1Chinese deserts and sand fields in Last Glacial Maximum and Holocene Optimum显示文摘The Last Glacial Maximum (LGM, c. 26-16 ka) and the Holocene Optimum (HO, c. 9-5 ka) were characterized by cold-dry and warm-wet climates respectively in the recently geological Earth. How Chinese deserts and sand fields responded to these distinctive climatic changes is still not clear, however. To reconstruct environments of the deserts and sand fields during the LGM and HO is helpful to understand the forcing mechanisms of environment change in this arid region, and to test paleoclimatic modeling results. Through our long-term field and laboratory investigations, 400 optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) ages and more than 100 depositional records in the Chinese deserts and sand fields were obtained; on the basis of these data, we reconstruct spatial distributions of the deserts and sand fields during the LGM and HO. Our results show that the sand fields of Mu Us, Hunshandake, Horqin and Hulun Buir in northern and northeastern China had expanded 25%, 37%, 38% and 270%, respectively, during the LGM; the sand fields of Gonghe in the northeastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau had expanded 20%, and the deserts of Badain Jaran, Tengger in central northern China had expanded 39% and 29% separately during the LGM; the deserts of Taklimakan, Gurbantünggüt and Kumtag in northwestern China had expanded 10%-20% respectively, compared to their modern areas. On the other hand, all of the sand fields were nearly completely covered by vegetation during the HO; the deserts in northwestern and central northern China were reduced by around 5%-20% in area during this time. Lakes in this arid region were probably expanded during the HO but this conclusion needs more investigation. Compared with the geological distributions of deserts and sand fields, human activity has clearly changed (expanded) the area of active sand dunes at the present time. 2晚期非小细胞肺癌免疫检查点抑制剂新型生物标志物:血液PD-L1动态检测显示文摘背景免疫检查点抑制剂(immune checkpoint inhibitors,ICIs)具有良好疗效已成为恶性肿瘤治疗领域备受瞩目的翘楚。然而,仅有小部分患者获得长期临床获益。如何选择生物标志物来筛查ICIs治疗优势人群仍是一大热点。方法收集51例晚期恶性肿瘤患者的肿瘤组织和配对血样本,进行PD-L1表达的相关性分析。40例晚期非小细胞肺癌(non-small cell lung cancer,NSCLC)患者接受ICIs治疗,2个月时检测血液PD-L1(bloodPD-L1,bPD-L1)表达的动态变化,包括PD-L1 mRNA、外泌体PD-L1(exosomalPD-L1,exoPD-L1)蛋白和可溶性PD-L1(solublePD-L1,sPD-L1)。应用R软件计算最佳截断值,用于预测最佳客观缓解(best objective response,b OR)、无进展生存期(progression-free survival,PFS)和总生存期(overall survival,OS)。结果51例不同恶性肿瘤患者中,组织PD-L1(tissuePD-L1,tPD-L1)表达阳性患者的PD-L1mRNA表达水平显著升高。40例接受ICIs治疗的晚期NSCLC患者中,bPD-L1 mRNA上调≥2.04的患者b OR、PFS和OS更佳;21例接受ICIs治疗的晚期NSCLC患者中,exoPD-L1上调≥1.86的患者临床获益更大。sPD-L1动态变化与ICIs疗效无显著相关性。PD-L1 mRNA和exoPD-L1联合检测更有利于预测ICIs治疗疗效。结论bPD-L1表达与tPD-L1表达存在正相关;晚期NSCLC患者ICIs治疗初期PD-L1 mRNA和(或)exoPD-L1表达升高,可作为评估临床获益的新型生物标志物。Qiao YANG Mingjing CHEN Jiaoyang GU Kai NIU Xianlan ZHAO Linpeng ZHENG Zihan XU Yongxin YU Feng LI Lingxin MENG Zhengtang CHEN Wenlei ZHUO Luping ZHANG Jianguo SUN 杨峤(译) 孙建国(译) 2021中国肺癌杂志2021,24,12:10
3Extension of drylands in northern China around 250 kaBP linked with the uplift of the southeast margin of Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Study on two loess sections, one located at Wu-wei near the Tengger Desert in northwestern China, another located near Ganzi at the southeast margin of the Tibetan Plateau in southwest China, reveals a coeval drying step occurred at -250 kaBP. It is expressed by the increase in eolian grain-size at Wuwei, and by a drastic extension of C4 plants and a decrease of loess chemical weathering intensity at Ganzi. Examination of the available eolian data indicates that the event has also been clearly documented in the loess sections near the deserts in northern China, and in the eolian records from the North Pacific. On the contrary, the signal is rather weak for the central and southern Loess Plateau regions as well as for Central Asia, where the climates are influenced by the southeast Asian monsoon and the westerlies, respectively. 7Prediction of HLA-A 2.1-restricted CTL epitopes from IGFBP7 antigen of lung carcinoma显示文摘Objective:With the development of peptide-based cancer specific immunotherapy,the prediction of CTL epitopes from insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7(IGFBP7) is very important for some research about tumor metastasis.Because HLA-A2.1-expressing individuals cover >50% in the population of China,we aimed at identifying IGFBP7-encoded peptide presented by HLA-A2.1.Methods:In our study,a HLA-A2.1 restricted CTL epitope was identified by using the following two-step procedure:(a) computer-based epitope prediction from the amino acid sequence of IGFBP7 antigen;(b) Validation with epitope molecular modeling.Results:We obtained four epitopes with high immunogenicity scores by all of the three algorithms,i.e.,BIMAS,SYFPEITHI and IMTECH.Each of the four candidates satisfied the criteria of the HLA-A2.1-restricted CTL epitopes in molecular modeling analysis.Conclusion:The combination of BIMAS,SYFPEITHI and IMTECH method can improve the prediction efficiency and accuracy.Due to this research herein,this four epitopes have potential value for further studied,also have potential application in peptide-mediated immunotherapy.These epitopes may be useful in the design of therapeutic peptide vaccine for lung carcinoma and as immunotherapeutic strategies against lung carcinoma after identified by immunology experiment.Zhao Weipeng Long Haixia Zhu Bo Duan Yuzhong Chen Zhengtang 2009Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2009,24,2:1

12Model-based orbital-scale precipitationδ18O variations and distinct mechanisms in Asian monsoon and arid regions显示文摘The past Asian precipitationδ^(18)O(δ^(18)O_(p))records from stalagmites and other deposits have shown significant orbital-scale variations,but their climatic implications and regional differences are still not fully understood.This study,as the first attempt of a 300-kyr transient stable isotope-enabled simulation,investigated the characteristics and mechanisms of the orbital-scaleδ^(18)O_(p)variations in three representative regions of Asia:arid Central Asia(CA),monsoonal South Asia(SA)and monsoonal East Asia(EA).The modelling results showed that the variations in the CA,SA and EA annualδ^(18)O_(p)exhibited significant but asynchronous 23-kyr precession cycles.Further analyses revealed that although the precession-induced insolation variation was the ultimate cause of theδ^(18)O_(p)variation in all three regions,the dominant mechanisms and the involved physical processes were distinct among them.For the CA region,the rainy-season(November–March)temperature effect and water vapour transport by the westerly circulation were identified as the key precession-scale processes linking the October–February boreal mid-latitude insolation to the rainy-season or annualδ^(18)O_(p).In the SA region,the rainy-season(June–September)precipitation amount effect and upstream depletion of the monsoonal water vapourδ^(18)O served as the main mechanisms linking the rainy-season or annualδ^(18)O_(p)to the April–July insolation variation at the precession scale.For the EA region,however,the precession-scale annualδ^(18)O_(p)was mainly controlled by the late-monsoon(August–September)and pre-monsoon(April–May)water vapour transport patterns,which were driven by the July–August insolation and the global ice volume,respectively.These results suggest that the climatic implications of the orbital-scale Asiaδ^(18)O_(p)variations are sensitive to their geographic locations as determined by the combined effects of insolation and regional circulation patterns associated with the respective rainy seasons.This study provides new insights into understanding the regional differences and formation mechanisms of the Asian orbital-scaleδ^(18)O_(p)variations.Xiaodong Liu Xiaoxun Xie Zhengtang Guo Zhi-Yong Yin Guangshan Chen 2022National Science Review2022,9,11:0
