Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF) is a chronic, progressive, and high lethality fibrotic lung disease for which currently there is no effective treatment. Some mi RNAs have been reported to be involved in the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis. 2Preliminary evidence for the presence of multiple forms of cell death in diabetes cardiomyopathy显示文摘Diabetic mellitus(DM) is a common degenerative chronic metabolic disease often accompanied by severe cardiovascular complications(DCCs) as major causes of death in diabetic patients with diabetic cardiomyopathy(DCM) as the most common DCC. The metabolic disturbance in DCM generates the conditions/substrates and inducers/triggers and activates the signaling molecules and death executioners leading to cardiomyocyte death which accelerates the development of DCM and the degeneration of DCM to heart failure.Various forms of programmed active cell death including apoptosis, pyroptosis, autophagic cell death, autosis,necroptosis, ferroptosis and entosis have been identified and characterized in many types of cardiac disease.Evidence has also been obtained for the presence of multiple forms of cell death in DCM. Most importantly,published animal experiments have demonstrated that suppression of cardiomyocyte death of any forms yields tremendous protective effects on DCM. 5Influence of depositional environment on coalbed methane accumulation in the Carboniferous-Permian coal of the Qinshui Basin, northern China显示文摘Based on analyses of the lithofacies palaeo-geography of the Taiyuan and the Shanxi Formations in the Qinshui Basin, the spatial variations of the coal seam thickness, coal maceral composition, coal quality, and gas content, together with the lithofacies of the surrounding rocks in each palaeogeographic unit were investigated. The results show that the thick coals of the Taiyuan Formation are mainly distributed in delta and barrier island depositional units in the Yangquan area in the northern part of the basin and the Zhangzi area in the southeastern part of the basin. The thick coals of the Shanxi Formation are located within transitional areas between delta plain and delta front depositional units in the central southern part of the basin. The Taiyuan Formation generally includes mudstone in its lower part, thick, continuous coal seams and limestones in its middle part, and thin, discontinuous coal seams and limestone and sand-mud interbeds in its top part. The Shanxi Formation consists of thick, continuous sandstones in its lower part, thick coal seams in its middle part, and thin coal seams, sandstone, and thick mudstone in its upper part. From the perspective of coal-bearing sedimentology and coalbed methane (CBM) geology, the lithology and thickness of the surrounding rocks of coal seams play more significant roles in controlling gas content variation than other factors such as coal thickness, coal macerals, and coal quality. Furthermore, it is found that the key factors influencing the gas content variation are the thicknesses of mudstone and limestone overlying a coal seam. At similar burial depths, the gas content of the Taiyuan coal seams decreases gradually in the lower delta plain, barrier-lagoon,delta front, barrier-tidal flat, and carbonate platform depositional units. The CBM enrichment areas tend to be located in zones of poorly developed limestone and well-developed mudstone. In addition, the gas content of the Shanxi Formation is higher in the coals of the delta front facies compared to those in the lower delta plain. The CBM enrichment areas tend to be associated with the thicker mudstones. Therefore, based on the lithologic distribution and thickness of the rocks overlying the coal seam in each palaeogeographic unit of the Taiyuan and Shanxi Formations, the areas with higher gas content are located in the north-central basin for the Taiyuan coals and in the southern basin for the Shanxi coals. 6SrCo_(0.7)Fe_(0.2)Nb_(0.1)O_(3-δ) perovskite stabilized by niobium for oxygen permeation显示文摘The effect of Nb doping on the oxygen permeation and stability of SrCo_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_(3-δ)(SCFO) was investigated comprehensively.Cubic perovskite phase was formed in SrCo_(0.7)Fe_(0.2)Nb_(0.1)O_(3-δ)(SCFNO).The SCFNO with a thickness of 1 mm had a high level of oxygen permeation flux of 1.4 ml.min^(-1).cm^(-2) at 850 ℃ under air/He gradient.The bulk diffusion is the rate-limiting step in overall oxygen permeation mechanism for SCFNO when the thickness is higher than 1.0 mm.The partial substitution of Nb for Co suppresses the transition of oxygen vacancies order/disorder proven by DSC measurement and enhances the phase stability under low oxygen partial pressure.During long-term tests under low oxygen pressure,the SCFNO exhibites structural stability and stable oxygen permeation.It is proved that substitution of Nb for Co is an effective way to improve the properties of SCFO.Wang, Haihai Zhang, Yuwen Geng, Zhen Zhang, Qifei Gai, Yongqian Ding, Weizhong 2012Rare Metals2012,31,4:3
7Coalbed methane enrichment model of low-rank coals in multi-coals superimposed regions: a case study in the middle section of southern Junggar Basin显示文摘The Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation in the central section of the southern Junggar Basin has substantial amounts of low-ranked coalbed methane(CBM)recourses and is typically characterized by multi superimposed coal seams.To establish the CBM enrichment model,a series of experimental and testing methods were adopted,including coal maceral observation,proximate analysis,low temperature nitrogen adsorption(LTNA),methane carbon isotope determination,porosity/permeability simulation caused by overburden,and gas content testing.The controlling effect of sedimentary environment,geological tectonic,and hydrogeological condition on gas content was analyzed in detail.The results demonstrate that the areas with higher gas content(an average of 8.57 m3/t)are mainly located in the Urumqi River-Santun River(eastern study area),whereas gas content(an average of 3.92 m3/t)in the Manasi River-Taxi River(western study area)is relatively low.Because of the combined effects of strata temperature and pressure,the gas content in coal seam first increases and then decreases with increasing buried depth,and the critical depth of the inflection point ranges from 600 m to 850 m.Affected by the changes in topography and water head height,the direction of groundwater migration is predicted from south to north and from west to east.Based on the gas content variation,the lower and middle parts of the Xishanyao Formation can be divided into three independent coalbearing gas systems.Within a single gas-bearing system,there is a positive correlation between gas content and strata pressure,and the key mudstone layers separating each gas-bearing system are usually developed at the end of each highstand system tract.The new CBM accumulation model of the multi-coals mixed genetic gas shows that both biological and thermal origins are found in a buried depth interval between 600 m and 850 m,suggesting that the coals with those depths are the CBM enrichment horizons and favorable exploration regions in the middle section of the southern Junggar Basin.An in-depth discussion of the low-rank CBM enrichment model with multi-coal seams in the study region can provide a basis for the optimization of CBM well locations and favorable exploration horizons.Haihai HOU Guodong LIANG Longyi SHAO Yue TANG Guangyuan MU 2021Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,2:2
8Net primary productivity and its control of the Middle Jurassic peatlands: An example from the southern Junggar coalfield显示文摘The Jurassic is an important period of global coal formation, including the development of several large coalfields in central Asia and northern China. Individual seams within these peatlands represent sustained periods of terrestrial carbon accumulation and a key environmental indicator attributed to this record is the rate of carbon accumulation. Determining the rate of carbon accumulation requires a measure of time contained within the coal and this study aimed at determining the rate via the identification of Milankovitch orbital cycles using spectral analysis. Spectral analyses of geophysical data from two thick coal seams, No. 43(35.9 m) and No. 3(13.2 m), of the Middle Jurassic of the southern Junggar coalfield were conducted to identify significant signals of variations in ash content. The results showed that the variations in ash content of the coal showed spatial cycles at 0.2, 0.7 and 1.1 m^(-1), which were interpreted to represent 123 ka(eccentricity), 37.1 ka(obliquity), and 21.2 ka(precession) orbital periodicities, respectively. Using this timeframe, the depositional time of the No. 43 and No. 3 coal seams were calculated to be 876–970 and 322–357 ka, respectively. In combination with an understanding of carbon loss during coalification, the carbon accumulation rates of these Middle Jurassic peatlands were calculated to be 58.6–64.9 and60.3–66.8 g C m^(-2) a^(-1) for the No. 43 and No. 3 coal seams, respectively. Given that the net primary productivity(NPP) was 4.3 times the value of the carbon accumulation in a mid-latitude region of 40°–45°N, an NPP of 251.8–279.1 and259.1–287.1 g C m^(-2) a^(-1) was calculated for the No. 43 and No. 3 coal seams, respectively. In the context of the same paleolatitude(40°–45°N) and peat type, the NPP values of the Middle Jurassic strata in the study area were higher than those of the peatlands of the Holocene and Permian, and were similar to the NPP values of Early Cretaceous peatlands. Considering the NPP of a peatland is predominantly controlled by atmospheric CO_2 and O_2 levels and temperature, the lower content of CO_2 and an excessive O_2 level in the temporal atmosphere would lead to a decrease in peatland NPP. Therefore, it is inferred that the CO_2 level during the Middle Jurassic was higher than that of the icehouse Permian and Holocene periods, and it was similar to the CO_2 level of the greenhouse Cretaceous period. The results are consistent with the global CO_2 variation curve of Berner. 10LncRNA DACH1 protects against pulmonary fibrosis by binding to SRSF1 to suppress CTNNB1 accumulation显示文摘Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF)is a progressive disease with unknown etiology and limited therapeutic options.Activation of fibroblasts is a prominent feature of pulmonary fibrosis.Here we report that lncRNA DACH1(dachshund homolog 1)is downregulated in the lungs of IPF patients and in an experimental mouse model of lung fibrosis.LncDACH1 knockout mice develop spontaneous pulmonary fibrosis,whereas overexpression of LncDACH1 attenuated TGF-β1-induced aberrant activation,collagen deposition and differentiation of mouse lung fibroblasts.Similarly,forced expression of LncDACH1 not only prevented bleomycin(BLM)-induced lung fibrosis,but also reversed established lung fibrosis in a BLM model.Mechanistically,LncDACH1 binding to the serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 1(SRSF1)protein decreases its activity and inhibits the accumulation of Ctnnb1.Enhanced expression of SRSF1 blocked the anti-fibrotic effect of LncDACH1 in lung fibroblasts.Furthermore,loss of LncDACH1 promoted proliferation,differentiation,and extracellular matrix(ECM)deposition in mouse lung fibroblasts,whereas such effects were abolished by silencing of Ctnnb1.In addition,a conserved fragment of LncDACH1 alleviated hyperproliferation,ECM deposition and differentiation of MRC-5 cells driven by TGF-β1.Collectively,LncDACH1 inhibits lung fibrosis by interacting with SRSF1 to suppress CTNNB1 accumulation,suggesting that LncDACH1 might be a potential therapeutic target for pulmonary fibrosis.Jian Sun Tongzhu Jin Zhihui Niu Jiayu Guo Yingying Guo Ruoxuan Yang Qianqian Wang Huiying Gao Yuhan Zhang Tianyu Li Wenxin He Zhixin Li Wenchao Ma Wei Su Liangliang Li Xingxing Fan Hongli Shan Haihai Liang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9:1

14Repeated Wildfires in the Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation(Aalenian and Bajocian Ages) in Northwestern China显示文摘The coal-bearing strata in the southern Junggar Basin in northwestern China have recently attracted the attention of coal geologists. Its abundance of coal resources is of great interest as there is a potential of unlocking details about the palaeoclimatic information. Coal deposits have the capacity to record wildfire events, even those with inefficient combustions. To characterize wildfire events and palaeoclimatic history of the Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation(Aalenian and Bajocian ages), 22 coal samples from borehole cores and coal mines in the southern Junggar Basin were collected and their macerals were analyzed. The results indicated that fusinite and semi-fusinite were the dominant components of inertinite with proportions of 35.27% and 54.67%, respectively. The presence of inertinite is an indicator that wildfires occurred at the time of peat land development, and the widespread occurrence suggests large scale wildfires during the Middle Jurassic. This study proposes a new parameter for the evaluation of wildfire features by combining burning frequency and burning temperature. The comprehensive evaluation index(CEI) was influenced by the lacustrine basin level and ancient plant types from a sequence framework. During the Middle Jurassic, most wildfires were surface fires with low level and ground fire with high level. High oxygen levels were estimated in the lower, middle, and upper members of the Xishanyao Formation with corresponding to 26.78%, 24.55%, and 23.55%, respectively. The high oxygen levels would be the primary cause of repeated wildfires in the Middle Jurassic. 16Coal Seam Correlation in Terrestrial Basins by Sequence Stratigraphy and Its Implications for Paleoclimate and Paleoenvironment Evolution显示文摘Coal correlation cannot only guide coal and coalbed methane exploitation,but may also provide valuable information for the evolution of the paleoclimate and paleoenvironment during coalaccumulation periods.It is difficult to undertake coal correlation in a terrestrial basin due to multiple superimposed coal seams and a lack of effective marker beds.In this study,based on the analyses of coal-bearing sedimentary environments and the observations of field outcrops and drilling cores,three key sequence surfaces of the Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation were identified in the middle part of the southern Junggar Basin.Three third-order sequences(S.Ⅲ1,S.Ⅲ2 and S.Ⅲ3)and ten fourth-order sequences were divided within the Xishanyao Formation.Regional coal correlation was finally identified,combined with the layered vertical pattern coal and its interval thickness,coal maceral,and coal quality data.In terms of the coal correlation within a specific sequence set,the interval of the B2–B3 coals was approximately three times thicker than that of the B3–B5 coals,which was the main marker for regional coal correlation in the Lower Xishanyao Formation.Furthermore,the phenomena of steadily developed B4 coal seam(2–3 m in thickness)across the Liuhuanggou coal mining area(eastern study region)and the large-small-large variation for intervals between the B8 and B9,B9 and B10,and B10 and B11 coal seams in the Manasi coal mining(western study region)were also an effective means for local coal correlation.Increasing vitrinite and sulphur content and decreasing inertinite content in a third-order sequence were found,which were likely to be closely related to lake level fluctuations.Based on the variation of coal macerals,the wildfire frequency gradually decreased from the bottom to the top of the Xishanyao Formation.The predicted O2level of the S.Ⅲ1,S.Ⅲ2,and S.Ⅲ3 of the Xishanyao Formation was 26.36%,24.22%,and 22.51%,respectively.Except for global paleoclimate effects,the provenance direction changes caused by the Bogda Mountains uplifts would result in a regular variation of coal maceral and coal quality across the study region.Haihai Hou Longyi Shao Yue Tang Yanan Li Guodong Liang Yilin Xin Jiaqiang Zhang 2023Journal of Earth Science2023,34,2:0
17Fractal characterization of pore structure and its influence on CH_(4) adsorption and seepage capacity of low-rank coals显示文摘The pore structures of coal can directly affect the adsorption and seepage capacity of coalbed methane(CBM),which therefore is an important influence on CBM exploration and development.In this study,the pore structures of low-rank coals from the Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation in the southern Junggar Basin were analyzed,and the fractal dimensions(D1,D2,D3 and D4 corresponding to pore sizes of 0-5 nm,5-100 nm,100-1000 nm and 1000-20000 nm,respectively)were calculated to quantitatively describe these coal pore structures.The results show that Xishanyao coal is characterized by open pore morphology,good pore connectivity and well-developed seepage pores and microfractures,which is beneficial to CBM seepage.The D1 and D2 can be used to characterize the pore surface and structure of adsorption pores respectively.The D3 and D4 can be used to represent the pore structure of seepage pores.Compared with adsorption pores,the structure of seepage pores is more affected by the change of coal rank.The D1 is better than D2 in characterizing the methane adsorption capacity.When D1>2.2,D1 is positively correlated with Langmuir volume(VL)and negatively correlated with Langmuir pressure(PL),while D2 shows a weak opposite trend.The coals with the higher D1 and lower D2 are associated with a higher VL,indicating the coal reservoir with more complex pore surfaces and simpler pore structures has stronger methane adsorption capacity.D4 is better than D3 in characterizing the methane seepage capacity.The porosity and permeability of coal reservoirs increase with the increase of D4,while D3 displays an opposite trend,which is mainly related to the well-developed microfractures.The well-developed fracture system enhances the seepage capacity of the Xishanyao coal reservoir.This study reveals the fractal characteristics of pore structure and its significant influence on adsorption and seepage capacity of low-rank coal.Guangyuan MU Haihai HOU Jiaqiang ZHANG Yue TANG Ya-nan LI Bin SUN Yong LI Tim JONES Yuan YUAN Longyi SHAO 2022Frontiers of Earth Science2022,16,4:0
18Study of CO_(2)Flooding to Improve Development Effect in Conglomerate Reservoirs显示文摘For low permeability sandstone reservoirs,CO_(2)flooding has been proved to be an effective method to enhance oil recovery.Reservoir A is a typical conglomerate reservoir in Xinjiang oilfield.The reservoir has strong water sensitivity,and the injection pressure continues to rise.Furthermore the oil well pressure continues to drop.According to the screening conditions of CO_(2)flooding,the reservoir A can easily achieve CO_(2)miscible flooding with moderate temperature.And the reservoir has the advantage of being close to the gas source.Firstly,the relationship curve between CO_(2)oil displacement efficiency and oil displacement pressure was obtained by changing the oil displacement pressure using the fine-tube experimental model,and the minimum miscible pressure of CO_(2)oil displacement was determined.The minimum miscible pressure of reservoir A was 24.1 MPa.The change of oil phase state after CO_(2)injection was further studied by CO_(2)gas expansion experiment.The results show that the saturation pressure of formation oil increases significantly after CO_(2)injection,and the more CO_(2)injection,the higher the saturation pressure of formation oil.When the CO_(2)content in the injected crude oil is 55.29 mol%,the saturation pressure of the CO_(2)formation crude oil system reaches 31.60 MPa.Then,in order to better simulate the real reservoir conditions of conglomerate reservoir,the 2D visualization model of the outcrop was processed to analyze the microscopic oil displacement mechanism of CO_(2).The experimental results show that the remaining oil after water flooding mainly exists in the form of cluster,film,column and blind end,and the remaining oil after gas flooding exists in the form of island,cluster and film,and there is an obvious gravity overlay phenomenon.CO_(2)flooding after water flooding significantly improved sweep efficiency and enhanced recovery.Finally,through the analysis of CO_(2)field injection effect in reservoir A,it is shown that CO_(2)absorption capacity of single well is significantly higher than water absorption capacity.The equilibrium degree of production profile in gas injection stage is better than that in water flooding stage.Injecting carbon dioxide quickly restores formation pressure.The oil recovery effect after gas injection in the trial production stage is obviously improved compared with that in the water flooding stage.The research results of this paper provide a reference for the field application of CO_(2)flooding enhanced oil recovery technology in Xinjiang conglomerate reservoir.Haihai Dong Yaguang Qu Ming Liu Lei Zhang Jiakun Wu 2022Energy Engineering2022,119,4:0

20Notum protects against myocardial infarction-induced heart dysfunction by alleviating cardiac fibrosis显示文摘Background and Objective:Cardiac fibrosis is a pathological reparative process that follows myocardial infarctionand is associated with compromised cardiac systolic and reduced cardiac compliance.The Wnt signaling pathway is closely implicated in organ fibrosis,and Notum,a highly conserved secreted inhibitor,modulates Wnt signaling.The objective of this study was to explore the role and mechanism of Notum in cardiac fibrosis.Methods:A mouse model of cardiac remodeling was established through left coronary artery ligation surgery,with the addition of Notum injection following myocardial infarction surgery.The protective effect of Notum on myocardial infarction was assessed by evaluating cardiac function,including survival rate,echocardiographic assessment,and cardiac contraction analyses.Inflammatory cell necrosis and infiltration were confirmed through H&E and Masson staining.The expression of fibrosis-related genes andβ-catenin pathway markers was detected using Western blot quantificational RT-PCR(qRT-PCR).Additionally,EdU,wound healing,and immunofluorescence staining analyses were performed to detect the effect of Notum's in transforming growth factor beta-1(TGF-β1)induced myofibroblast transformation.Results:The administration of Notum treatment resulted in enhanced survival rates,improved cardiac function,and decreased necrosis and infiltration of inflammatory cells in mice subjected to left coronary artery ligation.Furthermore,Notum effectively impeded the senescence of cardiac fibroblasts and hindered their pathological transformation into cardiac fibroblasts.Additionally,it significantly reduced collagen production and attenuated the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.Our preliminary investigations successfully demonstrated the therapeutic potential of Notum in both fibroblasts in vitro and in a mouse model of myocardial infarction-induced cardiac fibrosis in vivo.Conclusion:Notum inhibition of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and cardiac fibroblast senescence ultimately hampers the onset of cardiac fibrosis.Our findings suggest that Notum could represent a new therapeutic strategy for the treatment of cardiac fibrosis.Tongzhu Jin Zhen Ye Ruonan Fang Yue Li Wei Su Qianqian Wang Tianyu Li Hongli Shan Yanjie Lu Haihai Liang 2024Frigid Zone Medicine2024,4,1:0
