1Multiscale carbon foam confining single iron atoms for efficient electrocatalytic CO2 reduction to CO显示文摘Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction to CO is a sustainable process for energy conversion.However,this process is still hindered by the diffusi limited mass transfer,low electrical conductivity and catalytic activity.Therefore,new strategies for catalyst design should be adopted to solve these problems and improve the electrocatalytic performa nee for CO production.Herein,we report a multiscale carb on foam confining〔single iron atoms prepared with the assistant of S1O2 template.The pore-enriched environment at the macro-scale facilitates the diffusion of reacta nts and products.The graphe ne nano sheets at the nano-scale promote the charge tran sfer duri ng the reaction.The single iron atoms con fined in carb on matrix at the atomic-scale provide the active sites for electrocatalytic CO2 reductio n to CO.The optimized catalyst achieves a CO Faradaic efficiency of 94.9%at a moderate potential of-0.5 V vs.RHE.Furthermore,the performance can be maintained over 60 hours due to the stable single iron atoms coordi nated with four n itroge n atoms in the carb on matrix.This work provides a promising strategy to improve both the activity and stability of single atom catalysts for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction to CO.Zheng Zhang Chao Ma Yunchuan Tu Rui Si Jie Wei Shuhong Zhang Zhen Wang Jian-Feng Li Ye Wang Dehui Deng 2019Nano Research2019,12,9:11
2Fast integration and accumulation of beneficial breeding alleles through an AB–NAMIC strategy in wheat显示文摘Wheat(Triticum aestivum)is among the most important staple crops for safeguarding the food security of the growing world population.To bridge the gap between genebank diversity and breeding programs,we developed an advanced backcross-nested association mapping plus inter-crossed population(AB-NAMIC)by crossing three popular wheat cultivars as recurrent founders to 20 germplasm lines from a mini core collection.Selective backcrossing combined with selection against undesirable traits and extensive crossing within and between sub-populations created new opportunities to detect unknown genes and increase the frequency of beneficial alleles in the AB-NAMIC population.We performed phenotyping of 590 AB-NAMIC lines and a natural panel of 476 cultivars for six consecutive growing seasons and genotyped these 1066 lines with a 660K SNP array.Genome-wide association studies of both panels for plant development and yield traits demonstrated improved power to detect rare alleles and loci with medium genetic effects in AB-NAMIC.Notably,genome-wide association studies in AB-NAMIC detected the candidate gene TaSWEET6-7B(TraesCS7B03G1216700),which has high homology to the rice SWEET6b gene and exerts strong effects on adaptation and yield traits.The commercial release of two derived AB-NAMIC lines attests to its direct applicability in wheat improvement.Valuable information on genome-wide association studymapping,candidate genes,and their haplotypes for breeding traits are available through WheatGAB.Our research provides an excellent framework for fast-tracking exploration and accumulation of beneficial alleles stored in genebanks.Chengzhi Jiao Chenyang Hao Tian Li Abhishek Bohra Lanfen Wang Jian Hou Hongxia Liu Hong Liu Jing Zhao Yamei Wang Yunchuan Liu Zhiwei Wang Xin Jing Xiue Wang Rajeev K.Varshney Junjie Fu Xueyong Zhang 2023Plant Communications2023,4,3:3
3Overexpression of miR-101 suppresses collagen synthesis by targeting EZH2 in hypertrophic scar fibroblasts显示文摘Background:MicroRNA-101(miR-101)is a tumor suppressor microRNA(miRNA)and its loss is associated with the occurrence and progression of various diseases.However,the biological function and target of miR-101 in the pathogenesis of hypertrophic scars(HS)remains unknown.Methods:We harvested HS and paired normal skin(NS)tissue samples from patients and cultured their fibroblasts(HSF and NSF,respectively).We used quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH),enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA)and Western blot analyses to measure mRNA levels and protein expression of miR-101,enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2),collagen 1 and 3(Col1 and Col3)andα-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)in different in vitro conditions.We also used RNA sequencing to evaluate the relevant signaling pathways and bioinformatics analysis and dual-luciferase reporter assays to predict miR-101 targets.We utilized a bleomycin-induced fibrosis mouse model in which we injected miR-101 mimics to evaluate collagen deposition in vivo.Results:We found low expression of miR-101 in HS and HSF compared to NS and NSF.Overexpressing miR-101 decreased Col1,Col3 andα-SMA expression in HSF.We detected high expression of EZH2 in HS and HSF.Knockdown of EZH2 decreased Col1,Col3 andα-SMA in HSF.Mechanistically,miR-101 targeted the 3-untranslated region(3UTR)of EZH2,as indicated by the decreased expression of EZH2.Overexpressing EZH2 rescued miR-101-induced collagen repression.MiR-101 mimics effectively suppressed collagen deposition in the bleomycin-induced fibrosis mouse model.Conclusions:Our data reveal that miR-101 targets EZH2 in HS collagen production,providing new insight into the pathological mechanisms underlying HS formation.Jie Li Yan Li Yunchuan Wang Xiang He Jing Wang Weixia Cai Yanhui Jia Dan Xiao Jian Zhang Ming Zhao Kuo Shen Zichao Li Wenbin Jia Kejia Wang Yue Zhang Linlin Su Huayu Zhu Dahai Hu 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:3
4Enhancement of cooperation between file systems and applications — VFS extensions for optimized performance显示文摘Modern operating systems incorporate an abstract layer called Virtual File System(VFS), which is positioned between user applications and real file systems to hide the differences of various file systems and to expose generic application interfaces for requesting file system services. However, VFS sometimes does not give applications an opportunity to pass information to file systems to help them make correct optimization decisions. In this paper, we review the Linux VFS, discuss its deficiencies and propose several extensions to allow applications to cooperate with the file systems more efficiently. We introduce simple prefetching interfaces and advisory flags to allow applications to communicate application-related semantics to VFS and/or the underlying file systems. These suggestions, which neither affect the semantics of applications nor modify their programming models, not only lead to simple VFS/file systems but also guide them to make correct performance-related decisions, if required. 5Reversible switching between normal and thermally activated delayed fluorescence towards “smart” and single compound whitelight luminescence via controllable conformational distribution显示文摘An organic compound exhibiting simultaneously reversible switch between its emission colors and luminescence mechanisms,possessing high contrast from deep blue normal fluorescence(NF) to yellow thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF),is reported. Based on these two complementary colors, white-light emission combining NF and TADF from a single compound can be achieved in various states. 6Anion Exchange Membrane Based on Interpenetrating Polymer Network with Ultrahigh Ion Conductivity and Excellent Stability for Alkaline Fuel Cell显示文摘A high-performance anion exchange membrane(AEM)is critical for the development of alkaline fuel cell.In this work,AEMs with an interpenetrating polymer network(IPN)are synthesized.An electron microscope clearly reveals a highly efficient“ion channel”network,which is constructed with a small amount of cation exchange groups.This specially designed ion channel leads to extraordinary hydroxide conductivity(e.g.,257.8 mS cm^(-1) at 80℃)of IPN AEMs at moderate ion exchange capacity(IEC=1:75 mmol g^(-1)),as well as excellent long-term alkaline stability at harsh condition which showed that 81%of original conductivity can be retained after a long time for 1248 hours.Moreover,a remarkable peak power density of 1.20 Wcm^(-2)(0.1 MPa backpressure)with nonprecious metal(FeNx-CNTs)as oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)catalyst in a fuel cell test was achieved.This work offers a general strategy to prepare high-performance AEMs based on IPN structure design.Lingping Zeng Qian He Yunchuan Liao Shangyi Kuang Jianchuan Wang Wei Ding Qiang Liao Zidong Wei 2020Research2020,,1:2

13LCCFS: a lightweight distributed file system for cloud computing without journaling and metadata services显示文摘The major usage of a file system integrated with a cloud computing platform is to provide the storage for VM(virtual machine) instances. Distributed file systems, especially those implemented on top of object storage have many potential advantages over traditional local file systems for VM instance storage. In this paper, we make an investigation in the requirements imposed on a file system in cloud computing scenario,and claim that the implementation of a file system for VM instance storage could be reasonably simplified. We demonstrate that on top of an object storage with simple object-granularity transaction support, a lightweight distributed file system, which requires neither journaling nor dedicated metadata services, can be developed for cloud computing. We have implemented such a distributed file system, called LCCFS(lightweight cloud computing file system), based on the RADOS(reliable autonomic distributed object storage) object storage.Our experimental results show that for the main workloads in cloud computing, LCCFS achieves almost the same or slightly higher performance than CephFS(ceph filesystem), another published distributed file system based on RADOS. Compared to CephFS, LCCFS has only one tenth of its LOCs(lines of code). 15Highly efficient conversion of surplus electricity to hydrogen energy via polysulfides redox显示文摘Decoupled electrolysis of water is a promising strategy for peak load regulation of electricity.The key to developing this technology is to construct decoupled devices containing stable redox mediators and corresponding efficient catalysts,which remains a considerable challenge.Herein,we designed a high-performance device,using polysulfides as mediators and graphene-encapsulated CoNi as catalysts.It produced H2 with a low potential of 0.82 V at 100 mA/cm^(2),saving 60.2%more energy than direct water electrolysis.The capacity of H2 production reached 2.53105 mAh/cm^(2),which is the highest capacity reported so far.This device exhibited excellent cyclability in 15-day recycle tests,without any decay of performance.The calculation results revealed that the electronic structure of the graphene shell was modulated by the electron transfer from N-dopant and metal core,which significantly facilitated recycle of polysulfides on graphene surfaces.This study provides a promising method for constructing a smart grid by developing efficient decoupled devices.Mo Zhang Jing Guan Yunchuan Tu Suheng Wang Dehui Deng 2021The Innovation2021,2,3:1

18A disk failure prediction model for multiple issues显示文摘Disk failure prediction methods have been useful in handing a single issue,e.g.,heterogeneous disks,model aging,and minority samples.However,because these issues often exist simultaneously,prediction models that can handle only one will result in prediction bias in reality.Existing disk failure prediction methods simply fuse various models,lacking discussion of training data preparation and learning patterns when facing multiple issues,although the solutions to different issues often conflict with each other.As a result,we first explore the training data preparation for multiple issues via a data partitioning pattern,i.e.,our proposed multi-property data partitioning(MDP).Then,we consider learning with the partitioned data for multiple issues as learning multiple tasks,and introduce the model-agnostic meta-learning(MAML)framework to achieve the learning.Based on these improvements,we propose a novel disk failure prediction model named MDP-MAML.MDP addresses the challenges of uneven partitioning and difficulty in partitioning by time,and MAML addresses the challenge of learning with multiple domains and minor samples for multiple issues.In addition,MDP-MAML can assimilate emerging issues for learning and prediction.On the datasets reported by two real-world data centers,compared to state-of-the-art methods,MDP-MAML can improve the area under the curve(AUC)and false detection rate(FDR)from 0.85 to0.89 and from 0.85 to 0.91,respectively,while reducing false alarm rate(FAR)from 4.88%to 2.85%.Yunchuan GUAN Yu LIU Ke ZHOU Qiang LI Tuanjie WANG Hui LI 2023Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,7:0
19TabHLH95-TaNF-YB1 module promotes grain starch synthesis in bread wheat显示文摘Starch is the most abundant substance in wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)endosperm and provides the major carbohydrate energy for human daily life.Starch synthesis-related(SSR)genes are believed to be spatiotemporally specific,but their transcriptional regulation remains unclear in wheat.Here,we investigate the role of the basic helix-loop-helix(bHLH)transcription factor TabHLH95 in starch synthesis.TabHLH95 is preferentially expressed in the developing grains in wheat and encodes a nucleus localized protein without autoactivation activity.The Tabhlh95 knockout mutants display smaller grain size and less starch content than wild type,whereas overexpression of TabHLH95 enhances starch accumulation and significantly improves thousand grain weight.Transcriptome analysis reveals that the expression of multiple SSR genes is significantly reduced in the Tabhlh95 mutants.TabHLH95 binds to the promoters of ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase large subunit 1(AGPL1-1D/-1B),AGPL2-5D,and isoamylase(ISA1-7D)and enhances their transcription.Intriguingly,TabHLH95 interacts with the nuclear factor Y(NF-Y)family transcription factor TaNF-YB1,thereby synergistically regulating starch synthesis.These results suggest that the TabHLH95-TaNF-YB1 complex positively modulates starch synthesis and grain weight by regulating the expression of a subset of SSR genes,thus providing a good potential approach for genetic improvement of grain productivity in wheat.Yunchuan Liu Wei Xi Xiaolu Wang Huifang Li Hongxia Liu Tian Li Jian Hou Xu Liu Chenyang Hao Xueyong Zhang 2023Journal of Genetics and Genomics2023,50,11:0
20Exosome/metformin-loaded self-healing conductive hydrogel rescues microvascular dysfunction and promotes chronic diabetic wound healing by inhibiting mitochondrial fission显示文摘Chronic diabetic wounds remain a globally recognized clinical challenge.They occur due to high concentrations of reactive oxygen species and vascular function disorders.A promising strategy for diabetic wound healing is the delivery of exosomes,comprising bioactive dressings.Metformin activates the vascular endothelial growth factor pathway,thereby improving angiogenesis in hyperglycemic states.However,multifunctional hydrogels loaded with drugs and bioactive substances synergistically promote wound repair has been rarely reported,and the mechanism of their combinatorial effect of exosome and metformin in wound healing remains unclear.Here,we engineered dual-loaded hydrogels possessing tissue adhesive,antioxidant,self-healing and electrical conductivity properties,wherein 4-armed SH-PEG cross-links with Ag^(+),which minimizes damage to the loaded goods and investigated their mechanism of promotion effect for wound repair.Multiwalled carbon nanotubes exhibiting good conductivity were also incorporated into the hydrogels to generate hydrogen bonds with the thiol group,creating a stable three-dimensional structure for exosome and metformin loading.The diabetic wound model of the present study suggests that the PEG/Ag/CNT-M+E hydrogel promotes wound healing by triggering cell proliferation and angiogenesis and relieving peritraumatic inflammation and vascular injury.The mechanism of the dual-loaded hydrogel involves reducing the level of reactive oxygen species by interfering with mitochondrial fission,thereby protecting F-actin homeostasis and alleviating microvascular dysfunction.Hence,we propose a drug-bioactive substance combination therapy and provide a potential mechanism for developing vascular function-associated strategies for treating chronic diabetic wounds.Yue Zhang Meng Li Yunchuan Wang Fei Han Kuo Shen Liang Luo Yan Li Yanhui Jia Jian Zhang Weixia Cai Kejia Wang Ming Zhao Jing Wang Xiaowen Gao Chenyang Tian Baolin Guo Dahai Hu 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,8:0
