1Zircon SHRIMP Dating for the Weiya Pluton, Eastern Tianshan: Its Geological Implications显示文摘The timing of the emplacement of the Weiya pluton remains controversial due to the absence of systematic and precise dating. This paper reports zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating of different lithologic phases in the Weiya pluton, and discusses the genesis and tectonic environment. The ages of gabbro, quartz syenite, diorite porphyrite and fine-grained granite are 236?6 Ma, 246?6 Ma, 233?8 Ma and 237?8 Ma, respectively. All these phases were formed in early-middle Indosinian (Triassic) in a post-orogenic environment. In addition to underplating, intraplating of mantle-derived magmas is also a substantial mechanism for magma generation and vertical accretion of the continental crust. Granitoid rocks are important products of vertical continental accretion as underplating evolves gradually to intraplating. 2Effect of exposure to ambient PM2.5 pollution on the risk of respiratory tract diseases: a meta-analysis of cohort studies显示文摘The International Agency for Research on Cancer and the World Health Organization have designated airborne particulates,including particulates of median aerodynamic diameter < 2.5um(PM_(2.5)),as Group 1 carcinogens.It has not been determined,however,whether exposure to ambient PM_(2.5) is associated with an increase in respiratory related diseases.This meta-analysis assessed the association between exposure to ambient fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)) and the risk of respiratory tract diseases,using relevant articles extracted from PubMed,Web of Science,and Embase.In results,of the 1,126 articles originally identified,35(3.1%) were included in this meta-analysis.PM_(2.5)was found to be associated with respiratory tract diseases.After subdivision by age group,respiratory tract disease,and continent,PM_(2.5) was strongly associated with respiratory tract diseases in children,in persons with cough,lower respiratory illness,and wheezing,and in individuals from North America,Europe,and Asia.The risk of respiratory tract diseases was greater for exposure to traffic-related than non-traffic-related air pollution.In children,the pooled relative risk(RR) represented significant increases in wheezing(8.2%),cough(7.5%),and lower respiratory illness(15.3%).The pooled RRs in children were 1.091(95%CI:1.049,1.135) for exposure to<25 μg/m^3 PM_(2.5),and 1.126(95%CI:1.067,1.190) for exposure to > 25 μg/m^3 PM_(2.5).In conclusion,exposure to ambient PM_(2.5) was significantly associated with the development of respiratory tract diseases,especially in children exposed to high concentrations of PM_(2.5).Qian Liu Cheng Xu Guixiang Ji Hui Liu Wentao Shao Chunlan Zhang Aihua Gu Peng Zhao 2017The Journal of Biomedical Research2017,31,2:16
3Physiological responses of osteoblasts to cyclic stretching and the change of intracellular calcium concentration显示文摘The development of bone tissues is regulated by mechanical stimulation. Cyclic stretching was applied to the osteoblasts that were delivered from rat calvarie. The results showed that stretching at 500 me increased the cell prolifera-tion while loading at 1000 me and 1500 me inhabited cell growth. Loading also increased the adhesive force between cells and substrate as well as spreading areas of osteobalsts. Furthermore, the fluorescence probe Fluo-3/AM was used to investigate the effect of stretching stimulation on the intra-cellular calcium concentration of osteoblasts. The intracellu-lar calcium concentration of osteoblasts that were stretched at 500 me for 5 min was 92.9% higher than the control. After being treated with the panax ontoginseng saponins, the stretched osteoblasts still expressed 28.6% higher intracellu-lar calcium concentration than that of the control, which proved that both the influx of extracellular calcium and the release of intracellular calcium store were involved in the increase of intracellular calcium concentration when os-teoblasts responded to the cyclic stretching. 4Functional Metabolomics Reveals that Astragalus Polysaccharides Improve Lipids Metabolism through Microbial Metabolite 2-Hydroxybutyric Acid in Obese Mice显示文摘Polysaccharides are widely present in herbs with multiple activities,especially immunity regulation and metabolic benefits for metabolic disorders.However,the underlying mechanisms are not well under-stood.Functional metabolomics is increasingly used to investigate systemic effects on the host by iden-tifying metabolites with particular functions.This study explores the mechanisms underlying the metabolic benefits of Astragalus polysaccharides(APS)by adopting a functional metabolomics strategy.The effects of APS were determined in eight-week high-fat diet(HFD)-fed obese mice.Then,gas chromatography–time-of-flight mass spectrometry(GC–TOFMS)-based untargeted metabolomics was performed for an analysis of serum and liver tissues,and liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrom-etry(LC–MS/MS)-based targeted metabolomics was performed.The potential functions of the metabo-lites were tested with in vitro and in vivo models of metabolic disorders.Our results first confirmed the metabolic benefits of APS in obese mice.Then,metabolomics analysis revealed that APS supplemen-tation reversed the HFD-induced metabolic changes,and identified 2-hydroxybutyric acid(2-HB)as a potential functional metabolite for APS activity that was significantly decreased by a HFD and reversed by APS.Further study indicated that 2-HB inhibited oleic acid(OA)-induced triglyceride(TG)accumula-tion.It was also found to stimulate the expression of proteins in lipid degradation in hepatocytes and TG lipolysis in 3T3-L1 cells.Moreover,it was found to reduce serum TG and regulate the proteins involved in lipid degradation in high-fat and high-sucrose(HFHS)-fed mice.In conclusion,our study demonstrates that the metabolic benefits of APS are at least partially due to 2-HB generation,which modulated lipid metabolism both in vitro and in vivo.Our results also highlight that functional metabolomics is practical for investigating the mechanism underlying the systemic benefits of plant polysaccharides.Bingbing Li Ying Hong Yu Gu Shengjie Ye Kaili Hu Jian Yao Kan Ding Aihua Zhao Wei Jia Houkai Li 2022Engineering2022,8,2:6

7Deep convolutional tree-inspired network:a decision-tree-structured neural network for hierarchical fault diagnosis of bearings显示文摘The fault diagnosis of bearings is crucial in ensuring the reliability of rotating machinery.Deep neural networks have provided unprecedented opportunities to condition monitoring from a new perspective due to the powerful ability in learning fault-related knowledge.However,the inexplicability and low generalization ability of fault diagnosis models still bar them from the application.To address this issue,this paper explores a decision-tree-structured neural network,that is,the deep convolutional tree-inspired network(DCTN),for the hierarchical fault diagnosis of bearings.The proposed model effectively integrates the advantages of convolutional neural network(CNN)and decision tree methods by rebuilding the output decision layer of CNN according to the hierarchical structural characteristics of the decision tree,which is by no means a simple combination of the two models.The proposed DCTN model has unique advantages in 1)the hierarchical structure that can support more accuracy and comprehensive fault diagnosis,2)the better interpretability of the model output with hierarchical decision making,and 3)more powerful generalization capabilities for the samples across fault severities.The multiclass fault diagnosis case and cross-severity fault diagnosis case are executed on a multicondition aeronautical bearing test rig.Experimental results can fully demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the proposed method.Xu WANG Hongyang GU Tianyang WANG Wei ZHANG Aihua LI Fulei CHU 2021Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2021,16,4:1

12Cathepsin B S-nitrosylation promotes ADAR1-mediated editing of its own mRNA transcript via an ADD1/MATR3 regulatory axis显示文摘Genetic information is generally transferred from RNA to protein according to the classic“Central Dogma”.Here,we made a striking discovery that post-translational modification of a protein specifically regulates the editing of its own mRNA.We show that S-nitrosylation of cathepsin B(CTSB)exclusively alters the adenosine-to-inosine(A-to-I)editing of its own mRNA.Mechanistically,CTSB S-nitrosylation promotes the dephosphorylation and nuclear translocation of ADD1,leading to the recruitment of MATR3 and ADAR1 to CTSB mRNA.ADAR1-mediated A-to-I RNA editing enables the binding of HuR to CTSB mRNA,resulting in increased CTSB mRNA stability and subsequently higher steady-state levels of CTSB protein.Together,we uncovered a unique feedforward mechanism of protein expression regulation mediated by the ADD1/MATR3/ADAR1 regulatory axis.Our study demonstrates a novel reverse flow of information from the post-translational modification of a protein back to the post-transcriptional regulation of its own mRNA precursor.We coined this process as“Protein-directed EDiting of its Own mRNA by ADAR1(PEDORA)”and suggest that this constitutes an additional layer of protein expression control.“PEDORA”could represent a currently hidden mechanism in eukaryotic gene expression regulation.Zhe Lin Shuang Zhao Xuesong Li Zian Miao Jiawei Cao Yurong Chen Zhiguang Shi Jia Zhang Dongjin Wang Shaoliang Chen Liansheng Wang Aihua Gu Feng Chen Tao Yang Kangyun Sun Yi Han Liping Xie Hongshan Chen Yong Ji 2023Cell Research2023,33,7:0

14Pressure transient analysis of multiple fractured horizontal wells in naturally fractured unconventional reservoirs based on fractal theory and fractional calculus显示文摘Currently,most models for multiple fractured horizontal wells(MFHWs)in naturally fractured unconventional reservoirs(NFURs)are based on classical Euclidean models which implicitly assume a uniform distribution of natural fractures and that all fractures are homogeneous.While fractal theory provides a powerful method to describe the disorder,heterogeneity,uncertainty and complexity of the NFURs.In this paper,a fractally fractional diffusion model(FFDM)for MFHWs in NFURs is established based on fractal theory and fractional calculus.Particularly,fractal theory is used to describe the heterogeneous,complex fracture network,with consideration of anomalous behavior of diffusion process in NFURs by employing fractional calculus.The Laplace transformation,line source function,dispersion method,and superposition principle are used to solve this new model.The pressure responses in the real time domain are obtained with Stehfest numerical inversion algorithms.The type curves of MFHW with three different outer boundaries are plotted.Sensitivity analysis of some related parameters are discussed as well.This new model provides the relatively more accurate and appropriate evaluation results for pressure transient analysis for MFHWs in NFURs,which could be applied to accurately interpret the real pressure data of an MFHW in field.Daihong Gu Daoquan Ding Zeli Gao Aihua Zhang Leng Tian Tianpeng Wu 2017Petroleum2017,3,3:0
15Stent-assisted coiling of intracranial carotid ophthalmic segment aneurysm segment aneurysms:Long-term follow-up from a single center显示文摘Background:To evaluate the efficacy of stent-assisted coiling(SAC)for the treatment of carotid ophthalmic segment aneurysm segment aneurysms(OSAs)of the internal carotid artery(ICA)through detailed long-term follow-up of a large patient cohort.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed 88 consecutive patients with OSAs between January 2009 and January 2020 at our center.Angiographic results were evaluated using the modified Raymond grading system and clinical outcomes were evaluated using the mRS scale.The primary endpoints were major aneurysm recurrence and poor clinical outcomes for at least 18 months of follow-up.The patients were asked to attend clinical follow-up assessments and possibly undergo DSA or MR via telephone.Results:We enrolled 88 patients with 99 OSAs treated with coiling,of whom 76 were treated with SAC.The coiling procedures were successful in all 88 patients.Overall,complications occurred in 8 patients(9.1%).No procedure-related mortality was observed.67(76.1%)experienced immediate aneurysm occlusion at the end of the procedure.Long-term angiographic follow-up(18 months)was available in 45/88 aneurysms(51%)(average 18.7±5.2 months).Four patients continued their follow-up for 5 years after initial aneurysm treatment.After a clinical follow-up time of 28.7 months(range,12-51 months),85 patients(95.5%)achieved favorable clinical outcomes(mRS scores of 0-2).Conclusions:This study indicates that SAC treatment is a safe and effective therapeutic alternative for ruptured and unruptured OSAs.The procedural risks are low with relatively long-term effectiveness.Wenquan Gu Geng Zhou Aizada Aldiyarova Tengyue Liu Yi Zhang Weidong Liu Lingping Meng Binxian Gu MingHua Li Ming Su Chen Su Aihua Liu Wu Wang 2023Journal of Interventional Medicine2023,6,3:0
16Land use/cover and landscape pattern changes in Manas River Basin based on remote sensing显示文摘Large-scale water and soil development in inland river basins in arid areas has made changes in landscape composition and structure,threatening the ecological balance.In order to study the trend of land use/cover and landscape pattern change and its relationship with water resources utilization in Manas River Basin,the land-use data of five periods in 1976,1990,2000,2010 and 2015 were analyzed.The results showed that:(1)During 1976-2015,farmland and construction land continuously increased,forest land and grassland continuously decreased,the water area initially reduced and then increased,the area of saline-alkali land initially increased and then reduced,the overall trend of unused land and the sandy area was decreasing and the area of different time periods is floating.The areas of land-use types either increased or decreased.This indicates that the landscape pattern of the basin changes dramatically,and human activities are the main reasons for this phenomenon;(2)The oasis area increased from 3480.2 km2 in 1976 to 7982.0 km2 in 2015,with an obvious increasing trend.The oasis area clearly increased during 1976-1990,the growth rate was 40.6%,the growth rate of the oasis area was 129.4%.In the last 40 years,the degree of desertification fluctuated and decreased.The increase of the oasis area directly leads to the increase of water resources utilization and aggravates the degree of water resources shortage;(3)The pattern of land-use types showed a non-equilibrium trend.In the region with increasing landscape heterogeneity,the overall landscape pattern was increasingly controlled by the majority of patches.The intensive land management model and drip irrigation under mulch have improved the utilization efficiency of water resources and saved water resources from engineering renovation and irrigation management.Xiaolong Li Xinlin He Guang Yang Hongguang Liu Aihua Long Fulong Chen Bing Liu Xinchen Gu 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,5:0
17Hsa-mir-499 rs3746444 polymorphism and cancer risk:a meta-analysis显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are gene regulators involved in numerous diseases including cancer,heart disease,neurological disorders,vascular abnormalities and autoimmune conditions.Although hsa-mir-499 rs3746444 polymorphism was shown to contribute to the susceptibility of multiple genes to cancer,the data have yielded conflicting results.Therefore,this meta-analysis was performed to provide a comprehensive assessment of potential association between hsa-mir-499 rs3746444 polymorphism and cancer risk.In this meta-analysis,a total of 9 articles regarding 10 eligible case-control studies in English(including 6134 cases and 7141 controls) were analyzed.No significant association between hsa-mir-499 rs3746444 polymorphism and overall cancer risk was demonstrated.However,an increased risk was observed in the subgroup of breast cancer patients(G allele vs A allele:OR = 1.10,95% CI = 1.00-1.20;P heterogeneity = 0.114;I 2 = 53.9%) and population-based studies(G allele vs A allele:OR = 1.12,95% CI = 1.00-1.25;P heterogeneity = 0.062;I 2 = 64.0%).The findings suggested an association between hsa-mir-499 rs3746444 polymorphism and increased risk to breast cancer.Peng Zou Lin Zhao Haitao Xu Ping Chen Aihua Gu Ning Liu Peng Zhao Ailin Lu 2012The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,4:0
