1Cytocompatibility with osteogenic cells and enhanced in vivo anti-infection potential of quaternized chitosan-loaded titania nanotubes显示文摘Infection is one of the major causes of failure of orthopedic implants. Our previous study demonstrated that nanotube modification of the implant surface, together with nanotubes loaded with quaternized chitosan(hydroxypropyltrimethyl ammonium chloride chitosan, HACC), could effectively inhibit bacterial adherence and biofilm formation in vitro. Therefore, the aim of this study was to further investigate the in vitro cytocompatibility with osteogenic cells and the in vivo anti-infection activity of titanium implants with HACC-loaded nanotubes(NT-H). The titanium implant(Ti), nanotubes without polymer loading(NT), and nanotubes loaded with chitosan(NT-C) were fabricated and served as controls. Firstly, we evaluated the cytocompatibility of these specimens with human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells in vitro.The observation of cell attachment, proliferation, spreading, and viability in vitro showed that NT-H has improved osteogenic activity compared with Ti and NT-C. A prophylaxis rat model with implantation in the femoral medullary cavity and inoculation with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus was established and evaluated by radiographical, microbiological, and histopathological assessments. Our in vivo study demonstrated that NT-H coatings exhibited significant anti-infection capability compared with the Ti and NT-C groups. 2Image Smearing Modeling and Verification for Strapdown Star Sensor显示文摘To further extend study on celestial attitude determination with strapdown star sensor from static into dynamic field, one prerequisite is to generate precise dynamic simulating star maps. First a neat analytical solution of the smearing trajectory caused by spacecraft attitude maneuver is deduced successfully, whose parameters cover the geometric size of optics, three-axis angular velocities and CCD integral time. Then for the first time the mathematical law and method are discovered about how to synthesize the two formulae of smearing trajectory and the static Gaussian distribution function (GDF) model, the key of which is a line integral with regard to the static GDF attenuated by a factor 1/ L s (L s is the arc length of the smearing trajectory) along the smearing trajectory. The dynamic smearing model is then obtained, also in an analytical form. After that, three sets of typical simulating maps and data are simulated from this dynamic model manifesting the expected smearing effects, also compatible with the linear model as its special case of no boresight rotation. Finally, model validity tests on a rate turntable are carried out, which results in a mean correlation coefficient 0.920 0 between the camera images and the corresponding model simulated ones with the same parameters. The sufficient similarity verifies the validity of the dynamic smearing model. 3Synthesis and luminescent properties of Ln^(3+) (Ln^(3+)=Eu^(3+),Dy^(3+))-doped Bi_2ZnB_2O_7 phosphors显示文摘The new phosphors Bi2ZnB2O7:Ln3+ (Ln3+=Eu3+,Dy3+) were synthesized by solid-state reaction technique.The obtained phosphors were investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD),photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra with the aim of enhancing the fundamental knowledge about the luminescent properties of Eu3+ and Dy3+ ions in the Bi2ZnB2O7 host lattice.XRD analysis shows that all these compounds are of a single phase of Bi2ZnB2O7.The excitation and emission spectra of Bi2ZnB2O7:Ln3+ (Ln3+=Eu3+,Dy3+) at room temperature show the typical 4f-4f transitions of Eu3+ and Dy3+,respectively.The hypersensitive transitions of 5D0→7F2 (Eu3+) and 4F9/2→6H13/2 (Dy3+) are relatively higher than those of the insensitive transitions in Bi2ZnB2O7.It is conceivable that the Bi2ZnB2O7 structure provides asymmetry sites for activators (Eu3+,Dy3+).The optimum concentrations of Eu3+ and Dy3+ ions in Bi2ZnB2O7 phosphors are both x=0.05.Zhang, Qiuhong Wang, Jing Ni, Haiyong Wang, Linglia 2012Rare Metals2012,31,1:7
4A topologically substituted boron nitride hybrid aerogel for highly selective CO2 uptake显示文摘A topologically mediated synthesis of porous boron nitride aerogel has been experimentally and theoretically investigated for carbon dioxide (CO2)uptake. 5Thermal Influence of the Couette Flow in a Hydrostatic Spindle on the Machining Precision显示文摘Hydrostatic spindles are increasingly used in precision machine tools. Thermal error is the key factor affecting the machining accuracy of the spindle, and research has focused on spindle thermal errors through examination of the influence of the temperature distribution, thermal deformation and spindle mode. However, seldom has any research investigated the thermal effects of the associated Couette flow. To study the heat transfer mechanism in spindle systems, the criterion of the heat transfer direction according to the temperature distribution of the Couette flow at different temperatures is deduced. The method is able to deal accurately with the significant phenomena occurring at every place where thermal energy flowed in such a spindle system. The variation of the motion error induced by thermal effects on a machine work-table during machining is predicated by establishing the thermo-mechanical error model of the hydrostatic spindle for a high precision machine tool. The flow state and thermal behavior of a hydrostatic spindle is analyzed with the evaluated heat power and the coefficients of the convective heat transfer over outer surface of the spindle are calculated, and the thermal influence on the oil film stiffness is evaluated. Thermal drift of the spindle nose is measured with an inductance micrometer, the thermal deformation data 1.35 μm after running for 4 h is consistent with the value predicted by the finite element analysis's simulated result 1.28 μm, and this demonstrates that the simulation method is feasible. 6Selective hydrogenolysis of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-dimethylfuran over Co_3O_4 catalyst by controlled reduction显示文摘2,5-dimethyfuran(DMF), which is produced from 5-hydroxymethyfurfural(HMF) by hydrodeoxygenation(HDO), is a high quality fuel due to the high heating value, the high octane number and the suitable boiling point. Selective hydrogenation of HMF into liquid fuel DMF has been widely researched. In this paper, Co_3O_4 catalyst was prepared by co-precipitation and was reduced at different temperatures to form Co–CoO_x catalysts. The characterization of catalysts was tested by XRD, TEM, XPS, TPR, BET and NH3-TPD.Co–CoO_x possessed a high amount of Co metal and CoO_x acidic sites, wherein Co worked as the active hydrogenation sites and CoO_x acted as the acid promoter to facilitate the selective HDO of HMF to DMF.The synergistic effect of Co–CoO_x is the key for HDO of HMF, obtaining 83.3% of DMF yield at 170 °C, 12 h and the reduction temperature of 400 °C. 7Data Aggregation Scheduling with Guaranteed Lifetime and Efficient Latency in Wireless Sensor Networks显示文摘In scenarios of real-time data collection of long-term deployed Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs),low-latency data collection with long network lifetime becomes a key issue.In this paper,we present a data aggregation scheduling with guaranteed lifetime and efficient latency in WSNs.We first construct a Guaranteed Lifetime Minimum Radius Data Aggregation Tree (GLMRDAT) which is conducive to reduce scheduling latency while providing a guaranteed network lifetime,and then design a Greedy Scheduling algorithM (GSM) based on finding the maximum independent set in conflict graph to schedule the transmission of nodes in the aggregation tree.Finally,simulations show that our proposed approach not only outperforms the state-of-the-art solutions in terms of schedule latency,but also provides longer and guaranteed network lifetime.Chen Zhengyu Yang Geng Chen Lei Xu Jian Wang Haiyong Yang Zhen 2012China Communications2012,9,9:4

9Systematic centroid error compensation for the simple Gaussian PSF in an electronic star map simulator显示文摘Simulated star maps serve as convenient inputs for the test of a star sensor, whose standardability mostly depends on the centroid precision of the simulated star image, so it is necessary to accomplish systematic error compensation for the simple Gaussian PSF(or SPSF, in which PSF denotes point spread function). Firstly, the error mechanism of the SPSF is described, the reason of centroid deviations of the simulated star images based on SPSF lies in the unreasonable sampling positions(the centers of the covered pixels) of the Gaussian probability density function. Then in reference to the IPSF simulated star image spots regarded as ideal ones, and by means of normalization and numerical fitting, the pixel center offset function expressions are got, so the systematic centroid error compensation can be executed simply by substituting the pixel central position with the offset position in the SPSF. Finally, the centroid precision tests are conducted for the three big error cases of Gaussian radius r = 0.5, 0.6, 0.671 pixel, and the centroid accuracy with the compensated SPSF(when r = 0.5) is improved to 2.83 times that of the primitive SPSF, reaching a 0.008 pixel error, an equivalent level of the IPSF. 10Fabrication of ZnO films by radio frequency magnetron sputtering and annealing显示文摘ZnO thin films were deposited on Si(l11) substrates through a radio frequency (rf) magnetron sputtering system.Then the samples were annealed at different temperatures in air ambience and ammonia ambience respectively. The struc-ture and composition of the ZnO films were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The morphology of the samples was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Measured results show thatZnO films with hexagonal wurtzite structure were grown on Si(111) substrates when annealed in the two ambiences. 11A spontaneous thermo-sensitive female sterility mutation in rice enables fully mechanized hybrid breeding显示文摘Male sterility enables hybrid crop breeding to increase yields and has been extensively studied. But thermo-sensitive female sterility, which is an ideal property that may enable full mechanization in hybrid rice breeding, has rarely been investigated due to the absence of such germplasm. Here we identify the spontaneous thermo-sensitive female sterility 1 (tfs1) mutation that confers complete sterility under regular/high temperature and partial fertility under low temperature as a point mutation in ARGONAUTE7 (AGO7). AGO7 associates with miR390 to form an RNA-Induced Silencing Complex (RISC), which triggers the biogenesis of small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) from TRANS-ACTING3 (TAS3) loci by recruiting SUPPRESSOR OF GENE SILENCING (SGS3) and RNA-DEPENDENT RNA POLYMERASE6 (RDR6) to TAS3 transcripts. These siRNAs are known as tasiR-ARFs as they act in trans to repress auxin response factor genes. The mutant TFS1 (mTFS1) protein is compromised in its ability to load the miR390/miR390* duplex and eject miR390* during RISC formation. Furthermore, tasiR-ARF levels are reduced in tfs1 due to the deficiency in RDR6 but not SGS3 recruitment by mTFS1 RISC under regular/high temperature, while low temperature partially restores mTFS1 function in RDR6 recruitment and tasiR-ARF biogenesis. A miR390 mutant also exhibits female sterility, suggesting that female fertility is controlled by the miR390-AGO7 module. Notably, the tfs1 allele introduced into various elite rice cultivars endows thermo-sensitive female sterility. 20A topology-transparent MAC scheduling algorithm with guaranteed QoS for multihop wireless network显示文摘Due to its character of topology independency, topology-transparent medium access control (MAC) scheduling algorithm is very suitable for large-scale mobile ad hoc wireless networks. In this paper, we propose a new topologytransparent MAC scheduling algorithm, with parameters of the node number and the maximal nodal degree known, our scheduling algorithm is based on a special balanced incomplete block design whose block size is optimized by maximizing the guaranteed throughput. Its superiority over typical other scheduling algorithms is proven mathematically with respect to the guaranteed throughput, the maximal transmission delay, and also the minimal transmission delay. The effect of inaccuracy in the estimation of the maximal nodal degree on the guaranteed throughput is deduced mathematically, showing that the guaranteed throughput decreases almost linearly as the actual nodal degree increases.
