1Necessity and feasibility of improving the residual resistance factor of polymer flooding in heavy oil reservoirs显示文摘The efficiency of water flooding in heavy oil reservoirs would be improved by increasing the viscosity of the displacing phase, but the sweep efficiency is not of significance due to the low mobility of the vicious oil. On the basis of mobility control theory, increasing the residual resistance factor not only reduces the water-oil mobility ratio but also decreases the requirement for viscosity enhancement of the polymer solution. The residual resistance factor caused by hydrophobic associating polymer solution is higher than that caused by polyacrylamide solution in brine containing high concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions. The results of numerical simulations show that the polymer flooding efficiency improved by increasing the residual resistance factor is far better than that by only increasing solution viscosity. The recovery factor of heavy oil reservoirs (70 mPa·s) can be enhanced by hydrophobic associating polymer solution of high residual resistance factor (more than 3) and high effective viscosity (24 mPa·s). 5Effect of antisense oligonucleotides targeting telomerase catalytic subunit on tumor cell proliferation in vitro显示文摘To screen specific antitumor drugs targeting telomerase catalytic subunit (hEST2), 12 different hEST2 antisense oligonucleotides were designed based on hEST2 mRNA second structure and transfected into tumor cell lines by the lipofectin-mediated method. Cell growth activity was evaluated by MTT assay. HEST212 was picked out and its specificity, antitumor tree and continuous effect were analyzed. 6Watering techniques and zero-valent iron biochar pH effects on As and Cd concentrations in rice rhizosphere soils,tissues and yield显示文摘Zero-valent iron amended biochar(ZVIB)has been proposed as a promising material in immobilizing heavy metals in paddy fields.In this study,the impacts of p H of ZVIB(p H 6.3 and p H 9.7)and watering management techniques(watering amount in the order of CON(control,5/72)>3/72>1-3/72>3/100>1/72,with 5/72,for example,representing irrigation given to 5 cm above soil surface in 72 hr regular interval)on As and Cd bioavailability for rice and its grain yield(Yield BR)were investigated in a pot experiment.Brown rice As(As BR)content was irrelative to the watering treatments,while significantly decreased(>50%)with the addition of both ZVIB materials.The diminutions of brown rice Cd(Cd BR)content as well as the Yield BR were highly dependent on both the soil amendment materials’p H and watering amount.Among all the watering treatments,3/72 treatment(15%less irrigation water than the CON)with ZVIB 6.3 amendment was the optimum fit for simultaneous reduction of As BR(50%)and Cd BR contents(19%)as well as for significant increment(12%)of the Yield BR.Although high pH(9.7)ZVIB application could also efficiently decrease As and Cd contents in brown rice,it might risk grain yield lost if appropriate(e.g.3/72 in our study)watering management technique was not chosen.Therefore,ZVIB would be an environmentally friendly option as an amendment material with proper selection of watering management technique to utilize As and Cd co-contaminated arable soils safely for paddy cultivation.Md Shafiqul Islam Yali Chen Liping Weng Jie Ma Zulqarnain Haider Khan Zhongbin Liao Abdoul Salam Issiaka Abdoul Magid Yongtao Li 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,2:9
7Effect of polymer solution structure on displacement efficiency显示文摘In this paper, a series of experiments, including atomic force microscope (AFM), environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM), and core displacement tests were conducted to investigate the effect of polymer solution structure on solution properties and oil displacement efficiency. The results show that in the HPAM solution polymer coils were formed and then aggregated into a loose structure, while the HAP2010 solution formed a strong network structure, which would significantly improve the solution viscosity and flow resistance so as to upgrade the capacity of piston-like oil displacement in highly permeable porous media. Meanwhile, the retention of the HAP2010 solution at pore throats were also enhanced, which could reduce water production during subsequent water flooding and enlarge the swept volume during polymer flooding. 8PdAg bimetallic electrocatalyst for highly selective reduction of CO2 with low COOH^* formation energy and facile CO desorption显示文摘For electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO,the stabilization of intermediate COOH^* and the desorption of CO^* are two key steps.Pd can easily stabilize COOH^*,whereas the strong CO^* binding to Pd surface results in severe poisoning,thus lowering catalytic activity and stability for CO2 reduction.On Ag surface,CO^* desorbs readily,while COOH^* requires a relatively high formation energy,leading to a high overpotential.In light of the above issues,we successfully designed the PdAg bimetallic catalyst to circumvent the drawbacks of sole Pd and Ag.The PdAg catalyst with Ag-terminated surface not only shows a much lower overpotential(-0.55 V with CO current density of 1 mA/cm^2)than Ag(−0.76 V),but also delivers a CO/H2 ratio 18 times as high as that for Pd at the potential of-0.75 V vs.RHE.The issue of CO poisoning is significantly alleviated on Ag-terminated PdAg surface,with the stability well retained after 4h electrolysis at-0.75 V vs.RHE.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the Ag-terminated PdAg surface features a lowered formation energy for COOH^* and weakened adsorption for CO^*,which both contribute to the enhanced performance for CO2 reduction.Rui Lin Xuelu Ma Weng-Chon Cheong Chao Zhang Wei Zhu Jiajing Pei Kaiyue Zhang Bin Wang Shiyou Liang Yuxi Liu Zhongbin Zhuang Rong Yu Hai Xiao Jun Li Dingsheng Wang Qing Peng Chen Chen Yadong Li 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:7
9Atomic Co/Ni dual sites with N/P-coordination as bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst for rechargeable zinc-air batteries显示文摘Metal-nitrogen-carbon(M-N-C)single-atom catalysts exhibit desirable electrochemical catalytic properties.However,the replacement of N atoms by heteroatoms(B,P,S,etc.)has been regarded as a useful method for regulating the coordination environment.The structure engineered M-N-C sites via doping heteroatoms play an important role to the adsorption and activation of the oxygen intermediate.Herein,we develop an efficient strategy to construct dual atomic site catalysts via the formation of a Co_(1)-PN and Ni1-PN planar configuration.The developed Co_(1)-PNC/Ni1-PNC catalyst exhibits excellent bifunctional electrocatalytic performance in alkaline solution.Both experimental and theoretical results demonstrated that the N/P coordinated Co/Ni sites moderately reduced the binding interaction of oxygen intermediates.The Co_(1)-PNC/Ni1-PNC endows a rechargeable Zn-air battery with excellent power density and cycling stability as an air-cathode,which is superior to that of the benchmark Pt/C+IrO_(2).This work paves an avenue for design of dual single-atomic sites and regulation of the atomic configuration on carbon-based materials to achieve high-performance electrocatalysts.Botao Hu Aijian Huang Xuejiang Zhang Zheng Chen Renyong Tu Wei Zhu Zhongbin Zhuang Chen Chen Qing Peng Yadong Li 2021Nano Research2021,14,10:6

14Coprinus comatus-derived nitrogen-containing biocarbon electrocatalyst with the addition of self-generating graphene-like support for superior oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘The development of nitrogen-rich biomassderived carbon catalysts provides an attractive perspective to substitute for Pt-based electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). We here report a facile strategy for synthesis of a nitrogen-doped biocarbon/graphene-like composite electrocatalyst by pyrolyzing a solid-state mixture of coprinus comatus biomass and melamine under nitrogen protection. The graphtic carbon nitride formed by polycondensation of melamine at 600 °C acts as a selfsacrificing template to generate the nitrogen-doped graphene-like sheet, which can function as an inserting agent and self-generating support. The composite catalyst exhibits the most promising catalytic activity towards the fourelectron ORR with a half-wave potential of around 0.83 V(vs. RHE), and more excellent stability and tolerance to methanol/ethanol compared to the commercial Pt/C catalyst. It is interestingly found that both a higher content of nitrogen and a larger ratio of graphitic-nitrogen species,which may derive from self-addition of graphene-like support into the catalyst, can effectively improve the electrocatalytic activity. The planar N group may be the nitrogen functionality that is most responsible for maintaining the ORR activity in alkaline medium. 16Effects of plant coverage on shrub fertile islands in the Upper Minjiang River Valley显示文摘The patchy distribution of vegetation in dry land results in well-documented 'fertile islands'. However, the response of shrub fertile islands to plant recovery and the underlying mechanisms, such as the linkage plant and soil properties, remain unknown.We sampled soils from areas with three different plant coverages(25%, 45%, and 75%) and three of their adjacent inter-plants to investigate soil physicochemical and microbial properties in the upper Minjiang River arid valley. The results showed that these factors were influenced by the persistence of plants that contrasted with the inter-plant interspaces. We found fertile islands in under-plant soil that were enhanced with increasing plant coverage, from 25% to 45% and 75%; however, there were no significant differences between 45% and 75% plant coverage apart from the soil clay content and the fungi to bacteria ratio. The soil microbial communities in under-plant soil were strongly influenced by the total soil carbon(TC), soil organic carbon(SOC),and available nitrogen(AN), whereas the microbial communities in inter-plant soil were primarily constrained by the AN and available phosphorous(AP). 17Equilibrium Joining Strategies in the M/M/1 Queues with Setup Times under N-Policy显示文摘This paper carries out a game-theoretic analysis of a single-server queueing system with setup times under N-policy by considering both the partially observable and the partially unobservable information scenarios. The server switches off whenever the system becomes empty, and is resumed when the number of customers reaches a certain threshold value. Customers decide whether to join or to balk the system upon arrival based on their available information. The equilibrium joining strategy of customers as well as the systemzs performance measures are derived under different information levels. We find that both Follow-the-Crowd (FTC) and Avoid-the-Crowd (ATC) behaviors exist in our system. 18The effects of clay minerals and organic matter on nanoscale pores in Lower Paleozoic shale gas reservoirs, Guizhou, China显示文摘In organic-rich gas shales, clay minerals and organic matter(OM) have significant influences on the origin, preservation, and production of shale gas. Because of the substantial role of nanoscale pores in the generation,storage, and seepage of shale gas, we examined the effects of clay minerals and OM on nanoscale pore distribution characteristics in Lower Paleozoic shale gas reservoirs.Using the Niutitang and Longmaxi shales as examples, we determined the effects of clay minerals and OM on pores through sedimentation experiments. Field emission–scanning electron microscopy combined with low-pressure N2 adsorption of the samples before and after sedimentation showed significant differences in pore location and pore size distribution between the Niutitang and Longmaxi shales. Nanoscale pores mostly existed in OM in the Longmaxi shale and in clay minerals or OM–clay composites in the Niutitang shale. The distribution differences were attributed largely to variability in thermal evolution and tectonic development and might account for the difference in gas-bearing capacity between the Niutitang and Longmaxi reservoirs. In the nanoscale range, mesopores accounted for 61–76% of total nanoscale pore volume.Considerably developed nanoscale pores in OM were distributed in a broad size range in the Longmaxi shale, which led to good pore connectivity and gas production.Numerous narrow pores(i.e., pores \ 20 nm) in OM–clay composites were found in the Niutitang shale, and might account for this shale's poor pore connectivity and low gas production efficiency. Enhancing the connectivity of the mesopores(especially pores \ 20 nm and those developed in OM–clay composites) might be the key to improving development of the Niutitang shale. 19Defective Ni_(3)S_(2)nanowires as highly active electrocatalysts for ethanol oxidative upgrading显示文摘Electrochemical upgrading of biomass ethanol to value-added chemicals is promising for sustainable society.Here,we synthesize defective Ni_(3)S_(2) nanowires(NWs),which show high activity towards electrochemical oxidation of ethanol to acetate.The Ni_(3)S_(2) NWs are formed by the oriented attachment mechanism,and rich defects are introduced during the growth.A low onset potential of 1.31 V and high mass activity of 8,716 mA·mgNi^(-1) at 1.5 V are achieved using the synthesized Ni_(3)S_(2) NWs toward the ethanol electro-oxidation,which are better than the Ni(OH)2 NWs and the Ni_(3)S_(2) nanoparticles(NPs).And the selectivity for the acetate generation is ca.99%.The high activity of Ni_(3)S_(2) NWs is attributed to the easier oxidation of Ni(II)to the catalytically active Ni(III)species with the promotion from S component and rich defects.These results demonstrate that the defective NWs can be synthesized by the oriented attachment method and the defective Ni_(3)S_(2) NWs structure as the efficient nonnoble metal electrocatalysts for oxidative upgrading of ethanol.Yufeng Zhang Wei Zhu Jinjie Fang Zhiyuan Xu Yanrong Xue Di Liu Rui Sui Qingqing Lv Xuerui Liu Yongsheng Wang Wei Chen Zhongbin Zhuang 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:2
