| 1 | Effects of dietary arginine levels on growth performance,body composition, serum biochemical indices and resistance ability against ammonia-nitrogen stress in juvenile yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco)显示文摘This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary arginine levels on growth performance, body composition, serum biochemical indices and resistance ability against ammonia-nitrogen stress in juvenile yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco). Five isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets(42%protein and 9% lipid) were formulated to contain graded levels of arginine(2.44%, 2.64%, 2.81%, 3.01% and3.23% of diet), by supplementing L-Arginine HCI. Seven hundred juvenile yellow catfish with an initial average body weight of 1.13 ± 0.02 g were randomly divided into 5 groups with 4 replicates of 35 fish each and each group was fed one of the diets. After 56 d feeding, fish were exposed to 100 mg/L of ammonia-nitrogen for 72 h. The results showed that weight gain(WG) and specific growth rate(SGR) in2.64% and 2.81% groups were significantly higher than those in 3.23% group(P < 0.05). The feed conversation ratio(FCR) in 2,64%, 2,81% and 3.01% groups was significantly decreased when compared with3,23% group. The protein efficiency ratio(PER) in 2.64% group was significantly higher than that in 2.44%and 3.23% groups(P < 0.05). The condition factor(CF) of fish was significantly higher in 2.81% group than that in 2,44% group(P < 0.05). Dietary arginine levels had no significant effect on hepatosomatic index(HSI), viscerosomatic index(VSI), and whole-body dry matter, crude protein, crude lipid, ash contents, as well as serum total protein(TP), triglyceride(TG), glucose(GLU), urea nitrogen(UN) contents and aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT) activities(P> 0.05). After the fish were challenged to ammonia-nitrogen for 72 h, their cumulative mortality rate in 2.81% group was significantly lower than that in 2.44% group(P < 0.05). The results suggested that dietary arginine level at 2.81%could optimize anti-ammonia-nitrogen stress ability of juvenile yellow catfish and a level of 3.23%arginine seemed to depress the growth performance of fish and decreased their tolerance to the ammonia-nitrogen stress under current study. | 2 | Microelement analysis of source of raw materials of terracotta warriors and horses of Qin's Mausoleum in pits No.1 and No.2显示文摘In order to search for sources of the raw material of the Qin’s terracotta warriors and horses, we selected 20 samples of pottery warriors and pottery horses of the Qin’s Mausoleum from pit No. 1,19 samples of pottery warriors and brick from pit No. 2, 20 samples of clays near the Qin’s Mausoleum and 2 samples of Yaozhou porcelain bodies. The 32 kinds of element content of each sample were measured by neutron activation analysis (NAA). These data were analyzed by fuzzy cluster analysis, the trend cluster analysis diagram was obtained. The results showed that samples of terracotta warriors and horses from pits No.1 and No. 2 were closely related to the loam layer near Qin’s Mausoleum, but their relations with the loess layers were not so close, and they were out of all relation to Yaozhou porcelain bodies. | 3 | Fuzzy cluster analysis of the provenance of ancient Yaozhou porcelain body显示文摘The technique of neutron activation analysis (NAA) has been employed to measure the content of 29 kinds of elements in the sample of Yaozhou porcelain bodies. Then a fuzzy cluster analysis has been conducted to the NAA data and a diagram of the dynamic fuzzy cluster analysis has been achieved. The results indicate that the batch of ancient Yaozhou porcelain bodies, which were of different overglaze color and were produced by different kilns during a period of over 800 years from the Tang Dynasty (618—907 A.D.) to the Yuan Dynasty (1271—1368 A.D.), has shared a stable and concentrated raw material source. Provenances of por-celain bodies from different times, though having their spe-cific independence, enjoy a close relationship and are not far from one another. Provenances of porcelain bodies made during the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties (907—960 A.D.) are found to be closer to one another, while those of the Song (960—1279 A.D.) and the Jin Dynasty (1115—1234 A.D.) are comparatively concentrated in certain areas and are dif-ferent from those of the Tang Dynasty. | 4 | A cryptic inhibitor of cytokinin phosphorelay controls rice grain size显示文摘Plant hormone cytokinin signals through histidine-aspartic acid(H-D)phosphorelay to regulate plant growth and development.While it is well known that the phosphorelay involves histidine kinases,histidine phosphotransfer proteins(HPs),and response regulators(RRs),how this process is regulated by external components remains unknown.Here we demonstrate that protein phosphatase with kelch-like domains(PPKL1),known as a signaling component of steroid hormone brassinosteroid,is actually a cryptic inhibitor of cytokinin phosphorelay in rice(Oryza sativa).Mutation at a specific amino acid D364 of PPKL1 activates cytokinin response and thus enlarges grain size in a semi-dominant mutant named s48.Overexpression of PPKL1 containing D364,either with the deletion of the phosphatase domain or not,rescues the s48 mutant phenotype.PPKL1 interacts with OsAHP2,one of authentic HPs,and D364 resides in a region resembling the receiver domain of RRs.Accordingly,PPKL1 can utilize D364 to suppress OsAHP2-to-RR phosphorelay,whereas mutation of D364 abolishes the effect.This function of PPKL1 is independent of the phosphatase domain that is required for brassinosteroid signaling.Importantly,editing of the D364-residential region produces a diversity of semi-dominant mutations associated with variously increased grain sizes.Further screening of the edited plants enables the identification of two genotypes that confer significantly improved grain yield.Collectively,our study uncovers a noncanonical cytokinin signaling suppressor and provides a robust tool for seed rational design. | Dapu Liu He Zhao Yunhua Xiao Guoxia Zhang Shouyun Cao Wenchao Yin Yangwen Qian Yanhai Yin Jinsong Zhang Shouyi Chen Chengcai Chu Hongning Tong | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,2: | 3 |
| 5 | Neutron activation analysis and Mossbauer spectroscopy research on coloring mechanism of Chinese Ru porcelain显示文摘The characteristic spectrum and its main wavelength of Ru porcelain glaze are measured by color difference instrument to determine the relations between glaze color and its main wavelength. The content of the 30 coloring elements in Ru porcelain is determined by neutron activation analysis (NAA), which showed that iron is the major coloring element. Mossbauer spectroscopy analysis shows that the iron element in the glaze exists in the form of structural iron (Fe2+, Fe3+). The quantitative relationship between the main wavelength of glaze in various colors and the relative content of structural iron (Fe2+/Fe3+) is determined. | 6 | Improved Electrochemical Performance Based on Nanostructured SnS_2@CoS_2–rGO Composite Anode for Sodium-Ion Batteries显示文摘A promising anode material composed of SnS_2@CoS_2 flower-like spheres assembled from SnS_2 nanosheets and CoS_2 nanoparticles accompanied by reduced graphene oxide(rGO) was fabricated by a facile hydrothermal pathway. The presence of rGO and the combined merits of SnS_2 and CoS_2 endow the SnS_2@-CoS_2–rGO composite with high conductivity pathways and channels for electrons and with excellent properties as an anode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs). A high capacity of 514.0 mAh g^(-1) at a current density of200 m A g^(-1) after 100 cycles and a good rate capability can be delivered.
