2Mining of a streptothricin gene cluster from Streptomyces sp.TP-A0356 genome via heterologous expression显示文摘Streptothricins (STs) are used commercially to treat bacterial and fungal diseases in agriculture. Mining of the sequenced microbial genomes uncovered two cryptic ST clusters from Streptomyces sp. C and Streptomyces sp. TP-A0356. The ST cluster from S. sp. TP-A0356 was verified by successful heterologous expression in Streptomyces coelicolor M145. Two new ST analogs were produced together with streptothricin F and streptothricin D in the heterologous host. The ST cluster was further confirmed by inactivation of gene stnO, which was proposed encoding an aminomutase supplying -lysines for the poly-β-Lys chain formation. 4Modeling of Refractive Index Sensing Using Au Aperture Arrays on a Bragg Fiber Facet显示文摘A finite-difference-time-domain(FDTD)approach is undertaken to investigate the extraordinary optical transmission(EOT)phenomenon of Au circular aperture arrays deposited on a Bragg fiber facet for refractive index(RI)sensing.Investigation shows that the choice of effective indices and modal loss of the Bragg fiber core modes will affect the sensitivity enhancement by using a mode analysis approach.The critical parameters of Bragg fiber including the middle dielectric RI,as well as its gap between dielectric layers,which affect the EOT and RI sensitivity for the sensor,are discussed and optimized.It is demonstrated that a better sensitivity of 156±5 nm per refractive index unit(RIU)and an averaged figure of merit exceeding 3.5 RIU‒1 are achieved when RI is 1.5 and gap is 0.02μm in this structure.Gongli XIAO Hongyan YANG 2019Photonic Sensors2019,9,4:1
5Optimal Selection and Control for Precipitation of α_2 Phase in Near α High Temperature Ti Alloys during Aging Treatment显示文摘The characteristic of the precipitation and growth of α2 ordered phase during aging treatment in near α Ti alloys have been investigated in terms of the influences of aging temperature, aging time and aging manner. The results exhibit that aging temperatures influence the distribution of α2 phase precipitated and cause the changes in growth speed of α2 phase. For various aging temperatures, the time to finish precipitation of α2 phase is different. The facts that various distribution characteristics and growth speed of α2 ordered phase are caused by changed aging condition imply optimal selection and control for precipitation of α2 ordered phase reachable. 6Design of sandwich acoustic window for sonar domes显示文摘Aimed at the low noise design of sonar dome in ships, a method has been presented for calculating the sonar self noise of a simplified sonar dome consisting of sandwich acoustic window and parallel acoustic cavity, which is excited by stationary random pressure fluctuation of turbulence boundary layer, using temporal and spatial double Fourier transform and wavenumber-frequency spectrum analysis. After numerically analyzing the influence of geometrical and physical parameters of acoustic window on the sonar self noise, the design method and reasonable parameters for sandwich acoustic window are proposed. The results show that the property of low noise induced by acoustic window of sandwich is dominated by the cut-off effect of longitudinal wave and transverse wave propagating in the visco-elastic layer of sandwich as well as the mismatch effect of impedance. If the thickness, density, Young's modulus and damping factor of plates and visco-elastic layer as well as the sound speed of longitudinal wave and transverse wave in the visco-elastic layer are selected reasonably, the maximum noise reduction of sandwich acoustic window is 6.5 dB greater than that of a single glass fiber reinforced plastic plate.YUMengsa LIDongsheng GONGLi XUJian 2005Chinese Journal of Acoustics2005,24,2:1

9A 2.09 Mb fragment translocation on chromosome 6 causes abnormalities during meiosis and leads to less seed watermelon显示文摘Seedlessness is a valuable agronomic trait in watermelon(Citrullus lanatus)breeding.Conventional less seed watermelons are mainly triploid,which has many disadvantages due to unbalanced genome content.Less seed watermelon can be achieved at the diploid level when certain reproductive genes are mutated or by chromosome translocation,which leads to defects during meiosis.However,the formation mechanism of diploid less seed watermelons remains largely unknown.Here,we identified a spontaneous mutant line,watermelon line“148”,which can set seeds normally when self-pollinated.A total of 148×JM F_(1) hybrid plants exhibited seed number reductions to 50.3%and 47.3%of those of the two parental lines,respectively,which are considered to be less seed.Examination of pollen viability and hybridization experiments revealed that F 1 hybrids produce semisterile pollen and ovules.Further cytological observations indicated that semisterility was a result of a reciprocal translocation of chromosomes,which exhibited one quadrivalent ring of four chromosomes at prometaphase I during meiosis.RT-qPCR analysis indirectly confirmed that the semisterile phenotype is caused by chromosome translocation rather than disruption of specific meiotic gene expression.F 2 population genetic analysis indicated that the“148”watermelon line is a homozygous translocation and that the less seed phenotype of the F_(1) hybrid is prompted by one chromosome fragment translocation.The translocated fragment was further fine mapped to a 2.09 Mb region on chromosome 6 by whole-genome resequencing and genetic map cloning procedures.Our work revealed that a 2.09Mb chromosome fragment translocation on chromosome 6,causing meiotic defects at metaphase I during meiosis,leads to diploid less seed watermelon.Our findings provide a new promising method for less seed watermelon breeding at the diploid level,as well as a fragment size reference for breeding less seed watermelon through artificially induced chromosome translocation.Shujuan Tian Jie Ge Gongli Ai Jiao Jiang Qiyan Liu Xiner Chen Man Liu Jianqiang Yang Xian Zhang Li Yuan 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1

12Creation of a watermelon haploid inducer line via ClDMP3-mediated single fertilization of the central cell显示文摘The use of doubled haploids is one of the most efficient breeding methods in modern agriculture.Irradiation of pollen grains has been shown to induce haploids in cucurbit crops,possibly because it causes preferential fertilization of the central cell over the egg cell.Disruption of the DMP gene is known to induce single fertilization of the central cell,which can lead to the formation of haploids.In the present study,a detailed method of creating a watermelon haploid inducer line via ClDMP3 mutation is described.The cldmp3 mutant induced haploids in multiple watermelon genotypes at rates of up to 1.12%.These haploids were confirmed via fluorescent markers,flow cytometry,molecular markers,and immuno-staining.The haploid inducer created by this method has the potential to greatly advance watermelon breeding in the future.Xiner Chen Yuxiu Li Gongli Ai Jinfan Chen Dalong Guo Zhonghou Zhu Xuejie Zhu Shujuan Tian Jiafa Wang Man Liu Li Yuan 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,6:0
13Band-gap tunable(Ga_(x)In_(1−x))_(2)O_(3)layer grown by magnetron sputtering显示文摘Multicomponent oxide(Ga_(x)In_(1−x))_(2)O_(3)films are prepared on(0001)sapphire substrates to realize a tunable band-gap by magnetron sputtering technology followed by thermal annealing.The optical properties and band structure evolution over the whole range of compositions in ternary compounds(Ga_(x)In_(1−x))_(2)O_(3)are investigated in detail.The X-ray diffraction spectra clearly indicate that(Ga_(x)In_(1−x))_(2)O_(3)films with Ga content varying from 0.11 to 0.55 have both cubic and monoclinic structures,and that for films with Ga content higher than 0.74,only the monoclinic structure appears.The transmittance of all films is greater than 86%in the visible range with sharp absorption edges and clear fringes.In addition,a blue shift of ultraviolet absorption edges from 380 to 250 nm is noted with increasing Ga content,indicating increasing band-gap energy from 3.61 to 4.64 eV.The experimental results lay a foundation for the application of transparent conductive compound(Ga_(x)In_(1−x))_(2)O_(3)thin films in photoelectric and photovoltaic industry,especially in display,light-emitting diode,and solar cell applications.Fabi ZHANG Jinyu SUN Haiou LI Juan ZHOU Rong WANG Tangyou SUN Tao FU Gongli XIAO Qi LI Xingpeng LIU Xiuyun ZHANG Daoyou GUO Xianghu WANG Zujun QIN 2021Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2021,22,10:0
14Fetal Phenotype and Prenatal Diagnosis of Kabuki Syndrome显示文摘Kabuki syndrome(MIM 147920)is an autosomal dominant rare disease featured with multiple malformations and mental retardation.The main clinical manifestations of Kabuki syndrome are characteristic facial features,skeletal abnormalities,dermatoglyphic abnormalities,postpartum growth retardation,mild to moderate mental retardation,as well as other structural and functional abnormalities that may involve multiple systems.The establishment of diagnosis needs to be combined with clinical phenotype and the discovery of pathogenic mutation.Compared with the abundant descriptions and records of genotype-phenotype of postpartum patients,few prenatal diagnosis cases of Kabuki syndrome had been reported,which partially result from lacking the knowledge of its phenotype in fetuses that might suggest the diagnosis.This report performed comprehensive prenatal examinations to identify a fetus's etiology with multiple structural anomalies characterized by ascites,thickening of local skin,and cardiac abnormalities.We ruled out intrauterine infection,thalassemia,and chromosome abnormality by corresponding tests.Finally,trio whole-exome sequencing revealed a de novo heterozygous variation c.15641g>A(p.r5214h)in exon 48 of the KMT2D gene was the fetus's genetic pathogeny causing Kabuki syndrome.This result suggests that Kabuki syndrome should be in the suspected etiology list for prenatal hydrops/ascites.Our study confirmed that prenatal whole-exome sequencing is an efficient tool for diagnosing fetal abnormalities,and a multidisciplinary team is necessary for providing pregnancy guidance to patients.Yan Pan Hong Yao Gongli Chen Qiong Tan Qing Chang Yongyi Ma Zhiqing Liang 2023Maternal-Fetal Medicine2023,5,3:0
