| 1 | Deep-learning-based extraction of the animal migration patterns from weather radar images显示文摘Continental coverage and year-round operation of the weather radar networks provide an unprecedented opportunity for studying large-scale airborne migration.The broad and local-scale airborne information collected by these infrastructures can answer many ecological questions.However,extracting and interpreting the biological information from such massive weather radar data remains an intractable problem.Recently,many big-data problems have been solved using the deep learning technology.In this study,the biological information in the weather radar data is identified using the advanced deep learning method.The proposed method consists of two main parts,i.e.,a rendering and casting procedure and an image segmentation procedure based on a convolutional neural network.The biological data are automatically extracted by rendering and mapping,image segmentation,and result masking.By analyzing the typical radar data from single and multiple stations,we partly reveal the intensity and speed of the migration pattern.We present the first feasibility study of the extraction of local and large-scale biological phenomena from the Chinese weather radar network data. | Kai CUI Cheng HU Rui WANG Yi SUI Huafeng MAO Huayu LI | 2020 | Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,4: | 11 |

| 7 | Application of orthogonal experimental design and Tikhonov regularization method for the identification of parameters in the casting solidification process显示文摘The inverse heat conduction method is one of methods to identify the casting simu- lation parameters. A new inverse method was presented according to the Tikhonov regularization theory. One appropriate regularized functional was established, and the functional was solved by the sensitivity coeffcient and Newton-Raphson iteration method. Moreover, the orthogonal experimental design was used to estimate the ap- propriate initial value and variation domain of each variable to decrease the number of iteration and improve the identification accuracy and effciency. It illustrated a detailed case of AlSi7Mg sand mold casting and the temperature measurement ex- periment was done. The physical properties of sand mold and the interfacial heat transfer coeffcient were identified at the meantime. | 8 | Factors Affecting Embryogenic Callus Production and Plant Regeneration in Anther Culture of Bupleurum chinense显示文摘Objective To evaluate the influences of the genotypes,anther developmental stages,and cultural conditions on the efficiency of embryogenic callus induction and plant regeneration in the anthers culture of Bupleurum chinense.Methods The different effects such as four genotypes,plant growth regulators,and temperature condition were compared in the experiments.The histological study was performed with the process of the anther culture.Results The highest inducing rate of embryogenic calli were achieved for the genotypes Zhongcaiyihao(ZCYH),Z4,and Z5 at the early-to middle-uninucleate stages,except for genotype ZPM1 at the tetrad stage.Cold pretreatment increased the production of the embryogenic callus,in which 4-day cold pretreatment improved the production of embryogenic callus from 0% to 2.2% and 5.0% for genotypes ZPM1 and ZCYH,respectively.No embryogenic callus was induced in the medium containing less than 0.75 mg/L 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D) .The highest regeneration rate(34.6%) was obtained in 1/2 MS salts regeneration medium supplemented with 0.1 mg/L 6-benzylmaminopurine(BA) .The low concentration of BA was able to promote the embryogenic callus formation and subsequent plantlet regeneration via somatic embryogenesis.Chromosome counting of regenerated plantlets showed mostly diploid plant(2n = 12) with only one haploid plant(n = 6) .Because of the low rate of microspore embryo formation,we only tracked the process of embryogenesis from the connective tissue,instead of microspore by histological observations.Conclusion This study establishes an efficient system for embryogenic callus induction and plant regeneration system.This is the first report on the haploid plantlet through the anther culture of B.chinense. | YANG Cheng-min,ZHAO Yu-kai,WEI Jian-he,ZHAO Li-zi,SUI Chun,ZHANG Zheng,CUI Lu-ying Institute of Medicinal Plant Development,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College,Beijing 100193,China | 2011 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2011,3,3: | 3 |

| 10 | Effect of carbon and nitrogen ratio control on Artemia growth, water quality, biofloc microbial diversity under high salinity and zero-water exchange culture condition显示文摘Biofloc technology has been applied successfully in the intensive aquaculture of several fish and shrimp species. The growth of heterotrophic microorganisms can be stimulated through adding extra carbon, which reduces the nitrogen level in the water and provides microbial protein to the animals. However, most of the studies and practical applications have been conducted in freshwater and marine environment. This paper focused on brine shrimp Artemia that lives in high salinity environment together with other halophilic or halotolerant microorganisms. The effect of carbon supplementation on Artemia growth, water quality, and microbial diversity of biofl ocs was studied in the closed culture condition without any water exchange. The salinity of the culture medium was 100. A 24-d culture trial was conducted through supplementing sucrose at carbon/nitrogen (C/N) ratio of 5, 15, and 30 (Su5, Su15, and Su30), respectively. The culture without adding sucrose was used as a control. Artemia was fed formulated feed at a feeding ration of 60% recommended feeding level. The results showed that sucrose supplementation at higher C/N ratio (15 and 30) signifi cantly improved the Artemia survival, growth and water quality ( P <0.05). Addition of sucrose at C/N ratio of 15 and 30 significantly increased biofloc volume (BFV)( P <0.05). The Illumina MiSeq sequencing analysis showed that supplementing carbon at C/N ratio of 15 had a better total bacterial diversity and richness, and shaped the microbial composition at genera level. | 11 | Effects of process parameters on fragment and refinement of millimeter- grade coarse grains for 316LN steel during hot cogging显示文摘The heterogeneous mixed-grain microstructure is a common defect for the heavy forging of 316 LN austenitic stainless steel. Isothermal compression experiments were performed on a Gleeble-3500 thermo-mechanical simulator to investigate the effect of process parameters on the fragment and refinement of millimeter-grade coarse grains( MCGs) during hot cogging. The experimental results indicate that the stress of MCG specimens is much larger than that of fine grain( FG) ones at 1 150 °C,while the stress difference between MCG and FG samples became smaller at 1 200 °C. Moreover,the MCGs can be well fragmented and refined under the condition of temperature of 1 200 °C,strain rate of 0. 01 s^(-1),and reduction rate of 50%. Meanwhile,numerical simulations were conducted to study the influences of temperature,strain and strain rate on microstructure evolution.
