1Lushan M_S7.0 earthquake:A blind reserve-fault event显示文摘In the epicenter of the Lushan MS7.0 earthquake there are several imbricate active reverse faults lying from northwest to southeast,namely the Gengda-Longdong,Yanjing-Wulong,Shuangshi-Dachuan and Dayi faults.Emergency field investigations have indicated that no apparent earthquake surface rupture zones were located along these active faults or their adjacent areas.Only brittle compressive ruptures in the cement-covered pavements can be seen in Shuangshi,Taiping,Longxing and Longmen Townships,and these ruptures show that a local crustal shortening occurred in the region during the earthquake.Combining spatial distribution of the relocated aftershocks and focal mechanism solutions,it is inferred that the Lushan earthquake is classified as a typical blind reverse-fault earthquake,and it is advised that the relevant departments should pay great attention to other historically un-ruptured segments along the Longmenshan thrust belt and throughout its adjacent areas.XU XiWei WEN XueZe HAN ZhuJun CHEN GuiHua LI ChuanYou ZHENG WenJun ZHNAG ShiMin REN ZhiQun XU Chong TAN XiBin WEI ZhanYu WANG MingMing REN JunJie HE ZhongTai LIANG MingJian 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:35
2Prospect of the QTL-qSB-9^(Tq) utilized in molecular breeding program of japonica rice against sheath blight显示文摘The major QTL-qSB-9Tq conferring partial resistance to rice (Oryza sativa L.) sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani Kühn) has been verified on chromosome 9 of the indica rice cultivar, Teqing. In this study, the prospect of this QTL utilized in molecular breeding program of japonica rice for sheath blight resistance was investigated. Most of the japonica rice cultivars showed lower level of sheath blight resistance than the indica rice cultivars. At the corresponding site of qSB-9Tq, nine typical japonica rice cultivars from different ecological regions or countries proved to possess the susceptible allele(s). Introgression of qSB-9Tq into these cultivars enhanced their resistance level by decreasing sheath blight score of 1.0 (0.5–1.3), which indicated that qSB-9Tq had a large potential in strengthening the resistance of japonica rice to sheath blight. 3Counteraction of ABA-Mediated Inhibition of Seed Germination and Seedling Establishment by ABA Signaling Terminator in Arabidopsis显示文摘Seed germination and seedling establishment are important for the reproductive success of plants,but seeds and seedlings typically encounter constantly changing environmental conditions.By inhibiting seed germination and post-germinative growth through the PYR1/PYL/RCAR ABA receptors and PP2C co-receptors,the phytohormone abscisic acid(ABA)prevents premature germination and seedling growth under unfavorable conditions.However,little is known about how the ABA-mediated inhibition of seed germination and seedling establishment is thwarted.Here,we report that ABA Signaling Terminator(ABT),a WD40 protein,efficiently switches off ABA signaling and is critical for seed germination and seedling establishment.ABT is induced by ABA in a PYR1/PYL/RCAR-PP2C-dependent manner.Overexpression of ABT promotes seed germination and seedling greening in the presence of ABA,whereas knockout of ABT has the opposite effect.We found that ABT interacts with the PYR1/PYL/RCAR and PP2C proteins,interferes with the interaction between PYR1/PYL4 and ABI1/ABI2,and hampers the inhibition of ABI1/ABI2 by ABA-bound PYR1/PYL4,thereby terminating ABA signaling.Taken together,our results reveal a core mechanism of ABA signaling termination that is critical for seed germination and seedling establishment in Arabidopsis.Zhijuan Wang Ziyin Ren Chunhong Cheng Tao Wang Hongtao Ji Yang Zhao Zhiping Deng Liya Zhi Jingjing Lu Xinying Wu Shimin Xu Mengmeng Cao Hongtao Zhao Liu Liu Jiankang Zhu Xia Li 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,9:10
4The effect of nanohybrid materials on the pour-point and viscosity depressing of waxy crude oil显示文摘The pipeline transportation of waxy crude oil is a problem both at home and abroad.In this paper,a novel nanohybrid pour-point depressant (PPD) was used to decrease the pour point and viscosity of waxy crude oil.The pour point and apparent viscosity of waxy crude oil was decreased significantly upon addition of the nanohybrid PPD,and the long-term stability of the nanohybrid PPD was superior to that of a conventional ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer PPD.Polarized optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction were used to study the effect of the nanohybrid PPD on the crystallization of crude oil.Addition of the nanohybrid PPD reduced the amount of wax crystals,prevented their aggregation,and reduced the temperature at which the crude oil started to crystallize.The significant effect of this nanohybrid PPD on the pour point and viscosity depressing of crude oil is of great importance for facilitating the safe,efficient and energy-minimized transportation of waxy crude oil.WANG Feng ZHANG DongMin DING YanFen ZHANG LiXin YANG MingShu JIANG BaoLiang ZHANG ShiMin AI MuYang LIU GuangWen ZHI ShuJie HUO LianFeng OUYANG Xin LI Li 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,1:9
5Impacts of artificially planted vegetation on the ecological restoration of movable sand dunes in the Mugetan Desert,northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Controlling desertification is an important ecological target for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China,where studies on impacts of vegetation restoration measures on sandy soil improvement are still lacking.The Mugetan Desert in Guinan County,Qinghai Province,northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is a representative ecological restoration area.The impacts of artificial vegetation on the ecological restoration and its properties are studied by using field investigation and sample testing including contents of the surface layer and the vegetation composition of movable,semi-fixed,and fixed sand dunes.Results demonstrate that the moss crust has formed on the surface of a sand dune which has become fixed after 30 years under the impact of artificial vegetation(i.e.Cathay poplar).Meanwhile,the clay minerals,organic matter,and other soil available nutrients have markedly increased.A correlation has been found between these materials,i.e.,clay minerals and organic matter content increasing with silt and clay increases with reduction in sand content.In addition,soil nutrient were positively correlated with the increase of plant diversity.Under the current meteorological conditions,the artificial vegetation is helpful for the stabilization of sand dune and the ecological restoration in the Mugetan Desert.Yanfu Li Zhiwei Li Zhaoyin Wang Wenlong Wang Yanhong Jia Shimin Tian 2017International Journal of Sediment Research2017,32,2:8

7Pressure sintering of W-15wt.%Cu alloys prepared by mechanical alloying as a subsequent densification treatment method显示文摘The sintered W-15wt.%Cu alloys fabricated by mechanical alloying were re-sintered under pressure to increase the density and improve the properties of these alloys. The pressure was applied vertically along the axis of the sintered sample. Properties such as density, hardness, and bending strength were measured. The microstructures of the sintered bod- ies were observed. The results showed that the subsequent pressure sintering could increase the density of the sintered W-15wt.%Cu alloys. 9Electron beam welding of Re and BT5-1 titanium alloy显示文摘Based on the binary alloy phase diagram of Re-Ti, the weldability of Re and BT5-1 titanium alloy was analyzed.Using two methods of direct electron beam welding (EBW-D) and intergradation electron beam welding (EBW-I), Re andBT5-1 was welded. Experimental results show that the joint figuration of EBW-D between Re and BT5-1 is not fine, andthe joint is inclined to brittleness rupture. The joint figuration of EBW-I between Re and BT5-1 is fine. No cracking andother disfigures occur in the intergradation joint. 10Transplantation of placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells in type 2 diabetes:a pilot study显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSC)have been used in clinical trials for severe diabetes,a chronic disease with high morbidity and mortality.Bone marrow is the traditional source of human MSC,but human term placenta appears to be an alternative and more readily available source.Here,the therapeutic effect of human placenta-derived MSC(PD-MSC)was studied in type 2 diabetes patients with longer duration,islet cell dysfunction,high insulin doses as well as poor glycemic control in order to evaluate the safety,efficacy and feasibility of PD-MSC treatment in type 2 diabetes(T2D).Ten patients with T2D received three intravenous infusions of PDSC,with one month interval of infusion.The total number of PDSC for each patient was(1.22–1.51)×10^(6)/kg,with an average of 1.35×10^(6)/kg.All of the patients were followed up after therapy for at least 3 months.A daily mean dose of insulin used in 10 patients was decreased from 63.7±18.7 to 34.7±13.4 IU(P<0.01),and the C-peptide level was increased from 4.1±3.7 ng/mL to 5.6±3.8 ng/mL(P<0.05)respectively after therapy.In 4 of 10 responders their insulin doses reduced more than 50%after infusion.The mean levels of insulin and C-peptide at each time point in a total of 10 patients was higher after treatment(P<0.05).No fever,chills,liver damage and other side effects were reported.The renal function and cardiac function were improved after infusion.The results obtained from this pilot clinical trial indicate that transplantation of PD-MSC represents a simple,safe and effective therapeutic approach for T2D patients with islet cell dysfunction.Further large-scale,randomized and well-controlled clinical studies will be required to substantiate these observations.Ranhua JIANG Zhibo HAN Guangsheng ZHUO Xiaodan QU Xue LI Xin WANG Yuankang SHAO Shimin YANG Zhong Chao HAN 2011Frontiers of Medicine2011,5,1:5

12Generalized two-mode coherent-entangled state with real parameters显示文摘The coherent-entangled state |α, x; λ> with real parameters λ is proposed in the two-mode Fock space, which exhibits the properties of both the coherent and entangled states. The completeness relation of |α, x; λ> is proved by virtue of the technique of integral within an ordered product of operators. The corresponding squeezing operator is derived, with its own squeezing properties. Furthermore, generalized P-representation in the coherent-entangled state is constructed. 13Isolation and characterization of rl_(t), a gene that controls leaf rolling in rice显示文摘Moderate leaf rolling is one of the most important morphological traits in rice breeding for plant ideotype.Previous studies have shown that the rl(t)gene has a high breeding potential for developing hybrid-rice varieties with an ideal ideotype,because it leads to an appropriate leaf rolling index(LRI)of about 30%in the heterozygous state,and had a positive effect on grain yield.In this study,we isolated rl(t)and performed a preliminary investigation of its function in regulating leaf rolling in rice.DNA sequencing identified a single base change(G to T)in the finely mapped region(11 kb)containing rl(t),and this is located in 30-untranslated region(30-UTR)of the only predicted gene,Roc5(Rice outermost cell-specific).The expression level of Roc5 is significantly higher in the rl(t)mutant than in the wild-type.Using RNAi and overexpression analysis,we found that the expression level of Roc5 correlated with LRI and leaf bulliform area,and wasalso associated with leaf abaxial or adaxial rolling.These results confirmed that Roc5 controls leaf rolling in a dosage-dependent manner.Bioinformatics analysis revealed a conserved 17-nt sequence(called the GU-rich element)in the 30-UTR of HD-GL2(Homeodomain-Glabra2)family genes including Roc5.Based on the model of this element in regulating mRNA stability in mammals,we speculate that the single nucleotide change in this element accounts for the higher expression level of Roc5 in the rl(t)mutant compared to the wild-type,which ultimately leads to adaxial rolling of the leaf.This discovery further enhances our knowledge of the molecular mechanisms underlying leaf rolling in rice.Lei Li Xiang Xue Zongxiang Chen Yafang Zhang Yuyin Ma Cunhong Pan Junkai Zhu Xuebiao Pan Shimin Zuo 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,25:4
14Preclinical evaluation and pilot clinical study of [^(18)F]AlF-labeled FAPI-tracer for PET imaging of cancer associated fibroblasts显示文摘In recent years,fibroblast activation protein(FAP)has emerged as an attractive target for the diagnosis and radiotherapy of cancers using FAP-specific radioligands.Herein,we aimed to design a novel^(18)Flabeled FAP tracer([^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI)for FAP imaging and evaluated its potential for clinical application.The[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI novel tracer was prepared in an automated manner within 42 min with a non-decay corrected radiochemical yield of 32±6%(n=8).Among A549-FAP cells,[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI demonstrated specific uptake,rapid internalization,and low cellular efflux.Compared to the patent tracer[^(18)F]FAPI-42,[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI exhibited lower levels of cellular efflux in the A549-FAP cells and higher stability in vivo.Micro-PET imaging in the A549-FAP tumor model indicated higher specific tumor uptake of[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI(7.0±1.0%ID/g)compared to patent tracers[^(18)F]FAPI-42(3.2±0.6%ID/g)and[68 Ga]Ga-FAPI-04(2.7±0.5%ID/g).Furthermore,in an initial diagnostic application in a patient with nasopharyngeal cancer,[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI and[^(18)F]FDG PET/CT showed comparable results for both primary tumors and lymph node metastases.These results suggest that[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI can be conveniently prepared,with promising characteristics in the preclinical evaluation.The feasibility of FAP imaging was demonstrated using PET studies.Kongzhen Hu Junqi Li Lijuan Wang Yong Huang Li Li Shimin Ye Yanjiang Han Shun Huang Hubing Wu Jin Su Ganghua Tang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2:4
15Synthesis, characterization, thermodynamic and kinetic investigations on uranium(Ⅵ) adsorption using organic-inorganic composites: Zirconyl-molybdopyrophosphate-tributyl phosphate显示文摘Zirconyl-molybdopyrophosphate-tributyl phosphate(ZMPP-TBP)was a novel organic-inorganic composite adsorbent prepared by co-precipitation method and used in the adsorption of uranium from aqueous solution in batch adsorption experiments.The as-obtained product was characterized using SEM,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),XRD and BET-N2adsorption measurements.The study had been conducted to investigate the effects of solution pH,temperature,contact time,initial concentration and coexisting ions.A maximum removal of 99.31%was observed for an initial concentration 5 mg/L,at pH6.0 and an adsorbent dose of 1.0 g/L.The isothermal data were fitted with both Langmuir and Freundlich equations,but the data fitted the former better than the latter.According to the evaluation using the Langmuir equation,the maximum adsorption capacity of uranium(Ⅵ)was 196.08 mg/g at 293 K and pH 6.0.The pseudo-first-order kinetic model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model were used to describe the kinetic data,and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model was better.The thermodynamic parameterΔG was calculated,the negativeΔG values of uranium(VI)at different temperature showed that the adsorption process was spontaneous.The good reusability of ZMPP-TBP also indicated that the ZMPP-TBP was a very promising adsorbent for uranium adsorption from aqueous solution.ZHOU ShiMin CHEN BaiHua LI Yuan GUO JingWei CAI XiaoJiaoX CAI XiaoJiao QIN Zhi BAI Jing NA Ping 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,11:4
16LA-ICP-MS U–Pb geochronology of detrital zircons from the Zhaochigou Formation-complex in the Helan Mountain and its tectonic significance显示文摘This paper carries out studies about LA-ICPMS U–Pb dating and Hf isotopic compositional analysis for detrital zircons in two metasedimentary samples that were taken from the Zhaochigou Formation-complex in the Helan Mountain.The results show that the Zhaochigou Formation-complex formed*1.96 Ga,and it is a part of the Khondalite Series that is widespread in the North China Craton(NCC).The age spectrum of the detrital zircons indicates that the Zhaochigou Formation-complex shared the same provenance with the eastern edge of the Khondalite Series.Products of ancient magmatic activities within the Khondalite Belt may be the major source for the sedimentary materials that formed the Khondalite Series.Our age-dating results suggest that the Khondalite Series in the NCC may have experienced two stages of metamorphism,as the early stage occurred during 1.96–1.95 Ga,and the later stage occurred at about 1.87 Ga.The Hfisotopic data indicate that the Western Block of the NCC endured a stage of crustal growth at 2.5–2.3 Ga.Liming Li Zuoxun Zeng Yanjun Lu Yunxu Wei Shimin Xiang Lili Pan 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,13:3
17Nano CuO/ZSM-5 zeolite as a green and efficient catalyst for dehydration of 1,4-butanediol to tetrahydrofuran显示文摘Nano CuO/ZSM-5 zeolite was prepared and used as a catalyst for dehydration of 1,4-butanediol(BDO) to tetrahydrofuran(THF) in liquid-phase. It was found that the 4.6 wt% CuO/ZSM-5 displayed good catalytic performance, and nearly 100%of BDO conversion and more than 99% of THF selectivity could be achieved by a rotary evaporator reactor at 170 °C under the atmospheric pressure. With such mild reaction conditions, 2400 g BDO could be converted to THF over 1 g catalyst under semi-continuous operation. Characterizations with X-ray diffraction(XRD), temperature-programmed reduction(TPR),NH3-temperature programmed desorption(TPD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), transmission electron microscope(TEM) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) over fresh and used 4.6 wt% CuO/ZSM-5 were conducted. 19Mineral composition and particle size distribution of river sediment and loess in the middle and lower Yellow River显示文摘Hyperconcentrated flows often occur in the middle and lower Yellow River(MLYR)and its tributaries,within which the main sediment source originates from the Loess Plateau of China due to serious water erosion.Little is known about the properties of river sediment that is transported by hyperconcentrated flows,particularly with respect to the mineral composition and size distribution.Samples of sediment and loess were collected in the northern,middle,and southern Loess Plateau and the mainstream and tributaries of the MLYR.A total of 18 loess samples and 24 river sediment samples were analyzed to determine their sediment size distribution and mineral composition.The bottom loess samples reflected the original sedimentary features of the Loess Plateau,and the median particle size reduced,and the clay content increased from the north to the south of the study region.The surface loess has been weathered under the action of wind and rainfall,and the clay particle content in the surface loess samples was higher than that in the undisturbed bottom loess.Erosion of the surface soil due to rainfall and surface runoff means that fine particles(mostly clay)have been washed away.The median diameter of surface loess particles was a little larger than that of the bottom loess particles where water erosion dominates.The particle size became coarser with increasing distance from the estuary in the MLYR,which reflects depositional sorting in the river channel.Significant logarithmic relations were found between the median diameter of the sediment particles and the i)non-clay mineral content and ii)clay mineral content.Thus,clay and non-clay mineral compositions can be conveniently estimated from the particle size distribution.Shimin Tian Zhiwei Li Zhaoyin Wang Enhui Jiang Wenlong Wang Meng Sun 2021International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,3:3
