2DNA-mediated coordinative assembly of upconversion hetero-nanostructures for targeted dual-modality imaging of cancer cells显示文摘superstructures has enormous potential in material sciences and engineering. Despite the potential,controlled assembly of different kinds of NPs into spatially addressable hybrid configurations still remains a formidable challenge. Herein, we report a simple and universal strategy for DNA-mediated assembly of CdTe quantum dots(QDs) and lanthanide-doped upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs). Such DNA-QD/UCNPs heterostructures not only maintains both fluorescent properties of QDs and upconversion luminescence behaviors of UCNPs, but also offers a polyvalent DNA surface, allowing for targeted dual-modality imaging of cancer cells using an aptamer. 3In situ Analysis of Major Elements, Trace Elements and Sr Isotopic Compositions of Apatite from the Granite in the Chengchao Skarn-Type Fe Deposit, Edong Ore District: Implications for Petrogenesis and Mineralization显示文摘Major elements, trace elements and Sr isotopic compositions of apatite from the granite in the Chengchao skarn-type Fe deposit of Edong ore district of Middle–Lower Yangtze River metallogenic belt were measured using EMPA(electron microprobe), LA-ICP-MS(laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer) and LA-MC(multicollector)-ICP-MS methods in order to reveal the petrogenetic and metallogenic significance of the skarn-type iron deposits. The results show that the apatite in Chengchao granite is fluorapatite, which displays slight variation in major elements. The REE distribution pattern of the apatite is similar to that of the whole rocks, with strong negative Eu anomaly and low Sr/Y ratio. The concentration of Mn in apatite is low(140 ppm–591 ppm) and the Sr isotopic composition shows a limited variation from 0.706 9 to 0.708 2. The high oxygen fugacity of the Chengchao granite, implied by the low Mn content in apatite, is possibly attributed to contamination of the gypsum from sedimentary rock strata, which has long been thought to be an important factor that controls the Fe mineralization in the Middle–Lower Yangtze River metallogenic belt. This study also proves that the Eu/Eu* value and Sr/Y ratio in apatite can be effectively used to identify the adakitic affinity. The in situ Sr isotope analysis of apatite is in consistent with the bulk rock analysis, which indicates that the apatite Sr isotope can represent the initial Sr isotopic compositions of the magma. 4The role of apparent diffusion coefficient values in characterization of solid focal liver lesions:a prospective and comparative clinical study显示文摘We evaluated and compared the diagnostic accuracy(DA) of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) values with that of lesion-to-liver ADC ratios in the characterization of solid focal liver lesions(FLLs).This prospective study was approved by the Institutional Human Ethics Board,after waiving written informed consent.Diffusion-weighted imaging and other routine magnetic resonance imaging were performed on 142 consecutive patients with suspected liver disease.The mean ADC values and lesion-to-liver ADC ratios were compared between benign and malignant solid FLLs.Receiver operating characteristic analysis was performed.The study participants included 46 patients(28 men,18 women;mean age,52.5 years) with 57 solid FLLs(32 malignant and 25 benign FLLs).The mean ADC values and ADC ratios of benign solid FLLs were significantly higher than those of malignant lesions(P<0.01).The difference between the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the ADC values(0.699) and ADC ratios(0.752) was not significant.Our study suggests that the DA of the ADC ratio is not significantly higher than that of ADC in characterizing solid FLLs.Dawei Yang Jie Zhang Dan Han Erhu Jin Zhenghan Yang 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,1:3
5Diagnostic Accuracy of the Apparent Diffusion Coefficient for Microvascular Invasion in Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Meta-analysis显示文摘Background and Aims:Microvascular invasion(MVI)is a major risk factor for the early recurrence of hepatocel-lular carcinoma(HCC)and it seriously worsens the prog-nosis.Accurate preoperative evaluation of the presence of MVI could greatly benefit the treatment management and prognosis prediction of HCC patients.The study aim was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of the apparent dif-fusion coefficient(ADC),a quantitative parameter for the preoperative diagnosis MVI in HCC patients.Methods:Original articles about diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)and/or intravoxel incoherent motion(IVIM)conducted on a 3.0 or 1.5 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)system indexed through January 17,2021were collected from MED-LINE/PubMed,Web of Science,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library.Methodological quality was evaluated using Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies 2(QUADAS-2).The pooled sensitivity,specificity,and summary area un-der the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC)were calculated,and meta-regression analysis was per-formed using a bivariate random effects model through a meta-analysis.Results:Nine original articles with a total of 988 HCCs were included.Most studies had low bias risk and minimal applicability concerns.The pooled sensitivity,specificity and AUROC of the ADC value were 73%,70%,and 0.78,respectively.The time interval between the index test and the reference standard was identified as a pos-sible source of heterogeneity by subgroup meta-regression analysis.Conclusions:Meta-analysis showed that the ADC value had moderate accuracy for predicting MVI in HCC.The time interval accounted for the heterogeneity.Yuhui Deng Jisheng Li Hui Xu Ahong Ren Zhenchang Wang Dawei Yang Zhenghan Yang 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,4:2

18Central sensibility of human cases with different body mass during oral glucose tolerance test using functional magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘BACKGROUND: Because of the limitation of technique, there are few researches on regulating function o central hypothalamus by metabolism, especially the researches on real-time function. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the response of hypothalamus to oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) in differen body-weighted subjects by using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) so as to investigate th relationship between the sensitivity of hypothalamus in glycoregulation and disturbance of carbohydrat metabolism. DESIGN: Paired design. SETTING: Department of Radiology and Beijing Geriatrics Institute, Beijing Hospital, National Publi Health Bureau. PARTICIPANTS: A total of twenty healthy volunteers were selected from Beijing Geriatrics Institute National Public Health Bureau, including 10 subjects with obesity (5 males and 5 females; body mass > 28.0 kg/m2) and 10 subjects with normal body mass (5 males and 5 females; body mass from 18.5 to 23.9 kg/m2). All subjects gave written informed consent before participating in the study. METHODS: fMRI study was performed on GE 1.5 T Signa Twinspeed Infinity with Excite. Each voluntee was ingested of glucose during the fMRI scan. T2* images were acquired using a single-shot gradient echo (EPI) technique. The parameters of EPI included: TR 3 000 ms, TE 40 ms, Flip angle 90°, field of view (FOV) 24 cm × 24 cm, thickness 5 mm, gap 0 mm, matrix 64 × 64, number of excitation 1. All 10 subjects with normal body mass underwent a repeat fMRI scan after consuming an equivalent amount o water without glucose on a separate day. The procedure for the fMRI scan with water intake was the same a for glucose ingestion. fMRI data were processed with Intensity Averaging Method. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The central response of hypothalamus and feedback orientation during OGTT in different body-weighted subjects. RESULTS: An acute transient decrease of fMRI intensity in posterior inferior and anterior inferior o hypothalamus was observed in all subjects within 2 minutes after oral glucose intake. This decrease wa followed by a recovery to the baseline. However, obese subjects had a delayed intensity decrease [(1.96± 1.06) minutes vs. (1.04±0.71) minutes, t =2.14, P < 0.05] and longer recovery time [(26.62±7.35 minutes vs. (16.29±6.42) minutes, t =3.67, P < 0.01] as compared with normal body-weight subjects Furthermore, decreased fMRI intensity was significant different from baseline intensity [(5.7±2.5)% vs (14.3±5.5)%, t =2.56, P < 0.05] in obese subjects, but not in normal body-weight subjects. The area o hypothalamus in normal body-weight volunteers demonstrated no significant signal change before and afte oral water ingestion (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: Hypothalamus response to glucose loading is different in normal body-weighted and obes subjects.
