1Zea mays(L.) P1 locus for cob glume color identified as a post-domestication selection target with an effect on temperate maize genomes显示文摘Artificial selection during domestication and post-domestication improvement results in loss of genetic diversity near target loci. However, the genetic locus associated with cob glume color and the nature of the genomic pattern surrounding it was elusive and the selection effect in that region was not clear. An association mapping panel consisting of 283 diverse modern temperate maize elite lines was genotyped by a chip containing over 55,000 evenly distributed SNPs. Ten-fold resequencing at the target region on 40 of the panel lines and 47 tropical lines was also undertaken. A genome-wide association study(GWAS) for cob glume color confirmed the P1 locus, which is located on the short arm of chromosome 1, with a-log10 P value for surrounding SNPs higher than the Bonferroni threshold(α/n, α < 0.001) when a mixed linear model(MLM) was implemented. A total of 26 markers were identified in a 0.78 Mb region surrounding the P1 locus, including 0.73 Mb and 0.05 Mb upstream and downstream of the P1 gene, respectively. A clear linkage disequilibrium(LD) block was found and LD decayed very rapidly with increasing physical distance surrounding the P1 locus. The estimates of π and Tajima's D were significantly(P < 0.001) lower at both ends compared to the locus. Upon comparison of temperate and tropical lines at much finer resolution by resequencing(180-fold finer than chip SNPs), a more structured LD block pattern was found among the 40 resequenced temperate lines. All evidence indicates that the P1 locus in temperate maize has not undergone neutral evolution but has been subjected to artificial selection during post-domestication selection or improvement. 2RAPD tagging of a salt tolerant gene in rice显示文摘A salt tolerant rice mutant was obtained through tissue culture. The inheritance of salt tolerance in F2 population of mutant crossed with its original variety under salt stress was studied. According to the standard, the ratio of salt tolerant: sensitive was about 3:1 suggesting that there was a major gene related to salt tolerance in the mutant. By RAPD analysis with 220 10mer primers, the gene was tagged by a 1.0 kb DNA fragment named OPS1210 which was located on chromosome 7. 8Viscoplastic solutions of time-dependent deformation for tunnels in swelling rock mass considering stress release显示文摘Excavation and control of tunneling responses in swelling soft-rock tunnels of Sichuan-Tibet railway under seepage conditions were studied.For this,a fractional viscoplastic(FVP)model for swelling soft rocks was established by introducing Abel dashpot and unsteady viscosity coefficient,considering additional swelling deformation and damage of rock caused by humidity effect.In view of the FVP model,the viscoplastic deformation solutions for rock mass surrounding tunnel under seepage conditions were derived and long-term mechanical responses of swelling rocks upon tunnel excavation were analyzed.Next,a stress release coefficient considering seepage and creep was proposed,based on which control responses considering stress release and failure mechanism of stress release measures were analyzed.The results showed that:(i)The one-dimensional(1D)FVP model has a good application for swelling rock and the three-dimensional(3D)FVP model could well describe the whole creep process of rock mass despite a much higher creep attenuation rate in the first stage of creep;and(ii)An appropriate stress release and deformation of surrounding rocks could effectively reduce the supporting resistance.However,upon a large stress release,the radius of plastic region could increase significantly,and the strength of the surrounding rock mass decreases greatly.The proposed solution could provide a theoretical framework for capturing the excavation and support responses for tunneling in swelling rock mass in consideration of time effect.Gengyun Liu Youliang Chen HyonChol Rim Rafig Azzam 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,8:0

13Review of some Siobla(Hymenoptera:Tenthredinidae)species显示文摘Six Siobla species are revised,including the following new synonymies:S.rufoscapa Wei,2002,syn.nov.,synonymized by S.villosa Malaise,1931;S.tuberculatana Wei,2002,syn.nov.,synonymized by S.malaisei Mallach,1933 and Encarsioneura similis Mocsáry,1909,syn.nov.,synonymized by S.ruficornis(Gimmerthal,1834).S.frigida Mocsáry,1909,as the synonym of S.sturmii(Klug,1817)was recovered;Siobla plesia stat.nov.is regarded to be a valid species,rather than a subspecies of S.sturmii.Siobla iridipennis Malaise,1934 is redescribed based on the holotype,and a new species group,Siobla iridipennis group,is proposed.The characters of the group are briefly discussed.All illustrations of type specimens mentioned in this paper are provided.In addition,the lectotypes of Encarsioneura similis Mocsáry,1909,Encarsioneura frigida Mocsáry,1909,and Siobla sturmii plesia Malaise,1945 are designated here.Gengyun Niu Meicai Wei 2021Zoological Systematics2021,46,3:0
