1Intermedin/adrenomedullin2: an autocrine/paracrine factor in vascular homeostasis and disease显示文摘Intermedin(IMD)or adrenomedullin 2 is a novel peptide related to the calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)family.Via calcitonin receptor-like receptor/receptor activity modifying proteins,the common receptor complexes of CGRP,IMD exerts a wide range of biological effects,especially regulation of cardiovascular homeostasis.Proteolytic processing of a larger IMD precursor yields a series of biologically active C-terminal fragments,IMD1–53,IMD1–47 and IMD8–47.IMD and its receptors are present in the cardiovascular system,and IMD is present at low levels in plasma.In the cardiovascular system,IMD has multiple functions such as regulation of blood pressure and cardiac function,pro-angiogenesis,endothelial barrier function protection,anti-oxidative stress,and anti-endoplasmic reticulum stress.IMD participates widely in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis,hypertension,pulmonary arterial hypertension and vascular calcification.It is a vascular regulatory factor of homeostasis and a vital endogenous protective factor against vascular diseases.NI XianQiang ZHANG JinSheng TANG ChaoShu QI YongFen 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,8:14
2Interaction between en- dogenous nitric oxide and carbon monoxide in the pathogenesis of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension显示文摘The aim of the study was to investigate the in-teraction between nitric oxygenase (NOS)/ nitric oxide (NO) and heme oxygenase (HO)/ carbon monoxide (CO) system in the pathogenesis of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension. On a rat model of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension, the pulmo-nary artery pressure was measured, and NO formation and expression of NOS in pulmonary tissues were examined after treatment with ZnPP-IX, an HO-1 inhibitor. The pulmonary artery pressure, CO formation and expression of HO-1 in pulmonary tissues were examined after treatment with L-NAME, a NOS inhibitor. We found that pulmonary hy-pertension developed after 2-week hypoxia, while the con-centration of NO in the pulmonary tissue homogenates and the expression of NOS in intrapulmonary artery endothelial cells decreased markedly. ZnPP-IX worsened pulmonary hypertension of hypoxic rats. However, it increased endoge-nous production of NO and the expression of NOS obviously. The concentration of CO in the pulmonary tissue homoge-nates and the expression of HO-1 in intrapulmonary artery smooth muscle cells increased markedly with hypoxic pul-monary hypertension. L-NAME worsened pulmonary hy-pertension of hypoxic rats, but inhibited CO formation and HO-1 expression (P < 0.01). 3Autonomic Nervous Function in Vasovagal Syncope of Children and Adolescents显示文摘Syncope is defined as a transient loss of consciousness due to global cerebral hypoperfusion, accompanied by loss of muscle tone and failure to maintain an active position. Vasovagal syncope (VVS) is the most common presentation of syncope, and its diagnostic criteria include:(1) absence of any other evident etiology for syncope or presyncope,(2) positive response to head-up tilt test with evident vasovagal reaction (hypotension and/or bradycardia), and (3) no concomitant chronic or acute disease [1, 2]. The onset of VVS peaks initially in childhood and adolescence, and accounts for 60%–70% of all syncopal cases. Clinicians pay great attention to syncope among children and adolescents, due to its high prevalence and its impact on patients’ quality of life. Affected individuals often experience mental stress, economic burdens, and accidental bodily injuries related to syncope [2]. While the pathogenesis of VVS is not fully understood, autonomic nervous dysfunction has been identified as a contributing mechanism. 5Space-time clutter model for airborne bistatic radar with non-Gaussian statistics显示文摘To validate the potential space-time adaptive processing (STAP) algorithms for airborne bistatic radar clutter suppression under nonstationary and non-Gaussian clutter environments, a statistically non-Gaussian, space- time clutter model in varying bistatic geometrical scenarios is presented. The inclusive effects of the model contain the range dependency of bistatic clutter spectrum and clutter power variation in range-angle cells. To capture them, a new approach to coordinate system conversion is initiated into formulating bistatic geometrical model, and the bistatic non-Gaussian amplitude clutter representation method based on a compound model is introduced. The veracity of the geometrical model is validated by using the bistatic configuration parameters of multi-channel airborne radar measurement (MCARM) experiment. 6Catalytic performances of heteropoly compounds supported on dealuminated ultra-stable Y zeolite for liquid-phase esterification显示文摘A series of catalysts of 12-Phosphotungstic acid (PW) and its cesium salts immobilizedon dealuminated ultra-stable Y zeolite (DUSY) were prepared. Their specific surface area and acidstrength were characterized, and their catalytic activity, selectivity and stability were evaluated in theliquid-phase esterification of acetic acid with n-butanol. It was found that the catalytic activity could beimproved remarkably by introducing PW onto dealuminated USY (from 49.5% to 86.4%). Howeverthis obvious promotion effect of PW could not be observed on USY supported PW catalyst, whichshowed rather low conversion of less than 25.0%. The supported cesium salt of PW on DUSY catalysgave a very high conversion of n-butanol of 94.6% and the 100% selectivity for n-butyl acetate. Thecatalytic stability test revealed that after 5 reaction cycles, the catalytic activity over PW/DUSY drastically dropped to 47.6%, by contrast, the PW cesium salt/DUSY still showed a high conversion o81.6%. The leaching test for catalysts in water showed that the decrease of activity was closely associated with the solubility of the active heteropoly components on supports into the polar solvent, whichindicates that the catalytic deactivation was mainly due to the lose of the heteropoly species in thereaction medium. 11Hydrogen sulfide system in the pathogenesis of renovascular hypertension in rats显示文摘Objective To investigate the role of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) synthases / H2S pathway in the pathogenesis of renovascular hypertension. Methods Wistar rats were subdivided into 4 groups: (1) 2-kidney, 1-clip (2K-1C group, n=7), (2) control (n=7), (3) sham (n=7), and (4) 2K-1C plus sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) (NaHS-treated group, n=7). The systolic blood pressure (SBP) was measured by a tail-cuff method using a pulse transducer once a week. Four weeks later, all rats were killed and the concentration of plasma hydrogen sulfide (H2S), the activity of the H2S synthases in the kidneys on both sides, the plasma angiotensin Ⅱconcentration, and the left-to-whole heart weight ratio were measured. Results The SBP was significantly increased in the 2K-1C group (185.4±14.0mmHg) comparing with those in the sham group ( 112.9±6.5mmHg, , or the NaHS-treated group(134.8±9.5mmHg) (both P<0.01). At 4 weeks, the angiotensin Ⅱ concentration in the plasma was increased in the 2K-1C and NaHS-treated group, comparing with the control and the sham group (306.92±7.03 pg/ml and 240.73±13.22 pg/ml vs 122.6±25.49 pg/ml and 125.95±10.55 pg/ml, respectively, both P<0.05). The plasma H2S concentration and the activity of H2S synthases in the left kidney were decreased in the 2K-1C group comparing with those in the sham and the control groups. There was no difference of the activity of the H2S synthases in the right kidneys among the 4 groups. The left-to-whole heart weight ratio was increased in the 2K-1C and the NaHS-treated group camparing with that in the sham and natural control groups. Conclusions Dysfunction of the H2S synthases/H2S pathway was involved in the 2K-1C-induced renovascular hypertension in rat. Exogenous administration of H2S donor can attenuate the development of hypertension.
