| 1 | B-box proteins:Pivotal players in light-mediated development in plants^FA显示文摘Light signals mediate a number of physio-logical and developmental processes in plants, such as flowering, photomorphogenesis, and pigment accu-mulation. Emerging evidence has revealed that a group of B-box proteins (BBXs) function as central players in these light-mediated developmental processes. B-box proteins are a class of zinc-coordinated transcription factors or regulators that not only directly mediate the transcription of target genes but also interact with various other factors to create a complex regulatory network involved in the precise control of plant growth and development. | 2 | Current understanding of osteoarthritis pathogenesis and relevant new approaches显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA)is the most common degenerative joint disease that causes painful swelling and permanent damage to the joints in the body.The molecular mechanisms of OA are currently unknown.OA is a heterogeneous disease that affects the entire joint,and multiple tissues are altered during OA development.To better understand the pathological mechanisms of OA,new approaches,methods,and techniques need to be used to understand OA pathogenesis.In this review,we first focus on the epigenetic regulation of OA,with a particular focus on DNA methylation,histone modification,and microRNA regulation,followed by a summary of several key mediators in OA-associated pain.We then introduce several innovative techniques that have been and will continue to be used in the fields of OA and OA-associated pain,such as CRISPR,scRNA sequencing,and lineage tracing.Next,we discuss the timely updates concerning cell death regulation in OA pathology,including pyroptosis,ferroptosis,and autophagy,as well as their individual roles in OA and potential molecular targets in treating OA.Finally,our review highlights new directions on the role of the synovial lymphatic system in OA.An improved understanding of OA pathogenesis will aid in the development of more specific and effective therapeutic interventions for OA. | Liping Tong Huan Yu Xingyun Huang Jie Shen Guozhi Xiao Lin Chen Huaiyu Wang Lianping Xing Di Chen | 2022 | Bone Research2022,10,4: | 4 |

| 6 | Identification of long noncoding RNAs involved in resistance to downy mildew in Chinese cabbage显示文摘Brassica downy mildew,a severe disease caused by Hyaloperonospora brassicae,can cause enormous economic losses in Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa L.ssp.pekinensis)production.Although some research has been reported recently concerning the underlying resistance to this disease,no studies have identified or characterized long noncoding RNAs involved in this defense response.In this study,using high-throughput RNA sequencing,we analyzed the disease-responding mRNAs and long noncoding RNAs in two resistant lines(T12–19 and 12–85)and one susceptible line(91–112).Clustering and Gene Ontology analysis of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)showed that more DEGs were involved in the defense response in the two resistant lines than in the susceptible line.Different expression patterns and proposed functions of differentially expressed long noncoding RNAs among T12–19,12–85,and 91–112 indicated that each has a distinct disease response mechanism.There were significantly more cis-and trans-functional long noncoding RNAs in the resistant lines than in the susceptible line,and the genes regulated by these RNAs mostly participated in the disease defense response.Furthermore,we identified a candidate resistance-related long noncoding RNA,MSTRG.19915,which is a long noncoding natural antisense transcript of a MAPK gene,BrMAPK15.Via an agroinfiltration-mediated transient overexpression system and virus-induced gene silencing technology,BrMAPK15 was indicated to have a greater ability to defend against pathogens.MSTRG.19915-silenced seedlings showed enhanced resistance to downy mildew,probably because of the upregulated expression of BrMAPK15.This research identified and characterized long noncoding RNAs involved in resistance to downy mildew,laying a foundation for future in-depth studies of disease resistance mechanisms in Chinese cabbage. | Bin Zhang Tongbing Su Peirong Li Xiaoyun Xin Yunyun Cao Weihong Wang Xiuyun Zhao Deshuang Zhang Yangjun Yu Dayong Li Shuancang Yu Fenglan Zhang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 3 |

| 16 | Structural Analysis of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Variant Proteins显示文摘The spread of the latest SARS-CoV-2 variant Omicron is particularly concerning because of the large number of mutations present in its genome and lack of knowledge about how these mutations would affect the current SARS-CoV-2 vaccines and treatments.Here,by performing phylogenetic analysis using the Omicron spike(S)protein sequence,we found that the Omicron S protein presented the longest evolutionary distance in relation to the other SARS-CoV-2 variants.We predicted the structures of S,M,and N proteins of the Omicron variant using AlphaFold2 and investigated how the mutations have affected the S protein and its parts,S1 NTD and RBD,in detail.We found many amino acids on RBD were mutated,which may influence the interactions between the RBD and ACE2,while also showing the S309 antibody could still be capable of neutralizing Omicron RBD.The Omicron S1 NTD structures display significant differences from the original strain,which could lead to reduced recognition by antibodies resulting in potential immune escape and decreased effectiveness of the existing vaccines.However,this study of the Omicron variant was mainly limited to structural predictions,and these findings should be explored and verified by subsequent experiments.This study provided basic data of the Omicron protein structures that lay the groundwork for future studies related to the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant. | Qiangzhen Yang Ali Alamdar Shah Syed Aamir Fahira Yongyong Shi | 2021 | Research2021,,1: | 1 |

| 18 | NATIONAL FIELD TRIAL OF THE CHINESE CLASSIFICATION AND DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA OF MENTAL DISORDERS: COMPREHENSIBILITY, ACCEPTABILITY AND APPLICABILITY显示文摘The Chinese Neurology and Psychiatry Association conducted a national field trial of its Chinese Classification and Diagnostic Criteria of Mental Disorders (CCMD-2) involoviag 26 provinces and municipalities, 80 psychiatric insititutes, and 224 professionals. The results were as follows: (1)95.2% of researchers considered the comprehensibility, of the CCMD-2 diagnstic criteria good. Within the ten major categories, comprehensibility ranged from 85.7% to 100%. (2) Of those surveyed concerning the acceptibility of the CCCMD-2 diagnostic criteria, 85.9% considered them acceptable. In individual classifications, the rate ranged from 74.1% to 95.2%. (3) 1498 cases were tested.
