| 4 | Expressions of TGF-β2, bFGF and ICAM-1 in lens epithelial cells of complicated cataract with silicone oil tamponade显示文摘AIM: To investigate the expression differences of transforming growth factor-β2(TGF-β2), basic fibroblast growth factor(b FGF) and intercellular cell-adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) in lens epithelial cells(LECs) of complicated cataract with silicone oil tamponade and agerelated cataract. METHODS: Totally 150 eyes of 150 patients(aged 35 to 77y) were investigated, including 75 patients with complicated cataract after silicone oil tamponade and 75 patients with age-related cataract. The central piece of anterior capsules was collected during cataract surgery. TGF-β2, b FGF and ICAM-1 were detected in the 60 specimens of the two groups by immunohistochemistry. The expression levels of the three kinds of messenger ribonucleic acid(m RNA) were determined by real-time quantitative reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction in the 90 specimens of the two groups.RESULTS: TGF-β2 was detected in the cytomembrane and cytoplasm of the LECs and b FGF was detected in the nucleus. ICAM-1 was positive in the cytomembrane of the LECs and the distribution of positive cells was uneven. | 7 | Assessment of FY-4A and Himawari-8 Cloud Top Height Retrieval through Comparison with Ground-Based Millimeter Radar at Sites in Tibet and Beijing显示文摘The accuracy of passive satellite cloud top height (CTH) retrieval shows regional dependence. This paper assesses the CTH derived from the FY-4A and Himawari-8 satellites through comparison with those from the ground-based millimeter radar at two sites: Yangbajing, Tibet, China (YBJ), and the Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP), Beijing, China. The comparison shows that Himawari-8 missed more CTHs at night than FY-4A, especially at YBJ. It is found that the CTH difference (CTHD;radar CTH minus satellite CTH) for FY-4A and Himawari-8 is 0.06 ± 1.90 km and −0.02 ± 2.40 km at YBJ respectively, and that is 0.93 ± 2.24 km and 0.99 ± 2.37 km at IAP respectively. The discrepancy between the satellites and radar at IAP is larger than that at YBJ. Both satellites show better performance for mid-level and low-level clouds than for high-level clouds at the two sites. The retrievals from FY-4A agree well with those from Himawari-8, with a mean difference of 0.08 km at YBJ and 0.06 km at IAP. It is found that the CTHD decreases as the cloud depth increases at both sites. However, the CTHD has no obvious dependence on cloud layers and fractions. Investigations show that aerosol concentration has little impact on the CTHD. | 8 | Periodically poled lithium niobate whispering gallery mode microcavities on a chip显示文摘In this study, we investigate the fabrication of periodically poled lithium niobate(PPLN) microdisk cavities on a chip. These resonators are fabricated from a PPLN film with a 16 μm poling period on insulator using conventional microfabrication techniques.The quality factor of the PPLN microdisk resonators with a 40-μm radius and a 700-nm thickness is 6.7×10~5. Second harmonic generation(SHG) with an efficiency of 2.2×10^(-6) mW(-1) is demonstrated in the fabricated PPLN microdisks. | 10 | Principle and performance of multi-frequency and multi-GNSS PPP-RTK显示文摘PPP-RTK which takes full advantages of both Real-Time Kinematic(RTK)and Precise Point Positioning(PPP),is able to provide centimeter-level positioning accuracy with rapid integer Ambiguity Resolution(AR).In recent years,with the development of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System(BDS)and Galileo navigation satellite system(Galileo)as well as the modernization of Global Positioning System(GPS)and GLObal NAvigation Satellite System(GLONASS),more than 140 Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)satellites are available.Particularly,the new-generation GNSS satellites are capable of transmitting signals on three or more frequencies.Multi-GNSS and multi-frequency observations become available and can be used to enhance the performance of PPP-RTK.In this contribution,we develop a multi-GNSS and multi-frequency PPP-RTK model,which uses all the available GNSS observations,and comprehensively evaluate its performance in urban environments from the perspectives of positioning accuracy,convergence and fxing percentage.In this method,the precise atmospheric corrections are derived from the multi-frequency and multi-GNSS observations of a regional network,and then disseminated to users to achieve PPP rapid AR.Furthermore,a cascade ambiguity fxing strategy using Extra‐Wide‐Lane(EWL),Wide-Lane(WL)and L1 ambiguities is employed to improve the performance of ambiguity fxing in the urban environments.Vehicle experiments in diferent scenarios such as suburbs,overpasses,and tunnels are conducted to validate the proposed method.In suburbs,an accuracy of within 2 cm in the horizontal direction and 4 cm in the vertical direction,with the fxing percentage of 93.7%can be achieved.Compared to the GPS-only solution,the positioning accuracy is improved by 87.6%.In urban environments where signals are interrupted frequently,a fast ambiguity re-fxing can be achieved within 5 s.Moreover,multifrequency GNSS signals can further improve the positioning performance of PPP-RTK,particularly in the case of small amount of observations.These results demonstrate that the multi-frequency and multi-GNSS PPP-RTK is a promising tool for supporting precise vehicle navigation. | Xingxing Li Bo Wang Xin Li Jiaxin Huang Hongbo Lyu Xinjuan Han | 2022 | Satellite Navigation2022,3,1: | 3 |
| 11 | The dynamic changes and mechanisms of Rehmanniae radix processing based on Maillard reaction显示文摘Background:Traditional Chinese medicines are usually processed before they are used for clinical treatment.This is done in a way associated with the Maillard reaction.Methods:Based on the Maillard reaction,this paper analyzed the degree of processing of rehmannia root(Rehmanniae radix)relative to the dynamic variation rules of Maillard reaction index parameters,including pH,A420,amino acids,and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural.Furthermore,this study introduced thermal analysis techniques and pyrolysis kinetics to assess the influence of the correlation between processing raw rehmannia root and the Maillard reaction during carbonization.It then went through the whole process of transforming the raw material to end-product in order to explain the scientific connotation of processing it.Results:The results showed that each time rehmannia root was processed,its pH value and amino acid content decreased,while the A420 value and 5-HMF increased.Processing with wine shows a significant difference in these experimental indexes.The position and intensity of the maximum thermal weight loss rate peak of processed rehmannia root at different degrees of processing are different.Comprehensive quantitative 221±0.2°C for processed rehmannia root carbonization was the processing temperature limit.Moreover,the kinetic solution verified that the activation energy corresponding to the carbonization temperature was close to the maximum value of the activation energy of the whole carbonization process,and the optimal mechanism function was g(α)=((1−α)−1/3−1)2.Conclusion:The Maillard reaction occurred during the processing of rehmannia root mixed with carbonization.With each increase of the number of steaming and drying cycles involved in the processing,the level of Maillard reaction increased significantly.The wine-steaming method had a significant effect on the quality of the processed product. | Xiang-Long Meng Bo Wang Xiao-Yan Zhang Chen-Zi Lyu Xiao-Juan Su Chen-Xu Ning Shuo-Sheng Zhang | 2021 | Traditional Medicine Research2021,6,1: | 3 |
| 12 | Downregulation of SNRPG induces cell cycle arrest and sensitizes human glioblastoma cells to temozolomide by targeting Myc through a p53-dependent signaling pathway显示文摘Objective:Temozolomide(TMZ)is commonly used for glioblastoma multiforme(GBM)chemotherapy.However,drug resistance limits its therapeutic effect in GBM treatment.RNA-binding proteins(RBPs)have vital roles in posttranscriptional events.While disturbance of RBP-RNA network activity is potentially associated with cancer development,the precise mechanisms are not fully known.The SNRPG gene,encoding small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide G,was recently found to be related to cancer incidence,but its exact function has yet to be elucidated.Methods:SNRPG knockdown was achieved via short hairpin RNAs.Gene expression profiling and Western blot analyses were used to identify potential glioma cell growth signaling pathways affected by SNRPG.Xenograft tumors were examined to determine the carcinogenic effects of SNRPG on glioma tissues.Results:The SNRPG-mediated inhibitory effect on glioma cells might be due to the targeted prevention of Myc and p53.In addition,the effects of SNRPG loss on p53 levels and cell cycle progression were found to be Myc-dependent.Furthermore,SNRPG was increased in TMZ-resistant GBM cells,and downregulation of SNRPG potentially sensitized resistant cells to TMZ,suggesting that SNRPG deficiency decreases the chemoresistance of GBM cells to TMZ via the p53 signaling pathway.Our data confirmed that SNRPG suppression sensitizes GBM cells to TMZ by targeting Myc via the p53 signaling cascade.Conclusions:These results indicated that SNRPG is a probable molecular target of GBM and suggested that suppressing SNRPG in resistant GBM cells might be a substantially beneficial method for overcoming essential drug resistance. | Yulong Lan Jiacheng Lou Jiliang Hu Zhikuan Yu Wen Lyu Bo Zhang | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1: | 3 |

| 20 | Diagnosis and treatment of acute graft-versus-host disease after liver transplantation:Report of six cases显示文摘BACKGROUND Graft-versus-host disease(GVHD)following liver transplantation(LT)is an unpredictable complication with poor outcome.However,consensus regarding the diagnosis and therapeutic regimen for the disease is yet lacking.The present study summarized the clinical experience on the diagnosis and treatment of acute GVHD(aGVHD)following LT and reviewed the pertinent literature.CASE SUMMARY Between January 1^(st),2000 and December 31^(st),2020,a total of 1053 LT were performed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University.Six recipients developed aGVHD with clinical symptoms of fever,rash,diarrhea,and pancytopenia.The incidence of aGVHD was 0.57%.The median time from LT to the clinical presentation of aGVHD was 22.17 d.The median time from the beginning of the clinical symptom to histopathological diagnosis was 7.5 d.All six cases underwent treatment of immunosuppressant adjustment,corticosteroids,human normal immunoglobulin,and antithymocyte globulin/IL-2 antagonists.Despite intensive treatment strategies,4 patients were deceased due to sepsis,multiple organ failure,and cerebral hemorrhage.The remaining two cases were discharged as treatment successfully.However,one died because of tuberculosis infection on the 6 th month of follow-up,the other one was alive healthy during 30 mo of follow-up.CONCLUSION The rapid diagnosis of aGVHD is mainly based on the time from the first symptom,histopathological features,and the donor T-lymphocyte chimerism.Our cases report highlights massive corticosteroid therapy and age difference between donors and recipients could accelerate to aGVHD.Moreover,gut microbial interventions and donor-targeted serotherapy may provide novel therapeutics. | Min Tian Yi Lyu Bo Wang Chang Liu Liang Yu Jian-Hua Shi Xue-Min Liu Xiao-Gang Zhang Kun Guo Yu Li Liang-Shuo Hu | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2021,9,30: | 1 |
