1A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. 3Modeling of reliability and performance assessment of a dissimilar redundancy actuation system with failure monitoring显示文摘Actuation system is a vital system in an aircraft,providing the force necessary to move flight control surfaces.The system has a significant influence on the overall aircraft performance and its safety.In order to further increase already high reliability and safety,Airbus has implemented a dissimilar redundancy actuation system(DRAS) in its aircraft.The DRAS consists of a hydraulic actuation system(HAS) and an electro-hydrostatic actuation system(EHAS),in which the HAS utilizes a hydraulic source(HS) to move the control surface and the EHAS utilizes an electrical supply(ES) to provide the motion force.This paper focuses on the performance degradation processes and fault monitoring strategies of the DRAS,establishes its reliability model based on the generalized stochastic Petri nets(GSPN),and carries out a reliability assessment considering the fault monitoring coverage rate and the false alarm rate.The results indicate that the proposed reliability model of the DRAS,considering the fault monitoring,can express its fault logical relation and redundancy degradation process and identify potential safety hazards.Wang Shaoping Cui Xiaoyu Shi Jian Mileta M.Tomovic Jiao Zongxia 2016Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,3:10
4Regulating Zn Deposition via an Artificial Solid–Electrolyte Interface with Aligned Dipoles for Long Life Zn Anode显示文摘Aqueous zinc ion batteries show prospects for next-generation renewable energy storage devices.However,the practical applications have been limited by the issues derived from Zn anode.As one of serious problems,Zn dendrite growth caused from the uncontrollable Zn deposition is unfavorable.Herein,with the aim to regulate Zn deposition,an artificial solid–electrolyte interface is subtly engineered with a perovskite type material,BaTiO3,which can be polarized,and its polarization could be switched under the external electric field.Resulting from the aligned dipole in BaTiO3 layer,zinc ions could move in order during cycling process.Regulated Zn migration at the anode/electrolyte interface contributes to the even Zn stripping/plating and confined Zn dendrite growth.As a result,the reversible Zn plating/stripping processes for over 2000 h have been achieved at 1 mA cm^(−2) with capacity of 1 mAh cm−2.Furthermore,this anode endowing the electric dipoles shows enhanced cycling stability for aqueous Zn-MnO2 batteries.The battery can deliver nearly 100%Coulombic efficiency at 2 Ag^(−1) after 300 cycles.Kai Wu Jin Yi Xiaoyu Liu Yang Sun Jin Cui Yihua Xie Yuyu Liu Yongyao Xia Jiujun Zhang 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,5:8
5Comparative genomic and transcriptomic analyses uncover the molecular basis of high nitrogen-use efficiency in the wheat cultivar Kenong 9204显示文摘Studying the regulatory mechanisms that drive nitrogen-use efficiency(NUE)in crops is important for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.In this study,we generated a high-quality genome assembly for the high-NUE wheat cultivar Kenong 9204 and systematically analyzed genes related to nitrogen uptake and metabolism.By comparative analyses,we found that the high-affinity nitrate transporter gene family had expanded in Triticeae.Further studies showed that subsequent functional differentiation endowed the expanded family members with saline inducibility,providing a genetic basis for improving the adaptability of wheat to nitrogen deficiency in various habitats.To explore the genetic and molecular mechanisms of high NUE,we compared genomic and transcriptomic data from the high-NUE cultivar Kenong 9204(KN9204)and the low-NUE cultivar Jing 411 and quantified their nitrogen accumulation under high-and low-nitrogen conditions.Compared with Jing 411,KN9204 absorbed significantly more nitrogen at the reproductive stage after shooting and accumulated it in the shoots and seeds.Transcriptome data analysis revealed that nitrogen deficiency clearly suppressed the expression of genes related to cell division in the young spike of Jing 411,whereas this suppression of gene expression was much lower in KN9204.In addition,KN9204 maintained relatively high expression of NPF genes for a longer time than Jing 411 during seed maturity.Physiological and transcriptome data revealed that KN9204 was more tolerant of nitrogen deficiency than Jing 411,especially at the reproductive stage.The high NUE of KN9204 is an integrated effect controlled at different levels.Taken together,our data provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of NUE and important gene resources for improving wheat cultivars with a higher NUE trait.Xiaoli Shi Fa Cui Xinyin Han Yilin He Long Zhao Na Zhang Hao Zhang Haidong Zhu Zhexin Liu Bin Ma Shusong Zheng Wei Zhang Jiajia Liu Xiaoli Fan Yaoqi Si Shuiquan Tian Jianqing Niu Huilan Wu Xuemei Liu Zhuo Chen Deyuan Meng Xiaoyan Wang Liqiang Song Lijing Sun Jie Han Hui Zhao Jun Ji Zhiguo Wang Xiaoyu He Ruilin Li Xuebin Chi Chengzhi Liang Beifang Niu Jun Xiao Junming Li Hong-Qing Ling 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,9:6
6High-temperature Phase Transition and the Activity of Tobermorite显示文摘The high-temperature phase transition of tobermorite was investigated by TGA/DSC, X-ray diffraction and Infrared spectroscopy(IR), respectively. The experimental results showed that Si-OH bonds were cleaved at 724 ℃ and dehydroxylation occured at the same time, implying that the crystal structure of tobermorite was broken. As a result, the dehydroxylation tobermorite was metastable state, exhibiting obviously hydrolysis activity. The suspension was alkaline and Ca2+ ions content reached a maximum value 4.76% after heat treatment at 724 ℃. The dehydroxylation tobermorite had potential reactive activity due to the strong hydrolysis activity. The disordered structure recombined to wollastonite, and the crystal structure became ordering and stable at 861 ℃. 8Lotus seedpod-inspired internal vascularized 3D printed scaffold for bone tissue repair显示文摘In the field of bone defect repair,3D printed scaffolds have the characteristics of personalized customization and accurate internal structure.However,how to construct a well-structured vascular network quickly and effectively inside the scaffold is essential for bone repair after transplantation.Herein,inspired by the unique biological structure of“lotus seedpod”,hydrogel microspheres encapsulating deferoxamine(DFO)liposomes were prepared through microfluidic technology as“lotus seeds”,and skillfully combined with a three-dimensional(3D)printed bioceramic scaffold with biomimetic“lotus”biological structure which can internally grow blood vessels.In this composite scaffold system,DFO was effectively released by 36%in the first 6 h,which was conducive to promote the growth of blood vessels inside the scaffold quickly.In the following 7 days,the release rate of DFO reached 69%,which was fundamental in the formation of blood vessels inside the scaffold as well as osteogenic differentiation of bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).It was confirmed that the composite scaffold could significantly promote the human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)to form the vascular morphology within 6 h in vitro.In vivo,the composite scaffold increased the expression of vascularization and osteogenic related proteins Hif1-α,CD31,OPN,and OCN in the rat femoral defect model,significantly cutting down the time of bone repair.To sum up,this“lotus seedpod”inspired porous bioceramic 3D printed scaffold with internal vascularization functionality has broad application prospects in the future.Xiaoyu Han Mingjie Sun Bo Chen Qimanguli Saiding Junyue Zhang Hongliang Song Lianfu Deng Peng Wang Weiming Gong Wenguo Cui 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:4
9Nano-bio interactions: the implication of size-dependent biological effects of nanomaterials显示文摘Due to their many advantageous properties,nanomaterials(NMs)have been utilized in diverse consumer goods,industrial products,and for therapeutic purposes.This situation leads to a constant risk of exposure and uptake by the human body,which are highly dependent on nanomaterial size.Consequently,an improved understanding of the interactions between different sizes of nanomaterials and biological systems is needed to design safer and more clinically relevant nano systems.We discuss the sizedependent effects of nanomaterials in living organisms.Upon entry into biological systems,nanomaterials can translocate biological barriers,distribute to various tissues and elicit different toxic effects on organs,based on their size and location.The association of nanomaterial size with physiological structures within organs determines the site of accumulation of nanoparticles.In general,nanomaterials smaller than 20 nm tend to accumulate in the kidney while nanomaterials between 20 and 100 nm preferentially deposit in the liver.After accumulating in organs,nanomaterials can induce inflammation,damage structural integrity and ultimately result in organ dysfunction,which helps better understand the size-dependent dynamic processes and toxicity of nanomaterials in organisms.The enhanced permeability and retention effect of nanomaterials and the utility of this phenomenon in tumor therapy are also highlighted.Xiaoyu Wang Xuejing Cui Yuliang Zhao Chunying Chen 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,8:4
10A Private User Data Protection Mechanism in TrustZone Architecture Based on Identity Authentication显示文摘In Trust Zone architecture, the Trusted Application(TA) in the secure world does not certify the identity of Client Applications(CA) in the normal world that request data access, which represents a user data leakage risk. This paper proposes a private user data protection mechanism in Trust Zone to avoid such risks. We add corresponding modules to both the secure world and the normal world and authenticate the identity of CA to prevent illegal access to private user data. Then we analyze the system security, and perform validity and performance tests.The results show that this method can perform effective identity recognition and control of CA to protect the security of private user data. 11Efficacy of moxibustion by stimulating acupoints of Danzhong(CV 17) and Ganshu(BL 18) on hyperplasia of mammary gland in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of moxibustion, through stimulating acupoints of Danzhong(CV 17) and Ganshu(BL 18) in rats with hyperplasia of mammary gland(HMG) which induced by estrogen and progestogen.METHODS: Thirty female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into saline control group,HMG model group, and HMG moxibustion group with 10 in each group. Saline control was the group injected by saline. HMG model were created by injection of estrogen and progestogen. Moxibustion group was also injected of estrogen and progesto-gen with moxibustion at the same time. The Changes of nipple diameter and height were measured.The rats' skin temperature was recorded by an infrared thermal camera at the nipples, mammary areas,Danzhong(CV 17) and Ganshu(BL 18). Pathological changes of mammary gland in rats were also observed under light microscope.RESULTS: The diameter and height of the nipples in model group were prominently bigger and higher than that in control group(P < 0.01). The diameter and height in moxibustion group were prominently smaller and lower than that in model group(P < 0.01), and there was no significant difference between moxibustion group and control group.Compared with control group, skin temperature of the nipples, mammary area, and acupoints Danzhong(CV 17) and Ganshu(BL 18) decreased prominently in model group(P < 0.01-0.05). Compared with model group, skin temperature of that in moxibustion group increased prominently(P <0.05).CONCLUSION: Treatment with moxibustion can effectively decrease the HMG rats' nipple diameter and height, and increase the skin temperature in HMG model rats at the nipples, mammary areas,Danzhong(CV 17) and Ganshu(BL 18). 13Corilagin inhibits SARS-CoV-2 replication by targeting viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2) has become one major threat to human population health.The RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(RdRp) presents an ideal target of antivirals,whereas nucleoside analogs inhibitor is hindered by the proofreading activity of coronavirus.Herein,we report that corilagin(RAI-S-37) as a non-nucleoside inhibitor of SARS-CoV-2 RdRp,binds directly to RdRp,effectively inhibits the polymerase activity in both cell-free and cell-based assays,fully resists the proofreading activity and potently inhibits SARS-CoV-2 infection with a low 50% effective concentration(EC50) value of 0.13 μmol/L.Computation modeling predicts that RAI-S-37 lands at the palm domain of RdRp and prevents conformational changes required for nucleotide incorporation by RdRp.In addition,combination of RAI-S-37 with remdesivir exhibits additive activity against antiSARS-CoV-2 RdRp.Together with the current data available on the safety and pharmacokinetics of corilagin as a medicinal herbal agent,these results demonstrate the potential of being developed into one of the much-needed SARS-CoV-2 therapeutics.Quanjie Li Dongrong Yi Xiaobo Lei Jianyuan Zhao Yongxin Zhang Xiangling Cui Xia Xiao Tao Jiao Xiaojing Dong Xuesen Zhao Hui Zeng Chen Liang Lili Ren Fei Guo Xiaoyu Li Jianwei Wang Shan Cen 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,6:2
14A variable importance criterion for variable selection in near-infrared spectral analysis显示文摘Variable selection is a universal problem in building multivariate calibration models, such as quantitative structure-activity relationship(QSAR) and quantitative relationships between quantity or property and spectral data. Significant improvement in the prediction ability of the models can be achieved by reducing the bias induced by the uninformative variables. A new criterion,named as C, is proposed in this study to evaluate the importance of the variables in a model. The value of C is defined as the average contribution of a variable to the model, which is calculated by the statistics of the models built with different combinations of the variables. In the calculation, a large number of partial least squares(PLS) models are built using a subset of variables selected by randomly re-sampling. Then, a vector of the prediction errors, in terms of root mean squared error of cross validation(RMSECV), and a matrix composed of 1 and 0 indicating the selected and unselected variables can be obtained. If multiple linear regression(MLR) is employed to model the relationship between the RMSECVs and the matrix, the coefficients of the MLR model can be used as a criterion to evaluate the contribution of a variable to the RMSECV. To enhance the efficiency of the method, a multi-step shrinkage strategy was used. Comparison with Monte Carlo-uninformative variables elimination(MC-UVE), randomization test(RT) and competitive adaptive reweighted sampling(CARS) was conducted using three NIR benchmark datasets. 15A spontaneous thermo-sensitive female sterility mutation in rice enables fully mechanized hybrid breeding显示文摘Male sterility enables hybrid crop breeding to increase yields and has been extensively studied. But thermo-sensitive female sterility, which is an ideal property that may enable full mechanization in hybrid rice breeding, has rarely been investigated due to the absence of such germplasm. Here we identify the spontaneous thermo-sensitive female sterility 1 (tfs1) mutation that confers complete sterility under regular/high temperature and partial fertility under low temperature as a point mutation in ARGONAUTE7 (AGO7). AGO7 associates with miR390 to form an RNA-Induced Silencing Complex (RISC), which triggers the biogenesis of small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) from TRANS-ACTING3 (TAS3) loci by recruiting SUPPRESSOR OF GENE SILENCING (SGS3) and RNA-DEPENDENT RNA POLYMERASE6 (RDR6) to TAS3 transcripts. These siRNAs are known as tasiR-ARFs as they act in trans to repress auxin response factor genes. The mutant TFS1 (mTFS1) protein is compromised in its ability to load the miR390/miR390* duplex and eject miR390* during RISC formation. Furthermore, tasiR-ARF levels are reduced in tfs1 due to the deficiency in RDR6 but not SGS3 recruitment by mTFS1 RISC under regular/high temperature, while low temperature partially restores mTFS1 function in RDR6 recruitment and tasiR-ARF biogenesis. A miR390 mutant also exhibits female sterility, suggesting that female fertility is controlled by the miR390-AGO7 module. Notably, the tfs1 allele introduced into various elite rice cultivars endows thermo-sensitive female sterility. 16Low-depth whole genome sequencing reveals copy number variations associated with higher pathologic grading and more aggressive subtypes of lung non-mucinous adenocarcinoma显示文摘Objective:Histology grade,subtypes and TNM stage of lung adenocarcinomas are useful predictors of prognosis and survival.The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between chromosomal instability,morphological subtypes and the grading system used in lung non-mucinous adenocarcinoma(LNMA).Methods:We developed a whole genome copy number variation(WGCNV)scoring system and applied next generation sequencing to evaluate CNVs present in 91 LNMA tumor samples.Results:Higher histological grades,aggressive subtypes and more advanced TNM staging were associated with an increased WGCNV score,particularly in CNV regions enriched for tumor suppressor genes and oncogenes.In addition,we demonstrate that 24-chromosome CNV profiling can be performed reliably from specific cell types(<100 cells)isolated by sample laser capture microdissection.Conclusions:Our findings suggest that the WGCNV scoring system we developed may have potential value as an adjunct test for predicting the prognosis of patients diagnosed with LNMA.Zheng Wang Lin Zhang Lei He Di Cui Chenglong Liu Liangyu Yin Min Zhang Lei Jiang Yuyan Gong Wang Wu Bi Liu Xiaoyu Li David S Cram Dongge Liu 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,3:1
17Restored intestinal integrity,nutrients transporters,energy metabolism,antioxidative capacity and decreased harmful microbiota were associated with IUGR piglet's catch-up growth before weanling显示文摘Background:Intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR)is a major inducer of higher morbidity and mortality in the pig industry and catch-up growth(CUG)before weanling could significantly restore this negative influence.But there was limited knowledge about the underlying mechanism of CUG occurrence.Methods:Eighty litters of newborn piglets were divided into normal birth weight(NBW)and IUGR groups according to birth weight.At 26 d,those piglets with IUGR but over average body weight of eighty litters of weaned piglets were considered as CUG,and the piglets with IUGR still below average body weight were considered as NCUG.This study was conducted to systemically compare the intestinal difference among NBW,CUG and NCUG weaned piglets considering the crucial role of the intestine for piglet growth.Results:The results indicated that the m RNA expression of nutrients(amino acids,glucose,and fatty acids)transporters,and mitochondrial electron transport chain(ETC)I were upregulated in CUG piglets'gut with improved morphology compared with those NCUG,as well as the ratio of P-AMPK/AMPK protein expression which is the indicator of energy metabolism.Meanwhile,CUG piglet's gut showed higher antioxidative capacity with increased SOD and GSHPx activity,decreased MDA levels,as well as higher m RNA expressions of Nrf2,Keap1,SOD,and GSH-Px.Furthermore,inflammatory parameters including TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,and IL-12 factors,and the activation of MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways were significantly elevated in the NCUG intestine,while the protein expression of ZO-1,Occludin and Claudin-1 was reduced.The alpha diversity of fecal microbiota was higher in CUG piglets in contrast with NCUG piglets,and the increased beneficial bacteria and decreased pathogenic bacteria was also observed in CUG piglets.Conclusions:CUG piglet's intestine showed comprehensive restoration including higher nutrients transport,energy metabolism,antioxidant capacity,and intestinal physical barrier,while lower oxidative stress,inflammatory response,and pathogenic microbiota.Chang Cui Caichi Wu Jun Wang Ziwei Ma Xiaoyu Zheng Pengwei Zhu Nuan Wang Yuhua Zhu Wutai Guan Fang Chen 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1:1

19Human mobility data in the COVID-19 pandemic:characteristics,applications,and challenges显示文摘The COVID-19 pandemic poses unprecedented challenges around the world.Many studies have applied mobility data to explore spatiotemporal trends over time,investigate associations with other variables,and predict or simulate the spread of COVID-19.Our objective was to provide a comprehensive overview of human mobility open data to guide researchers and policymakers in conducting data-driven evaluations and decision-making for the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious disease outbreaks.We summarized the mobility data usage in COVID-19 studies by reviewing recent publications on COVID-19 and human mobility from a data-oriented perspective.We identified three major sources of mobility data:public transit systems,mobile operators,and mobile phone applications.Four approaches have been commonly used to estimate human mobility:public transit-based flow,social activity patterns,index-based mobility data,and social media-derived mobility data.We compared mobility datasets’characteristics by assessing data privacy,quality,space–time coverage,high-performance data storage and processing,and accessibility.We also present challenges and future directions of using mobility data.This review makes a pivotal contribution to understanding the use of and access to human mobility data in the COVID-19 pandemic and future disease outbreaks.Tao Hu Siqin Wang Bing She Mengxi Zhang Xiao Huang Yunhe Cui Jacob Khuri Yaxin Hu Xiaokang Fu Xiaoyue Wang Peixiao Wang Xinyan Zhu Shuming Bao Wendy Guan Zhenlong Li 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,9:1
20An energy-based coupling degradation propagation model and its application to aviation actuation system显示文摘The degradation of components in complex mechatronic systems involves multiple physical processes which will cause coupling interactions among nodes in the system.The interaction of nodes may be carried out not only by physical connections but also by the environment which cannot be described by single network using the traditional methods.In order to give out a unified model to quantitatively describe the coupling degradation spreading by both physical connections and environment,a novel Energy-Flow-Field Network(EFFN)and a coupling degradation model based on EFFN are proposed in this paper.The EFFN is driven by energy flow and the state transition of spatially related nodes is triggered by the dissipation energy.An application is conducted on aviation actuation system in which the degradation spreading by fluid-thermal-solid interaction is considered.The degradation path and the most probable fault reason can be obtained by combining the state transition and energy output of nodes,which is consistent with the given scenario.Tongyang LI Shaoping WANG Jian SHI Enrico ZIO Xiaoyu CUI 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,4:1
