| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 2 | 42,573 cases of hepatectomy in China: a multicenter retrospective investigation显示文摘Hepatectomy is currently routinely performed in most hospitals in China. China owns the largest population of liver diseases and the biggest number of liver resection cases. A nationwide multicenter retrospective investigation involving 112 hospitals was performed, and focused on liver resection for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). 42,573 cases of hepatectomy were enrolled, and 18,275 valid cases of liver resection for HCC patients were selected for statistical analysis. The epidemiology of HCC, distribution of hepatectomy, postoperative complications and prognosis were finally analyzed. In the 18,275 HCC patients,81% had hepatitis B virus infection and 10% had hepatitis C virus infection. 38% of the HCC patients had normal Alphafetoprotein(AFP) level, and other 35% had an AFP level lower than 400 ng mL^(-1). In the study period, 97% of the hepatectomy for HCC were treated with open surgery, and 23.81% had vascular exclusion techniques. The operation time was(191.7±105.6) min,the blood loss was(546.0±562.8) m L, and blood transfusion was(543.0±1,035.2) m L. The median survival for HCC patients was 631 days, with 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival of 73.2%, 28.8% and 19.6%, respectively. | 4 | Exercise-induced irisin in bone and systemic irisin administration reveal new regulatory mechanisms of bone metabolism显示文摘Irisin is a polypeptide hormone derived from the proteolytic cleavage of fibronectin-type III domaincontaining 5(FNDC5) protein. Once released to circulation upon exercise or cold exposure, irisin stimulates browning of white adipose tissue(WAT) and uncoupling protein 1(UCP1) expression, leading to an increase in total body energy expenditure by augmented UCP1-mediated thermogenesis. It is currently unknown whether irisin is secreted by bone upon exercise or whether it regulates bone metabolism in vivo. In this study, we found that 2 weeks of voluntary wheel-running exercise induced high levels of FNDC5 messenger RNA as well as FNDC5/irisin protein expression in murine bone tissues. Increased immunoreactivity due to exercise-induced FNDC5/irisin expression was detected in different regions of exercised femoral bones,including growth plate, trabecular bone, cortical bone, articular cartilage, and bone–tendon interface. Exercise also increased expression of osteogenic markers in bone and that of UCP1 in WAT, and led to bodyweight loss. Irisin intraperitoneal(IP) administration resulted in increased trabecular and cortical bone thickness and osteoblasts numbers, and concurrently induced UCP1 expression in subcutaneous WAT. Lentiviral FNDC5 IP administration increased cortical bone thickness. In vitro studies in bone cells revealed irisin increases osteoblastogenesis and mineralization, and inhibits receptor activator of nuclear factor-k B ligand(RANKL)-induced osteoclastogenesis. | 8 | Applications of terrestrial laser scanning for tunnels: a review显示文摘In recent years,the use of terrestrial laser scanning( TLS) technique in engineering surveys is gaining an increasing interest due to the advantages of non-contact,rapidity,high accuracy,and large scale. M illions of accurate 3D points( mmlevel accuracy) can be delivered by this technique with a high point density in a short time( up to 1 million points per second),which makes it a potential technique for large scale applications in engineering environments such as tunnels,bridges,and heritage buildings. Tunnels,in particular those with long lengths,create great challenges for surveyors to obtain the satisfactory scanned data. This paper presents a short history of TLS techniques used for tunnels. A general overviewof TLS techniques is given,followed by a reviewof several applications of TLS for tunnels. These applications are classified as: detecting geological features of drilling tunnels,monitoring the geometry of tunnels during excavation,making deformation measurements,and extracting features. The reviewemphasizes howTLS techniques can be used to measure various aspects of tunnels. | 10 | Reservoir Characteristics of Lacustrine Shale and Marine Shale:Examples from the Songliao Basin,Bohai Bay Basin and Qiannan Depression显示文摘Lacustrine shale from the Qingshankou Formatin of Songliao basin and the Shahejie Formation of Bohai Bay basin, and marine shale from the lower Cambrian Jiumenchong Formation of Qiannan depression were analysed by using rock pyrolysis, TOC(total organic carbon), XRD(X-ray diffraction), SEM(scanning electron microscope), FE-SEM(field emission scanning electron microscope), high pressure mercury intrusion, and low pressure N_2 and CO_2 gas adsorption experiments, in aim to reveal their reservoir features. The results show that:(1) the width of micro-pores of all the studied samples mainly ranges from 0.45 to 0.7 nm indicated by CO_2 isotherms, and the width of meso-pores is less than 10 nm, with type IV adsorption isotherms and type H2 hysteresis loop, indicative of 'ink-bottle'-shaped pores. Good correlations exist among pore volume, surface area and averaged pore diameter, and a good positive correlation exists between micro-pore volume and TOC content; however, there is no obvious correlation between meso-pore volume and TOC content;(2) interparticle pores, pores among the edge of mineral grains and organic matter pores were all identified in marine and lacustrine shale, among which the interparticle pores may be influence by dissolution effect. Not all bitumen develops organic matter pore, and only high to over mature bitumen present pores. Now the description methods of micrometer scale pores developed in shale are very lack. | 16 | Application of entransy dissipation based thermal resistance to design optimization of a novel finless evaporator显示文摘Entransy has been applied and studied in a broad range of heat transfer optimizations recently. Current study proposes the entransy of evaporators to conduct the optimization of heat exchangers in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. A novel finless bare tube heat exchanger was studied using a validated heat exchanger modeling tool. The capacity based optimization and entransy dissipation based thermal resistance were used and compared. The applicability of using entransy dissipation based thermal resistance in this type of heat exchanger optimization has been discussed. It has been demonstrated that minimizing entransy dissipation and maximizing capacity are equivalent to optimizing evaporators with fixed flow rates and different when optimizing evaporators with variable flow rates and the deviation is negligible when heat exchanger capacity is small(~1 k W) and more obvious as heat exchanger capacity increases.
