| 1 | Profile improvement during CO_2 flooding in ultra-low permeability reservoirs显示文摘Gas flooding such as CO2 flooding may be effectively applied to ultra-low permeability reservoirs, but gas channeling is inevitable due to low viscosity and high mobility of gas and formation heterogeneity. In order to mitigate or prevent gas channeling, ethylenediamine is chosen for permeability profile control. The reaction mechanism of ethylenediamine with CO2, injection performance, swept volume, and enhanced oil recovery were systematically evaluated. The reaction product of ethylenediamine and CO2 was a white solid or a light yellow viscous liquid, which would mitigate or prevent gas channeling. Also, ethylenediamine could be easily injected into ultra-low permeability cores at high temperature with protective ethanol slugs. The core was swept by injection of 0.3 PV ethylenediamine. Oil displacement tests performed on heterogeneous models with closed fractures, oil recovery was significantly enhanced with injection of ethylenediamine. Experimental results showed that using ethylenediamine to plug high permeability layers would provide a new research idea for the gas injection in fractured, heterogeneous and ultra-low permeability reservoirs. | 2 | RhMYB108,an R2R3-MYB transcription factor,is involved in ethylene-and JA-induced petal senescence in rose plants显示文摘Rose(Rosa hybrida)plants are major ornamental species worldwide,and their commercial value greatly depends on their open flowers,as both the quality of fully open petals and long vase life are important.Petal senescence can be started and accelerated by various hormone signals,and ethylene is considered an accelerator of petal senescence in rose.To date,however,the underlying mechanism of signaling crosstalk between ethylene and other hormones such as JA in petal senescence remains largely unknown.Here,we isolated RhMYB108,an R2R3-MYB transcription factor,which is highly expressed in senescing petals as well as in petals treated with exogenous ethylene and JA.Applications of exogenous ethylene and JA markedly accelerated petal senescence,while the process was delayed in response to applications of 1-MCP,an ethylene action inhibitor.In addition,silencing of RhMYB108 alter the expression of SAGs such as RhNAC029,RhNAC053,RhNAC092,RhSAG12,and RhSAG113,and finally block ethylene-and JA-induced petal senescence.Furthermore,RhMYB108 was identified to target the promoters of RhNAC053,RhNAC092,and RhSAG113.Our results reveal a model in which RhMYB108 functions as a receptor of ethylene and JA signals to modulate the onset of petal senescence by targeting and enhancing senescence-associated gene expression. | Shuai Zhang Qingcui Zhao Daxing Zeng Jiehua Xu Hougao Zhou Fenglan Wang Nan Ma Yonghong Li | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 10 |
| 3 | A Genomic Variation Map Provides Insights into the Genetic Basis of Spring Chinese Cabbage (Brassica rapa ssp.pekinensis)Selection显示文摘Chinese cabbage is the most consumed leafy crop in East Asian countries.However,premature bolting induced by continuous low temperatures severely decreases the yield and quality of the Chinese cabbage, and therefore restricts its planting season and geographic distribution.In the past 40years,spring Chinese cabbage with strong winterness has been selected to meet the market demand.Here,we report a genome variation map of Chinese cabbage generated from the resequencing data of 194 geographically diverse accessions of three ecotypes.In-depth analyses of the selection sweeps and genome-wide patterns revealed that spring Chinese cabbage was selected from a specific population of autumn Chinese cabbage around the area of Shandong peninsula in northern China.We identified 23 genomic loci that underwent intensive selection,and further demonstrated by gene expression and haplotype analyses that the incorporation of elite alleles of VERNALISATION INSENTIVE 3.1(BrVIN3.1)and FLOWER LOCUS C 1(BrFLC1)is a determinant genetic source of variation during selection.Moreover,we showed that the quantitative response of BrVIN3.1 to cold due to the sequence variations in the cis elements of the BrVlN3.1 promoter significantly contributes to bolting-time variation in Chinese cabbage.Collectively, our study provides valuable insights into the genetic basis of spring Chinese cabbage selection and will facilitate the breeding of bolting-resistant Varieties by molecular-marker-assisted selection,transgenic or gene editingapproaches. | Tongbing Su Weihong Wang Peirong Li Bin Zhang Pan Li Xiaoyun Xin Honghe Sun Yangjun Yu Deshuang Zhang Xiuyun Zhao Changlong Wen Gang Zhou Yuntong Wang Hongkun Zheng Shuancang Yu Fenglan Zhang | 2018 | Molecular Plant2018,11,11: | 6 |
| 4 | Characteristics of remaining oil viscosity in water-and polymer-flooding reservoirs in Daqing Oilfield显示文摘The experimental analysis of 21 crude oil samples shows a good correlation between high molecular-weight hydrocarbon components (C 40+) and viscosity.Forty-four remaining oil samples extracted from oil sands of oilfield development coring wells were analyzed by high-temperature gas chromatography (HTGC),for the relative abundance of C 21-,C 21-C 40 and C 40+ hydrocarbons.The relationship between viscosity of crude oil and C 40+ (%) hydrocarbons abundance is used to expect the viscosity of remaining oil.The mobility characteristics of remaining oil,the properties of remaining oil,and the next displacement methods in reservoirs either water-flooded or polymer-flooded are studied with rock permeability,oil saturation of coring wells,etc.The experimental results show that the hydrocarbons composition,viscosity,and mobility of remaining oil from both polymer-flooding and water-flooding reservoirs are heterogeneous,especially the former.Relative abundance of C 21- and C 21-C 40 hydrocarbons in polymer-flooding reservoirs is lower than that of water-flooding,but with more abundance of C 40+ hydrocarbons.It is then suggested that polymer flooding must have driven more C 40- hydrocarbons out of reservoir,which resulted in relatively enriched C 40+,more viscous oils,and poorer mobility.Remaining oil in water-flooding reservoirs is dominated by moderate viscosity oil with some low viscosity oil,while polymer-flooding mainly contained moderate viscosity oil with some high viscosity oil.In each oilfield and reservoir,displacement methods of remaining oil,viscosity,and concentration by polymer-solution can be adjusted by current viscosity of remaining oil and mobility ratio in a favorable range.A new basis and methods are suggested for the further development and enhanced oil recovery of remaining oil. | XU ZhengShun,ZHANG JuHe,FENG ZiHui,FANG Wei & WANG FengLan Exploration and Development Research Institute,Daqing Oilfield Company Ltd.,Daqing 163712,China | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,1: | 3 |
| 5 | Identification of long noncoding RNAs involved in resistance to downy mildew in Chinese cabbage显示文摘Brassica downy mildew,a severe disease caused by Hyaloperonospora brassicae,can cause enormous economic losses in Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa L.ssp.pekinensis)production.Although some research has been reported recently concerning the underlying resistance to this disease,no studies have identified or characterized long noncoding RNAs involved in this defense response.In this study,using high-throughput RNA sequencing,we analyzed the disease-responding mRNAs and long noncoding RNAs in two resistant lines(T12–19 and 12–85)and one susceptible line(91–112).Clustering and Gene Ontology analysis of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)showed that more DEGs were involved in the defense response in the two resistant lines than in the susceptible line.Different expression patterns and proposed functions of differentially expressed long noncoding RNAs among T12–19,12–85,and 91–112 indicated that each has a distinct disease response mechanism.There were significantly more cis-and trans-functional long noncoding RNAs in the resistant lines than in the susceptible line,and the genes regulated by these RNAs mostly participated in the disease defense response.Furthermore,we identified a candidate resistance-related long noncoding RNA,MSTRG.19915,which is a long noncoding natural antisense transcript of a MAPK gene,BrMAPK15.Via an agroinfiltration-mediated transient overexpression system and virus-induced gene silencing technology,BrMAPK15 was indicated to have a greater ability to defend against pathogens.MSTRG.19915-silenced seedlings showed enhanced resistance to downy mildew,probably because of the upregulated expression of BrMAPK15.This research identified and characterized long noncoding RNAs involved in resistance to downy mildew,laying a foundation for future in-depth studies of disease resistance mechanisms in Chinese cabbage. | Bin Zhang Tongbing Su Peirong Li Xiaoyun Xin Yunyun Cao Weihong Wang Xiuyun Zhao Deshuang Zhang Yangjun Yu Dayong Li Shuancang Yu Fenglan Zhang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 3 |
| 6 | Variable structure control for three-variable autocatalytic reaction显示文摘In this paper, two irreversible exothermic autocatalytic reactions which carry out in continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) are considered. A differential-algebraic system is applied to model these chemical reactions. The stability and the dynamic behavior are studied for the differential-algebraic system. The Hopf bifurcation appears when the parameter exceeds a critical value. In order to eliminate this complex behavior, the differential-algebraic system is described by a single-input and single-output system with parameter varying within definite intervals, and then variable structure control with sliding mode based on a special power reaching law is designed to stabilize this chemical system. | 9 | Genome-wide analysis of changes in miRNA and target gene expression reveals key roles in heterosis for chinese cabbage biomass显示文摘Heterosis is a complex phenomenon in which hybrids show better phenotypic characteristics than their parents do.Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa L.spp.pekinensis)is a popular leafy crop species,hybrids of which are widely used in commercial production;however,the molecular basis of heterosis for biomass of Chinese cabbage is poorly understood.We characterized heterosis in a Chinese cabbage hybrid cultivar and its parental lines from the seedling stage to the heading stage;marked heterosis of leaf weight and biomass yield were observed.Small RNA sequencing revealed 63 and 50 differentially expressed microRNAs(DEMs)at the seedling and early-heading stages,respectively.The expression levels ofthe majority of miRNA clusters in the hybrid were lower than the mid-parent values(MPVs).Using degradome sequencing,we identi fied 1,819 miRNA target genes.Gene ontology(GO)analyses demonstrated that the target genes ofthe MPV-DEMs and low parental expression level dominance(ELD)miRNAs were signi ficantly enriched in leaf morphogenesis,leaf development,and leaf shaping.Transcriptome analysis revealed that the expression levels of photosynthesis and chlorophyll synthesis-related MPV-DEGs(differentially expressed genes)were signi ficantly different in the F_(1) hybrid compared to the parental lines,resulting in increased photosynthesis capacity and chlorophyll content in the former.Furthermore,expression of genes known to regulate leaf development was also observed at the seedling stage.Arabidopsis plants overexpressing BrGRF4.2 and bra-miR396 presented increased and decreased leaf sizes,respectively.These results provide new insight into the regulation of target genes and miRNA expression patterns in leaf size and heterosis for biomass of B.rapa. | Peirong Li Tongbing Su Deshuang Zhang Weihong Wang Xiaoyun Xin Yangjun Yu Xiuyun Zhao Shuancang Yu Fenglan Zhang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 1 |

| 14 | Osmotic adjustment and up-regulation expression of stress-responsive genes in tomato induced by soil salinity resulted from nitrate fertilization显示文摘Concerns about the soil salinity caused by excessive fertilization have prompted scientists to clarify the detailed mechanisms and find techniques to alleviate the damage caused by this kind of soil salinity.Aims of this study were to elucidate the effect of soil salinity caused by nitrate fertilization and the differences in salinity effect between nitrate salts and NaCl salt with analyses at various levels of crop physiology and molecular biology.A microbial inoculation was also tried to verify whether it could alleviate the salinity-induced loss and damages.In three experiments(Exp I,II and III),nitrate salts(NS)of Ca(NO_(3))_(2) and KNO_(3) were applied to potted tomato plants to simulate the soil salinity caused by fertilization and a microbial inoculant(MI)was applied.Photosynthesis was measured using Li-6400.Osmotic adjustment was analyzed using the mathematically modeled pressure-volume curve;O_(2)-concentration and activity of SOD and nitrate reductase were measured.Expression of nitrate reductase gene and the stress-responsive gene DREB2 was analyzed using the real-time PCR method.In Exp I and II,where the applied NS amount was moderate,NS application at low concentration induced increases in O_(2)-and MDA concentrations and plants acclimated to the soil salinity as the treatment prolonged for weeks.The acclimation was contributed by osmotic adjustment,activation of SOD and re-compartmentation of cell water between symplasm and apoplasm.These adjustments might be ultimately attributed to up-regulation of stress-responsive genes such as DREB2 as well as the nitrate reductase(NR)gene.However,in Exp III,applications of NaCl and NS at high concentration could not show positive effects as NS did.Application of MI synergistically increased the xerophytophysiological regulation caused by NS and alleviated the salinity damage in addition to its own positive effects on the tomato plants.Different from NaCl,nitrate salts at low application rate increased the total biomass and fruit yield of tomato and induced up-regulation expression of stress-responsive genes and the consequent active osmotic adjustment.However,nitrate application at high level negatively affected tomato plants irrespective of the gene up-regulations.Application of MI alleviated the salinity damage and synergistically increased the xerophytophysiological regulation caused by the soil salinity in addition to its positive effects on the tomato crop but the detailed mechanisms needed to be clarified in future further studies. | Tingting Chang Yujie Zhang Huilian Xu Xiaohou Shao Qicong Xu Fenglan Li Lina Yu Zhanyu Zhang | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,3: | 1 |

| 16 | Occurrence and light response of residual plastid genes in a Euglena gracilis bleached mutant strain OflB2显示文摘Euglena gracilis is a unicellular green eukaryotic microalga that features characteristics of both plants and animals.The photosynthetic function of its chloroplast is easily lost under stress resulting in bleached mutants,while the physiological role of their residual plastid DNAs remains unclear.In this study,we obtained five bleached mutants by ofloxacin(Ofl)treatment,identified 12 residual plastid genes in five bleached mutants,and determined the mRNA levels in the wild type E.gracilis(WT)and one bleached mutant(OflB2)under dark and light stimulation conditions by quantitative reverse transcribed PCR(qRTPCR).Results show that the expression of all selected plastid genes in both WT and OflB2 mutant did not change significantly in darkness,while their responses to light stimulation were different.Under the light stimulation conditions,half of the genes did not change significantly,while most of the other genes were down-regulated in OflB2 mutant and up-regulated in WT.Therefore,the bleached mutant retains part of the plastid genome and the plastid relic is responsive to light.Our research will help to understand the functions of residual plastid DNA and evolution of chloroplasts. | QIN Huan GUO Qingqing LIU Chenchen LI Fenglan ZHANG Hua CHU Zihan WANG Jiangxin LEI Anping | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,6: | 0 |

| 18 | Chinese herbal medicine for incomplete immune reconstruction in patients with AIDS undergoing antiretroviral treatment: A systematic review of randomized trials显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Chinese herbal medicines(CHMs)for incomplete immune reconstruction in patients with HIV/AIDS.Methods:Eight electronic databases were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on the use of CHM for patients with HIV/AIDS with incomplete immune reconstruction.Outcomes included CD4þcell count,quality of life,and adverse events/effects.The Cochrane Risk of Bias was employed to evaluate the methodological quality of the included RCTs.Results:We identified 13 eligible RCTs,with an overall high risk of bias,on 10 different CHMs.There was a significant increase in CD4þcell count after the use of Jianpi Yiqi medicinal paste for 3 months;tripterygium glycosides tablets(TGTs)for 3 months(mean difference[MD]52.63 cells/mL,95%confidence interval[CI,46.98,58.28]),6,9,and 12 months;Wenshen Jianpi granules for 6 months;Shenling Fuzheng capsules for 6 months(MD 49.53 cells/mL,95%CI[8.45,90.61])and 12 months;Aikeqing granules for 9 months(MD 61.51 cells/mL,95%CI[16.25,106.77])and 12 months;Guipi decoction for 12 months;Mianyi No.2 granules(JT)for 12 and 18 months;and Chinese medicine granules for 18 months.The increase in the mean difference of CD4þcell count from 6 to 18 months was larger in Chinese medicine granules and Mianyi No.2 granules(JT).Guipi decoction and Jianpi Qushi decoction improved the Karnofsky score.Four RCTs reported the outcome of adverse events/effects,while four cases of minor adverse effects were reported in the TGTs group.Conclusion:Jianpi Yiqi medicinal paste,Wenshen Jianpi granules,Shenling Fuzheng capsules,Aikeqing granules,Guipi decoction,and TGTs may be effective in increasing CD4þwithin 12 months,and Mianyi No.2 granules(JT)and Chinese medicine granules may show long-term effects.High-quality large RCTs on the effectiveness and safety of CHMs are still warranted. | Chen Shen Jing Li Yajun Lian Huidi Lan Fenglan Pu Wenjing Zhang Lingyao Kong Jianping Liu | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2021,8,4: | 0 |

The results showed that when 60% of humic acid was added to the distiller's grain substrate made from coarse distiller's grains,fine distiller's grains,perlite and vermiculite,both the pH and electrical conductivity decreased significantly and were similar to that of the conventional substrate.
