilizer was 300 kg/ha,the seed production reached the highest( 4160. 6 kg/ha). The row ratio of male and female parents and application amount of nitrogen fertilizer had significant effect on the component factors of seed production, including the number of grains per spike, spike weight and setting percentage. When the row ratio of male and female parents was 2∶ 5,the number of grains per spike, spike weight and setting percentage were the highest at 26. 7 grains,1. 12 g,and 62. 6% respectively; when application amount of nitrogen fertilizer was 450 kg/ha,the number of grains per spike, spike weight and setting percentage were the highest at 26. 0 grains,1. 08 g,and59. 2% respectively; the interaction of row ratio of male and female parents and application amount of nitrogen fertilizer had significant effect on the number of grains per spike, spike weight and setting percentage; when the row ratio of male and female parents was 2∶ 5 and the application amount of nitrogen fertilizer was 300 kg/ha,the number of grains per spike, spike weight and setting percentage were the highest at 29. 6grains,1. 24 g,and 71. 6% respectively. The number of grains per spike is the largest component factor for seed production. Increasing the number of grains per spike can increase the seed production. According to the effects of row ratio of male and female parents and application amount of nitrogen fertilizer on the component factors of seed production, the optimal condition was 2∶ 5-2∶ 6 for row ratio of male and female parents and 300-450 kg/ha for application amount of nitrogen fertilizer. | Can SUN Renwu RUAN Lili YAN Dan HU Xingbei LIU Hengzhi SHE Manman XU Zhongan LI Zelin YI Yuheng YANG | 2017 | Asian Agricultural Research2017,9,3: | 1
Fabrication of Superhydrophobic–Hydrophilic Patterned Cu@Ag Composite SERS Substrate via Femtosecond Laser显示文摘Ultralow concentration molecular detection is critical in various fields,e.g.,food safety, environmental monitoring, and dis-ease diagnosis.Highly sensitive surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)based on ultra-wettable surfaces has attracted attention due to its unique ability to detect trace molecules. However, the complexity and cost associated with the preparation of traditional SERS substrates restrict their practical application. Thus,an efficient SERS substrate preparation with high sensitivity,a simplified process, and controllable cost is required. In this study,a superhydrophobic–hydrophilic patterned Cu@Ag composite SERS substrate was fabricated using femtosecond laser processing technology combined with silver plating and surface modification treatment.By inducing periodic stripe structures through femtosecond laser processing, the developed substrate achieves uniform distribution hotspots.Using the surface wettability difference, the object to be measured can be confined in the hydrophilic region and the edge of the hydrophilic region, where the analyte is enriched by the coffee ring effect, can be quickly located by surface morphology difference of micro-nanostructures;thus,greatly improving detec-tion efficiency. The fabricated SERS substrate can detect Rhodamine 6G(R6G)at an extraordinarily low concentration of 10^(−15)mol/L,corresponding to an enhancement factor of 1.53×10^(8).This substrate has an ultralow detection limit, incurs low processing costs and is simple to prepare;thus, the substrate has significant application potential in the trace analysis field. | Yuheng Zhang Zongwei Xu Kun Zhang Ying Song Bing Dong Jianshi Wang Mengzhi Yan Qingqing Sun | 2024 | Nanomanufacturing and Metrology2024,7,1: | 0

HuR-mediated nucleocytoplasmic translocation of HOTAIR relieves its inhibition of osteogenic differentiation and promotes bone formation显示文摘Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell(BMSC)osteogenic differentiation and osteoblast function play critical roles in bone formation, which is a highly regulated process.Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)perform diverse functions in a variety of biological processes, including BMSC osteogenic differentiation.Although several studies have reported that HOX transcript antisense RNA(HOTAIR)is involved in BMSC osteogenic differentiation, its effect on bone formation in vivo remains unclear. Here,by constructing transgenic mice with BMSC(Prx1-HOTAIR)-and osteoblast(Bglap-HOTAIR)-specific overexpression of HOTAIR,we found that Prx1-HOTAIR and Bglap-HOTAIR transgenic mice show different bone phenotypes in vivo.Specifically,Prx1-HOTAIR mice showed delayed bone formation, while Bglap-HOTAIR mice showed increased bone formation.HOTAIR inhibits BMSC osteogenic differentiation but promotes osteoblast function in vitro.Furthermore,we identified that HOTAIR is mainly located in the nucleus of BMSCs and in the cytoplasm of osteoblasts.HOTAIR displays a nucleocytoplasmic translocation pattern during BMSC osteogenic differentiation. We first identified that the RNA-binding protein human antigen R(HuR)is responsible for HOTAIR nucleocytoplasmic translocation.HOTAIR is essential for osteoblast function, and cytoplasmic HOTAIR binds to miR-214 and acts as a ceRNA to increase Atf4 protein levels and osteoblast function.BglapHOTAIR mice, but not Prx1-HOTAIR mice, showed alleviation of bone loss induced by unloading. This study reveals the importance of temporal and spatial regulation of HOTAIR in BMSC osteogenic differentiation and bone formation, which provides new insights into precise regulation as a target for bone loss. | Yuheng Li Weijia Sun Jianwei Li Ruikai Du Wenjuan Xing Xinxin Yuan Guohui Zhong Dingsheng Zhao Zizhong Liu Xiaoyan Jin Junjie Pan Youyou Li Qi Li Guanghan Kan Xuan Han Shukuan Ling Xiqing Sun Yingxian Li | 2023 | Bone Research2023,11,4: | 0

Research Article In situ reconstruction induced oxygen-deficient multiphase Cu based species hybridized with Ni single atoms as tandem platform for CO_(2) electroreduction显示文摘Tandem catalysis, capable of decoupling individual steps, provides a feasible way to build a high-efficiency CO_(2) electro-conversion system for multicarbons(C_(2+)).The construction of electrocatalytic materials is one of focusing issues.Herein,we fabricated a single atom involved multivalent oxide-derived Cu composite material and found it inclined to reconstruct into oxygen-deficient multiphase Cu based species hybridized with monatomic Ni on N doped C matrix. In this prototype, rapid CO generation and C-C coupling are successively achieved on NiN4 sites and surface amorphized Cu species with defects, resembling a micro-production line.In this way,the in situ formed tandem catalyst exhibited a high Faradaic efficiency(FE)of~78%for C_(2+)products along with satisfactory durability over 50 h.Particularly, the reconstruction-induced amorphous layer with abundant asymmetric sites should be favorable to improve the ethanol selectivity(FE:63%),which is about 10 times higher than that of the non-tandem Cu-based contrast material. This work offers a new approach for manipulating tandem catalyst systems towards enhancing C_(2+)products. | Juzhe Liu Yuheng Wang Pengpeng Mo Feng Yang Kaiqi Jiang Zhixiang Cheng Yuxuan Liu Zhiyi Sun Zheng Liu Yimei Zhang Wenxing Chen | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,5: | 0
Spatial Distribution and Influencing Factors of Urban Shrinkage from the Perspective of Factor Flow - A Case Study of National Urban Agglomerations显示文摘This paper examines national urban agglomerations by taking factor flows as the focal point as the research subject.By dividing the stages of urban agglomeration development,a comprehensive framework of urban shrinkage is constructed, encompassing economic, population, and social shrinkage. The study explores the spatial distribution characteristics of urban shrinkage during different stages of urban agglomeration and investigates the influencing factors using a geographic detector model. The findings reveal that urban shrinkage within urban agglomerations is widely spread, predominantly in peripheral areas.During the diffusion stage, urban shrinkage is scattered, with population shrinkage concentrated in peripheral regions, economic shrinkage concentrated on old industrial cities, and social shrinkage concentrated on the northeast. The outcomes of the geographic detector model indicate that traffic flow, capital flow, information flow, node importance, network connectivity, government investment, openness, and environmental regulations all play significant roles in shaping the spatial distribution of urban shrinkage. | Yuheng Sun Zhifei Ma Huan Huang | 2023 | Journal of Architectural Research and Development2023,7,5: | 0
