1Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation for treatment of spinal cord injury An in vivo magnetic resonance imaging tracking study显示文摘Non-invasive tracing in vivo can be used to observe the migration and distribution of grafted stem cells,and can provide experimental evidence for treatment.This study utilized adenovirus-carrying enhanced green fluorescent protein(AD5/F35-eGFP) and superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO)-labeled bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).BMSCs,double-labeled by AD5/F35-eGFP and SPIO,were transplanted into rats with spinal cord injury via the subarachnoid space.MRI tracing results demonstrated that BMSCs migrated to the injured spinal cord over time(T2 hypointensity signals).This result was verified by immunofluorescence.These results indicate that MRI can be utilized to trace in vivo the SPIO-labeled BMSCs after grafting.Yu Liu Boai Zhang Yi Song Yubin Deng Yanjie Jia Qiyong Gong 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,13:14
2Drift and deposition of pesticide applied by UAV on pineapple plants under different meteorological conditions显示文摘Spray drift has always been a focus research area in the field of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)application.Under the fixed premises of UAV operating parameters,such as height,speed and spraying liquid,the droplet drift is mainly affected by meteorological conditions.In this research,the spray drift and deposition tests were conducted using a QuanFeng120 UAV in a pineapple field under various different meteorological conditions.The experimental results showed that with the changes of UAV operating height and wind speed,the start position of the in-swath deposition area changed 4 m in the extreme situation.The percentage of the total spray drift was from 15.42%to 55.76%.The position of cumulative spray drift that accounted for 90%of the total spray drift was from 3.70 m to 46.50 m relative to the flight line.According to the downwind spray drift curve,the nonlinear equations of the same type under the four operating conditions of the UAV were fitted.The spray drift and the deposition of UAV application were significantly affected by different meteorological conditions and UAV operating heights.The results could provide a theoretical basis for UAV spraying in pineapple plants and support for spray drift control and prediction.Juan Wang Yubin Lan Huihui Zhang Yali Zhang Sheng Wen Weixiang Yao Jiajian Deng 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6:10
3Energy Efficient Access Point Selection and Signal Projection for Accurate Indoor Positioning显示文摘We propose a method to improve positioning accuracy while reducing energy consumption in an indoor Wireless Local Area Network(WLAN) environment.First,we intelligently and jointly select the subset of Access Points(APs) used in positioning via Maximum Mutual Information(MMI) criterion.Second,we propose Orthogonal Locality Preserving Projection(OLPP) to reduce the redundancy among selected APs.OLPP effectively extracts the intrinsic location features in situations where previous linear signal projection techniques failed to do,while maintaining computational efficiency.Third,we show that the combination of AP selection and OLPP simultaneously exploits their complementary advantages while avoiding the drawbacks.Experimental results indicate that,compared with the widely used weighted K-nearest neighbor and maximum likelihood estimation method,the proposed method leads to 21.8%(0.49 m) positioning accuracy improvement,while decreasing the computation cost by 65.4%.Deng Zhian Xu Yubin Ma Lin 2012China Communications2012,9,2:4
4Improvement of learning and memory abilities and motor function in rats with cerebral infarction by intracerebral transplantation of neuron-like cells derived from bone marrow stromal cells显示文摘BACKGROUND: Transplantation of fetal cell suspension or blocks of fetal tissue can ameliorate the nerve function after the injury or disease in the central nervous system, and it has been used to treat neurodegenerative disorders induced by Parkinson disease. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of the transplantation of neuron-like cells derived from bone marrow stromal cells (rMSCs) into the brain in restoring the dysfunctions of muscle strength and balance as well as learning and memory in rat models of cerebral infarction. DESIGN: A randomized controlled experiment. SETTING: Department of Pathophysiology, Zhongshan Medical College of Sun Yat-sen University. MATERIALS: Twenty-four male SD rats (3-4 weeks of age, weighing 200-220 g) were used (Certification number:2001A027). METHODS: The experiments were carried out in Zhongshan Medical College of Sun Yat-sen University between December 2003 and December 2004. ① Twenty-four male SD rats randomized into three groups with 8 rats in each: experimental group, control group and sham-operated group. Rats in the experiment al group and control group were induced into models of middle cerebral artery occlusion. After in vitro cultured, purified and identified with digestion, the Fischer344 rMSCs were induced to differentiate by tanshinone ⅡA, which was locally injected into the striate cortex (18 area) of rats in the experimental group, and the rats in the control group were injected by L-DMEM basic culture media (without serum) of the same volume to the corresponding brain area. In the sham-operated group, only muscle and vessel of neck were separated. ② At 2 and 8 weeks after the transplantation, the rats were given the screen test, prehensile-traction test, balance beam test and Morris water-maze test. ③ The survival and distribution of the induced cells in corresponding brain area were observed with Nissl stained with toluidine blue and hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining in the groups. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Results of the behavioral tests (time of the Morris water-maze test screen test, prehensile-traction test, balance beam test); ② Survival and distribution of the induced cells. RESULTS: All the 24 rats were involved in the analysis of results. ① Two weeks after transplantation, rats with neuron-like cells grafts in the experimental group had significant improvement on their general muscle strength than those in the control group [screen test: (9.4±1.7), (4.7±1.0) s, P < 0.01]; forelimb muscle strength [prehensile-traction test: (7.6±1.4), (5.2±1.2) s, P < 0.01], ability to keep balance [balance beam test: (7.9±0.74), (6.1±0.91) s, P < 0.01] and abilities of learning and memory [latency to find the platform: (35.8±5.9), (117.5±11.6) s, P < 0.01; distance: (623.1±43.4), (1 902.3±98.6) cm, P < 0.01] as compared with those in the control group. The functional performances in the experimental group at 8 weeks were better than those at two weeks, which were still obviously different from those in the sham-operated group (P < 0.05). ② The HE and Nissl stained brain tissue section showed that there was nerve cell proliferation at the infarcted cortex in the experiment group, the density was higher than that in the control group, plenty of aggregative or scattered cells could be observed at the site where needle was inserted for transplantation, the cells migrated directively towards the area around them, the cerebral vascular walls were wrapped by plenty of cells; In the control group, most of the cortices were destroyed, karyopyknosis and necrosis of neurons were observed, normal nervous tissue structure disappeared induced by edema, only some nerve fibers and glial cells remained. 5HIF-1-modified BMSCs improve migration and reduce neuronal apoptosis after stroke in rats显示文摘Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)have been demonstrated ameliorating neurologic deficits after stroke.Hypoxia-inducible factor-1(HIF-1),the key regulator of cellular responses to low oxygen concentration,can activate multiple genes involving in crucial aspects for neurologic recovery.In this study,we present that rat BMSCs overexpression of HIF-1showed higher expression of HIF-1 target genes in HIF-1-BMSCs,including CXCR4,EPO,and VEGF.BMSCs-mHIF-1 also exhibited an enhanced mobility towards the ischemic area within rat brain.Neural cell apoptosis in ischemic brain shown less severe in rats transplanted with HIF-1-BMSCs.Furthermore,the number of cells expressing neural progenitor markers PAX6 and DCX were increased in BMSCs-mHIF-1-transplanted rats.These results suggest that HIF-1 in BMSCs reduces neuronal apoptosis and promotes neurogenesis after stroke in rats.YE ZhiZhong YE WeiBiao DENG YuBin WANG Jue ZHOU GuangQian ZHANG XiuQuan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:3
6Induction-dependent neural marker expression and electrophysiological characteristics of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells that naturally express high levels of nestin显示文摘Under certain experimental conditions, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) express neuronal phenotypes and neuronal markers, which suggests that they could be used to treat various neurological diseases. In the present study, MSCs were isolated from adult rat bone marrow, cultivated, and evaluated for neurotrophin expression profiles, as well as the potential to differentiate into functional neuronal-like cells in vitro. MSCs from passage 5 were pre-induced with DMEM/F12 medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) and 10 ng/mL bFGF (fibroblast growth factor-2). Subsequently, a chemical inductor containing Di-methyl Sulphoxide (DMSO), Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA) and forskolin were used to induce neural expression of MSCs. Expression patterns of nestin, NF-200, and GFAP at time points before and after induction were detected by immunofluorescence. Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expressions in MSCs were evaluated by RT-PCR. The whole-cell patch clamp technique was utilized to elucidate the electrical behavior of MSC before and after 24-h differentia-tion induction. Immunofluorescence analysis revealed that MSCs expressed nestin (57.1% ± 6.9%), but not NF-200 or GFAP. Following neural induction, the cells exhibited a neuronal-like appearance. Nestin and NF-200 expression was positive in the neuronal-like cells, but GFAP expression was negative. After 6-, 12-and 24-h induction, the ratio of nestin-positive cells was 96.5% ± 1.9%, 88.1% ± 5.4%, and 33.5% ± 5.4%. NF-200 positive cells were 90.1% ± 2.9%, 97.5% ± 1.3%, and 98.1% ± 1.6%, respectively. However, prior to induction, MSCs already expressed NGF and BDNF. With a stimulus impulse of 40 mV, the den-sity of the transient outward K current was (9.95 ± 4.85) pA/pF (n = 9) and (328.50 ± 30.62) pA/pF (n = 9) before and after induc-tion, and the density of transient calcium ion currents was (–0.059 ± 0.027) pA/pF (n = 7) and (–6.66 ± 0.50) pA/pF (n = 7), re-spectively. Transient outward potassium currents and calcium ions currents gradually increased following induction. In addition, MSCs isolated from bone marrow exhibited characteristics of neuronal progenitor cells and expressed neurotrophins. These cells exhibited the capacity to differentiate into functional neuronal-like cells in vitro. 7Research advances of the drift reducing technologies in application of agricultural aviation spraying显示文摘With the gradual deterioration of the ecological environment and the increase in requirements for the quality of modern life,the use of pesticides is bound to develop towards higher pesticide utilization and less environmental pollution,and the low-volume spraying for agricultural aviation operation combined with the Drift Reducing Technologies(DRTs)may be a useful way to achieve this goal.Based on an analysis of the spray drift mechanism and the primary factors influencing aerial spraying,previous research on DRTs in aerial spraying were reviewed and summarized,and it was found that DRTs in aerial spraying can effectively reduce the environmental pollution caused by pesticide drift by reducing the spraying amount of pesticides and improving the control effect of pesticides,included aerial electrostatic spray technology,aerial spray adjuvant,aerial air-assisted spray technology,drift reducing nozzles and aerial variable-rate spray technology.And according to the analysis of the current research status,some suggestions and countermeasures to reduce droplet drift of agricultural aviation spraying were put forward from the aspects of strengthening the research on DRTs for plant protection Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)and adopting reasonable DRTs methods.It is hoped that provide reference and guidance for the enterprises’product improvement and users’practical operation,and play the advantages of precision agricultural aviation spraying fully.Shengde Chen Yubin Lan Zhiyan Zhou Xiaoling Deng Juan Wang 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,5:2
8Detection of citrus Huanglongbing based on image feature extraction and two-stage BPNN modeling显示文摘Citrus Huanglongbing(HLB),which is spread by the citrus psyllid,is the most destructive disease of citrus industry.While no effective cure for the disease has been reported,detection and removal of infected trees can prevent spreading.Symptoms indicative of HLB can be present in both HLB-positive trees and HLB-negative trees,making identification of infected trees difficult.A detection method for citrus HLB based on image feature extraction and two-stage back propagation neural network(BPNN)modeling was investigated in this research.The identification method for eight different classes including healthy,HLB and non-HLB symptoms was studied.Thirty-four statistical features including color and texture were extracted for each leaf sample,following the two-stage BPNN to model and identify HLB-positive leaves from HLB-negative leaves.The discrimination accuracy can reach approximately 92%which shows that this method based on visual image processing can perform well in detecting citrus HLB.Deng Xiaoling Yubin Lan Xing Xiaqiong Mei Huilan Liu Jiakai Hong Tiansheng 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,6:2

14Neuroprotective effects of salvianolic acid B on secondary spinal cord damage显示文摘Salvianolic acid B(Sal B),an effective ingredient of Danshen(salvia miltiorrhiza root),has been shown to exhibit anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory effects.The present study investigated whether Sal B has a neuroprotective effect on secondary spinal cord injury when administrated alone.In addition,the effects of Sal B on attenuating expression of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) following acute spinal cord injury were analyzed,as well as the effects of combined treatment of Sal B and etanercept.Immunohistochemical staining demonstrated that Sal B significantly reduced matrix metalloproteinase-1 and c-Fos expression at 24 hours after spinal cord injury,and decreased tissue edema was detected using the dry-wet weight method at 3 days after injury.In addition,Sal B significantly promoted recovery of motor function in rats.These effects were most significant at a dose of 20 mg/kg Sal B.At 24 hours after spinal cord injury,reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and western blot assay results showed that Sal B,etanercept,or the combination significantly suppressed increased TNF-α mRNA and protein expression,although the combination resulted in more significant outcomes.These results suggested that Sal B exerted neuroprotective effects against secondary spinal cord injury by reducing expression of matrix metalloproteinase-1,c-Fos,and TNF-α.Moreover,Sal B combined with etanercept resulted in more significant anti-inflammatory effects.Ye, Zhizhong Deng, Yubin Wu, Hongfu Gan, Danhui 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,3:1

18Detection of the foreign object positions in agricultural soils using Mask-RCNN显示文摘Objects in agricultural soils will seriously affect the farming operations of agricultural machinery.At present,it still relies on human experience to judge abnormal Gounrd-penetrting Radar(GPR)signals.It is difficult for traditional image processing technology to form a general positioning method for the randomness and diversity characteristics of GPR signals in soil.Although many scholars had researched a variety of image-processing techniques,most methods lack robustness.In this study,the deep learning algorithm Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Network(Mask-RCNN)and a geometric model were combined to improve the GPR positioning accuracy.First,a soil stratification experiment was set to classify the physical parameters of the soil and study the attenuation law of electromagnetic waves.Secondly,a SOIL-GPR geometric model was proposed,which can be combined with Mask-RCNN's MASK geometric size to predict object sizes.The results proved the effectiveness and accuracy of the model for position detection and evaluation of objects in soils;then,the improved Mask RCNN method was used to compare the feature extraction accuracy of U-Net and Fully Convolutional Networks(FCN);Finally,the operating speed of agricultural machinery was simulated and designed the A-B survey line experiment.The detection accuracy was evaluated by several indicators,such as the survey line direction,soil depth false alarm rate,Mean Average Precision(mAP),and Intersection over Union(IoU).The results showed that pixel-level segmentation and positioning based on Mask RCNN can improve the accuracy of the position detection of objects in agricultural soil effectively,and the average error of depth prediction is 2.87 cm.The results showed that the detection technology proposed in this study integrates the advantage of soil environmental parameters,geometric models,and artificial intelligence algorithms to provide a high-precision and technical solution for the GPR non-destructive detection of soils.Yuanhong Li Chaofeng Wang Congyue Wang Xiaoling Deng Zuoxi Zhao Shengde Chen Yubin Lan 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,1:0

20Eight Zhes Decoction ameliorates the lipid dysfunction of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease using integrated lipidomics, network pharmacology and pharmacokinetics显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has developed into the most common chronic liver disease and can lead to liver cancer.Our laboratory previously developed a novel prescription for NAFLD,“Eight Zhes Decoction”(EZD),which has shown good curative effects in clinical practice.However,the pharmacodynamic material basis and mechanism have not yet been revealed.A strategy integrating lipidomics,network pharmacology and pharmacokinetics was used to reveal the active components and mechanisms of EZD against NAFLD.The histopathological results showed that EZD attenuated the degrees of collagen deposition and steatosis in the livers of nonalcoholic steatofibrosis model mice.Furthermore,glycerophospholipid metabolism,arachidonic acid metabolism,glycerolipid metabolism and linoleic acid metabolism with phospholipase A2 group IVA(PLA2G4A)and cytochrome P450 as the core targets and 12,13-cis-epoxyoctadecenoic acid,12(S)-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid,leukotriene B4,prostaglandin E2,phosphatidylcholines(PCs)and triacylglycerols(TGs)as the main lipids were found to be involved in the treatment of NAFLD by EZD.Importantly,naringenin,artemetin,canadine,and bicuculline were identified as the active ingredients of EZD against NAFLD;in particular,naringenin reduces PC consumption by inhibiting the expression of PLA2G4A and thus promotes sufficient synthesis of very-low-density lipoprotein to transport excess TGs in the liver.This research provides valuable data and theoretical support for the application of EZD against NAFLD.Yuping Zhou Ze Dai Kaili Deng Yubin Wang Jiamin Ying Donghui Chu Jinyue Zhou Chunlan Tang 2023Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,9:0
