2Tea-Grown Soils and Tea Quality in Sichuan and Chongqing, China显示文摘Made teas and typical tea-grown soils in Sichuan and Chongqing were collected to investigate soil nutrients, related soil properties and tea quality. The tea-grown soils in Sichuan and Chongqing are distributed mainly in mountainous areas. The high annual precipitation (over 1100 mm), precipitous soil slopes, low cohesion among soil particles and high soil porosity suggested that intensive erosion and leaching might occur in these soils. Moreover, they were very acidic and poor in mineral nutrients such as N, P, K, Ca and Mg except S. The average content of total S was 20.40 g kg-1, much higher than that of organic matter in these soils, revealing that S in the tea-grown soils existed mainly in inorganic forms and very little in organic forms. Water-extractable S accounted for only a small amount of total S, which showed that most parts of sulfur in these soils were insoluble in W8ter. K and S varied greatly in made teas. The concentrations of N and P, however, varied little in these teas even though they differentiated significantly in the tea-grown soils. The high concentration of nitrogen in made teas could result in the high free amino acids and low polyphenol of teas. Significantly positive correlation was established between potassium and polyphenol in made teas. 3Meditation promotes insightful problem-solving by keeping people in amindful and alert conscious state显示文摘Although previous studies have shown that sleep can inspire insight,it is still unclear whether meditation can promote insight.Meditation differs from other types of passive rest such as relaxation and sleep because it requires full consciousness andmindfulness of targets such as one's breathing.Forty-eight university students without meditation experience were recruited to learn a simple meditation technique.They were given a list of 10 insight problems to solve (the pre-test session).In this study,we focused on the unsolved problems and examined if they could be successfully solved after a 20min rest interval with or without meditation.Results showed that relative to the control group that listened to Chinese or English words and made a language judgment,the groups who learned meditation successfully solved significantly more failed problems from the pre-test session,providing direct evidence for the role of meditation in promoting insight.Further analysis showed that maintaining amindful and alert state during meditation (raising a hand to report every 10 deep breaths compared to every 100 deep breaths) resulted in more insight regarding the failed items from the pre-test session.This implies that it was watchfulness in meditation,rather than relaxation,that actually contributed to insight.Consistently,in the meditation session or control task,the percentage of alpha waves—a brain index of mental relaxation—was negatively correlated with insight.These results suggest a meditation-based insight-promoting mechanism different from that involved in passive rest such as relaxation and sleep.REN Jun HUANG ZhiHui LUO Jing WEI GaoXia YING XiaoPing DING ZhiGuang WU YiBin LUO Fei 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,10:11
4Bio-Mobilization of Potassium from Clay Minerals: I. By Ectomycorrhizas显示文摘A pot experiment was carried out to investigate effect of ectomycorrhizal fungi on eucalyptus growth and K bio-mobilization from soils and clay minerals. In the experiment, sands mixed with soil, KCI-saturated vermiculate and mica, respectively, were used to nurse eucalyptus seedlings which were nonectomycorrhized or ectomycorrhized by an ectomycorrhizal fungus Pisolithus tinctorius strain XCI (Pt XC1) isolated from a forest soil from Xichang, Sichuan Province, China, and a worldwide well-known ectomycorrhizal fungus Pisolithus tinctorius strain 2144 (Pt 2144) obtained in Australia. More depletion of HCl-soluble K by mycorrhizas from the soil and minerals than nonmycorrhizas suggested that mycorrhizas had a great ability to mobilize K present in the interlayer and feldspar. Mycorrhizal seedlings depressed greatly K digested with HF-HCIO4 from substrates after consecutive extractions of soils and minerals by water, ammonium cetate and boiling HCl, while nonmycorrhizal seedlings reduced it little if any, showing that the mycorrhizal seedlings could mobilize and then utilize the structural K in mineral lattice. Ectomycorrhizal fungi played a very important role not only in promoting the growth of eucalyptus seedlings but also in mobilizing K in soils and minerals. The infection of Pt XC1 led to a better growth of eucalyptus seedlings and more K accumulation in the seedlings than that of Pt 2144. 7Velocity Modeling and Inversion Techniques for Locating Microseismic Events in Unconventional Reservoirs显示文摘A velocity model is an important factor influencing microseismic event locations.We review the velocity modeling and inversion techniques for locating microseismic events in exploration for unconventional oil and gas reservoirs.We first describe the geological and geophysical characteristics of reservoir formations related to hydraulic fracturing in heterogeneity,anisotropy,and variability,then discuss the influences of velocity estimation,anisotropy model,and their time-lapse changes on the accuracy in determining microseismic event locations,and then survey some typical methods for building velocity models in locating event locations.We conclude that the three tangled physical attributes of reservoirs make microseismic monitoring very challenging.The uncertainties in velocity model and ignoring its anisotropies and its variations in hydraulic fracturing can cause systematic mislocations of microseismic events which are unacceptable in microseismic monitoring.So,we propose some potential ways for building accurate velocity models.Jianzhong Zhang Han Liu Zhihui Zou Zhonglai Huang 2015Journal of Earth Science2015,26,4:7
8Niobium pentoxide:a promising surface-enhanced Raman scattering active semiconductor substrate显示文摘Surface-enhanced Raman scattering technique,as a powerful tool to identify the molecular species,has been severely restricted to the noble metals.The surface-enhanced Raman scattering substrates based on semiconductors would overcome the shortcomings of metal substrates and promote development of surface-enhanced Raman scattering technique in surface science,spectroscopy,and biomedicine studies.However,the detection sensitivity and enhancement effects of semiconductor substrates are suffering from their weak activities.In this work,a semiconductor based on Nb_(2)O_(5) is reported as a new candidate for highly sensitive surfaceenhanced Raman scattering detection of dye molecules.The largest enhancement factor value greater than 107 was observed with the laser excitation at 633 and 780 nm for methylene blue detection.As far as literature review shows,this is in the rank of the highest sensitivity among semiconductor materials;even comparable to the metal nanostructure substrates with“hot spots”.The impressive surface-enhanced Raman scattering activities can be attributed to the chemical enhancement dominated by the photoinduced charge transfer,as well as the electromagnetic enhancement,which have been supported by the density-functional-theory and finite element method calculation results.The chemisorption of dye on Nb_(2)O_(5) creates a new highest occupied molecular orbital and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital contributed by both fragments in the molecule-Nb_(2)O_(5) system,which makes the charge transfer more feasible with longer excitation wavelength.In addition,the electromagnetic enhancement mechanism also accounts for two orders of magnitude enhancement in the overall enhancement factor value.This work has revealed Nb_(2)O_(5) nanoparticles as a new semiconductor surface-enhanced Raman scattering substrate that is able to replace noble metals and shows great potentials applied in the fields of biology related.Yufeng Shan Zhihui Zheng Jianjun Liu Yong Yang Zhiyuan Li Zhengren Huang Dongliang Jiang 2017npj Computational Materials2017,,1:7
9Patient-derived non-small cell lung cancer xenograft mirrors complex tumor heterogeneity显示文摘Objective:Patient-derived xenograft(PDX)models have shown great promise in preclinical and translational applications,but their consistency with primary tumors in phenotypic,genetic,and pharmacodynamic heterogeneity has not been well-studied.This study aimed to establish a PDX repository for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and to further elucidate whether it could preserve the heterogeneity within and between tumors in patients.Methods:A total of 75 surgically resected NSCLC specimens were implanted into immunodeficient NOD/SCID mice.Based on the successful establishment of the NSCLC PDX model,we compared the expressions of vimentin,Ki67,EGFR,and PD-L1 proteins between cancer tissues and PDX models using hematoxylin and eosin staining and immunohistochemical staining.In addition,we detected whole gene expression profiling between primary tumors and PDX generations.We also performed whole exome sequencing(WES)analysis in 17 first generation xenografts to further assess whether PDXs retained the patient heterogeneities.Finally,paclitaxel,cisplatin,doxorubicin,atezolizumab,afatininb,and AZD4547 were used to evaluate the responses of PDX models to the standard-of-care agents.Results:A large collection of serially transplantable PDX models for NSCLC were successfully developed.The histology and pathological immunohistochemistry of PDX xenografts were consistent with the patients’tumor samples.WES and RNA-seq further confirmed that PDX accurately replicated the molecular heterogeneities of primary tumors.Similar to clinical patients,PDX models responded differentially to the standard-of-care treatment,including chemo-,targeted-and immuno-therapeutics.Conclusions:Our established PDX models of NSCLC faithfully reproduced the molecular,histopathological,and therapeutic characteristics,as well as the corresponding tumor heterogeneities,which provides a clinically relevant platform for drug screening,biomarker discovery,and translational research.Xuanming Chen Cheng Shen Zhe Wei Rui Zhang Yongsheng Wang Lili Jiang Ke Chen Shuang Qiu Yuanli Zhang Ting Zhang Bin Chen Yanjun Xu Qiyi Feng Jinxing Huang Zhihui Zhong Hongxia Li Guowei Che Kai Xiao 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:5
10Bio-Mobilization of Potassium from Clay Minerals: Ⅱ. By Ectomycorrhizal Fungi显示文摘Ectomycorrhizal fungi, including Cenococcum geophilum SIV (Cg SIV), and Pisolithus tinctorius 2144 (Pt 2144), 441 (Pt 441) and XC1 (Pt XC1), were cultured in Pachlewski liquid medium with H2KPO4,KCl- saturated vermiculite and mica as K sources, respectively, to investigate the mechanism of K absorption and mobilization by the fungi. Fungal growth rate, K absorption and mobilization varied significantly among the fungal species. Faster growth and greater K accumulation in Pt XC1 than Pt 2 144, Pt 441 and Cg siv were observed. Ectomycorrhizal fungi depressed HCl-soluble K in minerals after successive extractions by water and NH4OAc. Ratio of the total amount of K, including water-, NH4OAc- and HCI-soluble K, lost from substrates to the K accumulated in fungal colonies was less than 60%. These reveal that the ectomycorrhizal fungi could utilize K in interlayer and structural pools, which are usually unavailable for plants in short period. Large differences in the depletion of K in interlayer and structural pools by fungi were observed at fungal harvest. Taking into account the nutrient absorption by ectomycorrhizal fungi in symbionts and the direct contact between hyphae and soils, the fungi species colonized on the root surfaces seemed to be related to the effectiveness of mycorrhizas to utilize K in soils. Ectomycorrhizal fungi differed in the efflux of protons and oxalate. Pt XC1 was observed to have greatest ability to effuse protons and oxalate among the fungi adopted in the experiment. Furthermore, the higher the concentrations of protons and oxalate in the liquid culture solutions, the larger the depletion of K in interlayer and structural pools in minerals by fungi. Protons could replace interlayer K and chelation of oxalate with Fe and Al in crystal lattice could cause weathering of clay minerals. 11A GA approach to vehicle routing problem with time windows considering loading constraints显示文摘As a new variant of vehicle routing problem( VRP),a finished vehicle routing problem with time windows in finished vehicle logistics( FVRPTW) is modeled and solved. An optimization model for FVRPTW is presented with the objective of scheduling multiple transport routes considering loading constraints along with time penalty function to minimize the total cost. Then a genetic algorithm( GA) is developed. The specific encoding and genetic operators for FVRPTW are devised.Especially,in order to accelerate its convergence,an improved termination condition is given. Finally,a case study is used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and a series of experiments are conducted over a set of finished vehicle routing problems. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach has superior performance and satisfies users in practice. 13Pre-aging on early-age behavior and bake hardening response of an Al-0.90Mg-0.80Si-0.64Zn-0.23Cu alloy显示文摘Pre-aging on early-age behavior and bake hardening response of an Al-0.90Mg-0.80Si-0.64 Zn alloy was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM), 3-dimensional atom probe(3DAP), Erichsen test and tensile test. The results indicated that pre-aged alloy exhibited excellent formability and bake-hardening response, while bake hardening response was poor in samples with natural aging. Clustering behavior during natural aging was inhibited by pre-aging. Numerous GP zones formed in pre-aged samples. GP zones were the nuclei of β′′ precipitates or directly transformed β′′ phases during paint baking process. A large number of β′′ phases were observed in pre-aged samples after paint bake treatment. 14Impact and Solutions of Seawater Heterogeneity on Wide-Angle Tomographic Inversion of Crustal Velocities in Deep Marine Environments—Numerical Studies显示文摘The seawater column is typically taken as a homogeneous velocity layer in wide-angle crustal seismic surveys in marine environments. However, heterogeneities in salinity and temperature throughout the seawater layer result insignificant lateral variations in its seismic velocity, especially in deep marine environments. Failure to compensate for these velocity inhomogeneities will introduce significant artifacts in constructing crustal velocity models using seismic tomography. In this study, we conduct numerical experiments to investigate the impact of heterogeneous seismic velocities in seawater on tomographic inversion for crustal velocity models. Experiments that include lateral variation in seawater velocity demonstrated that the modeled crustal velocities were contaminated by artifacts from tomographic inversions when assuming a homogeneous water layer. To suppress such artifacts, we propose two strategies:(1) simultaneous inversion of water velocities and the crustal velocities;(2) layer-stripping inversion during which to first invert for seawater velocity and then correct the travel times before inverting for crustal velocities. The layer-stripping inversion significantly improves the modeling of variation in seawater velocity when preformed with seismic sensors deployed on the ocean bottom and in the water column. 15Highly efficient fluoride removal from water using 2D metal-organic frameworks MIL-53(Al)with rich Al and O adsorptive centers显示文摘In this study,metal-organic framework MIL-53(Al)was synthesized and studied to understand the different mechanisms between normal MIL-53(Al)and 2D metal-organic framework MIL-53(Al)for removing fluoride.Comparatively,the 2D MIL-53(Al)had two-dimensional linear morphology rather than block shape,indicating more expose adsorptive sites than normal MIL-53(Al).The batch adsorption experiments were applied to investigate the performance of 2D MIL-53(Al),including pH,adsorption kinetics,and thermodynamics.The 2D MIL-53(Al)(75.50 mg/g)showed better adsorption capacity than normal MIL-53(Al)(35.63 mg/g).The adsorption process of 2D MIL-53(Al)followed the pseudo-firstorder model and Langmuir model.The adsorption mechanism of this material was further studied by using experimental characterization and density functional theory calculations in detail.The main adsorptive sites were Al and O in the 2D MIL-53(Al),and the relationship between fluoride binding with Al and O was HF^(-)_(2)>HF>F^(-).The species of fluoride were HF2,HF,F at different pH and concentrations.Hence,this study provides a significant way on the application of two-dimensional materials for removing fluoride.Lei Huang Zhihui Yang Sikpaam Issaka Alhassan Zhixuan Luo Baocheng Song Linfeng Jin Yixian Zhao Haiying Wang 2021Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2021,,4:3
16Estimation of genetic parameters for upper thermal tolerance and growth-related traits in turbot Scophthalmus maximus using the Bayesian method based on Gibbs sampling显示文摘In order to carry out the genetic improvement of turbot upper thermal tolerance, it is necessary to estimate the genetic parameters of UTT(upper thermal tolerance) and growth-related traits. The objective of this study was to estimate genetic parameters for BW(body weight) and UTT in a two-generational turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L.) pedigree derived from four imported turbot stocks(England, France, Denmark and Norway). A total of 42 families including 20 families from G1 generation and 22 families from G2 generation were used to test upper thermal tolerance(40–50 animals per family) in this study and the body weight of individuals were measured. The heritability of BW and UTT and the correlation between these two traits were estimated based on an individual animal model using Bayesian method based on two types of animal models with and without maternal effects.These results showed that the heritabilities for BW and UTT and phenotypic and genetic correlations between the two traits estimated from model without maternal effects were 0.239±0.141, 0.111±0.080, 0.075±0.026 and–0.019±0.011, respectively. The corresponding values from model with maternal effects were 0.203±0.115,0.055±0.026, 0.047±0.034 and –0.024±0.028, respectively. The maternal effects of BW and UTT were 0.050±0.017 and 0.013±0.004, respectively. The maternal effects had a certain influence on the genetic evaluation of the two traits. 17Structural architecture of Neoproterozoic rifting depression groups in the Tarim Basin and their formation dynamics显示文摘The Tarim Basin is the largest, oil-bearing, superimposed basin in the northwest of China. The evolution and tectonic properties of the initial Tarim Basin have been hotly disputed and remain enigmatic. The Neoproterozoic basin is covered by a vast desert and a huge-thickness of sedimentary strata, has experienced multiple tectonic movements, had a low signal to noise ratios(SNRs) of deep seismic reflection data, all of which have posed critical obstacles to research. We analysed four field outcrops, 18 wells distributed throughout the basin, 27 reprocessed seismic reflection profiles with higher SNRs across the basin and many ancillary local 2D and 3D profiles and aeromagnetic data. We found about 20 normal fault-controlled rifting depressions of the Cryogenian and Ediacaran scattered throughout the basin, which developed on the Precambrian metamorphic and crystalline basement. The structural framework is clearly different from that of the overlying Phanerozoic. The rifting depressions consist of mainly half grabens, symmetrical troughs and horst-grabens. From the northeast to southwest of the basin,they are divided into three rifting depression groups with the WNW, ENE, and NW-trends that are mainly controlled by normal faults. The maximum thicknesses of the strata are up to 4100 m. From the Cryogenian to Ediacaran, most of the main inherited faults to active and eventually ceased at the end of the Ediacaran or Early Cambrian, while subsidence centres appeared and migrated eastward along the faults. They revealed that the different parts of the Tarim continental block were in NNE-SSWoriented and NNW-SSE-oriented extensional paleo-stress fields(relative to the present) during the Neoproterozoic, and were accompanied by clockwise shearing. According to the analysis of the activities of syn-sedimentary faults, filling sediments,magmatic events, and coordination with aeromagnetic anomalies, the tectonic properties of the fault depressions are different and are primarily continental rifts or intra-continental fault-controlled basins. 18Effect of heat treatment on microstructures and properties of a novel Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy for oil drilling显示文摘In view of the special requirements for strength, heat resistance and corrosion resistance of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy for oil drilling, the Al-6.2 Zn-2.5 Mg-1.6 Cu alloy was prepared by increasing Cu content on basis of Russian Series 1953 alloy. The effect of heat treatment on the microstructures and properties of the alloy was characterized by optical microscope(OM), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electron microscope(TEM), and investigated by tensile test at room temperature, thermal exposure test and corrosion test. The results show that the strength after T6 aging treatment exhibit a decrease trend as an increase of the solution temperature from465 ℃ to 480 ℃. After the solution treated by the rate of 470 ℃/1 h, second phases dissolve into the matrix very well and the strength property reaches optimum. The alloy has better comprehensive properties treated by a solution treatment of 470 ℃/1 h and then followed by an aging treatment of 120 ℃/24 h + 170 ℃/1 h + 120 ℃/24 h. Under the aging state, the precipitated phases inside the grains are suitable in size, while on the grain boundary distribute discontinuously and the precipitate-free zone is obvious. Besides, the alloy still maintain high tensile properties. The yield strength, tensile strength and elongation are 650 MPa, 686 MPa,12.0%, respectively. The yield strength retention after heat exposure is 92%. The alloy has good corrosion resistance and the exfoliation corrosion degree. The average corrosion rate in the H2S and CO2 environment is 0.0024 mm/a, which is far less than the required 0.12 mm/a.
