| 5 | Single-shot 3D tracking based on polarization multiplexed Fourier-phase camera显示文摘For moving objects,3D mapping and tracking has found important applications in the 3D reconstruction for vision odometry or simultaneous localization and mapping.This paper presents a novel camera architecture to locate the fast-moving objects in four-dimensional(4D)space(x,y,z,t)through a single-shot image.Our 3D tracking system records two orthogonal fields-of-view(FoVs)with different polarization states on one polarization sensor.An optical spatial modulator is applied to build up temporal Fourier-phase coding channels,and the integration is performed in the corresponding CMOS pixels during the exposure time.With the 8 bit grayscale modulation,each coding channel can achieve 256 times temporal resolution improvement.A fast single-shot 3D tracking system with 0.78 ms temporal resolution in 200 ms exposure is experimentally demonstrated.Furthermore,it provides a new image format,Fourier-phase map,which has a compact data volume.The latent spatio-temporal information in one 2D image can be efficiently reconstructed at relatively low computation cost through the straightforward phase matching algorithm.Cooperated with scene-driven exposure as well as reasonable Fourier-phase prediction,one could acquire 4D data(x,y,z,t)of the moving objects,segment 3D motion based on temporal cues,and track targets in a complicated environment. | JIAJIE TENG CHENGYANG HU HONGHAO HUANG MINGHUA CHEN SIGANG YANG HONGWEI CHEN | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,10: | 2 |

| 13 | Isolation and comparative proteomic analysis of mitochondria from the pulp of ripening citrus fruit显示文摘Mitochondria are crucial for the production of primary and secondary metabolites,which largely determine the quality of fruit.However,a method for isolating high-quality mitochondria is currently not available in citrus fruit,preventing high-throughput characterization of mitochondrial functions.Here,based on differential and discontinuous Percoll density gradient centrifugation,we devised a universal protocol for isolating mitochondria from the pulp of four major citrus species,including satsuma mandarin,ponkan mandarin,sweet orange,and pummelo.Western blot analysis and microscopy confirmed the high purity and intactness of the isolated mitochondria.By using this protocol coupled with a label-free proteomic approach,a total of 3353 nonredundant proteins were identified.Comparison of the four mitochondrial proteomes revealed that the proteins commonly detected in all proteomes participate in several typical metabolic pathways(such as tricarboxylic acid cycle,pyruvate metabolism,and oxidative phosphorylation)and pathways closely related to fruit quality(such asγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)shunt,ascorbate metabolism,and biosynthesis of secondary metabolites).In addition,differentially abundant proteins(DAPs)between different types of species were also identified;these were found to be mainly involved in fatty acid and amino acid metabolism and were further confirmed to be localized to the mitochondria by subcellular localization analysis.In summary,the proposed protocol for the isolation of highly pure mitochondria from different citrus fruits may be used to obtain high-coverage mitochondrial proteomes,which can help to establish the association between mitochondrial metabolism and fruit storability or quality characteristics of different species and lay the foundation for discovering novel functions of mitochondria in plants. | Xin Li Yingfang Chai Hongbin Yang Zhen Tian Chengyang Li Rangwei Xu Chunmei Shi Feng Zhu Yunliu Zeng Xiuxin Deng Pengwei Wang Yunjiang Cheng | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 0 |
| 14 | Variability of urban fractional vegetation cover and its driving factors in 328 cities in China显示文摘Urban green space promotes the health of urban residents,enhances urban ecosystem biodiversity,mitigates environmental pollution,and attenuates urban heat island effect.However,urban vegetation cover is highly heterogeneous and difficult to quantify.In this study,the variation of urban fractional vegetation cover(FVC)in 328 cities in China from 1990 to2022 was quantified based on Landsat satellite data at a 30-m resolution.It was found that from 1990 to 2005,due to increases in building density and impervious surfaces in cities,the national mean urban vegetation cover decreased from 0.38 to 0.35.After2005,urban vegetation cover began to reverse,reaching 0.45 in 2022.This increasing trend was most pronounced in newly built urban districts.The decrease in average urban vegetation cover before 2005 was mainly due to the expansion of low vegetation cover areas,while the increase in urban vegetation cover after 2005 manifested as the expansion of high vegetation cover areas.The reversal in the trend of urban vegetation cover change after 2004 is related to the gradual implementation of national policies requiring increased urban green space coverage.The urban gross domestic product(GDP)showed the highest correlation with changes in urban vegetation cover.For large and medium-sized cities,the top three factors influencing vegetation cover were GDP,urban population,and temperature.However,for cities in arid/semi-arid regions,changes in vegetation cover were more sensitive to climatic factors(such as precipitation).Although the urban vegetation cover in China has substantially increased in recent years,the urban green space in small-sized cities and in the old urban districts of large-sized cities still have room to improve. | Fei FENG Xin YANG Baoquan JIA Xiaoting LI Xianwen LI Chengyang XU Kaicun WANG | 2024 | Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,2: | 0 |

| 16 | Genetic differentiation and diversity of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant in its early outbreak显示文摘The recently emerged Omicron variant of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS‐CoV‐2)has quickly spread around the world.Although many consensus mutations of the Omicron variant have been recognized,little is known about its genetic variation during its transmission in the population.Here,we comprehensively analyzed the genetic differentiation and diversity of the Omicron variant during its early outbreak.We found that Omicron achieved more structural variations,especially deletions,on the SARS‐CoV‐2 genome than the other four variants of concern(Alpha,Beta,Gamma,and Delta)in the same timescale.In addition,the Omicron variant acquired,except for 50 consensus mutations,seven great new non‐synonymous nucleotide substitutions during its spread.Three of them are on the S protein,including S_A701V,S_L1081V,and S_R346K,which belong to the receptor‐binding domain(RBD).The Omicron BA.1 branch could be divided into five divergent groups spreading across different countries and regions based on these seven novel mutations.Furthermore,we found that the Omicron variant possesses more mutations related to a faster transmission rate than the other SARS‐CoV‐2 variants by assessing the relationship between the genetic diversity and transmission rate.The findings indicated that more attention should be paid to the significant genetic differentiation and diversity of the Omicron variant for better disease prevention and control. | Shenghui Weng Jingzhe Shang Yexiao Cheng Hangyu Zhou Chengyang Ji Rong Yang Aiping Wu | 2022 | Biosafety and Health2022,4,3: | 0 |
