| 2 | How Chinese Financial Centers Integrate into Global Financial Center Networks:An Empirical Study Based on Overseas Expansion of Chinese Financial Service Firms显示文摘The increasing globalization of the Chinese economy has been enabled by both Chinese financial institutions operating globally as well as international firms operating within China. In geographical terms, this has been organized through a number of strategic cities serving as gateways for the exchange of financial functions, products and practices between China and the global economy. Drawing on location data of financial service firms in China listed on stock exchanges in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong, this paper shows that Chinese financial firms are expanding globally and how Chinese financial centers are positioned and connected in the urban networks shaped by these financial service firms. It is found that Hong Kong, China, holds strategic positions in the integration of Chinese cities into global financial center networks, and that establishing a foothold in global financial centers such as New York and London has been a priority for Chinese financial institutions. | 3 | Fluid-structure Interaction Analysis and Lifetime Estimation of a Natural Gas Pipeline Centrifugal Compressor under Near-choke and Near-surge Conditions显示文摘Up to present, there have been no studies concerning the application of fluid-structure interaction(FSI) analysis to the lifetime estimation of multi-stage centrifugal compressors under dangerous unsteady aerodynamic excitations. In this paper, computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulations of a three-stage natural gas pipeline centrifugal compressor are performed under near-choke and near-surge conditions, and the unsteady aerodynamic pressure acting on impeller blades are obtained. Then computational structural dynamics(CSD) analysis is conducted through a one-way coupling FSI model to predict alternating stresses in impeller blades. Finally, the compressor lifetime is estimated using the nominal stress approach. The FSI results show that the impellers of latter stages suffer larger fluctuation stresses but smaller mean stresses than those at preceding stages under near-choke and near-surge conditions. The most dangerous position in the compressor is found to be located near the leading edge of the last-stage impeller blade. Compressor lifetime estimation shows that the investigated compressor can run up to 102.7 h under the near-choke condition and 200.2 h under the near-surge condition. | 6 | Structural insights into a high fidelity variant of SpCas9显示文摘The RNA-guided endonucleases of the CRISPR-Cas9 system, including the most w泊ely used Cas9 from Streptococcus pyogenes (SpCas9)z are becoming a robust genome editing tool in model organisms and hold immense promise for therapeutic applications. Many strategies have bee n employed to overcome the limitati ons caused by SpCas9zs off-target effects and its strin gent requirement for the protospacer adjacent motif (PAM) sequenee. However, the structural mechanisms underlying these strategies remain undefined. Here, we present crystal structure of a SpCas9 variant, xCas9 3.7 that has broad PAM compatibility and high DNA targeting specificity, in complex with a single-guide RNA and its double-stranded DNA targets. Structural comparison revealed that salt bridge-stabilized R1335 is critical for the stringent selection of PAM sequence by SpCas9. Unrestricted rotamerization of this residue by the E1219V mutation in xCas9 3.7 lessens the stringency for PAM recognition and allows SpCas9 to recognize multiple PAM sequences as further supported by biochemical data. Compared to those in wild-type (WT) SpCas9, REC2 and REC3 domains in xCas9 3.7 un dergo striki ng conformati onal changes, leadi ng to reduced con tact with DNA substrate. SpCas9 mutants en gineered to display less interaction with DNA and have conformationally more flexible REC2 and REC3 domains display enhanced specificity for DNA substrates in both biochemical and cellular assays. | 9 | Dietary energy intake affects fetal survival and development during early and middle pregnancy in Large White and Meishan gilts显示文摘This experiment was designed to determine the effects of variations in dietary energy intake on reproductive performance and gene expression of luteal and endometrium tissues in Large White(LW)and Meishan(MS) gilts during early and middle pregnancy. After insemination, 32 LW gilts were assigned to high and low(HE_Land LE_L, 14.23 and 12.56 MJ DE/kg, respectively) diet treatment groups,while 32 MS gilts were allocated to HE_M and LE_M(12.56 and 10.88 MJ DE/kg) groups. Gilts were slaughtered on days 35, 55 and 90 of gestation. The fetal survival and luteal progesterone(P_4) concentration in the HE_Lgroup were higher on day 35 but lower on day 90 of gestation compared with the LE_L group(P < 0.05) for LW gilts. However, fetal survival and luteal P_4 concentration on day 35 of gestation were greater(P < 0.05) in the LE_M group than in the HE_M group for MS gilts, but no significant difference in mid-gestation was showed. The fetal weights of both breeds were higher for the high energy diets compared with the respective control group on day 90 of gestation(P < 0.05). In addition,the m RNA levels of P_4 synthesis-related proteins had correlated with luteal P_4 concentration in both breeds. Further, endometrial levels of uteroferrin(ACP5), retinol-binding protein 4(RBP_4) and secreted phosphoprotein 1(SPP1) m RNA were upregulated in the HE_Lgroup on day 35 of gestation but ACP5 and SPP1 were downregulated on day 55 of gestation compared with the LE_Lgroup(P < 0.05) for LW gilts. In MS gilts, diet only affected the expression of SPP1(P < 0.05). Our results revealed the differential sensitivity of LW and MS breeds to variations in dietary energy intake. For LW gilts, the HE_Lgroup improved fetal survival on day 35 but a sustained high energy diet decreased fetal survival on day 90 of gestation. The differences in dietary energy intake did not influence fetal survival on day 90 of gestation but the higher energy diet did increase fetal weight in the MS breed compared with the lower energy intake diet. | 14 | Characteristics of Nitric-Oxide Emissions from Traditional Flame and MILD Combustion Operating in a Laboratory-Scale Furnace显示文摘This study investigated the formation and emission characteristics of nitric oxide(NO) from flameless MILD(moderate or intensive low-oxygen dilution) combustion(MILDC) versus traditional visible-flame combustion(TC) in a 30-k W furnace. Both combustion processes were experimentally operated successively in the same furnace, burning natural gas at a fixed rate of 19 k W and the equivalence ratio of 0.86. Numerical simulations of TC and MILDC were carried out to explain their distinction in the measured furnace temperature and exhaust NO emissions. Present measurements of the NO emission(XNO) versus a varying furnace wall temperature(Tw) have revealed, at the first time, that the relationship of XNO ~ Tw was exponential in both TC and MILDC. By analyzing the simulated results, the average temperature over the reaction zone was identified to be the common characteristic temperature for scaling NO emissions of both cases. Moreover, relative to TC, MILDC had a fairly uniform temperature distribution and low peak temperature, thus reducing the NO emission by over 90%. | 15 | Fast Community Detection Based on Distance Dynamics显示文摘The distance dynamics model is excellent tool for uncovering the community structure of a complex network. However, one issue that must be addressed by this model is its very long computation time in large-scale networks. To identify the community structure of a large-scale network with high speed and high quality, in this paper, we propose a fast community detection algorithm, the F-Attractor, which is based on the distance dynamics model. The main contributions of the F-Attractor are as follows. First, we propose the use of two prejudgment rules from two different perspectives: node and edge. Based on these two rules, we develop a strategy of internal edge prejudgment for predicting the internal edges of the network. Internal edge prejudgment can reduce the number of edges and their neighbors that participate in the distance dynamics model. Second, we introduce a triangle distance to further enhance the speed of the interaction process in the distance dynamics model. This triangle distance uses two known distances to measure a third distance without any extra computation. We combine the above techniques to improve the distance dynamics model and then describe the community detection process of the F-Attractor.
