| 1 | Olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation for spinal cord injury An 18-year bibliometric analysis based on the Web of Science显示文摘OBJECTIVE:Olfactory ensheathing cell (OEC) transplantation is a promising new approach for the treatment of spinal cord injury (SCI),and an increasing number of scientific publications are devoted to this treatment strategy.This bibliometric analysis was conducted to assess global research trends in OEC transplantation for SCI.DATA SOURCE:All of the data in this study originate from the Web of Science maintained by the Institute for Scientific Information,USA,and includes SCI-EXPANDED,SSCI,A&HCI,CPCI-S,CPCI-SSH,BKCI-S,BKCI-SSH,CCR-EXPANDED and IC.The Institute for Scientific Information's Web of Science was searched using the keywords 'olfactory ensheathing cells' or 'OECs' or 'olfactory ensheathing glia' or 'OEG' or 'olfactory ensheathing glial cells' or 'OEGs' and 'spinal cord injury' or 'SCI' or 'spinal injury' or 'spinal transection' for literature published from January 1898 to May 2012.DATA SELECTION:Original articles,reviews,proceedings papers and meeting abstracts,book chapters and editorial materials on OEC transplantation for SCI were included.Simultaneously,unpublished literature and literature for which manual information retrieval was required were excluded.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:All selected literatures addressing OEC transplantation for SCI were evaluated in the following aspects:publication year,document type,language,author,institution,times cited,Web of Science category,core source title,countries/territories and funding agency.RESULTS:In the Web of Science published by the Institute for Scientific Information,the earliest literature record was in April,1995.Four hundred and fourteen publications addressing OEC transplantation for SCI were added to the data library in the past 18 years,with an annually increasing trend.Of 415 records,405 publications were in English.Two hundred and fifty-nine articles ranked first in the distribution of document type,followed by 141 reviews.Thirty articles and 20 reviews,cited more than 55 times by the date the publication data were downloaded by us,can be regarded as the most classical references.The journal Experimental Neurology published the most literature (32 records),followed by Glia.The United States had the most literature,followed by China.In addition,Yale University was the most productive institution in the world,while The Second Military Medical University contributed the most in China.The journal Experimental Neurology published the most OEC transplantation literature in the United States,while Neural Regeneration Research published the most in China.CONCLUSION:This analysis provides insight into the current state and trends in OEC transplantation for SCI research.Furthermore,we anticipate that this analysis will help encourage international cooperation and teamwork on OEC transplantation for SCI to facilitate the development of more effective treatments for SCI. | Zikuan Leng Xijing He Haopeng Li Dong Wang Kai Cao | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,14: | 2 |

| 5 | Resistance Analysis of 25 Corn Varieties to Stalk Rot and Evaluation of Yield Loss显示文摘Due to the meteorological factors,Henan Province had a large-scale outbreak of corn stalk rot in 2014,and the incidence status of 25 varieties was investigated. According to the relevant resistance identification standards,Xundan509 was classified as resistance variety; Yudan606,Jinsai38 and Xundan3136 were classified as moderate resistance ones,while the other 21 varieties were highly susceptible varieties. Using the yield loss rate of 5% as the critical value of disease tolerance standard,Xundan509,Yudan606,Jinsai38,Xundan3136,Huaiyu5288,Qiaoyu8,XY046,Zhengyu10,Lile66,Weike702 and Xundan29 were classified into tolerance varieties of corn stalk rot. The concept between disease resistance and disease tolerance was distinguished. The diseased plant rate was used as the classification basis of disease resistance and the yield loss rate was used as the evaluation standard of disease tolerance. | 17 | Fatigue cracking criterion of high-strength steels induced by inclusions under high-cycle fatigue显示文摘Fatigue properties of high-strength steels become more and more sensitive to inclusions with enhancing the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) because the inclusions often cause a relatively low fatigue strength and a large scatter of fatigue lives. In this work, four S–N curves and more than 200 fatigue fracture morphologies were comprehensively investigated with a special focus on the size and type of inclusions at the fatigue cracking origin in GCr15 steel with a wide strength range by different heat treatments after high-cycle fatigue (HCF). It is found that the percentage of fatigue failure induced by the inclusion including Al2 O3 and TiN gradually increases with increasing the UTS, while the percentage of failure at sample surfaces decreases conversely and the fatigue strength first increases and then decreases. Besides, it is interestingly noted that the inclusion sizes at the cracking origin for TiN are smaller than that for Al2 O3 because the stress concentration factor for TiN is larger than that for Al2 O3 based on the finite element simulation. For the first time, a new fatigue cracking criterion including the isometric inclusion size line in the strength-toughness coordinate system with specific physical meaning was established to reveal the relationship among the UTS, fracture toughness, and the critical inclusion size considering different types of inclusions based on the fracture mechanics. And the critical inclusion size of Al2 O3 is about 1.33 times of TiN. The fatigue cracking criterion could be used to judge whether fatigue fracture occurred at inclusions or not and provides a theoretical basis for controlling the scale of different inclusion types for high-strength steels. | 18 | Activity of Corn Silk at Different Days after Silk Emergence显示文摘This study was carried out to evaluate the changes in silk activity of two corn cultivars Xundan 518 and Yongyou 618 after silk emergence. Artificial pollination was conducted at different days after silk emergence, and the ear length, ear diameter,barren tip length, 100-grain weight, grain number per ear and grain weight per ear were measured at harvest. The results showed that with the delay of pollination, the number and weight of grains per ear increased at first, peaked at D2 to D4, and decreased subsequently; ear diameter and 100-grain weight showed a downward trend. Correlation analysis revealed that grain number per ear and grain weight per ear were most closely correlated.
