Influence of Weave Structures on the Tribological Properties of Hybrid Kevlar/PTFE Fabric Composites显示文摘The existing research of the woven fabric self-lubricating liner mainly focus on the tribological performance improvements and the service life raised by changing different fiber type combinations, adding additive modification, and performing fiber surface modification. As fabric composites, the weave structures play an important role in the mechanical and tribological performances of the liners. However, hardly any literature is available on the friction and wear behavior of such composites with different weave structures. In this paper, three weave structures (plain, twill 1/3 and satin 8/5) of hybrid Kevlar/PTFE fabric composites are selected and pin-on-flat linear reciprocating wear studies are done on a CETR tester under different pressures and different frequencies. The relationship between the tensile strength and the wear performance are studied. The morphologies of the worn surfaces under the typical test conditions are analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The analysis results show that at 10 MPa, satin 8/5 performs the best in friction-reduction and antiwear performance, and plain is the worst. At 30 MPa, however, the antiwear performance is reversed and satin 8/5 does not even complete the 2 h wear test at 16 Hz. There is no clear evidence proving that the tensile strength has an influence on the wear performance. So the different tribological performance of the three weave structures of fabric composites may be attributed to the different PTFE proportions in the fabric surface and the different wear mechanisms. The fabric composites are divided into three regions: the lubrication region, the reinforced region and the bonding region. The major mechanisms are fatigue wear and the shear effects of the friction force in the lubrication region. In the reinforced region fiber-matrix de-bonding and fiber breakage are involved. The proposed research proposes a regional wear model and further indicates the wear process and the wear mechanism of fabric composites. | GU Dapeng YANG Yulin QI Xiaowen DENG Wei SHI Lei | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,5: | 12
Targeting cancer stem cell pathways for cancer therapy显示文摘Since cancer stem cells(CSCs)were first identified in leukemia in 1994,they have been considered promising therapeutic targets for cancer therapy. These cells have self-renewal capacity and differentiation potential and contribute to multiple tumor malignancies, such as recurrence, metastasis, heterogeneity, multidrug resistance, and radiation resistance. The biological activities of CSCs are regulated by several pluripotent transcription factors, such as OCT4,Sox2,Nanog,KLF4,and MYC.In addition, many intracellular signaling pathways, such as Wnt,NF-κB(nuclear factor-κB),Notch,Hedgehog,JAK-STAT(Janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription),PI3K/AKT/mTOR(phosphoinositide 3-kinase/AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin),TGF(transforming growth factor)/SMAD,and PPAR(peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor),as well as extracellular factors, such as vascular niches,hypoxia,tumor-associated macrophages,cancer-associated fibroblasts,cancer-associated mesenchymal stem cells, extracellular matrix, and exosomes, have been shown to be very important regulators of CSCs.Molecules, vaccines, antibodies, and CAR-T(chimeric antigen receptor T cell)cells have been developed to specifically target CSCs,and some of these factors are already undergoing clinical trials. This review summarizes the characterization and identification of CSCs,depicts major factors and pathways that regulate CSC development, and discusses potential targeted therapy for CSCs. | Liqun Yang Pengfei Shi Gaichao Zhao Jie Xu Wen Peng Jiayi Zhang Guanghui Zhang Xiaowen Wang Zhen Dong Fei Chen Hongjuan Cui | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 12
Effects of Friction Heat on the Tribological Properties of the Woven Self-lubricating Liner显示文摘In the dry-sliding process of the woven self-lubricating liner which is used in the self-lubricating spherical plain bearing, the friction heat plays an important role in the tribological performances of the liner. It has important value to study on the relationship between tribological performances of the liner and the friction heat. Unfortunately, up to now, published work on this relationship is quite scarce. Therefore, the effect of friction heat on the tribological performances of the liner was investigated in the present work. The tribological behaviors of the liner were evaluated by using the high temperature end surface wear tester. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was utilized to examine the morphologies of worn surfaces of the liner and study the failure modes. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurement and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis were performed to study the behaviors of the wear debris. The temperature rise on the worn surface was calculated according to classical models. SEM observation shows that the dominating wear mechanism for the liner is mainly affected by friction shear force, contact pressure and friction heat. Higher fusion heat for the wear debris than that for the pure polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) indicates that the PTFE is the main portion of the wear debris, and, the PTFE in the wear debris shows a higher crystallisation degree owing to the effects of friction shear force and the friction heat. Combining the calculated temperature rise results with the wear rate of the liner, it can be concluded that the effects of temperature rise on the tribological performances of the liner become more obvious when the temperature rise exceeds the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the PTFE. The wear resistance of the liner deteriorates dramatically when the temperature rise approaches to the melting point (Ton) of the PTFE. The tribological performances of the liner can be improved when the temperature rise exceeds Tg but is far lower than Ton. The present study on the relationship between the temperature rise and the tribological performances of the liner may provide the basis for further understanding of the wear mechanisms of the liner as well as the relationship between the formation of the PTFE transfer film and the friction heat during the dry-sliding of the liner. | YANG Yulin ZU Dalei ZHANG Ruijun QI Xiaowen | 2009 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,6: | 12
Development of microsatellite markers and their utilization in genetic diversity analysis of cultivated and wild populations of the mud carp (Cirrhina molitorella)显示文摘Microsatellite markers have been increasingly used in genetic studies on fishery species because of their high applicability in selective breeding programs. Here we reported the development of microsatellite markers and their utilization in mud carp (Cirrhina molitorella). An (CA)15 enriched library has been constructed for mud carp, using the magnetic beads enrichment procedure. Sequence analysis of 60 randomly picked positive colonies indicate that 56 (93.3%) of the colonies contain microsatellites. Microsatellite polymorphism was as-sessed using 10 mud carp individuals, and 12 microsatellite loci turned out to be polymorphic. We utilized these loci to study the genetic diversity of a wild population (WM) and a cultured population (CM) of the mud carp. A total of 109 alleles were detected with an average of 9.08 alleles per locus. The mean value of the observed heterozygosity of WM and CM was 0.6361 and 0.6417, respectively, and sig-nificant decrease of genetic diversity in CM was not observed. The genetic distance between the two populations was 0.1546 and the value of GST was 0.0473. This showed that there existed a slight genetic differentiation between WM and CM. | Cheng Yang Xinping Zhu Xiaowen Sun | 2008 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2008,35,4: | 9
Study of the minerogenetic mechanism and origin of Qinghai nephrite from Golmud, Qinghai, Northwest China显示文摘Electronic microprobe analysis showed that all QN samples are mainly composed of tremolite and minor accessory minerals, such as diopside, calcite, serpentinite, and magnetite. According to the cation coefficients, the crystallo-chemistrygenesis illustration demonstrates that all QN deposits are contact metasomatic. Depending on the mole percent of Fe^(2+(3+))/(Mg^(2+)+Fe^(2+(3+)) and the content of Cr, Co, and Ni in all QN samples measured by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy(XRF) and inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(ICP-MS), green and azure-green QNs are characterized as serpentinite-related contact metasomatic deposit(S-type), whereas white, green-white, brown, blue-violet, yellow, and viridis QNs are dolomite-related contact metasomatic deposit(D-type). The assemblages and chemical composition of accessory minerals of the eight-color QN samples show evident characteristics, which reveal four possible ore-forming processes. We also measured trace and rare earth elements(REEs) in these samples through ICP-MS to deduce the origin of and the changes in metallogenic conditions. The chondrite-normalized REE patterns of D-type QN exhibit moderately negative Eu anomalies with moderate light REE enrichment, flat heavy REE(HREE), and low(50)REE concentrations, similar to dolomitic marble. Green QN samples of S-type show enrichment in HREE and moderately negative Eu anomalies, which is consistent with characteristics of dunite. Whereas azure-green QN samples of S-type exhibit a right-dipping V-type curve with severe depletion in Eu(δEu=0.36–0.47), in accordance with the characteristics of gabbro from Yushigou ophiolite in North Qilian mountains. Furthermore, this finding is consistent with the content of trace elements and the petrographic analysis results. On the basis of several significant differences in the characteristic elements, which may have been affected by the metallogenic environment, we inferred the differences in oxygen fugacity and basicity of mineralization environments in different-colored QNs. | YU HaiYan WANG RuCheng GUO JiChun LI JiaGui YANG XiaoWen | 2016 | Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,8: | 8
Multi-omics analyses of 398 foxtail millet accessions reveal genomic regions associated with domestication, metabolite traits, and antiinflammatory effects显示文摘Foxtail millet(Setaria italica),which was domesticatedfromthewild speciesgreenfoxtail(Setaria viridis),isa richsource of phytonutrientsfor humans. To evaluate how breeding changed themetabolome offoxtail millet grains,we generated and analyzed the datasets encompassing the genomes, transcriptomes, metabolomes, and anti-inflammatory indices from 398 foxtail millet accessions. We identified hundreds of common variants that influence numerous secondary metabolites. We observed tremendous differences in natural variations of the metabolites and their underlying genetic architectures between distinct sub-groups of foxtail millet.Furthermore,we found that the selection of the gene alleles associated with yellow grains led to altered profiles of metabolites such as carotenoids and endogenous phytohormones.Using CRiSPR-mediated genome editing wevalidated the function of PHYTOENE SYNTHASE1(PSY1)gene in affecting milletgrain colorand quality.Interestingly, our in vitro cell inflammation assays showed that 83 metabolites in millet grains have anti-inflammatory effects.Taken together,ourmulti-omics study illustrates how the breeding history of foxtail millet has shaped its metabolite profile. The datasets we generated in this study also provide important resources for further understanding how millet grain quality is affected by different metabolites, laying the foundations for future millet genetic research and metabolome-assisted improvement. | Xukai Li Jianhua Gao Jingyi Song Kai Guo Siyu Hou Xingchun Wang Qiang He Yanyan Zhang Yakun Zhang Yulu Yang Jiaoyan Tang Hailang Wang Staffan Persson Mingquan Huang Lishuai Xu Linlin Zhong Dongqin Li Yongming Liu Hua Wu Xianmin Diao Peng Chen Xiaowen Wang Yuanhuai Han | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,8: | 8
Highly stretchable polymer/silver nanowires composite sensor for human health monitoring显示文摘Flexible strain sensors exhibit outstanding advantages in terms of sensitivity and stability by detecting changes in physical signals. It can be easily attached to human skin and clothed to achieve monitoring of human motion and health. However, general sensing material shows low stretchability and cannot respond to signals under large deformation. In this work,a highly stretchable polymer composite was developed by adding small amount(0.17 wt.%)of silver nanowires(AgNWs)in stretchable conductive polymer materials. The conductivity of polymer/AgNWs composite is 1.3 S/m with the stretchability up to 500%.The stretchable strain sensor based on the polymer/AgNWs composite can respond to strain signals in real time, even for 1%strain response, and shows excellent stability over 1,000 loading/unloading cycles. Moreover, the strain sensor can be attached to human skin and clothed to monitor joints, throat and pulse of the human body. The human body electrocardiogram(ECG)signal was detected successfully with the polymer/AgNWs electrode, which is comparable to the signal obtained by the commercial electrode.Overall, the sensors enable monitoring of human movement and health. These advantages make it a potential application in wearable devices and electronic skin. | Yanjing Zhang Pei He Meng Luo Xiaowen Xu Guozhang Dai Junliang Yang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,4: | 7
Effect of Danhong injection on expressions of macrophage scavenger receptor 1 and sub-family A member 1 in human U937 cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of Danhong injection (DHI) on expression of the macrophage scavenger receptor 1 (MSR1) and ATP-binding cassette, sub-family A member 1 (ABCA1) genes, which encode scavenger receptor-A I (SR-AI) and ATP-binding cassette transporter 1 (ABCA1), respectively, as a potential anti-atherosclerotic mechanism. METHODS:HumanU937cellswerestimulatedbyincubation with 100 nM phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) for 48 h.These stimulated, monocyte-like cells were then incubated for 24 h with 50 mg/L oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL, to induce foam cell formation), together with a liver X receptor (LXR) agonist or with different DHI concentrations. MSR1 and ABCA1 mRNA levels were measured by fluorescence-based quantitative PCR. RESULTS: Compared with control cells (which received only ox-LDL), cells treated with both ox-LDL and 10 μmol/L LXR agonist showed lower MSR1 ex-pression (but this effect was not statistically significant, P>0.05) and higher ABCA1 expression (P< 0.01). Cells that received ox-LDL and 3 mL/L DHI possessed higher MSR1 mRNA levels than the controls, whereas cells treated with ox-LDL and higher DHI concentrations (10, 30 or 60 mL/L) showed lower MSR1 expression levels (but the differences observed between DHI concentration groups were not statistically significant, P>0.05). ABCA1 expression in cells treated with ox-LDL and 3, 10 or 30 mL/L DHI was higher than in the control cells, and increased with increasing DHI concentration (P<0.05). ABCA1 expression in cells treated with ox-LDL and the highest DHI concentration tested (60 mL/L) was not significantly different from that in the controls. ABCA1 mRNA levels in cells treated with ox-LDL and DHI were similar to, or lower than, those in cells treated with ox-LDL and the LXR agonist. CONCLUSION: DHI does not affect MSR1 mRNA levels in ox-LDL-treated U937 cells. However, at certain concentrations (10 and 30 mL/L), DHI significantly increases ABCA1 mRNA levels. Therefore, the anti-atherosclerotic action of DHI might be mediated by an increased expression of ABCA1. | Xianming Su Wei Yang Xiaowen Zhi | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,3: | 6
Isolation and oral immunogenicity assessment of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus NH-TA2020 strain:One of the predominant strains circulating in China from 2017 to 2021显示文摘Porcine epidemic diarrhea(PED)caused by porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV)is one of the most devastating diseases in the global pig industry due to its high mortality rate in piglets.Maternal vaccines can effectively enhance the gut-mammary gland-secretory IgA axis to boost lactogenic immunity and passive protection of nursing piglets against PEDV challenge. From 2017 to 2021,we collected 882 diarrhea samples from 303 farms in China to investigate the epidemiology of PEDV.The result showed that about 52.15%(158/303)of the farms were positive for PEDV with an overall detection rate of 63.95%(564/882)of the samples. The S1 fragments of S gene from 104 strains were sequenced for the phylogenetic analysis.A total of 71 PEDV strains(68.27%)sequenced in this study were clustered into the predominant G2c subgroup, while the newly-defined G2d strains(9.62%)were identified in three provinces of China. The NH-TA2020 strain of G2c subgroup was isolated and cultured, and its infection to piglets caused watery diarrhea within 24 h,indicating its strong pathogenicity.Oral administration of NH-TA2020 strain to pregnant gilts stimulated high levels of IgA antibody in colostrum. The piglets fed by the gilts above were challenged with NH-TA2020 strain or CH-HeB-RY-2020 strain from G2d subgroup, and the clinical symptoms and virus shedding were significantly reduced compared to the mock group. Our findings suggest that G2c subgroup is the predominant branch circulating in China from 2017 to 2021.Oral administration of NH-TA2020 enhances maternal IgA and lactogenic immune responses, which confer protection against the homologous and emerging G2d PEDV strains challenges in neonates. | Xiaowen Li Yang Li Jiapei Huang Yali Yao Wenying Zhao Yunjing Zhang Jie Qing Jing Ren Zhong Yan Zewei Wang Xiaofang Hu Duli Kang Hongqiang Liu Zhichun Yan | 2022 | Virologica Sinica2022,37,5: | 6
Characterization of aircraft emissions and air quality impacts of an international airport显示文摘Beijing Capital International Airport(ZBAA) is the world's second busiest airport. In this study, the emissions of air pollutants from aircraft and other sources at ZBAA in 2015 were estimated using an improved method, which considered the mixing layer height calculated based on aircraft meteorological data relay(AMDAR), instead of using the height(915 m)recommended by ICAO. The yearly emissions of NO_x, CO, VOCs, SO_2, and PM_(2.5) at the airport were 8.76 × 10~3, 4.43 × 10~3, 5.43 × 10~2, 4.80 × 10~2, and 1.49 × 10~2 ton/year, respectively. The spatial–temporal distribution of aircraft emissions was systematically analyzed to understand the emission characteristics of aircraft. The results indicated that NOxwas mainly emitted during the take-off and climb phases, accounting for 20.5% and 55.5% of the total emissions. CO and HC were mainly emitted during the taxi phase, accounting for 91.6%and 92.2% of the total emissions. Because the mixing layer height was high in summer, the emissions of aircraft were at the highest level throughout the year. Based on the detailed emissions inventory, four seasons simulation using WRF-CMAQ model was performed over the domain surrounding the airport. The results indicated that the contribution to PM_(2.5) was relatively high in winter; the average impact was about 1.15 μg/m^3 within a radius of1 km around the airport. Meanwhile, the near surroundings and southwest areas of the airport are the most sensitive to PM_(2.5). | Xiaowen Yang Shuiyuan Cheng Jianlei Lang Ran Xu Zhe Lv | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,10: | 5
Vertical Distribution Characteristics of PM2.5 Observed by a Mobile Vehicle Lidar in Tianjin, China in 2016显示文摘We present mobile vehicle lidar observations in Tianjin, China during the spring, summer, and winter of 2016. Mobile observations were carried out along the city border road of Tianjin to obtain the vertical distribution characteristics of PM_(2.5). Hygroscopic growth was not considered since relative humidity was less than 60% during the observation experiments. PM_(2.5) profile was obtained with the linear regression equation between the particle extinction coefficient and PM_(2.5) mass concentration. In spring, the vertical distribution of PM_(2.5) exhibited a hierarchical structure. In addition to a layer of particles that gathered near the ground, a portion of particles floated at 0.6–2.5-km height. In summer and winter, the fine particles basically gathered below 1 km near the ground. In spring and summer, the concentration of fine particles in the south was higher than that in the north because of the influence of south wind. In winter, the distribution of fine particles was opposite to that measured during spring and summer. High concentrations of PM_(2.5) were observed in the rural areas of North Tianjin with a maximum of 350 μg m–3 on 13 December2016. It is shown that industrial and ship emissions in spring and summer and coal combustion in winter were the major sources of fine particles that polluted Tianjin. The results provide insights into the mechanisms of haze formation and the effects of meteorological conditions during haze–fog pollution episodes in the Tianjin area. | Lihui LYU Yunsheng DONG Tianshu ZHANG Cheng LIU Wenqing LIU Zhouqing XIE Yan XIANG Yi ZHANG Zhenyi CHEN Guangqiang FAN Leibo ZHANG Yang LIU Yuchen SHI Xiaowen SHU | 2018 | Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,1: | 5

Wearable CNT/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene/PDMS composite strain sensor with enhanced stability for real-time human healthcare monitoring显示文摘Strain sensors with good stability are vital to the development of wearable healthcare monitoring systems. However, the design of strain sensor with both duration stability and environmental stability is still a challenge. In this work,we propose an ultra-stable and washable strain sensor by embedding a coupled composite film of carbon nanotube(CNT)and Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene into polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)matrix. The composite strain sensor with embedded microstructure and uneven surface makes it conformal to skin, while the CNT/MXene sensing layer exhibits a resistance sensitive to strain. This sensor shows reliable responses at different frequencies and with long-term cycling durability(over 1,000 cycles).Meanwhile, the CNT/MXene/PDMS composite strain sensor provides the advantages of superior anti-interference to temperature change and water washing. The results demonstrate less than 10%resistance changes as the temperature rises from-20 to 80℃or after sonication in water for 120 min, respectively. The composite sensor is applied to monitor human joint motions, such as bending of finger, wrist and elbow. Moreover, the simultaneous monitoring of the electrocardiogram(ECG)signal and joint movement while riding a sports bicycle is demonstrated, enabling the great potential of the as-fabricated sensor in real-time human healthcare monitoring. | Xiaowen Xu Yucheng Chen Pei He Song Wang Kai Ling Longhui Liu Pengfei Lei Xianjun Huang Hu Zhao Jianyun Cao Junliang Yang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,8: | 5
Practical high-performance lead-free piezoelectrics:structural flexibility beyond utilizing multiphase coexistence显示文摘Due to growing concern for the environment and human health, searching for high-performance lead-free piezoceramics has been a hot topic of scientific and industrial research. Despite the significant progress achieved toward enhancing piezoelectricity, further efforts should be devoted to the synergistic improvement of piezoelectricity and its thermal stability. This study provides new insight into these topics.A new KNN-based lead-free ceramic material is presented, which features a large piezoelectric coefficient(d33) exceeding 500 pC/N and a high Curie temperature(Tc) of ~200℃. The superior piezoelectric response strongly relies on the increased composition-induced structural flexibility due to lattice softening and decreased unit cell distortion. In contrast to piezoelectricity anomalies induced via polymorphic transition, this piezoelectricity enhancement is effective within a broad temperature range rather than a specific small range. In particular, a hierarchical domain architecture composed of nano-sized domains along the submicron domains was detected in this material system, which further contributes to the high piezoelectricity. | Qing Liu Yichi Zhang Jing Gao Zhen Zhou Dong Yang Kai-Yang Lee Andrew Studer Manuel Hinterstein Ke Wang Xiaowen Zhang Longtu Li Jing-Feng Li | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,2: | 5
On the effective inversion by imposing a priori information for retrieval of land surface parameters显示文摘The anisotropy of the land surface can be best described by the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF). As the field of multiangular remote sensing advances, it is increasingly probable that BRDF models can be inverted to estimate the important biological or climatological parameters of the earth surface such as leaf area index and albedo. The state-of-the-art of BRDF is the use of the linear kernel-driven models, mathematically described as the linear combination of the isotropic kernel, volume scattering kernel and geometric optics kernel. The computational stability is characterized by the algebraic operator spectrum of the kernel-matrix and the observation errors. Therefore, the retrieval of the model coefficients is of great importance for computation of the land surface albedos. We first consider the smoothing solution method of the kernel-driven BRDF models for retrieval of land surface albedos. This is known as an ill-posed inverse problem. The ill-posedness arises from that the linear kernel driven BRDF model is usually underdetermined if there are too few looks or poor directional ranges, or the observations are highly dependent. For example, a single angular observation may lead to an under-determined system whose solution is infinite (the null space of the kernel operator contains nonzero vectors) or no solution (the rank of the coefficient matrix is not equal to the augmented matrix). Therefore, some smoothing or regularization technique should be applied to suppress the ill-posedness. So far, least squares error methods with a priori knowledge, QR decomposition method for inversion of the BRDF model and regularization theories for ill-posed inversion were developed. In this paper, we emphasize on imposing a priori information in different spaces. We first propose a gen-eral a priori imposed regularization model problem, and then address two forms of regularization scheme. The first one is a regularized singular value decomposition method, and then we propose a retrieval method in l1 space. We show that the proposed method is suitable for solving land surface parameter retrieval problem if the sampling data are poor. Numerical experiments are also given to show the efficiency of the proposed methods. | WANG YanFei MA ShiQian YANG Hua WANG JinDi LI XiaoWen | 2009 | Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,4: | 4
Sliding Wear of the Hybrid Kevlar/PTFE Fabric Reinforced Phenolic Composite Filled with Nano-titania显示文摘The Kevlar/polytetrafluroethylene(Kevlar/PTFE) fabric composite can be used as a self-lubricating liner of the self-lubricating bearing. Many types of nano-particles can improve the tribological performance of the polymer-based composite.Unfortunately,up to now, published work on the effect of nano-particles on the tribological performance of the fabric composite which can be used as a self-lubricating liner is quite scarce. Therefore, for the purpose of exploring a way to significantly improve the tribological performance of the fabric composite, the tribological performance of the Kevlar/PTFE fabric composite filled with nano-titania is evaluated by using the block-on-ring wear tester. The scanning electron microscopy is utilized to observe the morphologies of worn surfaces of the fabric composites and the counterparts. The tensile properties of the composites are evaluated on the universal material testing machine. The test results show that the addition of nano-titania at a proper mass fraction of the matrix resin improves the wear resistance and the tensile strength, decreases the friction coefficient, and makes the wear volume of the composite reach a relative steady state more quickly;plastic deformation and microcutting are important for the wear of the fabric composite;a lubricating layer is formed on the worn surface of the composite during sliding, and the lubricating layer is critical for the tribological performance of the composite;the formation and properties of the lubricating layer are influenced by the nano-titania particles. The proposed study on the effect of nano-titania on the tribological performance of the Kevlar/PTFE fabric composite, especially on the evolution of the worn surface of the composite, provides the basis for further understanding of the influence mechanism of the nano-particles on the tribological performance of the composite and explores a method of improving the tribological performance of the composite. | YANG Yulin HUANG Shijun ZU Dalei ZHANG Ruijun QI Xiaowen | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,1: | 4

Temperature-induced Lifshitz transition in topological insulator candidate HfTe_5显示文摘The ongoing discoveries and studies of novel topological quantum materials have become an emergent and important field of condensed matter physics.Recently,HfTe_5 ignited renewed interest as a candidate of a novel topological material. The single-layer HfTe_5 is predicted to be a two-dimensional large band gap topological insulator and can be stacked into a bulk that may host a temperature-driven topological phase transition.Historically,HfTe_5 attracted considerable interest for its anomalous transport properties characterized by a peculiar resistivity peak accompanied by a sign reversal carrier type. The origin of the transport anomaly remains under a hot debate. Here we report the first high-resolution laser-based angle-resolved photoemission measurements on the temperature-dependent electronic structure in HfTe_5.Our results indicated that a temperature-induced Lifshitz transition occurs in HfTe_5,which provides a natural understanding on the origin of the transport anomaly in HfTe_5.In addition, our observations suggest that HfTe_5 is a weak topological insulator that is located at the phase boundary between weak and strong topological insulators at very low temperature. | Yan Zhang Chenlu Wang Guodong Liu Aiji Liang Lingxiao Zhao Jianwei Huang Qiang Gao Bing Shen Jing Liu Cheng Hu Wenjuan Zhao Genfu Chen Xiaowen Jia Li Yu Lin Zhao Shaolong He Fengfeng Zhang Shenjin Zhang Feng Yang Zhimin Wang Qinjun Peng Zuyan Xu Chuangtian Chen Xingjiang Zhou | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,13: | 4
